Chapter 2 The legend

Izuku opens his eyes and finds himself inside a hospital room. Not the first time he's woken up at a hospital, he's lost count. He tries to get himself back up but someone stops him.

"You best stay still dearie; you need your rest." He his greeted by a elderly woman. "The wounds you received were superficial, but you need energy for my quirk to work."

"Who are you?" Izuku asked.

"My name is Shuzenji Chiyo. It's nice to meet you dear." Chiyo introduces herself. "Now..." She puckers her lips. The sight of the older woman made him cringe, he got enough of that from his Grandmother.

"Wait it's okay I'm good I can cauterize my wounds shut!" She kisses him on the cheek. The cuts and bruises fade away, but leaves Izuku drained.

"That is my quirk. It accelerates a person's healing ability by using their stamina, here you go." She hands him a vitamin gummi. "Here you go."

"Oh... Thank you..." He eats the gummi. "Thank you for the aid Shuzenji, but I need to get back out there." He starts to get off the bed. "I need to get a hold of my agent, he's gonna skin me if I don't file a report about my damaged suit. Not to mention that villain, I'll need to make a report on that too."

"You don't worry about that dearie; everything is being handled." She stops him again. "You need your rest... We also have some things to discuss..."

"We?" Chiyo nods.

"My co-workers are coming over; they have some questions." The doctor said. "In the meantime, let's chat."

"Sure thing, what's on your mind?" She glares hard at Izuku.

"What was that you said about cauterizing your wounds?" She demands.

"Oh that! It's just a quick fix! Whenever I get hurt, I can use my power to seal the wounds shut. It hurts, but being hurt is better than bleeding out."

"Well no more of that unless it's an emergency. You could do more harm than good." She scolds. "But I have to say, that's a fine mastery of your power, care to talk about it, or is it private."

"That's fine. My power is called Agnikinesis." Izuku starts to explain his power. "It allows me to manipulate heat. I can do a whole lot of things with my power like attack with super-heated air and ignite the molecules in the air to create fire, then I can control the fire by manipulating the heat the fire produces."

"My, your power is quite something. I take it you can extinguish fire too?"

"Yes, but I can't just wave my hands and extinguish the fire. I have to manipulate the fire, pull it all into one point and starve the blaze. I did this in a controlled environment, no one was hurt!"

"I know dearie. You don't seem the type to set a building on fire just to test out a new move." Chiyo said. The door to the room opens and two people and a large bipedal rodent enters the room. The two men are heroes, Izuku could tell by the way they're dressed. The man with the long black hair and stubble looks like he hasn't had a night of sleep in day, dress in all black. The scarf around his neck must be a tool of some kind, maybe to protect his neck? The man with the spiked white hair carries a stern no nonsense aura around him. He wore a red and black jumpsuit with white gauntlets and boots.

"Hello Midoriya. It's a pleasure to meet you." The rodent said. "My name is Nezu, principal of UA High school, japans most prestigious hero school. These two are Eraserhead and Vlad King, both are pro heroes and teachers."

"Wait... Hero schools were just in the works. Only days ago, did the government give it the green light." Izuku said, confused.

"What year is it Midoriya?" Nezu asked.

"Twenty fifty." The hero Eraserhead sighs. This is something straight from a comic book.

"We got something to tell you." The hero starts to explain. "The year is two thousand two hundred and fifty. You've been gone for two hundred years." Izuku is silent before letting out a fake laugh.

"Very funny... Alright Velocity you can come on you, you got me good." Izuku chuckles. Vlad king shakes his head.

"Eraser doesn't joke around with matters like this. You disappeared two hundred years ago after your fight with the Banisher." Vlad King said. "Quirks, or as you called them in your time Meta-powers have become common place, with eighty percent of the world possessing a quirk." He points to himself and Eraserhead. "It's as the principle said, we're teachers and pro heroes."

"So, everyone... Velocity... Battlemaster... Typhoon..." Those names were some of the first heroes ever commissioned by the government. "Katsumi... They're all dead..." The confusion and grief on his face is visible to everyone in the room.

"I know this is hard to believe but it's true." Nezu said. "But your service and sacrifice has inspired others to walk the same path you have so many years ago." This shocks Izuku. "In fact." The rodent walks to the window and opens the blinds. "You inspired generation after generation of heroes and people alike, even if they don't admit it." Izuku looks outside the window. He sees a mass of reporters and a large gathering of people, many looked to be teenagers, children and young adults.

"Look at the group of people below, they all look up to you as the example hero. The very definition of what it means to be a hero!" Nezu exclaims. Izuku stares out at the people, shocked at the impact he caused.

