Chapter 31: Traiveling snd Learning
"Young dragon, as you know. The Storm Gryphons are brutal with their attacks, especially in the skies. As we shared the skies with them and fought against them within their element. I'll be showing you what we have against them. Using their weaknesses led us to using earthbound weaponry with us Earth dragons throw elemental attacks at them." Terrador explained to the purple dragonet
Cinder nodded as he stood in front of him. The two were standing on a flat level platform with an rocky terrain surrounding it. Massive rocks stick up from the ground in several places with a raised platform on one end of the area. The place the two dragons were in was a few feet from the Temple, a training ground for all dragons of the elements. Mostly earth dragons come to this section of the training ground to practice their elemental magic. But the other dragonets come and practice on other parts of the grounds, which a couple of them were practicing. A few fire and electricity dragonets were learning to gain finer control over their magic, but had stopped when they saw the elder Guardian and Purple Dragonet. Terrador then slammed a paw down as green energy shot out from it and through the earth in front of him. A few feet away a pillar of rock erupted from the ground, jaded and sharp as it rose with green energy. Cinder watched on as the Earth Guardian's display.
"This move allows you to shoot pillars of rock up immediately in a battle to surprise enemies. The more powerful you are, the more those pillars you can throw." Terrador advised as he threw a few more out. Then turns to the dragonet. "Now, let's see how you do. Focus on the earth beneath you and concentrate on letting a pillar come up."
Cinder just closed his eyes with confirmation as his answer and calmed his breath. Breathing in and out slowly he felt the swirling energy within his body begin to spin rapidly. As it did his arms began to omit green crack-like energy once again as he focused on the task at hand. Then he suddenly raised both paws up and with a sudden SMASH he slammed both paws into the ground, the ground rumbled as it shook from the force of the dragonet's slam. Suddenly multiple pillars of rock pop up randomly over the ground, each in varying scale and size. After a few seconds of the shaking the ground stops rumbling as Cinder lets go of the power, the glowing cracks on his arms faded quickly as the energy died down. Cinder opened his eyes slowly to see what damage he caused and was astonished by how much he did. Turning his head to see Terrador's expression, the Earth Guardian was impressed by what he saw and grinned softly at the dragonet.
"Well, that was impressive. Great first attempt on that move, and what damage you caused as well. You must be far along in your training to be able to do that easily. But I'm curious, your forelegs and paws glowed as you did the move. Care to enlighten me?"
Cinder scratches his head
"Thanks, but as for the glowing effect on my front limbs. That's something I learned from my foster brother. It's something he learned and I followed how he did it."
Terrador nodded satisfied by the answer but was still curious about the strange move. But Cinder just laughs, stating that it's not from here but from Ninjago. The Earth Guardian just chuckled and advised the dragonet that there are a few other moves that he'll be learning. Then Volteer and Cyril would teach him moves that could be effective in the skies against the Gryphons that could damage them significantly, which Cinder agreed to as he listened to the next move the Earth Guardian gave out. He wonders what Nya and Lloyd were doing while he trained, he hopes that they're getting training but was doubtful on elemental training.
—
"Ok you two, while Terrador teaches Cinder the moves within his element. We will teach you how to move fluidly with the bodies you were given for the time being. After that we'll let you join the other young dragons in the Temple to interact with. But as guests you won't have to join classes with them. Now, let us head to our personal training hall. Let you two be more relaxed in a private area." Cyril said as the two guardians and dragonet ninja headed towards where the Ice and Electricity Guardians knew the room was at.
"This is so strange." Nya muttered
"What's strange?" Lloyd questioned
"That we're stuck here with nobody noticing our absence. I'm worried that Ninjago is being run over by crime, and that we aren't there to stop it."
Lloyd whined but nodded in agreement
"I understand but I have faith that our friends will be able to protect Ninjago while we're gone. We got to help save this Realm first with that Gryphon. This is Cinder's home, he helped save the land my grandfather created and I feel we should return the favor. This is a serious issue we're facing, much more dangerous than the Overlord. So once this is over, we'll find a way to get back to Ninjago, ok?"
