A/N Welcome back! Sorry, this is not the chapter I promised. However I couldn't let October pass by without posting the Tricked episode. Unfortunately this does mean that chapter publishing will be out of order. I do have a surprise for you all at the end of the chapter. For now, enjoy!
Tricked!
It was Halloween night. Everyone was bunched inside the Louds. Everyone was getting dressed inside their costumes. Lucy was spending a lot of time outside setting up many many tall stalks of corn.
Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. Although it is one I enjoy. If you guys remember, it was the same day I changed. With Lynn's help of course. Lucy however, it's more than just a simple holiday. She goes all out every year she tries to top her previous year celebration. In this sense, she's just like Jack Skellington, if you've seen that movie.
The outside of the Louds was completely covered in decorations, the tree barely had any leaves on it. The branches were covered in hanging ghosts and fake spider webbing. The same covered the house itself. However Jack-O-Lanterns covered the front yard. Of course every family member had a chance to carve one. More fake spider webbing was on the porch and first half of the roof. On the roof inside the webbing was a black plastic spider. On top of the house was a giant hand crafted Jack-O-Lantern. A huge orange light bulb was inside to light up when it got dark.
Only three Jack-O-Lanterns are at my house. Me, dad, and Agnes all carved one. I aged out of Trick or Treating but hey, that doesn't mean all Halloween traditions are things I can't participate in. The Louds House is covered in decorations. Interestingly enough, with the exception of the corn maze, Mrs. Loud went all out on them. She's the Louds resident 'decorator.' She's very artsy like that for the Holidays.
The house's decorations paled in comparison to the huge Corn Maze Lucy built on the right side of the Loud's yard. The rows and rows of stalks were at least nine feet tall. Taller than Nicholas. Plastic skulls with red light bulb eyes were sitting on top of steaks at the front of the maze. The maze stretched around the back of the Loud's yard where the 'main attractions' would be encountered for anyone who would go inside. The entrance looked like a long corridor and a black metal archway was at the entrance in the middle top of the archway with the word, 'Beware.' connecting the two metal rods forming the arch.
Lucy had a near colony size of live bats, of course they're all clean and disease free. She was tending to them making sure they were ready to also assist in the attraction tonight. Unfortunately….
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A male, high pitched shriek came from the kitchen. The sound scared the bats and they all flew out the window to Lucy's dismay. Although she knows how to connect with and handle bats. They'll come back to her.
"I HATE HALLOWEEN!" Mr. Loud shrieked as he opened the refrigerator and saw a severed head inside. Of course it wasn't a real head. It looked real enough though. Mr. Loud. Ran away as Lucy approached the fridge and had a small smile on her face as she took the head out of the fridge. The head was a plaster mask on a hallowed shell, it had blonde hair styled like something like a noble woman from the eighteenth century. The face looked dead with a wide open mouth with a red rubber tongue hanging out of the mouth.
Or course we can't forget how easily startled Mr. Loud gets. Poor guy is still a scardy cat after all this time. Of course how can we forget, I purposely scared him many times back when I was a pain and a bully.
"I love Halloween." Lucy said in her dreary voice. She kept the head in the fridge to give it a blue/pale complexion. Lucy went to the dining room where Lisa was working on buckets of fake blood. Lynn, Lola, Lana, Lincoln, and Luna were working on more Jack-O-Lanterns, Luan was working on a big road sign to hang at the edge of the neighborhood. It was a big piece of plywood with ears of corn on it spelling the message. "Haunted Corn Maze." Leni was hanging more decorations inside the house along with Lori. Lily was just playing with the pumpkin goo and seeds from the Jack-O-Lanterns.
Will was outside the house with Liam. A large black stallion was being guided by Liam.
"This was Lucy's idea." Will said to Liam. "She wants me to be a part of her attraction tonight."
"No problem." Liam said "You just treat Chester right and he'll be nice to you right boy?" Liam asked the horse, the animal nodded and nickered in response.
"Thanks for teaching me the basics of horse riding." Will added. "Lucy was very insistent that I learn how."
Thoughts of Will, Liam and Lucy. Being at Liam's farm flooded both Will and Liam's mind as they thought about Will's riding lessons.
(Flashback)
Will was on the back of a large brown mare looking nervous and shaking. Lucy and Liam were standing side by side watching Will also feeling nervous for him.
Now just relax but don't be afraid to show her who's boss. Liam instructed. But before Will could do anything the horse started to buck around wildly to throw Will off. Will held onto the reins as best he could but was thrown off. He flew up in the air behind the horse and it kicked its hind legs, striking Will and launching him backwards fast causing him to crash into Liam's barn. Lucy and Liam both winced at what they saw.
"I'm ok." Will groaned, feeling dizzy and hurt.
(End Flashback)
"All the bruises will be worth it I hope." Will said.
"So what does Lucy have you doing?" Liam asked.
Will explained. "According to her, I'm going to be a black knight. Something akin to the Ringwraiths from King of the Rings. The only difference is I'll be in Ebony colored armor. I unfortunately haven't seen my costume yet."
