Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6Teen. I do not own the original story this is based on.
In a Khaki Barn, not in Amity Park or Canada.
A ghostly being ransacked the shop as he stalked and scoured the employees. He screamed at the cashier as she and the others hid behind the counter.
"W-why are you doing this?" the clerk said, shivering.
"My spell is broken! But not here," the ghost said. His eyes glowed red before he phased out, leaving behind a terrified clerk into the sky. He searched the skies as he went to another location. "I don't know where you are yet, but I'll find you, and I'll get you."
"Th-this is s-s-so going to b-b-b-be a complaint to corporate," the clerk whimpered. She wanted to go on break and home. This had not been what she signed up for.
Danny and Jen had maintained their relationship, despite long-distance issues.
Weeks had passed by, but the couple managed to stay connected with phone calls and video chats. Tucker sent some links with the necessary gear to Caitlin, and that got Jen set up properly. After all, proper webcams were essential.
"Hey, Danny," Jen greeted on the phone.
"Hey, Jen. I thought you were at work," Danny replied.
"I'm on break right now, but I had to tell you of this funny story today."
"What happened?" The boy asked.
Jen began to tell her boyfriend all that has happened this past week alone. It started as normal with the teens hanging out at the mall after school. They met up at their usual table by the Lemon.
Jen's friends were chilling and relaxing as they groaned at another school day. Especially Nikki, who was never happy with her job at the Khaki Barn. Her manager and employees, which she called the clones, had a habit of irritating her beyond belief sometimes.
"I'm so excited with this Fall's newest lineup. Just think of his good id look in this top," Caitlin said, holding up the month's fashion magazine, painting to a nice blouse.
"Just keeping the excitement at a minimal. More fashion means more, and that means—"
"More squealing in stereo?" Wyatt snarked, f in nailing Nikki's complaint. The girl groaned as she had her face in the table.
"Don't remind me," Nikki said as she banged her head against the table.
The others knew that she wasn't going to have a good time with the "clones" today, as always.
"I can probably name at least a thousand things I'd rather be doing today than wasting it at the Crappy Barn," The purple-haired girl snarked, and Jen heard that.
"Oh, please. There's a bunch of stuff we'd like to do. It's nothing new," Jen said.
"Says the girl would rather make kissy faces with her boyfriend," Jonesy teased with sound effects. A quick slap from Nikki put an end to the childish antics.
"Knock it off, Jonesy," Nikki said.
Jonesy rubbed his head for what felt like the hundredth time. The boy couldn't resist teasing someone at times. Luckily, there was always someone to discipline him. Much to his complaints. He glared a bit but was mainly ignored.
"Like, dude! This is so boring!" Jude cried out. His mellow was not as optimal as normal. The boy couldn't even finish his fries.
"Something bothering you, Jude?" Wyatt asked.
"Uh...yeah, it feels like forever since we did something!"
The teens looked at Jude in confusion. The laid-back teen seemed fine yesterday, and that day pretty much went the same. Caitlyn found a cute boy while Jonesy was hired and fired on the same day for one reason or another.
Deadpool even made an appearance at the Lemon, freaking out Jonesy, who hid under the table until the merc walked away. The others shared a laugh afterward. While the merc acted too friendly, thinking they were best friends forever or of the like, he wasn't exactly a menace for the teens and left them alone most of the time.
Besides, if he did bother him, mall security, Rent-a-cop Ron, had the merc on high alert and would pop up. Anywhere Deadpool went, Ron was sure to follow unless something else caught his attention.
"You know, a little change of pace might be a good idea," Wyatt said as he took another sip of his coffee. "How about we see the new Crash Nebula movie?"
"Only if that guy in red doesn't follow me in there," Jonesy says.
"Don't worry... he doesn't seem the kind who'd be into that," Jen says.
"Do you even have enough for a ticket?" Wyatt snarked.