Nya just nodded silently and the two went silent as they followed the two Guardians. Moving towards the back right corner of the Temple. After which they came to a door, which had four colored gems- green, blue, yellow, and red on the corners of the frame and the door. Volteer walked up to it and pressed a paw lightly on it, which the yellow gem glowed and with a light rumble it opened. The yellow dragon directed them in, which they did so and entered the room. It was fairly cosy, with a fireplace on one side with two bookshelves on either side filled with books. In one corner were four nests, each for the particular Guardian by the colors over the nest. There was a massive table opposite the fireplace with a red cloth over the top. The two ninja stopped as the two turned towards them.
"Young dragons, our personal training hall is in the next room. But we want to show you this as you'll be coming here to practice." Cyril said as he motioned Volteer at the fireplace, which the Electricity Guardian shot a ball of electricity making it lit up with a fire. The Ice Guardian turned back to the two dragonets. "This is our personal sleeping quarters, which we come here every day to get away from the stress of the students and their antics."
"I see, so what would we be learning?" Lloyd inquired and Volteer spoke up
"As you two are still getting used to how your bodies react. Compared to us dragons, we are only animal-like rather than bipedal like the other races. But I digress, as to how the body structure of dragons are so complicated that we haven't found any—"
"Ok Volteer, stop blabbing or else that tongue of yours will fall off."
Volteer immediately shut up and the Icy blue dragon looked back at the 2 dragonets.
"Like Volteer said, we'll start with you learning basic fighting moves. Then increase the difficulty as you improve. As for your elemental practice, Nya will be learning under Master Stone and Lloyd? As we don't know what element you're under, Cinder will be teaching as he's the only one that knows."
"Of course, That's fine. You agreed on that Nya?"
"U-uh… sure?" Nya said, unsure, and Cyril nodded
"Ok then, let's get started on, shall we?"
—
"Grrrr, ugh!"
Kai growled angrily as he tripped on a vine. He didn't know how frustrating trekking through a swamp was. Going in the swamp after the Time Twins wasn't hard as he was a human, but now as a dragon it was more difficult to do so. After splitting up after escaping the Storm Gryphons Kingdom he, Cole, and Copper headed to the swamps to hide within the wetlands. They watched as the Gryphons searched from the skies, which after a few hours they left with angry caws and thunder rumbling. After that Copper informed the two dragonets that they'll head to the Temple here within the swamps. With that they have been heading through the dense brush and shrubbery.
"Oh, how much farther till we get to the Temple?" Kai asked irritated
"Just an hour away." Copper answered
"Uuuugh, seriously? Would it be easier to get there by sky?" The fire dragonet ninja questioned and Cole looked at him
"Kai, both you and I can't fly and Copper won't be able to protect us in the air. Going by foot is safer, plus we have cover from the trees too so they can't see us."
Kai nodded begrudgingly and grumbled with an annoyed look. Copper looked at the black dragonet.
"Is he always like this?"
Cole shrugged his shoulders
"Yeah, pretty much. Do other fire dragons have issues with anger?"
"No, most are calm and collected. But Kai here… he's more of a blaze than a gentle fire."
Cole chuckles
"That's Kai for ya. He's more impulsive to going into the flames than contemplating his moves."
"Hmm… I can understand why. But—-" Copper stopped immediately causing the two dragonets to stop. Cole looked at him while Kai groaned.
"Why we stop?"
"Shhhhh!" Copper hushed and pointed at his ear hole. The two dragonets immediately shut and listened. As they listened there was rustling and deep breathing coming from the huge shrubbery in front of them with Copper taking a battle stance in front of the two dragonets, blocking their view. After a few tense minutes the noise continued, sounding like multiple beings coming their way. Then Copper's breath hitched as he saw what came out. Cole and Kai pier around Copper and see what the older dragon saw.
In front of the three dragons were some really unique looking dragons. Firstly all 5 of them have no wings, but have a giant flower like bulb on their backs. Their color scheme was an eggplant purple and acid green with yellow eyes. Green spikes were spread throughout their bodies, placed on their front shoulders, head, neck, back, and tail. The spikes on their shoulders were facing forwards, acting as shoulder armor. Their head spikes were connected by a gray web, acting also like leaves bunching up together. Their horns and claws were the same gray as the web with the tail having gray at the base with two acid green blades at the end like a crab's pincers. On their elbows was a giant leaf the same color as their horns, claws, and tail. All 5 were looking at them with scorn and disdain at them. Copper growled at them angrily.
"Oh, what luck. Poison Dragons. I forgot they reside in this part of the swamps."
The Poison Dragon in the middle of the group stepped forward and glared.
"Hmft, well look who we have here? A Earth Dragon with two dragonets. What cheek do you have to enter our territory?"
