This is a one-shot that comes before the one called "Declarations."
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "You have to tell her. It wouldn't be right not to."
Jacoba shook her head and sighed. She was currently sitting in the HUB, for once using the area to work on upgrades of her own instead of hiding behind some of the shelves for some privacy. Unfortunately, even through she had been in there before anyone else had even shown up, she'd been interrupted by two loud voices coming towards her.
"Dude, I really don't know what to do!"
"Well, maybe if you would actually talk to someone and tell them what is going on with you, you would."
"Oi!" Jacoba turned around and glared at the two men who had just stormed into the HUB. "Some people do like to work in peace, you know. So, could we maybe keep it down?"
Smilee gave her a droll look before pointing at his companion, who had already moved over to look at what she was working on. "Well then maybe you can get your brother to talk to you, because right now, I'm done." With that, he turned on his heel and stormed out of the HUB.
Sighing once more, Jacoba turned to get a better look at Thorn. She furrowed her brow; he looked as though he hadn't slept in days. "Ok, what's going on, brother?"
"Nothing."
Narrowing her eyes at her (practically) brother, Jacoba began to smirk after a minute or so. "Alright, don't tell me then." She turned back to her sniper scope and began to fiddle with it again. "But you do have to tell her. It wouldn't be right not to."
She could feel Thorn's confused gaze on her as she lifted her scope up to her eye. "Tell who what?"
Jacoba scoffed as she lowered the scope again and began packing it up, happy with the upgrades that she'd done. "You know who and what about."
"You know, sis, I'm not really in the mood for riddles right now."
Rolling her eyes, she turned back to the hacker. "So, you want me to stop beating around the bush?"
"That would be preferable."
Jacoba smirked again. "Luna, brother. You need to tell Luna how you feel about her."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
The Amazon sighed as she stood, hitting Thorn with an unamused look as she did so. "You're only fooling yourself, brother. Just don't take too long to figure it out." She walked away, now intent on finding Gunnar. Maybe he would have some insight on this. She doubted, but one could hope.