"I bet you'll look very scary." Liam said, sounding excited.
"It's Lucy. I'm sure she'll be able to pull it off." Will smiled.
Lucy then came out from the front door and held a contact lens container, although it looked bigger than normal.
"Everything is going well." Lucy said. "Nice to see you and your horse here on time Liam."
"No problem Lucy." Liam replied. "What's that you got there?"
"Two horse sized contact lenses." Lucy said. She opened them up and they were piercing red like flames. These were much bigger to fit a horse's eyes. "When Will rides this horse it's eyes will glow bright red as if it's a demon horse."
Liam excitedly petted the horse's muzzle. "You're gonna be so scary boy!" Liam praised as the horse neighed happily.
"I can't believe your mom allowed a haunted corn maze!" Will said with disbelief.
"Me neither." Lucy said, her words expressing excitement while her voice is still as dreary as usual. "I've been waiting my whole life for this moment. Not to mention my past lives. My siblings are finishing preparations on the mutilated Jack-O-Lanterns and creating the fake blood."
"AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Mr. Loud screamed again. "I HATE HALLOWEEN!"
"Oh Dad must have found the severed limbs I stored in his closet." Lucy guessed. "I'll be back in a while to get you fitted into your costume."
Lucy disappeared into the house.
"I gotta get ready for the Halloween HoeDown." Liam said. "Have fun Chester!" Liam said bye to his horse and left Will and Chester to return to his farm.
Lincoln came out of his house and his eyes were shifting and he's slipping around trying not to be found. Although he slipped into a nearby bush. Only three feet away from Will.
"Lincoln, do I want to know why you're sneaking around?" Will sighed exasperatedly. Lincoln poked his head out for the bush and sighed in defeat since Will spotted him.
"Look, you trusted us with your life's story." Lincoln whispered. "You're also one of my best friends, promise not to tell anyone?" Will responded by making a zipping motion across his lips. "Me and Clyde discovered a wealthy neighborhood who gives out king size candy bars."
"King size?" Will questioned. "Not just buy a big bag of small pieces like everyone else?" Lincoln nodded in confirmation.
Lincoln whispered in a determined voice. "Me and Clyde are the only ones who know about this neighborhood and we're not gonna miss out on this opportunity. I gotta sneak around because the fewer people know about it, the more king size bars for me and Clyde!"
"Man, now I wish I hadn't aged out of trick or treating." Will sighed. Lincoln started to feel a little pity for his friend.
"We'll see about bringing you one bar." Lincoln sighed with a smile. Will smiled back to Lincoln, non verbally telling him 'thank you.' Lincoln resumed his sneaking around to go meet up with Clyde.
Will lead the horse to the back of the house in the wide open area of the Corn Maze. Once the horse was secure in his place. Will petted Chester's muzzle that he was happy to feel.
"You're a good horse." Will said. "I'll be back in a while so Lucy can go over our role. I hope you're excited." Chester whinnied in response.
Hours later the Corn Maze was finished being set up and the rest of the Loud siblings were wearing their costumes. The younger siblings were going trick or treating with Mr. Loud while everyone else was getting ready to go play their parts in Lucy's maze. Will was at his home finishing up the leafy salad Agnes made for dinner.
Dad usually likes to hand out candy on Halloween. This year however, is the first year he's celebrating with his new lady. They're going to go celebrate together at Liam's farm. You know his 'Halloween Hoedown?'
Will looked out the window and saw that it's almost sundown. Once he's finished eating Will has to go to the Louds.
Nicholas and Agnes came out of Nicholas's bedroom. They were dressed in costume, Nicholas was wearing only neon green and purple blended trunk, pants. The kind seen on professional wrestlers. He held a large white cloth bag over his shoulder. He had no shirt on so his very plump and muscular body was exposed. Agnes was dressed in seventeenth century noblewoman's clothing. Her hair was done in a style that matched the time period. Brown dress with white puffy sleeves.
There's that big green snake El Diablo in dad's big bag. Lana said dad could borrow him to go with his costume tonight.
"I see you're dressed as your favorite wrestler dad." Will said. "What are you agnes?"
"I am the insane countess Erzabet Bathory." Agnes answered with a sinister voice. She then gave an evil laugh that didn't intimidate Will or Nicholas. Agnes cleared her throat to spare her embarrassment.
I actually know who that is. A Castlevania villain was based on her.
Nicholas looked at Will and gave him a stern look and spoke in a warning tone.
"We're going to be out all night. Remember, if you're fighting again you are grounded for the rest of the school year!"
Ever since I fought for Lincoln and Clyde that one Halloween. I was given this warning every year ever since.
"Even if it's to stand up for them?" Will questioned.
"IF you fight AT ALL! YOU'RE GROUNDED!" Nicholas repeated in a more assertive voice.
"Fine." Will sighed. Agnes also gave Will a warning look. A Look that tells Will that she's on his father's side. Nicholas's face instantly turned friendly.