"I was just a young man who looked up to heroes. Ordinary people who become extraordinary." Izuku makes his way back to the bed and sits. "Often times when I was younger, I would get beat up by older children because they bullied someone else. Protecting people just felt natural to me."

"Tell us everything, if you can..." Eraserhead requested. Taking a deep breath, Izuku begins his story.

V

A sickly six year old Izuku laid in his bed with a thermometer in his mouth. Right beside him is his mother Inko Midoriya and his friend Kasumi Tsurai. The alarming beep of the thermometer makes Inko worry. She pulls out the thermometer and gasps at the number.

"Oh goodness, Forty point one Celsius..." This begins to make Kasumi worry.

"That's bad right?" Inko nods. The two leave the room to let Izuku rest. The next two days were a blur for Izuku. He's always suffered from fevers since he was four but it was never this bad. Nothing Inko did made it any better, but oddly Kasumi never caught the illness that was ravaging Izuku. One day, Kasumi enters his room with Inko.

"Hey geek, still feeling like crap." Kasumi asks. Izuku nods weakly. "How about opening up a window. It feels like its summer in here. I wonder if the furnace is broken?" But before she could open a window, she feels the temperature begin to rise and rise. "Auntie! Something's wrong!"

"What's going on?" Inko quickly makes her way to Izuku but shocked at the sight of her baby boy. His skin was flushed red. She places a hand on his forehead and recoils from the heat. Katsumi quickly makes her way to the window and opens it, hoping to let all of the trapped heat out.

"It feels like sitting in front of a bonfire!" Katsumi complains, sweat collecting on her forehead.

"It can't be…" Inko realizes that her baby, her precious little boy has a meta-ability. Looking at Izuku's pained expression she quickly figures out that Izuku is trying to reign in his power so he doesn't hurt them. The worried mother grabs Katsumi and starts to pull her out of the room.

"Stop it! I'm not leaving Dekiru!" Katsumi fights to free herself.

"Izuku will never forgive himself if he hurts us in any way!"

V

"That was when my power manifested." Izuku finishes the first part of his story. "Any questions?"

"I have one." Vlad King steps forward. "Did your mother have a quirk?"

"If she did, it wasn't noticed. Meta- I mean quirks were rare. According to a government consensus only ten percent of the world had some sort of power."

"What was it like, when quirk first started appearing?" Eraserhead asked. Izuku looks the hero dead in the eyes.

"It was bad... The government started busting down doors, arresting people and children with powers and hauling them to facilities so they could learn what caused the change. Martial law was in effect, and our rights as humans were revoked."

V

A nine year old Izuku watches on TV as police escort people with meta-abilities into a armored Van, all of them were using their powers to commit crimes. One activates his power and starts to fight back, shooting nails like bullets. The escapee is gunned down by the police.

"Izuku!" Izuku jumps, surprised. Right behind him stands his mother. "You shouldn't be watching this..." She turns off the TV.

"There's nothing else to watch..." He curls up. "What if they discover I have powers... Will they do bad things to me? Will they do bad things to you for keeping me?"

"Oh Izuku, my little hero... Nothing will happen to you; I'll make sure of it." Inko declares.

As days passed the treatment the empowered got became worse. They weren't just targeting the empowered, but their families too. Even worse, a group of people who called themselves the True Sons of Humanity have begun to terrorize Japan with their 'human purity' beliefs. It all came to ahead when the police came to his house because they got an anonymous tip.

"Ma'am. We have reason to believe that your son is a meta-human." The police officer said, holding a warrant. Behind the police officer stands three SWAT officers, ready for anything.

"You think my baby is one of those Meta-humans!?" She shouts in mock outrage at the accusation.

"I know that it's a shock, but we need to make sure." The officer said.

"Now wait, please! I know my son better than anyone. I can guarantee you that he's not a Meta." Inko blocks the officer.

"Stand back ma'am, you're interfering with a investigation." The SWAT officers get ready to take down the woman.

"WAIT!" The shout startles the mother and the police officer. Standing right behind Inko down the hall is Izuku. "I'm a meta-human..."

"IZUKU, NO!" Inko starts to cry.

"If I go with you, will you leave my mom alone?" The officer nods.

"We just need you kid..." He sighs at the sight of the heartbroken mother begging and pleading "I'll give you a minute to say your goodbyes..." The police detective waits.

"My baby! Please..." Inko cries. "You can't take my baby!" She screams in pure anguish.