Copper sighed
"We didn't mean to step here. We were followed by Storm Gryphons, who wanted these two, and needed to hide quickly within the swamps. I didn't know we were close to your territory. We're just trying to get to the Temple not far from here."
The leader growled
"Oh really? And what may I ask why those stupid furballs want with these two? Grrr."
Copper carefully chose his words as he spoke.
"I can't say, but these two have info on someone that the King wants."
All 5 growled
"Oh really? The furball King wants something from anyone. Hmph, to us we don't care however…" All 5 Poison Dragons took battle stances. Kai and Cole looked back quickly to give Copper more space. The elder dragon looked at them warily. "Us Poison Dragons get looked down upon by your lot. Saying you're more important with having wings and being able to fly. We don't get that luxury and have to live within rural areas in the woods or wetlands like this." The Leader then grinned darkly as he and the 4 others spread out. "So these two are wanted by the King Quillsilver? Well, they must have done something to gather his attention and send guards after ya hehehehe. Now… give them over or else we'll end your life, you wretched flying lizard."
—
"Ahhhhhhhhh!"
CRASH!
"Ugh." Jay groaned as he got up slowly and shook his head. He looks around to see he was by himself. He must have fallen off of Zephyr during their escape from the Gryphons. But looking around he could see massive trees and sheer drops around him.
"This look like Tall Plains? Very dense looking, hope Zane and Zephyrs are ok."
"JAY!"
The dark blue dragon looks up to see the silver dragonet gliding down and lands next to him. Jay sighed with relief at seeing a friendly face.
"Zane? Thank goodness you're safe, but where's Zephyr?"
Zane folded his wings as he spoke.
"She saw you falling and told me to go after you. She is distracting them and told us to get to the AtlawasTribe."
"Atlawas?" Jay said puzzled and Zane shook his head.
"I don't know what race they are. But Zephyr told us to go there for safety."
"Ok, sure. Going into an unknown jungle filled with dangerous creatures we have never seen?"
"Well, we don't have any choice. The Gryphons are hot on our tails and we should trust Zephyr. We can use our powers to incapacitate any threats we come across. Now come, let's get away from here." Zane says and begins walking and Jay sighs.
"I hope you're right."
The two dragonets slowly began their trek through the heavy greenery of the jungle. Being careful of anything that could cause them harm. They saw a few creatures that tried to attack them, but were knocked out as both Jay and Zane used their powers. The fog was also an obstacle as it blinds them of where the ground's at. There were a few times that either of them nearly fell but caught each other from death. During the trek they could hear the rumble of thunder and screeching from the Gryphons and wonder what's happening above. But they didn't say anything to not be spotted as Zane led and Jay followed. Soon the two reached a stream and immediately saw two creatures on the other side of its bank. Both of them looked like llamas standing on two legs, wearing attire in brown, blue, and yellow. Jay looked at Zane.
"Are they a threat?"
Zane shook his head
"No, the older one doesn't seem threatening. But they have a child, we shouldn't harm them."
"Jay sighs but nods to the silver dragonet. Then—
"Momma? Who are they?"
Both dragonets turned to see the child looking at them. The mother, from what the child said, looked at Jay and Zane with caution. Zane immediately spoke up to calm the mother down.
"Please! We aren't here to harm you or your child. Me and my friend are trying to get to the Atlawas Tribe. The Storm Gryphons were coming for us, and our friend's holding them off and informed us to go to the Atlawas."
Jay watched the mother's expression turn from caution to relief. She told them she and her daughter are Atlawas. That she can take them there but tells them to not use their powers in the village unless for self-defense. Jay and Zane nodded and followed the mother and daughter to the village. Jay wonders how the others were fairing compared to him and Zane.
—
"Come Nya,. While Lloyd is learning the history of our world from Volteer, unfortunately I feel sorry for his head."
Nya chuckled
"I understand, Lloyd can handle it. Our friend Jay is always babbling when he's under pressure"
"I see." Cyril said as he led the water dragoness outside towards where she could see a few other water dragons standing in front of an older adult water dragon. His fins were clipped in several spots on his spine, the dark red on his body was saturated to a more light red due to age. The light blue almost white with his eyes slightly dimmed but they held wisdom on the skills he knows. He turned his head to see the Ice Guardian and water dragoness walking over. Nya could see his eyes widened and grinned softly. He nodded in greet and the two returned it.