"So have fun with Lucy's corn maze." Nicholas said as the two walked out of the house. Will followed shortly as he watched them go to the car. Then they heard a loud shriek that caused the three to jump in surprise.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I HATE HALLOWEEN!" It was obviously the voice of Mr. Loud.
"Wonder what Lucy spooked him with this time." Nicholas questioned. Will continued on his way to the Louds as Nicholas and Agnes got into Nicholas's truck.
He knocked on the door and Luan answered it. She let Will inside and he walked upstairs towards Lincoln's room. On the way he peered into Lisa and Lily's room Lisa was staring out the window looking excited. She measured the Sun's position to the sky towards the ground with a protractor.
"EEEEH! Seven minutes till sunset!" Lisa squealed, She's wearing a part of her costume, which is a kangaroo hood. She jumped into the other half of her costume which is the rest of the kangaroo. The bottom half is mechanical, it allows Lisa to hop into the hallway and greet Will.
"Good evening William. Ready to participate in Lucy's maze of Zea Mays? Commonly known as a corn maze?"
"Uh yeah." Will said, shaking his head at Lucy's big words.
"Siblings Assemble!" Lisa called. Will giggled hearing Lisa say that.
What? Not Avengers?
"It is almost time for the yearly ritual of Deception versus Confection!" Lisa announced. "Street name, trick or treating!" The rest of the younger Louds walked out of their rooms. Lola and Lana looked adorable, with Lana dressed as Abraham Lincoln and Lola dressed as the statue of Liberty. Lana had a black suit and tie and oversized top hat, the beard was scribbled on her chin with a makeup pen. Lola had the green gown and crown of the statue on, in her right arm she held a book in place of the tablet, and her other hand was the torch.
"Four scores and seven pieces of candy ago!" Lana said.
"Give me your tired, your poor, your delicious treats, yearning to be in my tummy!" Lola added.
Will giggled at how cute they were acting. Lisa put her finger to her chin and observed the twins.
"Very patriotic." Lisa gave them. "But not efficient when it comes to candy collecting."
"Oh yeah?" Lola scoffed. "We're also a Mermaid and a Pirate!" The twins ripped off their outfits and Will was shocked to see that the twins had completely different costumes underneath. Lana had a dirty leather jacket with a hook hand and peg leg and a dirty, torn, white shirt. Her other foot had a brown boot on. Lana's fake beard was gone somehow and she was wearing an eyepatch and black captain's hat.
Lola had a mermaid's tail on her legs and a fake starfish in her hair, and a clamshell bra.
"Also we;re salt and pepper shakers." Lana quickly added. They tore off their costumes and underneath they had both worn one white and black suit. Lana was the pepper, her suit had a P on it, Lola was the salt, her suit had the S on it. Their heads were shaker hats.
"How do you two fit so many costumes and not switch to them so seamlessly?" Will questioned the twins. The twins giggled in response.
"I suppose you could call it 'Twin Magic'" Lola answered.
"I could explain it to you, but it would be too complicated for you." Lisa said in a rather condescending manner. Will just rolled his eyes in response.
"The point is, with these three outfits. We can hit each house three times!" Lola explained.
"Three times the candy!" Lana cheered.
"Yes, I am familiar with basic multiplication." Lisa replied, rolling her eyes. "Your strategy is cute, but mine is far superior!"
"Going as a kangaroo?" Lana scoffed. "I doubt it." Lana waved her hand dismissively.
Lisa quickly corrected. "Kangaroo, plus, baby roo!" Lisa reached into her costume's kangaroo pouch and took out Lily, she's in her own baby sized kangaroo outfit. Will and the twins cooed at how cute Lily looks.
Will figured out Lisa's plan. "Hence the cuteness of Lilly will cause the people to hand over much more candy than they usually would."
"Precisely William." Lisa smiled at Will's sharpness. "In addition, Lily only has one tooth so I don't have to share!" Lisa covered Lily's ears so Lily wouldn't have to hear Lisa's idea.
Gee, now I'm starting to feel a little bad for not having younger siblings when I was their age.
Lola walked to Lincoln's room and pounded on his door hard.
"Lincoln! Clyde! Get your butts out here!" Lola called in an angry voice. The door opened and Lincoln and Clyde stepped out wearing bright blue suits and ties. Clyde was holding a British flag in his left hand. Everyone, including Will, was surprised at how they looked.
Woah, this is a sight to behold. I've never seen Clyde wear a suit like this. Lincoln, however, I see him wear that suit when he's trying to convince people to do something, or give him something.
"I thought you two were going as Ace Savvy and One Eyed Jack?" Lola questioned.
"Like you two do every year?" Lana also questioned. Lincoln and Clyde shifted glances as Lincoln came up with an excuse.
"Uhhhh, We are!" Lincoln answered nervously. "We're Ace and Jack undercover! Trying to crack the case of the missing crumpets!" Lincoln put his arm around Clyde's back and the two smiled suspiciously at all the faces looking at them.
How funny, I know the truth of this.
Will quickly changed the subject. "Lincoln, Lucy said you have my costume."