"Mom... I'll be okay... Everything will..." Tears begin to pool in Izuku's eyes. "Alright..." His voice cracks. "I'll come back someday... I promise..." The two hug each other saying their goodbyes.

"It's time to go." The officer comes back into the apartment. "Ma'am. I would advise you move to a different city. Those True Sons will find out about your son and target you."

"I... I understand... Just... Please don't hurt my baby boy..." The detective nods.

"There's nothing to worry about. He's going to a facility, not a detainment center. We just need to determine if his power is a danger to society." They cuff Izuku for good measure and escort him to a police van.

"Another easy catch." A SWAT officer comments.

"It's a shame the Metas aren't all like the kids we apprehended, would make our jobs way easier." His buddy comments. Izuku starts to cry harder.

"Way to go, you made the kid cry even harder." The third SWAT officer scold the two other officers.

"No... It's... I didn't say goodbye to Kacchan!" Izuku wails. "I'll never see her again!"

"Hey now..." The police detective bends down to Izuku's eye level. "Once you're all situated at the facility you can write you friend a letter." They lift Izuku in the police van. "We'll be in the van in front of you, be nice to the others okay." Izuku nods and sits down next to the other children.

V

Izuku finishes the story of his capture. He looks at the faces of the pro heroes standing in the room. Nezu didn't show any emotion on the surface but Izuku could tell that he is furious. Aizawa right hand clenched into a fist and shook with barely contained rage. Kan felt righteous indignation bloom in his chest, angry at those who would take a child's innocents. Chiyo is sad rather than angry from hearing the story.

"That is quite the story." Nezu comments. "You've been through a lot young man."

"I know they were scared of quirks, but who would allow them to separate a mother from her child." Kan calms himself down, taking a deep breath. The Erasure hero looks at Izuku with newfound respect. Without a doubt, this young man is the very first hero.

"Midoriya. Not many would willingly sacrifice themselves like you did. Instead of running you willingly turned yourself in, knowing that you might never see your loved ones again. Being a hero is more than just fighting villains and saving people it's about—"

"Helping those in need and protecting those who can't fight." Izuku finishes. The teacher nods.

"I also recall your most famous quote." Aizawa said.

"The best kind of hero wins a fight without throwing a single punch." Izuku chuckles, recalling his very first interview. "A lot of the 'villains' I 'fought' were just antsy teens angry at the world. They just needed someone to tell them that they're not alone. Some of them would become great heroes."

"Do you wish to continue dearie?" Recovery Girl asked. "You don't have to if you don't want to continue." Izuku nods.

"I was taken to a secret meta-ability containment facility. It was a very sterile environment with white rooms and no windows, white hallways, armed guards, and doctors equipped with state-of-the-art technology to research our powers. They ran tests on us, to see what we can do with our powers and how we changed. Luckily, they realized that if they treat us like normal children then we won't revolt. We wore collars that monitored our vitals. If we became stressed or violent the collar would sedate the person wearing it." Izuku reaches to his neck.

"It did have a dark secret… If someone has a resistance to the sedatives then they would activate the collars electrocution feature."

"How horrible…" Recovery Girl said in disgust.

"It's kind of ironic, when I first saw it used it saved my life." Izuku recalls his time at the facility. "They didn't just test our powers but our morality, to see if we were delinquents and cause problems. I had the highest morality score and because of that I was the head boy of my block. Each block had sixty children, thirty boys and thirty girls living separately for obvious reasons."

V

A large scaly fist slams into a ten-year-old Izuku and sends him tumbling back. The large teen had a mutation that made him look like a giant were-crocodile. This teen is known to be violent and cold blooded. Since day one this guy has had it in for Izuku, hating him for being the head of block 2-C and believes that he should be the leader because he's stronger. Behind Izuku is a seven-year-old boy with a levitation power, he can make objects float in the air for ten seconds before becoming dizzy.

"The fact that you, a weakling gets to lead our group pisses me off." The mutant crocodile snarls. "I should lead, you're just a kid and a weakling!"

"You need to stop; the collar sedative will activate!" The crocodile teen laughs.

"That's the thing…" He doesn't feel the prick in the back of the neck. "The needle can't puncture my scales!" He lunges forward to grab Izuku but starts to convulse violently. Men dress from head to toe in riot gear come into the cafeteria and drag the crocodile mutant away.

"C-715." Izuku looks to his right and sees one of the caretakers, dressed in a lab coat. "Explain what happened." Izuku bows.

"I'm sorry sensei. Rokuro was just throwing his weight around. I tried to talk him down but he didn't listen." The doctor sighs.

