Operation Capture the Fate Villain
The scene shows the central area of the tower where Kirie and the others fought Fate from her first time period, and where they are going to capture Fate Averruncus for Yukihime.
The UQ agents are getting themselves ready for the big battle in case a fight breaks out which Touta thinks will happen since this guy is supposed to be a powerful wizard on par with Yukihime.
"He's going to arrive here at 6:09PM." Kirie informed her fellow immortal agents.
"At that time, Touta idiot, you just need to hang out right around here." Kirie assigned Touta a job that she believes he won't mess it up.
"I see, give him what he wants only to end up falling for a trap." Touta nodded, understanding that part of the plan.
"Exactly what we want. Maybe go up and talk to him even. That should throw him off his game a bit." Kirie stated, hopefully Fate doesn't suspect a thing when it comes to Touta.
"So then, Touta will be playing decoy? His job is to solely distract Fate?" Kuroumaru asked.
"Yes, it's the perfect job for even this idiot of a devil here." Kirie answered with a confident grin.
"Oh, and you'll need this." Kirie tossed Touta an IPhone 13.
"You're the only one who can't communicate telepathically. So, we'll use this instead." Kirie explained the purpose of the phone.
"Awesome, thanks." Touta thanked, and always wonder what it's like to have a phone like this.
"Ikkuu and Karin will be our diversion. You can attack Fate in whatever way you like. He'll probably block you, but that's okay." Kirie said to the two other UQ agents.
"So, anything goes, huh? I can do that." Ikkuu agreed to this assignment.
"I understand." Karin nodded. Hopefully this plan will succeed for everyone, especially her beloved Touta since he's the main target.
"Now, Kuroumaru, you and I will be on standby. Once Fate arrives here, I'll need you to get me directly behind him. If I'm able to touch him, then that would mean we've on this fight. I'll be able to restrain him." Kirie explained her and Kuroumaru's big part in this plan.
"Huh, what do you mean? So, all you have to do is touch him." Kuroumaru confused on this part.
"Are you kidding me with all this utter nonsense? I have to go and explain that too." Kirie complained that Kuroumaru doesn't get the whole picture here.
"When I die, I can take anyone I'm touching at the time back with me to my Safe Point." Kirie mentioned.
"Right, you once took Touta back in time with you. It just seems unbelievable that you can take physical things with you like that." Kuroumaru stated this fact is still a shock to him.
"Truth of the matter is, I can choose wherever I want to re-spawn." Kirie said with a grin.
"When I took the idiot back with me, we just went back to the Safe Point. But this time, I set up the cave under HQ." Kirie revealed.
"Oh, done some extra preparation before coming here. Nice!" Touta complimented on Kirie's thinking.
"Yes, so in other words, next time I die and return whoever I'm toughing will…" Kirie paused for Kuroumaru to finally understand the plan.
"Be trapped in the cave under HQ." Kuroumaru finished the sentence, starting to get it.
"Exactly, and while there's a way out of that cave, it will take him a while to find out." Kirie mentioned, just to make sure that Fate tries to leave the cave immediately when he is brought in.
"So, seems simple enough for you." Kirie said.
"I get where you're going with this, but doesn't that mean I get trapped down there with him as well." Kuroumaru asked concern about this plan.
"Yeah, but that's a minor problem. Don't worry." Kirie proclaimed, trying to shrug this off.
"A minor one?" Kuroumaru exclaimed, already not liking this plan a little.
While Touta does think this plan may work in order to get the drop of this Fate weirdo and prevent anyone here from getting hurt, he doesn't seem to know himself if he should go along with this or not because of one or two reasons. One of them being about Kirie having to kill herself again.
"Kirie, when you die and return, you think you could manage to take us along with you?" Ikkuu asked. This surprises the others that he would ask something like that.
"I've got no desire to be left in a world where you'll be forced to commit suicide again. Of course, we might disappear from this world when you reset everything. But I'm guessing that you've never thought about all of this in that sort of way. Huh?" Ikkuu stated.
