9. Core Outsiders () UNAF Gensokyo Garrison

Core Outsiders and UNAF Gensokyo Garrison

Following the end of Puella Magi Rescue and Aincrad Clearance Operations in year 2017, Gensokyo received a massive influx of Outsiders. This undoubtedly will be an issue if not for the fact that the Second Influx has started in 2010 during the outbreak of World War 3. Since the cause of this was an Outsider (Sumireko Usami, who were drafted into UNAF), those in Gensokyo decided to allow the creation of a faction consisting of Outsiders. But it didn't end there. Yasei Sugaku decided to gather the scattered Outsiders that has no connection to the Influx, and he ended up creating Core Outsiders, a group of Outsiders that has proved their strength by surviving in Gensokyo prior to the Reunification in 2020.

Shortly after the Reunification, it's later revealed that many nations on Earth, America in particular, have noted the strange occurrences in Yatsugatake Mountains, and there are even some units being dispatched there during the entirety of World War 3. One of them was an American fireteam that found their way into Gensokyo during late 2010, and it's believed that Marisa received inspiration to create her weapons after looking at their arsenals. It's only after Lucy Thesda's appearance that the Americans finally have a presence in Gensokyo, since Britain beat them to it via Vaati Star. After Gensokyo got their independence from Japan, UNAF also managed to station a garrison force inside, and Iseya Sugaku is the one who's in charge.