"Sound like some discipline is in store for C-105." Hearing this makes Izuku worry.

"Wait Sensei! I wasn't able to handle the incident! I should be the one reprehended." This just makes the doctor smile.

"That's the reason we made you head boy of Block-C. Be sure to go straight to the nurse's office. C-809, make sure he goes is that understood?" The boy stands up and bows.

"Yes sensei."

V

"Sounds like living at the facility wasn't as bad as people made it out to be." Vlad said. "Horror stories were written about these places, how they experimented on the quirked."

"I'm getting to that part." Izuku continues his story. "Faculty of the research facility had to be changed out. The scientists weren't delivering on their research on what caused our powers to surface. The guards also didn't stick around, some quit because working with super powered teens can be stressful. By the time I was thirteen every staff member I knew was replaced. We didn't know at the time that the new people were a part of a dangerous group."

"The True Sons of Humanity." Eraserhead said.

"That's right. The True Sons wanted to purge the weak metas and enslave the strong. The tests became increasingly brutal and invasive. The guard would instantly electrocute us if we so much as look at them funny, and the warden couldn't do a thing or he would be replaced too." Izuku rubs his neck. "As head of the boys block, I had to take responsibility for any and all infractions, big or small."

"That's terrible…" Recovery Girl comments.

"Luckily the nightmare ended after only a year. The facility was attacked by a group of freedom fighters. They wanted us to join their cause and wage war against the True Sons of Humanity. I decided against joining." Izuku said.

"You just wanted to go home did you?" Nezu asked. The young man nods.

"I just wanted to see my mother again. The others joined because they had no one left or had no home. Our liberators told us that the True Sons hunted down our families and killed them, but I didn't believe them. During my trek home I learned what was happening to the world."

"Then you made your debut as a vigilante." Vlad said. "If I recall you saved a quirked person from a mob of True Son supporters." Izuku nods.

"That's right, I started my one-man war against the True Sons. But I had to be smart, I could just run around a beat them up. I had to find out more about the True Sons, I made many allies from fellow vigilantes to the police. During our investigation we discovered something alarming…"

V

Inside of police station, Dekiru and his vigilante team are in a meeting with the police commissioner. It took them months of spying but they managed to find out who was supporting the True Sons. "I can't believe it…" The police commissioner said, shocked as he looked at the pictures and files. "I know people that were going to vote for this guy!" The pictures were of a politician running for Prime Minister that has ties with the True Sons, they even got a video of Gokei using his own power.

"With the evidence we gathered we are one hundred percent sure that Gokei Shukenja not only has a meta power, but is using the True Sons as a means to get new powered people to join him." Izuku explains. "We came to you because your one of the few members on the force that support us."

"I understand now. You can't act against him without looking like terrorists." The commissioner said.

"If we were to confront him, we would look like the villains." One of Izuku's allies said.

"Shukenja is going to have a rally. We plan on revealing this video to the nation. But we need you to help evacuate the people attending in case things get dicey." Izuku said. The police commissioner nods.

"I'll tell my most trusted officers. Just try to keep damage to a minimum."

V

"I take it things went south when you ambushed Shukenja?" Aizawa asked.

"Yeah it did." Izuku answers. "While we put an end to his plans, he decided to take a more 'direct' approach. The police managed to evacuate the people attending the rally. It helped that a lot of them just left on their own once they learned the truth. A police officer made a move to arrest him but Shukenja crushed his skull with just one hand…" Izuku clenches his fists. "That monster had the most sick and twisted smile I've ever seen." The gleeful smile Gokei gave to Izuku and his company will haunt the him for life.

"We tried to fight him, but he was too powerful. He ripped us apart, I put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough. Some of my teammates decided to give up trying to be heroes and returned to living normal lives, two of them were even killed. Once I recovered the government gave me and my remaining allies permission to use our powers to fight villains."

"Did you ever fight Shukenja again?" Vlad asked. Izuku shakes his head.

"It was never Shukenja. He was found dead in his private estate." Izuku said.

"All for One had a disguise quirk?" Aizawa asks.

"At the time he did. I never could catalogue all of his quirks since he can just give them to his henchmen." Izuku clenches his fists. That man always found a way to escape justice.

"He just sent henchmen after henchmen after me. Every time I would get close, he would escape. We were very few in number and everyday he would gain new followers. We also had to fight the True Sons who were back to their meta human trafficking ways, villains who would abuse their quirks. But we had to fight, if we could just beat him then all of the violence would stop. We had to stop the villain. He was behind everything, pulling the strings of everyone."