Kirie started to see his point that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea have more people coming along when she restarts time, at least to make sure Fate doesn't try to do anything forcible onto her and Kuroumaru.
"I agree with Ikkuu, this Fate guy is pretty strong meaning it's gonna take a lot more than sneaking up on the guy to get him trap." Touta pointed out.
"Okay, you two made sense with the plan. Well then, just before I die everyone should gather around me. Then we can all go back as one group." Kirie decided on adjustment to the plan.
"Yup, that sounds good." Ikkuu nodded, approving this plan fully.
"Let's get started." Karin said.
"Alright, we just gotta make sure we're all on Kirie when we have Fate in our clutches." Touta said, looking excited.
"But if you guys don't make it in time, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to wait for you." Kirie stated.
"Make sense since we're on pressing for time, we'll just have to prepare ourselves for the worse." Touta understood with a nod.
Soon, everyone got into position in the spots Kirie ordered them to be in and act casual as possible to not throw off any suspicious for Fate to realize, Touta is standing out in the open for this Fate guy to come hopefully distract him with a conversation.
The scene to outer space showing a cute satellite orbiting around the planet and then it was positioned at one spot where Ikkuu and the others are, and all that done by the immortal cyborg himself.
"(Field of vision is clear. I'm linked with the visuals from the AI-Iskandariva, I can attack at any time.)" Ikku informed while sitting at a table and drinking some tea.
"(Ikkuu, do you really think we need to use the mistress's Orbital Satellite cannon?)" Karin asked, thinking that is a little extreme.
"(Well, my robot body would be easily broken in close-quarter combat. Plus, I've always wanted to give this a try. It seems fun.)" Ikkuu explained while holding the trigger device for the satellite.
"(Just don't cause any unnecessary damage.)" Karin advised.
"(No, of course not.)" Ikku assured that he knows what he is doing.
Meanwhile with Touta, he has been doing a little thinking and something is bugging him that he calls Kirie for a quick question.
"Hey Kirie, I just thought of something that I want to ask you really quick." Touta said on the phone.
"What is it? We don't have time, so make it quick." Kirie hoped that Touta isn't wasting time.
"I was just wondering about Yukihime not being part of the trap. I figured if we have her powerhouse strength, this could go help make the plan more success." Touta stated.
"If Yukihime were here, Fate would instantly know our plan. It would ruin the whole idea of a surprise attack." Kirie explained.
"I see, so that means Fate must already know Yukihime in the past, right? Guess that make sense." Touta started to see that.
Then an unknown girl wearing a cloak bump shoulders onto Touta and just kept on walking while the vampire-Devil boy saw the girl go.
"(Weird, that felt like… somewhat familiar.)" Touta thought noticed this odd feeling. Not noticing a small white magic circle appearing on the back of his left shoulder where the girl bumped on.
"Look sharp. Nine minutes left." Kirie informed.
"You should hide for now." Kirie advised.
"Alright but try to keep your guard up just in case. Anything could happen, so I want everyone to be on high alert for anything." Touta advised back and hangs up.
Something was still bothering Touta about this Fate guy and about how he theorized that he and Yukihime do know each other from years ago, so he decided to look up a little more about Fate on the internet on any historical records about him.
But suddenly his phone went black and Yukihime appears on the screen.
"Yukihime?" Touta surprised.
"Touta, I knew that you'd be interested in learning more about Fate Averruncus, so I upload this to your phone. I prefer to explain about him." Yukihime revealed this feature in the phone.
"So, it was no random phone that Kirie gave me. You're so damn smart and sexy, and yet you're a terrible cook." Touta teased, making his first girlfriend blush but regains her composure.
"80 years ago, Fate helped us out with Mars. He helped resolve that incident, saving the world. Your grandfather, Negi Springfield, was there with him the whole time." Yukihime revealed making Touta shock a little.
"Whoa, as in they used to be best friends?" Touta asked, feeling a little quiver.
