Belladonna Family told Off the General

Kakarot is seen laying on the bed of the medical room in the school and just about to wake up from his unconscious, feeling a strange headache which felt familiar to him somehow though can't figure out why.

"Man, I must've eaten some rotten meat that did not go well with my stomach." Kakarot groaned.

"Kakarot! Thank goodness, you're alright, buddy!" Krillin was relieved as he was sitting next to the bed.

"Krillin? What happened to me?" Kakarot asked as he sat up.

"Well, there was this guy Adam who kidnapped you to get revenge on your family and things went… weird." Krillin hesitated to tell more to Kakarot if he doesn't remember.

"Adam? Oh, that's right! The bastard tried to make me a means to get Blake and my parents, but then everything went blank at the ruins." Kakarot remembered most of that.

"Including seeing the moon?" Krillin asked nervously.

"The moon? Uh, I think I remember seeing the moon, but nothing else." Kakarot confused, feels like this has happened to him before.

"YOU WILL NOT TAKE OUR SON?!" Kali shouted in rage which spook Kakarot and Krillin from the other side of the curtain.

"Mom? What got her in a yelling mood?" Kakarot asked.

"Well, your parents are talking with General Ironwood right now and they are not happy about him suggesting something that they didn't like." Krillin explained a little.

"Like trying to take me away? Yeah, no, I'm gonna give that guy a piece of my mind." Kakarot decided to give his own words to the general.

"Wait, no, Kakarot! I don't think that's a good idea!" Krillin tried to warn his best friend, but he didn't listen.

"Are you really going to ignore the fact that your "son" could've destroyed the kingdom alone as that giant monster!" Ironwood asked angrily.

Hearing that got Kakarot to stop his hand from touching the curtain with a confused look of what Ironwood could mean by giant monster, he decided to listen in and careful peak through the curtain to see his parents with Blake glaring at Ironwood.

"It wasn't Kakarot's fault! Adam was the one who kidnapped him and almost killed him." Blake explained.

"Yes, yes, you explain that but was it his intention on him having Kakarot turn into… this!" Ironwood gestured to the holographic screen of the footage of Kakarot as the Great Ape roaring and attacking.

Kakarot's eyes widen with shock to see that the giant ape monster is him as he had no idea that he could even do a transformation like that, and why didn't his parents tell him about this? This also made him remember the alien space pod that he came to Remnant in.

"No, Adam never knew about the transformation except for me and my wife. We didn't tell Blake about it for her own safety. And it only happens whenever Kakarot sees a full moon." Ghira explained.

"(The moon! Wait, so I'm like a monkey werewolf or something?)" Kakarot thought surprised.

"Hmm, I heard of reports about a giant monster Grimm incident from a few years back under the night of the full moon, but no one has been able to confirm this." Ironwood mentioned.

"Lucky for us since you're the most cautious of stupidity to ever trust." Kali mocked, earning a glare from the general.

"We've been managing to keep him from transforming again by preventing him from looking at the full moon, until today with Adam." Blake said.

"That still doesn't put me at ease with seeing this… Not only does he have a power that is unlike anything known to Remnant, but he could also be a dangerous threat if we're not"

"We're not letting you take him to Atlas." Blake growled.

"I am not going to do anything harmful to him, I'm just going to take him for his powers to be study and to see what's more he is capable of." Ironwood stated.

"Sounds more like experimenting on the boy. Tell me, general, how many more people have died from you being so "cautious" about something that could be a danger to your kingdom?" Ghira asked, standing a little closer to Ironwood.

"You dare question my best intention for the people's safety" Ironwood asked back with his own glare.

"Tell that to the many strict rules you place thinking it's best for everyone, but what you're doing is no better than treating all like caged animals on both humans and Faunus." Ghira stated strongly.

"Oh, and do you expect us to just wait around for danger to come toward us than going after the danger before it becomes a problem?" Ironwood angered.

"Except he's not a danger anymore, not since he lost his tail." Blake pointed out.

"Wait, lost my tail?" Kakarot confused of that until he looks down behind to see his butt area no longer home the long brown tail he used to have.

Kakarot felt more shocked within him that he just lost an important part of himself that has always been with him since the day of his birth, the very thing that is a part of his being, but it's now gone.

And there was only one responsive way he could do right now.

"AAAAAHHH?!" Kakarot screamed in shock as he jumps through the curtains.

"Kakarot?!" The Belladonna family shocked to see him up and about.

Kakarot moves back a little when eight Atlas robot guards are pointing their guards at him ready to fire on the general's order.