"Then you fought the Banisher." Aizawa said.

"The Banisher wasn't well…" Izuku frowns. "He was just a sad and broken man who lost everything because of his power. Shukenja picked him up from the streets and experimented on him, giving him another power, but doing so drove him insane. He wanted to use his enhanced power to banish everyone, erase the world and end all life."

"That poor man…" Nezu sighs.

"By the time we fought him he was too far gone. Just as I was about to capture him, he used his quirk to create a portal. I was just gone…" Izuku racks his brain, trying to remember what happened when he was consumed by the Banishers power.

"We can take a break. You need to rest." Recovery Girl comments.

"Thanks…" Izuku sighs. "So, what did I miss?"

V

The four heroes leave Dekiru's room to give him some time to rest. It's almost hard to believe that they were in the presence of Japan's first pro hero. Without a doubt he lives up to his name as a hero. Every single one of them own Dekiru thanks for his heroism. Without him, they wouldn't have a job.

Sitting the receptionist area is a gaunt man with wild blonde hair. He's talking to a young female nurse.

"Well, if it acts up just call okay." The man nods.

"Of course, thank you." The nurse leaves. The four heroes approach the man.

"She saw me coughing up blood. Started to panic." The man said.

"No doubt you exerted yourself." Recovery Girl comments.

"So how is the young man?" He asked.

"He's fine if that's what you're wondering Yagi." Vlad said. "Before you ask, he is the real deal." Toshinori Yagi couldn't believe it. One of the many heroes he looked up to as a young boy is alive and well. Not many heroes from the early days were well known. But Izuku Midoriya is a different case. In the past, heroes use to hide their identities for fear of villain and public reprisal.

One of Dekiru's closest friends was determined to make sure her friend was remembered. She risked her life coming forward about information about Dekiru. After coming forward she fell off the grid, never to be seen or heard from again.

"This is going to be interesting…" Toshinori comments. "Once he undergoes a performance review from the commission, he'll be working alongside the heroes he has inspired."

"I think he shouldn't continue being a hero." Aizawa comments.

"What do you mean?" Toshinori asked.

"Perhaps we should discuss this matter back at U.A." Nedzu said. The heroes leave the hospital and are immediately hounded by the press. A hard glare and the use of his quirk, Aizawa intimidates the press and they let the five heroes' pass. Once inside the car, Aizawa continues.

"He was a child solider force to fight in a war against villains. He barely had anytime to be a kid." Aizawa explains. "Every day was a fight and it only ended with him being flung into the future. Perhaps it's time for him to hang up the cape and retire."

"It will be up to him if he wants to retire or not." Vlad said. "But I don't think he'll quit. We all heard what he's been through, what he's done for others and what he's endured. He'll jump back on the bandwagon and be saving people and fighting villains."

"If that's the case, then he'll really need to go plus ultra." Aizawa remarks. "Quirks have become much stronger in the last two hundred years."

"You're afraid he won't be able to catch up?" Nedzu asked. The Erasure hero nods.

"If he really can't go beyond what he can do then he's a liability. We can't have liabilities out in the field, they cost lives." The rest of the drive is silent.

V

A week has passed since he arrived to the future and Izuku wastes no time getting caught up on what has happened to the world. Not a lot has changed in technology except for 8K ultra resolution TV's and cars that use much less gas. Everyone is so focused on quirks that other branches of science have suffered, he figured they would have a colony on Mars by now. Quirks are much more powerful now. Two hundred years ago they were simple and not very destructive with a few exceptions, villains and heroes had to be creative with their powers, fights were more tactical back then, the moment you learned what a villain can do with their power and their limits is when you win.

Izuku looks outside and sees that the massive crowd of people has dwindled greatly. The news vans are all gone, most likely chasing after All Might. He has yet to meet with All Might but without a doubt he's the strongest hero he's ever seen. Maybe with all of these heroes he can finally relax.

The door opens revealing Aizawa, A hero named Present Mic and an older man named Toshinori Yagi. A day after he arrived here, he met with this older man. When he started to cough up blood Izuku almost called the nurse, but he assured him that he's fine and he's just dealing with an injury he got in an accident.

"Hey there Midoriya." Toshinori waves. "You doing okay?" Izuku nods.

"Yeah. The doctors gave me a clean bill, as of today I'm clear to leave." Izuku said. "Don't know where to go through."

"You could stay with me young man." Toshinori offers. "My apartment is large enough to support three people."

"The commission president also wants to meet you." Aizawa said. "It's why you're being kept here. Don't worry about paying the medical bill, it's already been paid."

