A/N Welcome back everyone. Now this chapter is shorter than usual, There is one thing I needed to clear up. All the scenes with Jennifer are taking place in the future as far the story goes. I hopefully want to try to get chapter adaptations for 11 Louds A Leap'n and Tricked out before the year ends. So for now though, enjoy!

Mama Bear

Ronnie Anne, Clyde and Lincoln surrounded Will as they looked over his shoulder to eye the photograph he was holding.

The picture was of a young looking Will. looking about five years old he had a bright smile on his face. He looked mostly the same as he does now, except there's no jacket and his shirt was bright blue instead of white. He was sitting on the flexing arm of a younger, more muscular man with shorter curly brown hair. He wore black jeans and a purple shirt. He flexed his muscular left arm and Will was sitting on it.

The most striking thing in the picture was a very attractive woman. With the same light brown hair that Will has running way past down her back. She was wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. She was reaching up and placing her hand on Will's back.

"That's her?" Ronnie Anne asked Will didn't respond, but the three understood enough, Will didn't need to answer.

Soon the door opened and all the Loud sisters poured through the door. One by one they saw Will's somber face, any conversations they had as they passed through the door instantly ceased. They crowded around Will, Ronnie Anne moved away, yet Clyde and Lincoln stayed looking at the picture. They all looked at it in awe. Will's looking at the picture was disturbed as he was surrounded by a sea of people.

Leni placed a hand on Will's shoulder which he was happy to receive from her. He smiled warmly at her before she joined in looking at the picture with her siblings.

"That's her!" Lola said, repeating what Ronnie Anne asked.

"Wow!" Luan gasped. "She's gorgeous!"

"Yeah she is!" Lincoln said blushing.

"Absolutely." Clyde agreed, also blushing. Ronnie Anne smacked their heads to snap them out of their attraction.

"Sorry." Lincoln apologized to Ronnie Anne. Will grumbled in annoyance at the two eyeballing his mother. He moved past it quickly.

"I don't like that, but I get it." Will sighed. His tone conveys annoyance. "Dad did say that when they met, mom turned a lot of heads when she entered the room."

"Who's the man holding Will?" Leni asked. Everyone rolled their eyes at her, it's obvious who it is.

"That's Mr. Clements Leni." Lisa explained.

"She does make a good point." Lori added. "Your dad looks so different compared to now."

"Yeah, he's skinnier." Luna pointed out.

"Also, he doesn't have a mustache." Lana added.

"And more muscle!" Lucy threw in.

"Less hair coming down his back!" Lynn chimed in.

"OK I GET IT!" Will shouted. The Louds all flinched but Will cleared his throat. "Sorry, I get it. Dad looks so different now compared to then."

"Was he always a giant?" Clyde asked.

"As far as being really tall? Yes." Will answered.

"I suppose alcohol can be pretty damaging." Lola muttered. The others glare at her because she brought up a bad time in Will's life.

"No, it's ok." Will said, calming everyone down. "It's true some scars from that drink, even after you get clean, will never go away. He just decided to adapt his new looks after he cleaned up."

The Louds all shivered once they remembered a specific incident that occurred after Will moved to Royal Woods. Will saw this shivering and knew exactly what it was about.

Will added. "Of course one more thing would happen to make sure he commits to his promise to stay clean. It's not easy to beat."

(Flashback)

It was a father's day BBQ two years ago. Dad unfortunately brought beer to contribute to the feast of burgers and hot dogs. Dad promised me this wasn't a relapse for getting clean for half a year. I was still a jerk at this point. We were all having a good time, although as usual at this time. I was just sitting at the picnic table away from everyone. It was the 'adults' table despite trying to be alone. I was with the other older Louds.

Unfortunately the party was just beginning. Dad brought two twelve packs of beer. By the time we were eating dinner one and a half of the twelve packs was already consumed. Mr. Loud had two, he was sitting next to dad working on a third can. Dad already slipped and was a completely different person at this point.

*Hic* "You know Lynn." *Hic* Nicholas said to Mr. Loud, with slurred speech and hiccups, his cheeks were pink from the booze. Will groaned, feeling embarrassed because he knows what's happening. He's seen it too many times already.

