Just A Piece
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"
Cinder was furious; no, she was practically incandescent, very nearly spitting at him in a towering fury, calling him every conceivable name and curse under the sun all in a vain attempt to express how completely and utterly LIVID she was with him.
Honestly, it made walking more than a little difficult; it only because she kept distracting him nearly making him blunder into people as he walked.
Amber and emerald had begun to notice, naturally, which made it all the more difficult to tune Cinder out.
"Are you done?"
"I dont know. Do you think im done, Adam?"
"I don't think she's done.
"I AM NOT!"
Such a noisy bitch.
He dug a finger into his ear in a vain attempt to get rid of the ringing. She was probably gonna give him tinnitus at this rate, assuming he didnt already have it.
"Mercury!"
Had she a body, he suspected she would've tried to attack him by now.
Thankfully was little more than a disembodied voice in his head; one that subsided with a measly whimper once he blasted her with chakra.
All that power and whar did you do with it?! " she hissed at him, momentarily cowed, but far from broken. "You gave it away to a mere slip of a girl! You fool! Do you have any idea-
"Only a piece."
She paused. "I beg your pardon?"
A shit-eating grin split his face.. "Well since you begged...
"You can do that?"
"Yup!"
Spring sang happily in his head. For some reason, he didn't like the idea of disappointing her.
"I can reclaim it any time I want," he said. "And I will, if need be. Nothing came easy for me, no matter how hard I believed. I earned this strength. Through blood and sweat and tears, I earned it. So I'm gonna do what I want with it.
Surely this won't backfire. Its not as though she'll misuse the power.
Naruto barked out a bitter laugh of his own.
"No one in the world is that naive."

Ruby Rose sneezed
Once. Twice. Thrice, now.
"Is somebody talking about me?

He chuckled a little. "Going to ground, for one."
Someone pressed a dust-pistol to the back of his head.
Naruto exhaled in a long-suffering sigh. "Or not." He deadpanned. You do realize I have aura, right? C'mon now...