"Very funny. I'll have you know I still got paid for every job I had. And it's right here in my—what the!" Jonesy cried out. His wallet was empty with no cash in sight. Save for a little card with a DP symbol on it that read: Hey, Jonesy. Gonna north some cash real quick, but don't worry. The guys at the dating service say if I steal, I have to pay back.
Sincerely Deadpool
"Dude..." Jude went with a snicker.
"COME ON!" Jonesy shouted.
"Wow, and here I thought the guy wouldn't steal from Jonesy," Danny commented.
"And that's not even the half of it. Turns out Jonesy had save a lot of money from all his jobs," Jen remarked. "Though it was funny to see Deadpool spent the money on horseback riding lessons. Though he was banned from the place once he tried to turn one into a unicorn."
"Uh...why would he turn a horse into a unicorn?" Danny asks, wondering why the merc would do such a thing.
"I'm not sure I wanna know...anyway, more stuff happened..."
The two continued to catch up before lights out. With a kiss goodbye over the phone, the couple charged their devices and went to bed, eagerly awaiting the next call.
Another set of weeks went by as things started to get stressful with schoolwork, tests, and regular work, specifically for Nikki, who was driven batty.
More so than usual because of the new line of huggable jeans that just came in. Why they were called that, no one knew, or cared.
"AAAHH!" The clones screamed and hugged each other.
Nikki, on the other hand, couldn't take another second. She had been using some sweaters as makeshift earmuffs, but they couldn't drown out the high-pitched screech of the blondes' squees.
She even resorted to actually working on folding the displays to distract herself.
"Seriously, who squeals over jeans!" Nikki shouted, throwing a sweater in frustration at another squee.
The girl wasn't having much of a week with tests coming up, and she didn't need the latest fashion sense announced in high pitch. She folded the Jean, in slight disorder, wanting nothing more than her break to start.
And she wanted it sooner as she heard another scream.
"Enough with the screaming!" Nikki shouted. She threw down a pair of jeans and turned around. But instead of unbridled, corporate happiness, the girl saw fear as the clones huddled together, shivering.
"What are you guys doing?" Nikki asked.
"N-N-N-Nikki," Christy, the lead clone, stuttered. She pointed at the floating merchandise as the other two hid behind her.
Nikki turned around to see the levitating clothes but didn't register the events. She just stared blankly for a moment. It wasn't that she was scared, but after days of girlish excitement and loud noises, such paranormal activities were the last thing she wanted to be concerned with.
"And what's with the merchandise floating all of a sudden!" Nikki screamed, turning around to see the clones, scared and clinging to each other. The punk girl was confused before she realized the clothing is never supposed to float or anything else.
"Uhh...ok, that's not right," The punk girl said. She no realized a potential danger afoot and backed away slowly. "What's...going on here? Listen, is this some promotional thing?"
Nikki hoped it to be but had her hope dashed as her manager shook her head. The pink girl groaned as she knew this had to be a ghost. And after the mall incident in Amity Park, the girl left herself to her instincts and ran to the counter to join in huddling fear. But then, a ghost appeared before she could reach some idea of safety. One that looked angry beyond reason. He saw Nikki and glared at her.
"You...you! You broke my spell!" He shouted.
"Oh...crud," Nikki said, walking away from the specter. She screamed as the ghost dragged her through the portal. Her friends grabbed on to tug her out, but the ghost's rage was too much. Not to mention it spooked the teens when he yelled loudly.
Enough to get the attention of the mall-goers. Jen and her friends were walking over to the Khaki Barn when they heard.
"Ahhhhh!"
The teens stopped and blinked. They knew shoppers could be loud but never like this. They ran over to the source as they prepared for the worst.
"Please tell me it's just Deadpool just being angry that Super Taco doesn't have chimichangas on its menu again," Wyatt groaned.
"I don't think he's the kind of guy to make a guy scream like this," Jonesy added grimly.
"Besides, Super Taco added chimichangas after the incident," Wyatt huffed. "They even have a special one named after him."