"Hello Cyril, I see your day has been doing fine?"
The Ice Guardian rolled his eyes
"It was, but the young dragonet here." He points to Nya. "Was with another dragonet and a Purple Dragon that were brought in by Ashevwrd."
That statement shushes the water dragon's students, with some whispering to each other about the revelation. Stone looked at Cyril, stone-faced.
"I see. Well I know you're here because she needs practice on her water magic?"
"Yes, if you do please." Cyril responded and turned to Nya." I'll be back and get you for lunch ok?"
Nya just nodded and Cyril gave a neutral expression as he headed back to the Temple. The dragonet looked up at Stone who looked carefully as she moved. He nodded to himself once checking.
"Right, hello to you young dragon. I'm Stone, but call me Master Stone as I'll be teaching you and the others here how to use your magic in the element of Water."
Nya nodded as she walked over and stood next to the other water dragons. Majority of them were male but also a few female. After waiting for Nya to be in the group Stone spoke.
"Now, as you all have seen. A new student joins us today for her training. She'll be your partner but also a comrade during this time. Today's lesson will be the Typhoon Spin."
Nya looked to see that the others were excited by this. She was puzzled by this as Stone took a few steps back. Nya then watched as the elder water dragon jumped up, folded his wings in front of him, and spun. Then whips of water spiral around him as he spun which then the water whips whacked into a few rocks around him. After a few seconds he ceased the move and pulled his back as he took his usual stance and looked at his students.
"Now, see what I did? All of you repeat what I just did, and focus your magic out while spinning."
Nya was nervous as she was still a bit unsteady on her feet. It took a few hours for her and Lloyd to fully learn to use their bodies properly. But this? she tried to calm down as she did what Master Stone said. She first jumped, feeling her feet off the ground as she went into the next move. Then she folded her wings around in front of her and began to spin. But instead of whips of water whipping around her, a bright blue tornado appeared full with magical energy and water as she did Spinjitzu. After a few seconds of doing it she let go of the energy and the tornado dispersed and landed on the ground. After she shook her head off Nya looked around to see that the other students were astonished by her and she looked away nervously. Then Master Stone comes over to her with an interesting look.
"Young dragon, what was that you showed? That wasn't the Typhoon Spin? That was something I had never seen before."
"Well, I don't know myself." Nya said, not wanting to reveal anything of where she came from. Which she could see Stone humming.
"I understand. Well, let's continue on training shall we? I'll show you the Wave Whip." Master Stone said
After two hours of learning new moves and chatting with a few of the other students, which she made friends with. Soon she was back at the Guardians' rooms watching as Volteer and Cyril tried, and failed, to train Lloyd in their personal training room. She could see the leaf green dragonet was getting frustrated by the two. He wasn't getting anywhere in his training from the two. After a bit he had enough.
"Ok! I can't do anything with you 2 distracting me! I'm done right now and need a break."
"Uhh… did I miss anything?" Cinder said concerned as he came in with Terrador. He had learned a lot of tactics against the Gryphons and movs used against them. Now coming back he can see that the green ninja was having a hard time. Nya he can see was doing ok compared to Lloyd but he just sat next to her. Terrador looked at his colleagues.
"What happened?.
"Well, I was trying to teach Lloyd after Volteer kept babbling on ways to get his elemental magic out."
"Well, I was trying to figure out what's the best way to get access to his core. That way if can help him much easier—"
"Ok! Looking here Lloyd needs a break from this." Terrador directed and turned to Lloyd. "Lloyd, go and rest. An unfocused mind could cause mistakes."
Lloyd nodded and headed off to rest, his body sagging with exhaustion. Nya looked at Cinder and asked if he wanted to go explore the city with a few friends she made. Cinder asked Terrador if it was ok to do so and the Earth Guardian approved it, but cautioned to be careful as some parts of the city aren't safe to trek through. With that both water and purple dragonet headed out, leaving through the front entrance to the fountain. Looking around, Nya saw her new friends sitting at one of the sets of seats and motioned Cinder to them. Walking over Cinder could see that all of them were water dragons, 3 of them female and 2 male. They all saw Nya and greeted her.
"Hello Nya! That move you did in Master Stome's class was awesome! We have never seen that before with any water dragons." Said one of the females.
"Yeah, the move you did looks more like how the electricity dragons would do." Said the male and Nya just laughed.