"Well, that's one wake up call I hope doesn't become a routine." Kakarot commented.

"You heard everything, have you?" Ghira asked with a sigh.

"…Yeah, I heard it all and saw the footage too." Kakarot chuckled nervously.

"But we'll talk about that later, right now I want to give my own say about NOT going to Atlas with him." Kakarot glared at the general.

"I just want to make sure you won't cause any problems for the world." Ironwood proclaimed.

"More like making up excuses to make an army that'll no doubt be your downfall." Kakarot stated.

"(I see he's just as stubborn as his family is.)" Ironwood thought saw how he responds to him like the Belladonna family.

"Besides, how was I supposed to know about the Great Ape transformation when I had no control over it in the first place nor do I even know how to." Kakarot shrugged as he carefully walks over to his family.

"I guess that your parents' fault for not helping you with that." Ironwood pointed out.

"There were still things about our son we don't know about, and we wanted him to discover those things on his own." Kali believed with a hand on his cheek.

"We let him live freely to be best fighter as himself, not by letting others tell him of what they fear of him being. Unlike how some humans are mistreating the Faunus." Blake added.

"Even though he is different than the rest of us, that doesn't mean he's different from us on the inside for he will always be the proud son I'm glad to have." Ghira smiled with a hand on his shoulder.

"Kakarot is our family, one of us, and we're not going to give up on him no matter what. We'll even fight against all of Atlas if that is our only choice!" Blake determined with a fierce glare at the general.

Kakarot smiles at his family from the kind words they're giving to show the general how strong their family bond is, something no force on Remnant could ever break even if that force if all the Grimms themselves. This makes him feel like they've grown stronger through their emotions.

Ironwood was in a tough pickle situation now with the Belladonna family making their strong peace and would even declare war on the kingdom of Atlas itself if it means to protect one of their own, he wanted to say they're all being crazy and should just follow his orders but he realizes that might not be a good idea since their father is the chieftain of Menagerie.

"It's best to let them go, James." Ozpin entered the scene.

"Ozpin!" Ironwood surprised.

"You can clearly see this family has such trust and faith in each other that it should be convincing enough for you to see that the threat is not here. All I see is a brave young boy who wants to be a protector like his friends and sister, and to seek battles against the strongest this world has to offer." Ozpin believed as he looks at Kakarot.

"But if you're still insisted on taking him, need I remind you that I'm still the headmaster of this school and I will not allow you to take him." Ozpin stated.

Ironwood knew that he isn't in a position to make demands right now, so he would have to back off from Kakarot and leave him be. For now.

"I hope you know what you are doing." Ironwood said as he walks away.

"I've been wondering about your actions lately. If it was the right decision to bring you in." Ozpin said.

Ironwood knew what he meant by that as he leaves the nurse's room.

"Thanks for that, Professor Ozpin." Kakarot thanked.

"You're very welcome, young man. But just be prepared just in case, Ironwood is the stubborn type to not give up." Ozpin warned.

"He won't take me." Kakarot smiled.

"That I have no doubt. Now, I believe you have some family time to get back to." Ozpin said as he walks away.

"You were right, dad. Ironwood is too strict for his own good." Kakarot commented.

"That's what worries me the most." Ghira sighed.

"Hey now, let's not worry about the mean general right now and focus on the positive." Kali suggested.

"If I may make a suggestion." Krillin walked in.

"I believe we should get some sleep since there's nothing else to do right now." Krillin said.

"But it's already late." Ghira pointed at the time.

"What?! You mean I miss dinner! Why does the world hate me?" Kakarot fell face-first onto the floor.

"And it's back to our hungry monkey program." Blake laughed a little.

"Don't worry, son. Weiss called the restaurant and have them move up our schedule to the morning time for breakfast." Kali informed.

"For now, let just get some sleep." Ghira suggested.

Blake and Kakarot went back to their rooms with Krillin while Kali and Ghira quickly made a trip back to the city and check in at the hotel they'll be staying at, the family knew that things might be a little different with Kakarot now knowing more about himself and will have to keep an eye out for Ironwood.

"Goodbye, old friend. You'll never be forgotten." Kakarot looked sadly at the picture of himself and his tail.

(Day of the Vytal Festival)

After a weekend, the day has finally come for the Vytal Festival to start with the place being held in the Amity Colosseum, the giant floating area where the tournament is also taking place for the combatants from each of the four schools will compete.

"Wow! I can't believe we're really here!" Kakarot looked around as he and Krillin have just exited the tunnel.