"Yes!" Lincoln dashed back inside and took out a heavy looking suit of black armor. An evil looking helmet with an iron mesh over the big wide hole in the center The mesh was painted black. The top of the helmet had a large gold plated set of three horns. Around the neck of the torso were two purple ribbons flowing from the back.
Lisa inspected the costume closely.
"Will you be comfortable in this?" She asked.
"I think I'll be ok." Will answered. Will took the suit of armor as Lincoln went back into his room and took out a thin, long sword. The blade looked ancient, but it also looked dark and crusted with fake blood.
Will put the helmet on and pushed a hidden button on the side. Inside the iron mesh two built in lights flashed on, glowing a bright evil red. The iron mesh hid Will's face and looked as if the inside of the helmet was nothing but pure darkness. All those watching looked in awe at Will's look, even though he doesn't have the whole costume on.
"You'll do fine in a corn maze." Lisa admitted.
"Alright! Let's get some candy!" Lana declared. "Has anyone seen dad?" Everyone went silent to listen for Mr. Loud's whereabouts. They heard quiet crying and shivering coming from the bathroom.
"Uhhhhh!" Lola groaned in annoyance. The group all walked to the bathroom and Lola opened the shower curtain and found Mr. Loud cowering inside the bathtub.
Let's go father, chop chop! Lisa ordered. She held out her empty trick or treat bag. These candy bags won't fill themselves! Although I am working on a prototype that can do just that.
"Sorry kids." Mr. Loud objected. "I can't go, I got the…..uh flu. Or the plague, or a charlie horse!" He saw Will in his helmet and screamed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Lisa motioned for Will to leave and he walked out of the room.
Will changed into his costume completely. His helmet was under his arm. He stood out in the living room with the other Louds who were also participating in the corn maze. Mrs. Loud whistles at Will's appearance.
"If you kept the helmet off. You'd get Lola to love you like before." Mrs. Loud teased.
"Hahaha." Will sarcastically laughed.
I just got her off me, I don't want her falling for my costumes again.
It was time for the younger Louds to start trick or treating. Lisa with Lilly, the twins, along with Lincoln and Clyde marched out the front door, pumping their fists chanting. "CANDY! CANDY!" Mr. Loud was shaking behind the kids as he had to go with them. Once Lincoln and Clyde made it to the end of the walkway they fistbumped and went the opposite direction.
Enjoy your king size bars boys.
Lucy emerged from the dining room in her costume. Completely cloaked and the hood of the cloak shrouding her face in darkness.
"The kids are coming out now!" Luna called as she looked out the window to see other children of the neighborhood going about to get candy.
"It is time to begin. Everyone put on your scary faces." Lucy declared. Lucy was the first to step out. She took out a remote control and pushed a button on it and lights installed in the front lawn shined on the entrance of Lucy's maze as well as all the welcoming signs. Lucy walked out with a megaphone and called with it. Ok everyone! Places!
Mrs. Loud stepped out first she had tears in her clothes and fake blood stains on her clothes as well as her face. She dragged her right leg as if it was broken. She was groaning with her arms outstretched like a zombie.
Mrs. Loud is supposed to be a zombie, Lucy tried to cover her skin in sickly pale makeup but Mrs. Loud kept refusing.
Lynn dashed out the door wearing a blue jumpsuit, but wearing a Jason Vorhees hockey mask.
Lucy inspected Mrs. Loud's outfit. "You look good Mom, but something's missing. You must lose a limb." Lucy then took out a chainsaw and started it up. Mrs. Loud freaked out but Lucy handed the chainsaw to Lynn as she dashed by Lucy and entered the maze. Mrs. Loud calmed down when she realized the chainsaw wasn't for her.
Lynn is essentially a combination of Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, and Leatherface. Funny all that's missing is Freddy Krueger.
Lucy then pulled Mrs. Loud's sleeve over her left arm as if it's severed off. Lucy splashed some fake blood on her sleeve and Mrs. Loud felt proud of her daughter's creativity.
"You're a pro sweetie, I should've let you do this years ago." Mrs. Loud praised.
"It's ok Mom." Lucy said, still sounding dreary as usual. "I'm just glad to finally get my chance. I'm so happy I can't contain myself". Will chuckled, Lucy said she's excited but her expressionless face doesn't seem to convey this.
Trust me, she's excited.
Mrs. Loud ran to her place into the corn maze. Lori walked out in a beautiful red and black dress that seemed to add a dark seductiveness to her figure. It was collard and the sleeves were long. In her mouth she wore vampire teeth. It's obvious that she's a lady vampire.
"I literally want to suck your blood." She snickered. In a manner that resembled Dracula of old. Lucy inspected Lori closely.
"Hmmmm." Missing something. She called for her pet bat Fangs to land on her shoulder. Lori shrieked at him landing on her. "If you want to make it more authentic he could bite your neck."
"NO!" Lori cried, she instantly calmed down. "I mean this is fine." Rolling her eyes Lori walked inside the corn maze.
Luan walked out in dark goggles and a scientist's, white lab coat. On her hand was her ventriloquist dummy, Mr. Coconuts. Painted green and dressed up like Frankenstien.