"Yeah, that… hehe. Wasn't expecting to do that."
"Do what?" Cinder questioned which got the other water dragonets to look and then stared in awe.
"Oh wow! A Purple Dragon! I haven't seen one before." Said the other male
"Yeah! The last one was the great Spyro! He was so awesome from what my parents said." Said the other female
"Yeah, but also Cynder." Said the first male with a grumble. "She was a menace to the Realms"
"Indeed." Said the other male but then noticed Cinder's jewelry. His eyes widened.
"Wait! That's her jewelry she wore. How did you get them?"
Cinder chuckled and looked to Nya who nodded to him to continue.
"Well, she left them as an inheritance if they had a child."
All 6 water dragons looked at him flabbergasted.
"You're the child of them?"
"Yep, the name's Cinder. With a "I" not "Y"." He said and turned to them. "What are your names?"
All 6 looked sheepishly at themselves.
"Sorry for that. We were all excited to see you that we forgot. My name's Ziz." Ziz said
"Coral."
"Hydra."
"Kaida."
"Zahira."
"Tsunclaw."
"Mel."
Cinder grinned at each dragon announcing their names and nodded to them in greeting.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. I hope we can get along and be friends."
—
"Rawr!"
"Woah!" Cole shouted as he dodge a swipe to the head. He then moved back and swung his tail blade out as the poison dragon tried to get him. They screeched in pain as the silver blade cut them. They gave Cole a few seconds to get away from them. After getting confronted by Poison Dragons who then started attacking them when Copper refused to hand over the two dragonets. Now the three dragons were fighting them off. The 5 dragons were good but against a dragon like Copper he was taking on 3 of them while unfortunately the last two went for Kai and Cole who both were doing their best against them.
"Ugh! This is getting frustrating. These guys are relentless to keep fighting." Kai growled as he shot a fireball at his opponent.
"Well, it's 5 against 3 Kai. They know the land as well too." Cole points out as he blocked a strike.
"Err, come on you stupid shadow dragon. Why don't you use your magic against me? Or are you too chicken to do so ha!"
Cole growled but he had an idea and smirked internally. He then stood still with a roar, a ball of orange energy connected to a string of energy shot out his mouth. It hit the poison dragon in the chest and shot him back into the trees, knocking him out. The others looked at Cole with surprise and the black dragon grinned.
"You thought I was a shadow dragon?" Cole growled as he then bumped his paws together. Which they glowed along with his forearms, his scar glowed orange as well. "I'll show you why you shouldn't mess with the element of Earth!"
With a roar Cole ran forwards towards the enemy of poison dragons. Jumping up he slammed into the ground with his paws causing a massive earthquake. The ground rumbled as cracks formed and headed towards the enemy. Before they could say anything they shot up into the air, the velocity from below so powerful that it shot the bad dragons far away from them. All of them screeched in surprise and rage as they flew away from the 3 dragons. Cole panted as all his energy was drained from that move. Looking over he saw Copper who's expression was awe and astonishment. Kai, on the other hand, looks at him with a knowing smile.
"By the Ancestors, that was an impressive feat of magic you did."
"Uh… pant… thanks…" Cole said and sat down as he tried to get his breath back. Kai walked over and patted his shoulder. Which Cole thanked gratefully as he slowly gained more of his breath.
"You're welcome but I'm curious how you did it. Your arms glowed as well as that scar on your head? Is this your own move or did your parents create it?"
"Well, maybe we should wait on answers? We're not out of the danger zone. We should move before those other poison dragons come back?" Kai informed and Copper nodded.
"Of course. Come, let's continue to the Temple. There, we can rest and replenish our magic levels. I feel mine are pretty low."
The three moved away from the clearing and continued further into the swamps. Getting away from the knockout poison dragon who was still out. It would be a while before they woke up to see they were alone and the 3 dragons long gone. Meanwhile Copper, Kai, and Cole trekked on through the wet swamplands and checked for any more enemies to cross their path. But it seems luck was on their as they as they hadn't accounted for any more bad guys in the swamps. After an hour of walking through the shrubby and water they came upon a giant stone wall, a few feet to their right was a massive door. Copper moved over to it and motioned the two dragonets over to it. They did so and stood next to him as he opened the door. The earth dragon turned his head to them.
"Welcome to the Temple, young dragons. I hope you two are ok with the living situation while we wait for Zephyr and your friends?"