*Hic* "That Rita of yours is one hot Lady." *Hic* "I can see why you had so many kids with her." *Hic* "My ex wife was a beauty too. Ohhhh how I miss her!"

Nicholas threw his arm around Mr. Louds's shoulder in a friendly way. However, Mr. Loud looked extremely uncomfortable. Not just with Nicholas's words but him getting aggressively touchy-feely and now starting to whine and cry, needlessly making himself look incredibly pathetic. The rest of the Loud family were greatly offended at this. They glared at Nicholas at first, however they turned their angry faces to Will. Mrs. Loud covered her face. Her heart was beating like a machine gun from embarrassment.

Will just facepalmed

He yelled. "Dad!? How could you do this to me!? You said you'd clean yourself up! Now embarrassing me and ruining my life!"

Will stood up and stormed out of the celebration and ran to his house, he locked himself in his room. Despite Nicholas's impaired state he felt the weight of his mistake on his shoulders. His head dropped onto the table.

(End Flashback)

Dad apologized profusely for his actions once he sobered up. It took weeks for us to be in their good graces again. Dad spent lots of time and money buying stuff and doing work and favors for them to make it up to them. Eventually all the Louds forgave him once he made sure to stick to his commitment to never drink again. He was back on their good sides, me however. Well, you know.

"Ok everyone get comfortable." Will announced, it was time for the story to start. The Louds including Ronnie Anne and Clyde all bunched together, many of them crammed onto the couch, looking comically squished together.

Luna and Luan sat together in the big chair on the side. The rest just sat on the individual chairs brought in from the dining room. Little Lily was sitting on Lori's lap, she would hear this story as well, despite being too young to remember it.

Will sat in front of everyone in his own chair. Everyone looked at Will with a mixture of excitement and encouragement.

"You're being very brave for doing this." Lori said in a calming voice.

"We're so proud of you!" Luna added. Will just smiled at the encouragement.

Normally I would be terrified to do any sort of public speaking such as this, but these guys are my closest friends not strangers.

Over at the Clement's house there was a similar set up in the living room.

Knock Knock.*

Agnes answered the door and the Loud parents were on the other side. Nicholas came over to look over her shoulder to see who was there.

"Hey Rita! Hey Lynn!" Nicholas called. He was moving a chair from the dining room to in front of the couch.

"This mystery about you guys is finally about to be revealed." Mr. Loud said as Agnes let the two inside.

Mrs. Loud added. "It was nice how you two agreed not to say anything until you both agreed that you were both comfortable first."

"He didn't even tell me." Agnes added. "It was odd, but he told me about his pact with his son and that he had no intention of breaking his word."

"I was ready for a long time." Nicholas chuckled. "Poor Will wasn't, but now he is. The only difference is that I'll tell you how I met my ex and some things leading up to Will's birth."

"So why aren't you telling this together?" Agnes asked.

"We talked about it before." Mr. Loud explained.

Mrs. Loud added. "We respect Will, but he's not as close to us as he is with our kids. We agreed that something so personal can only be shared between people you're close to."

Agnes shrugged. "I suppose I understand."

The three adults sat on the couch, the primary difference between this setup and the one Will has, is that on the couch were the Loud parents and Agnes. Nicholas was sitting in his own dining room chair in front of his audience.

"By now Will is telling this to your kids." Nicholas said to the Loud parents. "I'll tell you what happened now."

Jennifer was just telling Octavia some details about her old life.

"You mean you haven't spoken to your son in four years?" Octavia asked.

"I haven't." Jennifer sniffed in reply. "Not even for a 'Merry Christmas,' or a 'Happy Birthday.' I'm horrible. He's my child and he still needed his mommy. I don't even know where he or my ex-husband is in this world!"

"Woah." Octavia said, blinking her eyes in amazement. She knows this is wrong of Jennifer as a parent, but she knows it's not her place to judge.

"Suddenly the loading dock in the back, the doorbell rang." Octavia and Jennifer jumped in shock. Nervous butterflies filled Jennifer's stomach, she knows who it is.

"I'll deal with him." Octavia said, volunteering.