"Hold on Luan, your monster needs more stitches." Lucy said, she took out a black marker and scribbled scar marks on Mr. Coconut's head.
"That's sew much better!" Luan joked. "Hahaha! Get it?"
"No puns in the maze." Lucy ordered. Luan groaned and walked inside the maze.
Leni then struggled to walk out the door. She was dressed in a blue noblewoman's dress, much similar to Agnes's. Her character is supposed to be headless, so she tucked her head in the dress, looking as if she really does have no head. Will jumped to her and took Leni's hand.
"Here Leni, let me help you." Will offered. Leni couldn't see it, but Will started to blush deeply once he took her hand.
"Thanks whoever you are!" Leni accepted Will's hand. He simply rolled his eyes at Leni's 'blonde' moment, and guided her out the door towards Lucy. Leni popped her head out of her dress.
"Looks good Leni, but don't forget this." Lucy said, taking the same fake severed head that she was cooling in the refrigerator. Leni gasped at the ghastly sight of the prop. Then she looked confused.
"Wait, why do I have to look so pale?" She asked.
"You've just been decapitated." Lucy explained.
Leni scoffed and crossed her arms. "Well, I'd still put on some blush." Once Leni realized Will was holding her hand she smiled at him.
"Oh you're the gentleman who helped me out!" Leni smiled. "Thank you Will." Will only chuckled and blushed in response.
The Loud's pet hamster Geo crawled up to Lucy, rolling in his hamster ball. Lucy put the severed head on Geo's ball and Leni tucked her head into her dress and walked into the maze with Geo behind her.
"Fascinating means to make Leni's severed head seem alive." Will praised.
Luna rolled out a small pipe organ and set out the sheet music and her seat. It's obvious she's in charge of the haunting music of the maze. Luna was in a black suit decorated in a skeleton. The image ends at the neck of the suit. Luna's face was painted white to resemble the skull.
"Ready to rock! Mistress of the Dark!" Luna called.
"You're looking fine, Will." Lucy praised. "Let's go to your horse." Will and Lucy entered the maze and maneuvered around the twists and turns of the maze and found Chester waiting for Will.
"Hey boy!" Will said. Chester knickered, greeting Will, he went over to pet his muzzle. Will climbed on and put the helmet on. His evil, borderline demonic looking knight was complete.
"Chester here, this will make you look scary too." Lucy asked the horse. Chester lowered himself and Lucy opened a large container holding large red contact lenses. She placed them on Chester's eyes and now the horse looks as if he's possessed by a demon.
"You remember your act right?" Lucy asked.
"Of course!" Will answered, he repeated the instructions. Hide in the ears of corn, when someone comes out, have Chester whinny and buck his hooves, and I chase them to the next section of the maze swinging my sword at them like a maniac.
"Way to go." Lucy praised. "I hope it will be as fun for you as it will be for me. Thank you so much for being a part of this Will." Lucy turned around and returned to the entrance of the maze, leaving Chester and Will alone in their square section of the maze.
"Ok buddy let's hide." Chester neighed and Will grabbed the reins and the two pushed some of the corn plants aside and hid themselves inside the plants until someone where to arrive.
Luna started playing the organ in a creepy melody. Lucy spoke using her megaphone again.
"Ok guys. The Loud family haunted Corn Maze is officially open! Let's bring on the screams, people!" Lucy finished her announcement to the neighborhood and put on her Grim Reaper hood and toy scythe and hid at the entrance of the maze.
Man, I'm a part of a Halloween attraction! I am actually really excited as Lucy is about this!
Time passed, and no one passed by…in fact even more time passed, still no one passed by. Even more time passed and still no one passed by. Will's head started to feel heavy as if the boredom was causing him to doze off. He snapped himself back to focus.
"I don't get it! Lucy worked really hard on the scariness of this!" Will said to himself. "Where is everyone?" Chester nickered in response, communicating that he doesn't know. "I lost track of time, God knows how long I've been sitting here. I'm gonna take a quick look, I'll be back quickly Chester!" Will climbed off Chester's back and started to push his way through the maze. Oddly enough most of the other Louds were missing from their places from the maze. However he couldn't have imagined what awaited him as he got closer to the entrance.
"STOP! STOP IT! NO!"
Will froze when he heard screams and pleas and the voices of many children crying. Will moved quickly because now he has an idea what the problem is.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The cackling sound of two brutish male voices. Will heard lots of crushing and crashing of something.
I can't believe it. Looks like I gotta repeat what happened two years ago!
Once Will made it to the entrance Lucy was curled up at the entrance looking as sad as an emotionless face can convey. Mr. Loud was lying unconscious in a wagon. Lola, Lana, Lily, and Lisa were crying. Their bags of candy were missing.
Many Jack-O-Lanterns were smashed and destroyed. The trees were covered in toilet paper. Luna, Luan, Mrs. Loud, and Lori, were consoling the younger Louds for whatever happened to them. Will approached Lucy. The other older Louds were still inside the maze unaware what just happened.
I can't imagine it'll be long until the rest of the Louds find out about this. Whatever it is that took place!