"Sure, that's fine." Cole said
"Yeah, looks shanty but we slept in worse places right Cole?" Kai replied and the black dragon nodded. The three went inside and the door closed behind them with a clang as they walked through the hallway, the walls filled with artwork and statues as they went deeper. Soon the three entered a room with a small pool8; the middle filled with a strange liquid. Four colored symbols stood above on one side of the pool while the other side didn't. Copper sat down on a massive cushion which Cole and Kai copied. They both looked around at the room with curiosity. Copper chuckled
"This room is for the Guardians to converse and strategize with what's going on in the Realms. Like with training the Purple Dragon of Legend. Sadly there hasn't been one since Spyro." Copper said with a mournful look but changed to a small grin. "Well, it's getting a bit late. We should have dinner and tomorrow I'll help you two on flying ok?"
"Sure." Both dragonets said but Kai coughed.
"Big, don't let Cole cook."
Cole glared at the fire dragonet which Kai laughed at. Copper shook his head in amusement and headed out of the room to find food for the. He wonders how Zephyr is doing on her part of getting the other two here.

Atlawa
Zane was curious about these creatures. These people were how the Serpentine thrived after the battle with the Overlord and his Stone Army. They were all attuned with the seasons and thrived to improve the relationship of their lifestyle, crops, and the gods they worship. That's what Jass, the mother Atlawa that helped them, said about her race. Her and her daughter were at the stream looking for any colorful rocks. They have heard of the thunder from those storm birds, she said. So Zane and Jay followed her to her village which was near a side of a cliff in the plains. With their crops on the other end of the village. With small bushes made of wood and cloth, like tents but bigger than regular tents. The leader, Kane, was a bit wary of seeing the two dragonets but relaxed when Jass explained the situation. He allowed the two to stay in the village till Zephyr came to collect them. During their temporary stay Zane got to see how the Atlawa do in their lives. While Jay watched the skies with worry as the thunder continued onwards Zane learned what the tribe members do, first with helping picking up crops, and watched as they prayed to their Gods. He was intrigued by how they live but was keeping an eye on the skies as well. His 6th sense was telling him that something was going to happen, and the Atlawa might get involved in this.
"Hello Zane, are you alright? I can see the expression on your face that something's going on." Jass said
"I am, I feel like an attack might happen here. Those storms had been going on for the past few days. As I feel the Gryphons are getting close to finding the both of us." Zane said and the female Atlawa considered the silver dragonet's words and agreed with him. She headed to Kane's home and explained what Zane had felt. Kane considered what he heard and understood the situation at hand was dire, and so he and the warriors of the tribe were prepared for battle and waited. Even if Zane was wrong Kane could tell how the storms were continually going endlessly and wanted those Gryphons gone before they did any harm.
Not far from the village in the skies, Zephyr frantically flapped as fast as she could as she avoided hits from the Gryphons. She had felt Jay fell and ordered Zane to go with him and get to the Atlawa Tribe and warn them of the Gryphons. Hoping the tribe was prepared for a battle with the birds. After the silver dragonet jumped off she flew away from them, taunting the Gryphons to come for her and invading their attacks. But she was slowly losing energy as the maneuvering from the attacks started to tire her out.
"Oh come on, you stupid lizard. Losing all that energy now, are ya? Makes it easier to capture you." One of the Gryphons snarled with a grin. Zephyr just grunted as she tried to keep moving. But it was getting too hard to avoid the attacks. Suddenly she was hit by a claw and she went towards the ground with a massive CRASH.
"Ouch…"
Zephyr growled in agony as she laid on the ground. Her whole body aches from hitting so hard into the ground. Looking up she saw all the Gryphons landing and the leader walked over to her with a vicious smirk.
"Well, well, well. Seems like the lizard couldn't keep up with us." The leader laughed in cruelty and stared at her. Zephyr just looked at them with a glare.
"Now, tell me, where are the two wretchlings you have? You told them to flee into the jungle. In my knowledge and my intelligence personnel the Tribe of Atlawa isn't too far from here." Said the leader and "hmphed". "Too obvious of a place to hide. Men, let's go and attack the village. Make sure those Atlawa are dealt with and retreat the two wretchlings."
"Before they could start there were shouts of battle cry as Atlawa warriors came out of nowhere. Surprising the Gryphons who weren't prepared for the surprise attack. With the element of surprise on the Atlawa's side they were able to take the enemy down easily. Soon all the Gryphons were knocked out except for the leader who glared and tried to strike lightning down but was hit with ice. His eyes turned to see Zane and Jay standing next to Kass as the Atlawa tribesmen held his weapon in front of the Gryphin.
