The Show Must Go On
Dan was awoken in the morning by Marucho calling him. "Hello?" Dan said half asleep. "Hey Dan. Listen I have something really important to show you and Shun." Marucho said. "Uh sure? But can it wait? Its…" Dan said pausing to look at his alarm. "It's 8:37 am" Dan continued. "Yeah? It's a perfectly reasonable time to assume someone is awake. Listen I need to show you and Shun something Keith and I have been developing." Marucho finished. "Ugh fine, I'll be there in an hour give or take." Dan said. "Shun and I will be there and waiting" Marucho said ending the call. "8:37 am is a perfectly good time for someone to be awake Dran." Drago said. "You sleep later than I do, Drago." Dan said slightly annoyed.
Dan got up and got changed into his usual clothes.
Dan Arrived at 9:30. He knocked on Marucho's front door and Kato opened for him and led him down the endless corridors of his house until he came to Marucho's engineering Lab. "Hey Dan. No Mira this time?" he teased. "Nahh, didn't know you wanted to see her." He tried to tease back. "Very funny. Now that you and Shun are here I have to show you two something." Marucho explained. "What is it, Marucho?" Shun asked. "Remember what I showed you guys a few months ago with the rest of the resisitence before Milene and Shadow attacked us?" Marucho asked. "Yeah, what was that thing called? The Bakugan interwebs or something?" Dan said trying to remember. "Interspace." Marucho corrected him. "But anyway. When I was looking through code for the interspace something interesting came through." Marucho explained, he opened his computer to show them. Dan and Shun looked at the lines of code with absolutely no clue what it was about. "Here." He said highlighting a line "What does it mean Marucho?" Shun asked. "This means someone built a back door into the interspace and I believe could have corrupted it during the battle between Mira and Kieth against Shadow and Mileen." He explained. "Well is it safe for us to enter?" Shun asked. "Yes I believe so? Why?" Marucho asked. "Do you think these intruders could still be there now?" Shun asked. "Hold on you guys. What if these guys that are getting into the interspace are the same people Mira and Keith were talking about in the video their dad showed them before he died?" Dan said. Both Shun and Marucho looked at him. "Dan, the next time you try and tell us one of your theories, please give us time to put on our tinfoil hats before you say it." Marucho said without blinking. "So is that it?" Shun asked. "Yeah, that's it for now." Marucho explained. With that Shun and Dan left Marucho to keep investigating.
As Shun and Dan were leaving Shun whispered to Dan "I think you may be onto something with your theory there. If the people in the video Mira and Keith saw had powerful enough technology for Vestle technology to pick it up- I think that they would be able to find the interspace, Maybe asking Mira and Kieth more about what they saw could help a lot."
Mira had been up all night deciding how to confront Runo about her actions recently. She didn't hear Keith open the door or Dan come in and greet him or Gus. Mira was lost in thought looking out the window at the long hills and all the trees. "Hey gorgeous" she heard a whisper coming from her right ear. She jumped and fell backwards with Dan catching the chair. "W- When did you get here?" She asked. "You didn't hear? I got here like 2 minutes ago" Dan said. "I'm sorry, I've just been thinking about something" She said hugging Dan. "Something you want to talk to me about?" he asked. "I'm not sure, just yet, I'm not even sure I should be doing it." She said holding him tighter. "Well im here if you need me, But we do need to talk." Dan said. "What about Mira said letting Dan go and sit on her bed. Keith walked in "You two ready to talk?" Keith asked. Both Dan and Mira nodded. "So what did you want to talk about Dan?" Mira asked. "Its about the video your father saw before he died." Dan explained. Hearing this made Mira uncomfortable. "Excuse me." Mira said getting up and leaving the room. "What's wrong with her?" Dan asked. "She doesn't like talking about him, let the past be the past, I believe they say on earth." Keith said "Now what do you want to know?" Kieth asked. "You said he showed you a battle right? What was their technology like?" Dan asked. "It was powerful, they had battle gear like Helios and battle ships that looked stronger than anything that Vestle had, their bakugan looked as though they were made for war." Keith explained. Dan's phone went off again. Dan looked down to see who it was "Its Marucho." Dan said. "Sorry, let me answer this." Dan said. "Hello?" Dan said. "Dan, you need to get here now! Its and emergency!" Marucho said. Dan instantly hung up and told Keith he needed to go. "Does he need help?" Keith asked. "I'm not sure to be honest. Maybe come with me just to be sure" Dan said "If we have trouble Id feel a lot better with Helios by my side." Drago said "I feel the same" Dan said rushing down stairs. "Helios?! We need you!" Keith yelled but got no response. "Helios?!" Keith yelled again. Mira and Gus came running down to see what all the commotion was about. "What's going on?" Gus asked Keith. Dan looked back at Keith at the door "GO. I'll catch up." Keith yelled to Dan. Dan wasted no time running out the door to get to his friend. "Where's Helios? Theres an emergency by Marucho." Keith asked in a rush. "He's on the ship training, like he usually does now adays, but if its an emergency take Vulcan" Gus said giving Keith his Bakugan. "Take Wilba as well" Mira said rushing to the other room where Wilba was. She came running back and gave him her bakugan as well. " Ill be back soon." Keith said running out to catch up to Dan
They both arrived to Marucho's house as soon as they could. They both ran in past Kato. When they arrived at his station Marucho was there waiting for them. "What's going on? Dan asked. "You have to see this, both of you." Marucho said stepping into the teleporter. When they arrived Dan and Keith looked around to see Shun was there already standing with someone else. "Who are you?" Shun asked. "My name is Ren Krawler, Ive been sent to by Nethia to find the Battle Brawlers." Ren explained. "You found them" Keith said getting ready to grab one of the bakugan he had. "My Planet needs your help. We're being invaded." Ren said looking desperate.