"I heard the noises." Will asked in a soft, sympathetic voice to the younger louds. "What happened?"
"Two big stinkers pushed us down and tore our bags of candy from our hands!" Lola cried.
"They're also doing all the vandalism you see here!" Lisa added.
Lucy added. "Those creeps are going down the neighborhood and doing the same to other kids too! As well as vandalizing the other homes."
Will took a look at the ruining of Lucy's Celebration, the vandalism, and how hurt the younger Louds were. More children ran down the north of the street crying, also with their bags stolen. This caused Will's anger to boil.
Here we go, it's time to teach those jerks a lesson!
Will cracked his knuckles and started to take off his armor. Unfortunately Will remembered what awaits him if he's caught fighting again, even if it is justified.
I can't fight them. If I do I'm grounded.
Will moved to the middle of the road and looked in the directions of the screaming kids. He saw the two culprits. They were really tall and really overweight teenagers. One wore dirty blue jeans and a dirty green shirt, the other one had equally dirty clothes only he wore a white shirt, under a brown coat. One had a mohawk haircut the other had his black hair covering his eyes like Lucy's Over their faces they wore cracked pale, baby masks, actually making them look scary. Will kept looking at the two thieves and the Louds and the children they were hurting.
If I fight them I'm grounded for the school year, but look at this mess! I can't just stand here and do nothing!
Will's dilemma was weighing heavily on his head. He kept shifting his gaze to the Louds and the bullies. This went on for several minutes. Unfortunately Will's inaction caused the bullies to finish up their rampage. They left the neighborhood cackling. Will hung his head in shame and walked over to the Louds and sat on the porch next to Mrs. Loud and Lola. A single tear formed in his eye and he sat his head in his hands.
Coward! That's what I am! This decision would be so much easier if I were still my old self. Now though, I'm soft.
About forty five minutes later, Lincoln and Clyde returned to the neighborhood. The rest of the Louds came from the maze and learned what happened. Will was working to get the toilet paper from the trees of the Louds yard and his own. Lucy and Luan were working to take down the entrance to the maze. There's no point in doing it now. Will noticed something different about Lincoln and Clyde. Their outfits are completely different.
Lincoln and Clyde are out of their suits and in their Ace Savvy and One Eyed Jack costumes. I guess the door to door religious look was just a disguise for them.
Lincoln asked. "Guys! What happened? Why is there litter everywhere? Where are all the trick or treaters? Lucy, why are you taking down the corn maze?"
"Nobody showed up." Lucy answered. "All my work for nothing. Not a single scream….sigh."
"Nobody? Why?" Clyde asked. Lola, Lisa, and Lana filled in Lincoln and Clyde about everything that happened, even describing the culprit's appearance and behavior. Lincoln and Clyde's eyes widened in shock. More so than anyone else. Will raised an eyebrow, this look was oddly suspicious.
They know something, don't they?
Lisa sighed as she made a declaration.
"All Hallow's Eve, street name. Halloween is clearly ruined." Everyone except Will walked inside the house with their heads handing in sadness. Lincoln and Clyde were whispering to each other looking stunned and guilty. Will approached them with a stern face but a calm voice.
"What are you two whispering about?" Will asked them both. They jumped in shock and looked at Will. They sighed and Lincoln was the first to confess. "And where's your king sized candy bars?"
Clyde explained. "We had to hide our loot for now so we buried it somewhere like pirate treasure."
"This is all our fault." Lincoln said sadly.
"We bumped into those jerks earlier today." Clyde explained. "They scared us into answering them about where the best neighborhood to get candy is."
"I just blurted out my own neighborhood without thinking." Lincoln finished. Will sighed.
After I screwed up. I can't be hard on them, I mean, this is their fault, but it's not really at the same time. You know what I mean?
"That's messed up." Will sighed. "But I guess it means nothing if they were gonna beat you up if you didn't speak."
"What about you?" Lincoln said, turning the questioning onto Will. "We designated you as our bodyguard! Why didn't you beat them up like you did when you stopped being a bully?" Will looked dumbfounded at that statement.
Bodyguard? Me? I don't know if I should feel honored or burdened.
"Because if I do my dad will seriously ground me!" Will answered. "Even if the fighting is justified, I'll still get punished."
Lincoln and Clyde sighed. The three all hung their heads in regret.
"I guess it doesn't matter who messed up." Clyde said. Lincoln put on a determined face.
"What matters now is how we fix this!" Lincoln said. "It's too late to get everyone back to the maze, and we can't unsmash the Jack-O-Lanterns. We can try to get everyone's candy back."
"I'm afraid I can't go with you guys." Will said. "I can't fight them, and I'm gonna go around the neighborhood and help clean up the vandalism. I may not be able to beat those guys up, but I can make it up to the neighbors by cleaning up their mess."
"I wish you could." Clyde said in a nervous voice. "Those guys are huge and can turn us into human pretzels. They can then dip us into sauces of their choosing."