"Grrrrrrrr… you can't hold me down. The Storm Gryphons will take you down! You'll regret defining my King, he'll end you all for your rebellion!" He yelled but Jay shocked him.
"Listen here, you furball. Your King is a maniac, and the weapon he's making is going to destroy EVERYTHING! Even you!" Jay said furiously and the leader scoffed.
"You're lying! My King wouldn't destroy his own kind! He wouldn't!" The leader snarled but Zane shook his head and sighed.
"The weapon the King ordered to be made is unstable by its design. If used too much it will overpower and implode, destroying the land and everything else until the Realms disintegrated from existence." The silver dragonet concluded but the leader didn't listen and was still raging. That was until Jay got tired of it and shocked him into unconsciousness. Kane looked at Zane.
"Is this true?"
Zane nodded sadly and Kane nodded grimly.
"Alright, I'll send some of my men to aid in this war. We help you with the Dark Master and now the Gryphon King is doing the same thing. I wished a Purple Dragon was here to help us in this ordeal."
Jay and Zane looked at each other and Zephyr looked at them.
"Young dragons? Do you know something?"
"Uhh…?" Jay said unsure how to respond but Zane answered.
"Reason for the King's interest in us is because our friend is a Purple Dragon. His name is Cinder, he's a great friend to us and with his power the King could use it on his weapon."
Kane and Zephyr stare in disbelief by the statement. The wind dragoness questioned where he was but both dragonets shook their heads. Saying they were out cold when taken so had no clue of Cinder's whereabouts. After questioning them for another few minutes everyone decided to head to the village. To rest, regroup, and consider what's next to stop the Gryphon King. The Gryphons that they took down were locked up underground so that they can't use their powers.
Zephyr needed a few days to recover her energy from the fight. Which the two dragonets didn't mind as they wanted to get flying out of the way so that Zephyr didn't need to carry them. Now after that ordeal everyone turned in for the night as the sun lowered to the ground as stars appeared. Hoping the next day would be a peaceful day, Jay and Zane meanwhile wanted to be with their friends.

King Quillsilver stood in contemplation at the massive contraction in front of him. It had a drill-like pointer held up by beams of metal and stone bricks embedded in the ground for stability. On the other end of the drill were glass vials filled with elemental magic. Not far from the machine was a separate contraction connected to it, in which they forced the magic out of the dragons they captured. The Gryphon King grinned with glee as he watched it build up its power. He turned to the lead scientist of his weapon.
"What's the status of my new weapon?"
The lead scientist, a female gryphon that Quillsilver trusted, cleared her throat.
"Status is going well, Your Majesty. The weapon is at 90% and will be fully up and working in 5 days. Just making sure no defects are within it, else the weapon would self-destruct and go out of control."
The King nodded
"I see, well I'm pleased progress is going smoothly. How are our prisoners enjoying the experiments you and your team are doing?"
The scientist grinned deviously
"Oh, they're going swell, Your Majesty! I'm having so much fun seeing how they tick with their magic. Even going as far to remove their elemental core entirely out of them!"
The King crackled
"Oh, that's marvelous! I feel no sympathy for them losing their magic permanently." He said and then turned to leave the room. "Well, I must return to my throne. A King has to do his job at running a kingdom."
"Of course, Your Majesty! Don't let me distract you from your duties! Have a pleasant day." The scientist replied as the King left the room. However the scientist and her team didn't do a final job on checking the machine thoroughly. Within the drill a few gears weren't mschined properly, they still worked but if put under stress if used too much will snap. Forcing the weapon to build pressure until it implodes.
The King was none the wiser as he returned to his throne. Not knowing he'll be the cause of destruction to the Realms.

A/N: Well, I got to say that this chapter too WAY longer than expected. Plus how much was packed into here of going through 3-& different scenes back and forward was fun...
But I'm happy with this "season" almost done with. I'll said maybe 2 chapters left to do or should I do a SUPER long chapter with the ending of this "season".
Hope everybody enjoys a happy new year and I hope Season 3 of Ninjago DR is good (still need to watch Season 2 still)
Ninja Never Quit
Please comment and tell me how well I did on this chapter. Hoping it's ok and decent.