"U.A chipped in and offered to pay, but the commission swooped in and paid for everything." Present Mic said. "Got to say. It's actually cool meeting you."

"It's nice to meet you too." Izuku smiles.

"Must be nice to get some respect isn't it." Present Mic said. "I hear back then the heroes weren't treated too well." Izuku nods.

"Only very few people trusted us and worked with the heroes." Memories of insults and violent anti superpower protestors come to his mind. "It's so different now." Aizawa looks on the corner table and sees a massive stack of letters.

"I take it you never got any fan mail." Aizawa said. Izuku shakes his head.

"Well… Some of the people we saved would send us gifts. My team and I saved this old lady and the next day she sent us a whole batch of chocolate chip cookies." Present Mic chuckles.

"Yeah! Best part of saving sweet old ladies!"

"It's hard to believe I inspired so many people…" Izuku looks at one letter, misty eyed. It was about a young girl who was struggling financially, all she wants to do is help her parents live easy lives. In another letter, a young man expresses his guilt over not helping his classmates because of his cowardice. He got so many letters from so many young people who he inspired to become heroes, its enough to make any grown man cry.

"Who wrote this one?" Toshinori wonders as he reads the letter. "It's short and very explicit." Izuku looks at the card and chuckles.

"Get better dumbass or I'll kill you…" Izuku reads aloud. "I've never gotten a threatening get well card before." Everyone chuckle.

V

Inside a black sedan. A woman sits in the back seat. She's dressed in a power suit with her light blonde hair tied in a bun. Her light blue eyes scan the video of Dekiru fighting. Right next to her is a young man just as old as Dekiru. He has light blonde hair, dressed in a bomber jacket and has red tinted glasses.

"You've been watching that video all day ma'am." He comments.

"I have haven't I…" The president closes her lap top. "We owe much to Dekiru. We would be ruled by villains if it weren't for him." The very idea of being ruled by a villain sent shivers down her spine. The nation has truly no idea how they dodged a horrific fate.

"Yeah, that would suck…" The man groans.

"That's an understatement Hawks." The Commission president said. "How was your patrol?"

"It was quiet… At the risk of sounding clichéd, way too quiet." The woman's brow furrows. "Think Dekiru's return got them all scared? I mean the guy's a living legend, you got to be stupid to attack the nation's first hero."

"Stupid and overconfident." She can't help but wonder what Izuku would think of the commission. In the past, the commission has done things that would be viewed as villainous, but it was all for the greater good to protect this country from all threats. She just hopes Dekiru understands. Suddenly, the car stops on a dime.

"Madam president. We got a problem." The drive said. Hawks' gets a closer look and sees a gang of villains blocking the street. "Should I take a different route?"

"No need. Hawks…"

"I got it." The hero leaves the car and makes his way to the villain group.

"Shit it's Hawks!" The number three hero counts the heads of all of the villains. Ten villains in total with possible back up hiding.

"So… How about you guy's surrender. We all know how this is going to end." Hawks said.

"Like hell! We're on our way to—"

"Hey guy's, where's his wings?" One villain asked.

"What are… Oh—" Sharp and fast, Hawks feathers eject from the trunk of the car and descend on the villains, striking them and knocking them out. In just mere seconds the villains were quickly subdued. Hawks makes his way to the leader of the villains.

"So, is it just you guy's or are there more?" The number three hero asked.

"Screw you!"

"Just a simple question. No need to get angry about it." Police back up arrives to help Hawks contain the villains.

"Quick as always Hawks!" A police officer salutes the hero. "Huh… where's the rest?"

"The rest?" Hawks asked.

"These guys are a part of the Black Viper Gang. It's a gang with over one hundred members." The officer explains. While organized crime is nearly non existent. Several villains tend to group up and form large groups. These groups aren't very powerful and can be easily be dealt with. The black viper gang is one of the latest.

"So, there's more…" Hawks said. Another police officer arrives, looking panicked.

"We got trouble! There's been sightings of members from the Black Viper Gang converging on the Musutafu Central Hospital!" The hero's eyes widen in shock. "Other heroes have managed to deal with the other villains that were on route to the hospital, but the one group couldn't be stopped!"

"Well, that's not good." Hawks looks and sees the commission president make her way to them. "Ma'am—"

"I heard. Go!" She commands. With a nod, the hero collects his feathers to form his wings and flies as fast as he can.

V

The group of heroes talked about work and life outside the hero world, and what Izuku plans to do after his release. That was when a doctor burst through the door and makes his way inside Izuku's room, panting from the long run. Every hero in the room looks at the doctor, confused.