"I'll stay away from him, but if Travis wants to talk to me, I'll see him. He needs to know." Jennifer said sheepishly. Octavia nodded and went to the back to deal with Travis, Jennifer sighed as she refocused on the making of the Star Spangled ladies outfits. Octavia already had two complete so only thirteen remain.

Fifteen minutes passed and Octavia returned without Travis.

"Is he mad at me?" Jennifer asked Octavia.

"Hard to say, he asked if you were here and that was all." Octavia answered.

"How did he look?" Jennifer asked.

"Indifferent." Octavia sighed. "Although I doubt that he's not hurt that you just got up and left him. You know, he'll probably call you later."

"If he does I'll talk to him." Jennifer also sighed. The butterflies are leaving her stomach.

The two worked hard for hours. Their efforts combined completed another one suit. Half the day was spent when they decided to take a break. They were sipping on tea in the breakroom.

Jennifer groaned. "This order is overwhelming and my old life is weighing on my mind, but nothing like a hard day's work to help your mind."

Octavia asked. "So what was so horrible about your old life that it caused you to leave and not see your son?"

"Well, I'll get to that but first." Jennifer answered in a meek voice. She reached for her purse on the floor by her feet. She opened her wallet inside and took out a photograph. It was a picture of her in a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown. In her arms was a cute newborn baby, standing over her shoulder was a large man with curly brown hair resting his muscular arm on her shoulder, the two were looking down and smiling at the life they had just created. The baby was wrapped in a white cloth blanket, his eyes closed and sleeping.

Jennifer handed Octavia the picture, Octavia smiled at the picture of the warming scene it depicted.

"Aw look how cute he is!" Octavia cooed looking at the cute picture.

"It was amazing the day he was born." Jennifer said. "I've never seen such a beautiful person."

"Is that your ex?" Octavia asked, pointing at the man. Jennifer nodded. "He's not as good looking as Travis but I can see him being a good man." Of course she was only repeating what Jennifer described about him earlier.

Octavia then was confused. "I don't get it. You look so happy in this picture! Why did you guys separate? Especially knowing now that your boy needed you?"

Jennifer just collapsed her head onto the table and said nothing.

The day carried on with work, another suit was completed and they made it halfway through another suit. It was the end of the day when the two left the store and returned to their homes. Not soon after Jennifer entered her home her phone rang. It was Travis. Jennifer gulped as she answered the call. The same butterflies from earlier entered her stomach from earlier.

"Hello?" Jennifer said, answering the call.

"Hey, it's me." Travis said in a gentle tone.

"Uh, I'm so sorry." Jennifer said, her voice cracking on the verge of crying again. "I'm sorry about our date."

"I'm not mad." Travis interrupted. "I do want an explanation though. I think I deserve that much."

Jennifer sighed in sadness, she needed to tell him.

"I can't, not over the phone. Can you come over?" She asked.

"Sure." Travis answered. He hung up the phone. Jennifer went to her room and sat on the bed staring at the photograph on her nightstand.

It took about thirty minutes until he finally arrived and knocked at Jennifer's door. She went over and answered it. Travis looked more casual compared to how dashing he looked on their date. Jennifer looked the same too, although her face carried much sadness and regret. Also, like she hasn't been sleeping well.

"You look like heck." Travis said, his voice was playful, as if he's trying to lighten the mood. "But still very pretty."

"I'm not really in a laughing mood, but I appreciate it." Jennifer replied.

Travis was let inside. The two sat and had tea at Jennifer's kitchen table.

"I'm sorry." Jennifer apologized again.

"Don't beat yourself up about it too much." Travis said with a warm smile.

"I can't because it's not just about me walking out on our date that caused it." Jennifer retorted.

"So, what happened?" Travis inquired being as delicate about this as he can. "Did you really mean what you said? You know, about 'it being you and not me?' I'm not stupid, I mean most guys know that if we're told 'It's not you it's me.' We know it's definitely me."

"That was true." Jennifer replied. Feeling a little offended hearing her words pushed back at her, although she feels she may deserve it.

She continued. "In the sixteen years we've been apart….." She tried to say the words but they were stuck in her throat so she couldn't get them out.

"I'm not mad, just tell me it's ok." Travis said as he placed his hand on hers.