"Well, there was that one guy, but he was a robber," Jude added.
All this talking got the teens running faster as they closed in on the Khaki Barn. The gang had just arrived to witness Nikki being pulled into a portal. They rushed over and grabbed their friend's arm, doing everything they could to save her.
"Nikki!" Jonesy cried out, being the first to hold on. Wyatt and Jen followed shortly, hugging from behind as the rest did the same.
"Dude! What is happening!" Jude cried out.
"A lame-ass plot going on," Deadpool snarked as he watched. He knew the author wouldn't type him helping and watched with a chimichanga, made with all the works in hand. "That is some lazy writing."
Go complain later. Right now, we have the plot going. As the merc enjoyed his food, the six teens soon found themselves being pulled into the portal. Their combined strength wasn't enough as they slid on the floor.
"You broke my spell! You will be punished!" Came a voice from the other side.
Eventually, Jen, Wyatt, Jude, Jonesy, and Caitlyn gave out, their energy gone as Nikki screamed, being pulled in. The group could do nothing for a moment as they caught their breath and glared at the portal.
"Oh, I wish I was stronger," Caitlyn whined.
"So like, what now?" Jude asked in panic.
Jen glanced at the still opened portal, her mind thinking of a crazy idea.
"Come on!" Jen cried out as the other followed into the portal.
"Are you crazy!?" Jonesy asked, almost freaking out.
"Hey! Nikki's our friend! We've known her since kindergarten and we're gonna have her back! Now let's move!" Jen barked back as she walked to the portal.
"Yeah!" Caitlin cried out.
From behind the counter, the Clones watched in shock. They believed the teens to be crazy or on something, but mostly crazy.
One by one, the teens charged in, determined to get Nikki back. They always had each other's back and now was no different. Even if it meant going into the spooky ghost portal, they have no idea where it will take them.
"For the record, I say this was a bad idea!" Wyatt rapidly cried before the gang disappeared into the portal before it closed down. With a flash, the store was free of any ghostly energy, but the merchandise littered the floors, walls, and some of the lighting.
The clones arose from behind the counter, still shivering. Kristen's jaw dropped as she registered what happened. It took a while for the others.
"What's going in here!?" Ron the rent a cop yelled as he came dress in full swat gear. "I got a tip of something crazy going on! Is it that merc?!"
"And that's my cue to back away," Deadpool said.
The clones fainted from all the excitement. Ron runs over to wake them up for answers before spotting Deadpool, who didn't move far, still munching on his chimichanga.
"You!" Ron shouted as he points to the red-suited merc. "I've got a few questions for you, punk."
Deadpool shrugged as he kept eating.
The teens walked in to find themselves in a ghastly place colored in shades of green. They see islands floating in the air as spirits fly by. Jonesy jumped into Jude's arms as the two huddled closely in fear. Wyatt almost drops his coffee. Caitlin wonders if what she's seeing is real. Jen doubts her headstrong decision as she realized the implications of what just happened.
Meanwhile, Nikki woke up as she grabbed her aching head.
"Where am I?" Nikki questioned. She stood up to see what would look like a store built similarly to a Khaki Barn, except it was green everywhere. "This can't be good."
And things got worse as the ghost who grabbed her appeared.
Deadpool takes the computer from the nerdy author as he awesomely crashes through the wall. He was furious the nerdy author had taken almost six months to post the next chapter of this fic. It was time to punish the nerd!
Seriously, Wade? I'm sorry it took so long, but hey, you are going to have more screentime here. Or is it pagetime? Anyway, that's not how typing works here.
Fine...I guess. Just don't take so long for this. A lot of people like this.
Yeah...anyway, pardon the hiatus for this fic, but I'll hopefully be resuming with chapters more frequently.
Special Thanks! To Flower Princess11 and NeoMark for all their help!
Also, this fic has 100 followers and favorites! Yay! Thank you!