"We have a problem! A villain gang is converging on the hospital!" Everyone becomes alarmed.

"Well… Shit…" Present Mic cursed.

"Had a feeling something like this would happen." Aizawa said. "It's too great of an opportunity to pass up." He turns to Midoriya and finds him up on his feet. "What are you doing?"

"Where's my suit?" Izuku asked.

"No." Aizawa stops him. "You can't fight."

"I'm healthy enough. If they're here for me then they're going to get their wish."

"If you fight without your license, I will have to arrest you for vigilantism. Now stand down." Aizawa orders.

"Doing that will just kill your career Aizawa." Toshinori said. "It's best if we let him go."

"That's not logical." Aizawa retorts.

"And fighting in a hospital is?" Izuku asks. "We need to move before this place becomes a warzone!"

"I'm n-not against that idea…" The doctor said. "We have a lot of patients that can't be moved." Aizawa groans.

"Fine… Let's go." Once Izuku is dressed, he opens the window. "Seriously?" Izuku looks back and smiles.

"This is the fastest way. See you on the ground!" Izuku jumps and uses his quirk to slow his fall.

"Mic, meet us outside. All Might go to the lobby and wait in case any villains show up." Aizawa orders.

"You got it!" Mic and Toshinori make their way to the hospital lobby to protect the hospital from the villains.

The Black Viper gang is a group of villains led by the infamous villain Burakku Hebi. He's a ruthless and violent man with a Black Mamba based quirk. Hearing the legendary hero return from the dead, the leader rallied his men and makes a bee line to the hospital where Dekiru was recovering. If he kills Dekiru, he'll become the most feared villain in the world.

"This is it boys." The leader hissed. "Once we kill Dekiru we'll be the strongest villains in all of Japan!"

"Hell yeah!" The group of twenty villain's cheer.

"Our boys are keeping the other heroes busy. We need to be quick!" They all arrive at the hospital.

"Look boss! It's him…" One of his henchmen points at the Dekiru, dress in his damaged hero costume, standing in the middle of the courtyard. Hiding away from the villain's sight, Present Mic and Eraserhead wait for the right moment to strike. Burakku hisses with excitement.

"Well now. The legendary hero has come to greet us!" Burakku shouts. "Suround him!"

"What? Not man enough to fight me on your own?" Dekiru asked as the villains surround him. The snake man laughs.

"They're just here to slow you down! Once I sink my fangs into your body you'll be as good as dead!"

"You 'heroes' are nothing more than government agents!" One of villain's shouts. "You are just tools of oppression!" Dekiru scoffs. He's lost count on how many times he's been called a tool of oppression.

"Please… You just want to kill me for the fame. But tell me, what happens when someone wants to take out the guy who killed Dekiru?" Izuku asked.

"I'll Just kill them! My venom kills fast and melts organs! I'll be the most feared villain in the world!" Izuku looks unimpressed at the villain.

"And yet, you need your henchmen. If you really want to be the strongest villain the world you would do this yourself, but what can you expect from someone who's a forked tongue snake." Dekiru spat. "Even if we do this one on one, you'll just go back on your word. You can never trust a snake." The hero spat.

"You bastard!" Burakku hisses angrily. "You want to do this one on one! Fine!" The serpent man marches towards the hero. "I'll kill you and reclaim the honor of all people with snake quirks!"

"You don't speak for them. In fact, you insult them with your actions!" Dekiru takes a fighting stance.

"You'll soon learn not to disrespect the Black Viper Gang!" Burakku charges towards the hero. Before the villain could get into striking range, Dekiru lunges forward and uppercuts the snake man with his right fist, and with his left hand he places it on his chest and pushes him away, sending the villain to the ground.

"A question… Are you cold blooded?" Izuku asked. The villain slowly gets back up on his feet.

"I am… What of it…?" The villain asked.

"My power—oh I mean my quirk, Agnikinesis lets me manipulate heat from anywhere and anyone. It's a good power that helps people who have escaped a burning building who are overheating. But since your cold blooded… Well I'm sure you know what that means." The snake villain's eyes widen and tries to run, but he feels himself slowly fall asleep. With his body entering hibernation, he curls himself up and falls asleep. The gang of villains looks in shock. Burakku Hebi, leader of the Black Viper Gang has been taken out in just two attacks.

"Everyone! Get him!" The villains charge at Izuku. "He can't take all of us!" Using his power, Izuku blasts himself high in the air and out of harm's way.

"YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" A shout from Present Mic sends the villains to the ground clutching their ears.

"All that's left is to—" A rain of red feathers comes down on the villains, pinning them to the ground. "Those feathers…" Aizawa looks and sees the number three hero Hawks arrived and is standing at the hospital entrance.

"S'up… Glad I made it." Hawks said nonchalantly as he makes his way to the heroes. "I would have been here sooner but I had some villains to deal with."

"That's some pin point accuracy and amazing speed." Izuku compliments the hero as he descends to the ground. He lands on the ground and nods at the hero. "Nice work."

"Getting complimented by the guy who started it all. Man, you're going to make me blush." The number three hero smiles. Police cars and vans arrive and they begin to arrest the villains.

"We got lucky." Aizawa comments.

"Come on Eraser! Stop being a stick in the mud!" Present Mic slaps Eraserhead on the back. "Dekiru did great!"

"I HAVE TO AGREE!" The three heroes look and see All Might.

"Dude, where were you?" Hawks asked.

"Apologies young Hawks. I was guarding the hospital in case the villains try to use the hospital staff and patients as hostages!" All Might explains.

"It was my idea." Aizawa said. "If the villains managed to get passed us then they have to deal with All Might, I'm sure they would surrender on the spot."

"I wanted to fight the villains. They came here because I was here, I should be the one the clean up my own mess." Izuku said. Police officers make their way to them and salute.

"We'll take it from here!" Before they begin rounding up the villains, Izuku speaks up.

"Umm… Shouldn't I be in trouble? I used my pow—quirk without a proper license…" One officer shakes his head.

"Nothing to worry about sir!"

"If they kept your location hidden then this wouldn't have happened." The other officer said. Izuku looks at the police officers, flabbergasted.

"Okay…" Izuku watches on as the police officers work and haul the villains away.

"What, first time ever getting some respect from the boys in blue?" Present Mic asked.

"Yeah… Back then the police hated us, view us heroes as interlopers. Heck, I've even been shot at by the police a few times."

"WHAT!?" All Might and Present Mic shouts, even Eraserhead and Hawks look surprised.

"It was during my vigilante days. They didn't see a difference between vigilante and villain." Izuku explained. "Even when we were given government authority we were still treated poorly."

"How horrible!" All Might clenches his fist. "Rest assured that will never happen ever again!"

"So, you're All Might. It's nice to meet you…" Izuku offers his hand.

"The honor is all mine young man!" He shakes his hand.

"All Might! Dekiru! Over here!" The heroes look and see members of the press with cameras. "Hawks! Present Mic can you move in so I can get a good shot!"

"Umm…" Izuku looks at the press, confused.

"Never had a photo op before?" Hawks asked.

"Nope… Where did Aizawa go?" Izuku asked.

"Not a fan of the press." Present Mic answers. They all pose and smile for the cameras. "The vultures are going to eat this up."

Inside a bar, a young man with white unruly hair looks at the newspaper. Red eyes glare at the article. All Might stands with Hawks and the legendary hero. The young man grinds his teeth. He hates All Might and every hero with all of his being and standing next to All Might is Dekiru, the one who helped create this hero society. Sensei said that he's crafty and smart. He didn't fight like the heroes of today, they solely rely on their quirks. Dekiru takes his enemies apart, break down their strengths and weaknesses and uses them against his opponents.

An idea begins to form in the young man's mind. All Might can wait, if he kills the first hero then everyone will realize just how pointless it is to be a hero.

"Sensei… Is it possible for me to kill Dekiru…?" The man asked. A TV comes to life, the screen saying only audio.

"It would be best if you focus on All Might, Tomura Shigaraki." His sensei said. "All Might is weakening, and the weapon that is being crafted is tailor made to counter him. Dekiru will have to wait."

"He's that dangerous?" Tomura scratches his neck.

"Do you no remember the stories? Dekiru and myself only fought once but one time was enough. His intelligence, fighting skill, and quirk make him a dangerous adversary." All for One didn't walk away from that fight unscathed. He suffered from a severe case of hyperthermia after that battle. After that fight he decided to hunt down someone with a heat resistance quirk.

"Fear not Tomura, your time will come. First All Might, then Dekiru and this horrid society he helped create." All for One can see it now, his protégé killing All Might, the symbol of peace and Dekiru, the symbol of heroism. Just the thought of it makes the villain smile. He can't wait for that day.

A/N This would have been out sooner but I caught COVID over Christmas. I'm recovering at the moment. Hopefully new chapters will become a weekly thing. That is if life doesn't get in the way.