Jennifer calmed down feeling his hand touch hers. With his assurance that he wasn't angry she could finally get the words out.

"In the sixteen years we've been apart…I met someone. In college." Jennifer explained.

Travis chuckled softly in response. Jennifer was confused and a little irritated at this reaction.

"Is that all?" Travis said. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh." He silenced his laughter and retorted himself. "It's ok, I mean, there were others on my end when we weren't together. It's just they were all nice and everything but they all had the same problem."

"What?" Jennifer said, the confusion left her voice but the irritation didn't.

"They weren't you." Travis concluded. "Not the beautiful girl I met in second grade."

While such a sweet line would flatter most people, even Jennifer would've been flattered by it. However he was completely missing the truth about what's behind her sadness. He won't be laughing once he hears more of the truth.

"There's more to it! Much more!" Jennifer said, raising her voice. Travis got her tone and understood he should stay quiet.

"I'm sorry." Travis apologized. Jennifer cleared her throat, clearing her irritation as well.

Jennifer continued where she left off. "At that time, I met someone. I married him." Travis was taken aback by this revelation. However he noticed no ring on Jennifer's finger.

"Did you two…you know? I mean I haven't seen him around." Travis asked, returning to his delicate tone.

"Divorce? Yes." Jennifer answered him.

"Jennifer, I'm sorry it didn't work out." Travis said in a sympathetic tone. Jennifer smiled as he gave Jennifer a more preferable response.

"Also…..I'm a mother. I had a son with him." Travis felt his soul shatter upon hearing this news. Something he wanted to do with his love, to him, this news felt like his chance to have a loving life and family with her is crushed…or so he thinks. Travis said nothing. He gave Jennifer a blank, yet surprised stare.

Jennifer slid to Travis the picture frame on her nightstand. The picture was of a young looking boy. looking about five years old he had a bright smile on his face. He wore a bright blue shirt. He was sitting on the flexing arm of a younger, more muscular man with shorter curly brown hair. He wore black jeans and a purple shirt. He flexed his muscular left arm and the boy was sitting on it.

Travis took the frame and stared at the picture. He felt a raging fire for the man in the picture but calmed himself when he saw how happy Jennifer looks in the picture along with her child.

"He…he, he has your looks." Travis said, trying to sound positive. He smiled at Jennifer talking about her child.

"He has my looks, but he's just like his father on the inside." Jennifer sighed.

"He's a very special guy, isn't he?" Travis asked as his mood lightened up a little.

"He is. Although I haven't talked to him in some time." Jennifer said. She caught Travis up on everything that she told Octavia earlier that same day.

"So you haven't seen him since he was ten?" Travis asked in disbelief. Jennifer nodded.

"Four years. He's a teenager now. God knows how much he's changed." Jennifer said, looking off into space as she wondered. "I mean four years may not mean much in the grand scheme of things. For a kid however, that's a long time."

Travis was now very curious. "So what was so awful about your husband and son that made you feel like you had to cut them out of your life completely?"

Jennifer sighed. "It's a long story. You wanna hear it?" Travis said nothing, and nodded.

At least an hour and a half later Travis felt new emotions about Jennifer knowing the full details of her ex husband and her son. Jennifer wasn't crying but tears were welling in her eyes.

"I had no idea." Travis said with a sympathetic voice. "I'm so sorry Jennifer."

"I feel so bad now." Jennifer sniffed as she was fighting the urge to cry. "I think about them often and I dwell on my actions, not always, but often. I mean I may not love my ex anymore, but I still care about him. I still love my son, I just hope he's ok."

"I mean, you never ever tried to get back in touch with them?" Travis asked.

"I meant to once I realized the mistake I made." Jennifer answered. "Unfortunately they disappeared when I looked for them. I lost track of them and I don't know where they are."

"I'm so sorry." Travise said again softly.

"He probably hates me and I don't blame him." Jennifer sniffed again and tears started to run down her cheeks. "I just wish I could at least know what he's doing."

Back at the department store the following three days Octavia and Jennifer continued to work on their order. They made progress on the outfits but still had a long way to go before they were finished. Although having to stop to assist customers coming in to shop didn't help. Suddenly Bernard walked inside the room and interrupted the two ladies.