"We have no choice!" Lincoln said. "We led those jerks right here and now we gotta fix this." The two ran back inside the house and came back out in their normal clothes. They ran back up the sidewalk in the direction the bullies came from. Will smiled at the two as they disappeared into the distance.
I gotta admit, those two have grown since we first met. They would just settle for the loss of candy and cry. Now those two are taking a stand against two huge oafs, that, well….Clyde wasn't wrong, they're huge and can easily break them in half. However the fact they know this and do it anyway, shows how brave they've become. No, I don't think they're being stupid.
Will started to move from house to house clearing the toilet paper and smashed up pumpkins. This kind gesture led to some residents thanking him, it even caught the attention of Luan and Lynn, who came out with a long stick of a detached broom, and trash can to assist him. Lynn had her mask off but still wore her costume, Luna didn't change at all.
"Man this Halloween was a total bummer." Luna sighed as she scooped up a smashed pumpkin and put it into the trash can. Lynn was on Will's shoulders using the stick to get some toilet paper out of tree branches. After successfully getting some out of the tree Lynn got off of Will's shoulders as they stuffed it into the trash can.
"I'll never be able to live with myself." Will sighed.
"If I had known about those guys, I'd smash their faces!" Lynn growled. Will sighed again reminding him that he could've done the same if he wasn't under the threat of punishment. Unfortunately the trash can was full.
Will called to Lynn and Luna. "I'm gonna take this to the dumpster, be right back!" Will separated from them and went to the nearby dumpster near Flip's. Will paused as he thought back to the night he and Lynn fought the other thieves and got back Lincoln and Clyde's candy.
It may have been two years ago, but it was an important day for my change. I kind of feel nostalgic for it, if that's the right word.
Will turned the corner into the same alley he fought in and dumped the can into the dumpster. Unfortunately as he did screams of disgust filled the inside of the dumpster. Will looked inside and found Lincoln and Clyde inside, tied up into pretzels. It didn't take a genius to know what happened and why they were in there.
"They got you didn't they?" Will asked as he helped Clyde and Lincoln out of the dumpster.
"Yeah." Lincoln groaned.
"I guess garbage was their dipping sauce of choice." Clyde added. "We were so close, but the huge burlap bag they used to hold everyone's candy was too big to get out of their treehouse hideout and the noise alerted them to us and…. Well, you see what happened."
"It hurt, but Lynn's done way worse to me." Lincoln said dismissing the beating he and Clyde took.
"They told us to let everyone know they want milk chocolate next year." Clyde said.
"We can't let them come back!" Lincoln exclaimed. "They'll ruin everyone's Halloween forever!"
Clyde sighed. "I gotta do my deep breathing, otherwise I'll get a nosebleed." Hearing that gave Lincoln an idea.
"That's it! Clyde, remember what they said when we first saw them?" The two smiled at each other as they figured something out.
"What are you two talking about?" Will asked.
Lincoln explained. "Aside from seeing Lori, when Clyde gets scared. He may get a nosebleed. That's what happened when he saw those two guys. One got sick when he saw the blood, the other one got sick when his friend was getting sick."
Clyde chimed in. "We can use that against them, but how?"
"I know just the person to call!" Lincoln smirked as he took out his phone and called Lucy. "Lucy, how would you like to have your haunted maze after all? Get it set up and have everyone take their places. We're gonna get our revenge on those two who ruined Halloween for everyone." Lincoln hung up his phone and smiled at Will.
"Get back into your knight costume and get ready for your act." Lincoln said to him.
"Yes sir." Will said, smiling at him Will turned and ran back to the Louds.
Cleaver plan. Hope it works!
Will returned to the Louds and Lucy was getting everyone into place. In fact she even managed to find a place for the younger Louds who wanted to dish out some retribution to the bullies.
Glad you're back Will. Lucy greeted. I assume you know what we're doing? Will nodded in response. I put your costume back near Chester, put it on and get ready for your cue. Will darted back towards his place inside the maze. He found Lisa and Lily in their Kangaroo costume as Lisa got some Alka Seltzer tablets ready.
Ahh, they're going to act like they're Kangaroos, with Rabies!
Will passed by the twins, Lana was laying dead inside one of Lucy's coffins and Lola was hung safely by a rope, looking suspended in the air slumped over looking dead. He eventually returned to Chester standing next to his armor and helmet.
"Hey boy, ready to scare those morons who ruined this holiday?" Will said to the horse as he petted his muzzle. Chester neighed in response.
Eventually Will heard rustling in the corn stalks as the lights suddenly went out, the organ Luna was going to play was starting to sound off a spooky key as she started to sing. Will was sitting on top of Chester, once again wearing his black knight costume.
Looks like Lincoln and Clyde got those two into the maze. It's showtime!
Will waited, until the bullies got to his area. Will drew his sword out as he heard Luna's voice carry over the maze.
"When darkness falls on the house of Loud"
"Around every turn new terror abounds"
"You don't want to lose your head"
"Ha-Ha-Ha!"
The bullies screamed and took off running into the passages in the maze. They ran into Luan who threw the ancient electrical switches to bring Frankenstien Mr. Coconuts to life. The bullies screamed and ran in a different direction.