"You're telling me, I'm still getting goosebumps before we even arrived here." Krillin said, rubbing his arm a little.

"Oh man, I can't wait to fight all the strong warriors here!" Kakarot excitedly as he couldn't contain himself.

"Loving the energy, buddy. But save them for when the actual fighting start." Krillin advised, he feels a bit jealous that his best friend isn't feeling nervous nor scared in the slightest.

But he's gonna try and be brave like him, to get through this tournament for his lovely Lazuli and hopefully make it far past the double round.

"Are you ready for this, Krillin?" Kakarot asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Krillin answered and they fist-bump together.

"Hey, those guys must be our opponents." Krillin pointed ahead seeing four men on the fighting stage as just he and Kakarot walked on it.

"Do your best, sweetie! Give those four a hard course of defeat they'll never forget!" Kali cheered loudly with pompoms.

"Kali, try to control yourself." Ghira tried to calm down his wife.

"Kick their asses to next week!" Yang cheered with pompoms as well, both women cheering for Kakarot.

"Where did they get the pompoms?" Weiss asked.

"From the souvenir gift shop." Blake answered simply.

"I hope Krillin does okay, this is his first big fight." Lazuli concerned.

"Oh, look at that, Coco. She's really worried for her boyfriend." Lapis teased with his girlfriend and her team CVFY.

"I can totally see wedding bells above them." Coco winked.

"Shut up, you two." Lazuli glared at the couple.

"You can call it payback for all the teasing you gave us back when we were first years." Coco smirked and leans onto Lapis' shoulder.

"(Whatever, I'm just worried about Krillin getting hurt and all.)" Lazuli thought proclaimed, trying to shake off the weird feeling about her liking Krillin more than a friend.

"Looks like we got some fresh meat." One black man named Chappa commented at the two.

Chappa is a dark skinned, tall and muscular young man with a black afro hair and reddish-brown eyes. He wears a yellow robe with a metal blue belt, brown-yellow gauntlets with matching leg braces as he goes barefoot.

"Easy with the cockiness, Chappa. We have yet to see what they're capable of." Another fighter of the team said.

This boy is named Bruce Lee, a young man with short bowl-like hairstyle and black eyes. He wears a black and white clothing style of a Chinese martial art fighter while a nun-chuck in one hand, and black shoes with the bottom part being white.

"I hope this fight will be as painless as possible." One named Nam prayed to the Heavens.

Nam is a fairly tall man with brown skin, a long face, small beady eyes, and a small red dot on his forehead known as a bindi. He wears a white turban and an orange and maroon robe similar to the traditional garbs worn by Indian and Thai Buddhist monks.

"Come on, come on, let get this fight over with!" The larger one of the team shouted.

This one is known as Giran, he is a large and obese young man with blue and green hair, and yellow eyes. He wears a thick metal blue vest, brown fingerless gloves, dark green pants, and dark blue shoes. He's a Faunus with a rare trait, that is the pair of Pterodactyl wings on his back.

"Be patient, Giran. The match will start soon, and then we'll show that duo what we're made of." Chappa assured his large friend that this match is in the bag.

"Still, I'm surprise that Beacon would even allow only two first years to become a two-man team." Chappa admitted.

"Must be because of the odd numbers of students that came to Beacon, they couldn't find another pair to work with them and couldn't send them away after completing the initiation." Nam guessed.

"You got all of that from a guess?" Giran shocked.

"Hi, I'm Kakarot Belladonna! And I'm looking forward to meeting you." Kakarot greeted.

"Hehe, hi… I'm Krillin." Krillin waved hello.

"This is gonna be easy." Giran smirked.

"Be nice." Bruce scolded his teammate.

"Hello everyone, it's time to start the official tournament round of the Vytal Festival!" Port announced with Oobleck sitting next to him. The crowd cheers loudly for this.

"We are broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum!" Oobleck added.

"Let us break down the rules before we get started." Port said, he wants to make sure everyone remembers the rules.

"The tournament is divided into three distinctive rounds: teams, doubles, and singles. Age and school year are irrelevant! In this tournament, your only attribute being tested... is skill." Oobleck started off with the rules.

"Correct! The winners of this battle will elect two of their members to represent them in the doubles round, followed by the winners of that round choosing one member to advance once again. The remaining combatants will then fight their way through the final bracket in the hope of achieving victory for their kingdom!" Port mentioned.

"Now let us start the match of Team KK vs Team CBNG!" Port announced.

Kakarot ready himself in his fighting pose while Krillin holds his shield in front of him, the opponent team is also getting themselves ready for the match to start.