"Everything is looking fine. You two work so hard and it's greatly appreciated." Bernard said. His borderline smug voice was still present.

"Sure Bernard!" Octavia said in a sincere tone, although her face looked sarcastic. Jennifer very much felt the same.

"I know it's hard to work on the weekends when we're closed but it's still greatly appreciated." Bernad responded, he picked up the looks his two employees were giving him.

"Well this should help me out well in my portfolio." Jennifer sighed, trying to look on the bright side of this situation.

Bernard changed the subject. "Anyways I came back here because we have a group of young ladies outside. Customers, I think."

"Can you deal with them? We really gotta get this done." Octavia pushed.

"I tried." Bernard replied. "For some reason they insist on talking to you Jennifer."

"What for?" Jennifer grumbled as she started to make stitches on a Star Spangled lady outfit.

"They said they came on behalf of your son." Bernard said in wonder. "Not that it's any of my business. I actually had no idea you were a parent." Upon hearing about these visitors Jennifer was frozen in shock. So frozen she dropped her needle and thread. There was a tension in the air and deafening silence. Octavia understood the magnitude of this but Bernard was confused.

"Should I tell them to leave?" Bernard asked. Jennifer didn't answer. She instead stood up and marched out of the work room and headed towards the front desk. There was one older teenage girl and a younger teenage girl with brown hair and a small girl with brown hair and huge glasses on her face. Once Jennifer came into view they all focused their gaze at her. They were stunned to see her. Jennifer noticed this but couldn't understand why. This whole situation just sounded off, in a really weird way.

"Who are you?" Jennifer asked sternly. She's never seen these girls before in her life. How would they know anything about her son?

"You're Jennifer Frost?" The older blonde girl asked her.

"Who's asking?" Jennifer snapped, clearly on the defensive. The girls didn't really appreciate Jennifer's apprehensive, yet slightly hostile demeanor. The little girl placed a small piece of paper on the counter. Jennifer looked at it and it was the same photograph that was on her nightstand in her apartment. Shock, horror, and relief swelled in her heart and soul all at the same time.

The little girl spoke first. "We're all sisters. I'm Lisa, and this is Luna and Lori Loud. We're from Royal Woods, Michigan."

"We're friends with your son and ex-husband." Lori added. They're our next door neighbors.

"You…..you know them?" Jennifer gasped. "You….you know….you know my son?"

"Yes." Luna said glaring at Jennifer. "He told us your story. Not cool for you to flake on him dude." Lori and Lisa also shared the glares. Jennifer felt offended by this. It's not really supposed to be their business. The problem is it actually is their business now if Will told them everything.

Lisa adjusted her glasses. She spoke with her usual somewhat smug intelligence.

"With my skills, All I needed was your name. Once I got your appearance I needed to match your name to it, then I could enter in all the databases of the United States to find you. Hacking and knowing where to look is difficult, and possibly illegal when it comes to government information. No trouble for someone with my skills with technology."

Jennifer was amazed with Lisa's intelligence. She's way smarter than most adults.

"Look. Do you want to see your boy again?" Lori asked in an assertive tone. Jennifer paused thinking hard about what to do.

"Does he even want to see me again?" Jennifer asked. The Louds all sighed.

"He's still upset with you." Lori answered.

"However I see something he doesn't want to admit to himself." Lisa added.

"The dude still loves ya." Luna told her. "He got rough with our little bro's bullies when they made fun of you and your ex. He still thinks about you even if he doesn't talk about you."

Jennifer smiles happily for the first time in a long time. The subject of her child and old life filled her up with such sadness. This time she felt some joy knowing her son still thinks about her as she still thinks of him. For the offer at hand, she couldn't pass this up. The first time in a long time she can see her boy again. Even if he doesn't want to see her. Knowing how she's doing would be more than enough.

"Yes. My son…Will. I want to see him again….very very much." Jennifer said softly.

"Alright so listen up. We got an idea." Luna said as they all learned together to discuss a special reunion plan.

A/N That is it for this chapter. What did you guys think? Let me know in a review or a PM! Next time will be the whole story. Then we will move onto adapting episodes again. See you next time.