"You can run but you can't hide"
"They know that you test better alive"
"I don't think that they've been fed"
"In a long, long time"
The brutes bumped into Lisa and Lily in their kangaroo costumes. Thanks to the Alka Seltzer they were foaming at the mouth and hopping towards the bullies who took off running.
"Every corner, every door"
"Watch out, they ain't herbivores"
"Ghastly ghouls out for blood"
"Sorry bud"
"You got tricked, you got tricked"
"You got punked and pranked with a spooky twist"
"Before you wet your pants better get out quick"
"Tricked, tricked, tricked"
"You got tricked"
The guys ran into a corner where they bumped into the vampire Lori looking like she's feasting on the blood of Mrs. Loud. Lori turned her head at the two and hissed angrily that her meal was disturbed. Mrs. Loud groans in agony, as if she's being feasted on while she's still alive. Lynn then chased after them with a chainsaw, causing the guys to scream and run for their lives.
"Beware of fangs and bloody fur"
"A Loud House chainsaw massacre"
"There's no chance that you'll get out"
Lynn chased the teenagers towards Lola and Lana, Lola stayed lying still, Lana was too. Once the guys accidentally ran close to her she jumped to life and hissed at the bullies they tried to run away but from the way they came Leni in her headless dress approached them, and the Hamster Geo still holding the severed head on his Hamster ball rolled towards the bullies.
"Ghosts writing your eulogy"
"Heads are rolling literally"
"So who needs their mommy now?"
The bullies charged through the stalks of corn and finally made it to Will's section. Chester snorted angrily at the bullies and bucked his front hooves angrily. The bullies screamed in terror at the horse's glowing red eyes as well as his rider's piercing red eyes in the darkness of his helmet. They swerved out of the way to not get stomped by the horse as Will swung his sword at the bullies as they tried to escape. Will's sword slashed the bullie's shirts tearing them, but didn't harm them. The bullies ran for their lives as they found the correct path to get out of the maze.
"Spilling guts on the floor"
"Clean up on Aisle 4"
"Why you running off so soon?"
"Sorry dude"
"You got tricked, you got tricked"
"You got punked and pranked with a spooky twist"
"Before you wet your pants better get out quick"
"Tricked, tricked, tricked"
"You got tricked!"
At the entrance was Lucy in her grim reaper hood blocking the bullies exit. She spoke a curse upon them in a haunting voice.
"The crimes you have committed this night shant go unpunished! You reap what you sow!" Lucy swung her scythe and the bullies ducked. The scythe cut a rope holding a bucket above the bullie's heads, the bucket poured out blood and covered them in it.
"BLOOD! I'M GONNA PUKE!" One of the teenagers cried. He held his stomach as he started to immediately feel uneasy.
"You're gonna puke! I'm gonna puke!" His counterpart cried as they bolted out of the maze screaming in horror. "We will never come back to this neighborhood ever again!"
Luna finished up her song as the rest of the Louds, and Will walked out of the maze cheering in celebration for getting back at those thuggish teens.
"I think we taught those stinkers a lesson!" Lincoln said happily.
Yeah one time some jerks got what they deserved without me beating on them. I suppose it's true, there are other effective ways to stand up for yourself without violence.
"No, thank you for bringing them here." Lucy said. "You totally made my Halloween. I've never been happier." As usual, Lucy expresses her happiness without showing it on her face.
"Hopefully next year you'll have more visitors to your maze than just two." Lincoln said enthusiastically.
"Looks like we won't have to wait next year!" Mrs. Loud announced as she pointed to a huge mob of children waiting to have a turn at the maze. They were all smiling and back in their costumes.
Will observed. "I suppose the commotion with the bullies attracted attention."
"What about trick or treating?" Lola asked.
"It's a little too late for that now." Lisa sighed. Clyde was pulling on the giant bag that the bullies stole, the bag that collectively held everyone's candy.
Clyde examined the bag closely. "It does look like those jerks ate about seventy five percent of what they took. "I don't think there's enough to give to everyone to make up for what was stolen." Lincoln and Clyde got big smiles on their faces as they were hit with an idea.
"We'll be back!" Lincoln called as they took off in a big hurry. Lucy took out her megaphone and announced it to her actors.
"Places everyone!" The Louds and Will returned inside the maze to resume their acts to scare all who venture inside.
This Halloween was a big mess at first, but thanks to my friend's quick thinking we managed to make it very fun. Lincoln and Clyde generously gave away their collection of king sized candy bars to all the kids who had their candy stolen. I didn't get grounded, and Lucy's maze was a mega hit with the kids. I sure had fun scaring all who came around me. I didn't get a candy bar, but hey, as they say, it's better to give than receive.
A little girl and a little boy walked towards Will's section of the maze. Chester bucked his front hooves and nighed wildly. Will did have his sword out but didn't swing it at them. The kids screamed in terror but once Chester lowered his hooves Will handed them both a candy bar. The kid's terror instantly changed to happiness as they ran out of the corn maze laughing happily.