"You could say that, Fate was never interested in others before he met your grandfather and only cared for no one but himself." Yukihime said before continuing the story.
"In those days, the two of them were known as heroes. Sometime after, I decided to join them in their battles as a comrade. But then 20 years ago, when your grandfather suddenly passed away, Fate's personality and behavior changed. He became an enemy and threat to humanity. He's after you because of his relationship with Negi." Yukihime explained.
"(Damn, what happened to the guy that made him change so much?)" Touta thought wondered. Did his grandpa Negi's death really affect the guy this much?
"Listen Touta, ignore what he says. No matter what he might say, forget it." Yukihime ordered before hanging out.
"So, Fate used to be a good friend with my grandpa." Touta whispered to himself.
"One minute left, get your head in the game. You idiot of a cutie." Kirie muttered that last part to herself.
"Did you say something?" Kuroumaru asked, thought he had heard Kirie say something.
"None of your business." Kirie glared.
Touta does some more thinking about this whole thing with Fate and Negi being friends in the past and how they saved the world together, but something about this just doesn't sit right with the immortal vampire-Devil boy who believes there is more to this story than what Yukihime just told him.
"(This guy is after me because of his history with Grandpa Negi, but something in my Devil instinct tells me that there is something more to this. Not to mention she told me that I should ignore whatever Fate says, almost like there is something she doesn't want me to know.)" Touta thought found that suspicious.
"(Obviously, Yukihime is trying to protect me from whatever truth she is trying to hide. And Fate has the answers…)" Touta thought closed his eyes for a moment to think about this.
On one hand, he could take Yukihime's advice to ignore Fate and just capture him like they were ordered to prevent him from doing whatever his plan his.
On the other hand, Fate may hold the key to all the lock doors of questions that has been pondering in his hand and decides to ignore the others and get the answers himself.
Both of these options are very hard to choose in this situation, but he will have to wait once they catch Fate and then he'll decide on what to do.
One way or another, all this with Fate could be related to more than two years ago before he lost his memories and the accident that killed his parents, and he's going to find out what.
"I see him." Karin reported that she just saw Fate.
Touta quickly turns around at the stair trying to find this man, only to realize that he still has no idea on what he looks like.
"Karin, where is he?" Touta asked whispering.
"Not on the stairs. He's already at the bottom." Karin answered.
Ikkuu quickly use the satellite to zoom at the tower to find the target known as Fate Averruncus.
"Got him. It looks like he appeared outta nowhere." Ikkuu said, seeing Fate walking in the crowd.
"Hey guys, I still don't know what Fate looks like." Touta informed while being calm, which causes Kirie to pinch the bridge of her nose and groaning in frustration.
"He's just at the left of center." Ikkuu said.
Touta looks to the left as Karin also helps him with knowing what Fate Averruncus looks like.
"He's the tall one with white hair. There's no mistaking him." Karin said.
Touta finally locked his sight onto the man himself, the one who tried to take him away in Kirie's first time save or whatever she called it again. Now all that is left to do is go up to him and do a distraction for Ikkuu.
However, before Touta could even take one step forward, his eyes widen with shock upon seeing something else within that crowd besides Fate.
Ikkuu ready himself to pull the trigger for the laser firing from the satellite, but then Touta calls in.
"Ikkuu, sorry to ask this, but could you not fire the laser?" Touta asked.
"Why not?" Ikkuu asked as he and the others are confused about this sudden last-second change of plan.
"You devil idiot! What's going on?" Kirie asked.
"Two of my friends from the countryside are here…"
"…and they're walking just behind Fate." Touta informed with serious concern tone shocking the UQ Holder agents.
The two friends of Touta are one who is large and a little chubby named Nikumaru Tanaka, and the other one has pale light brown hair covering his left eye named Tooru Mitsuhashi.
"(Fucking Hell! Why did they come to the Capital? And why did they choose to come now?)" Touta thought feared they're gonna end up in the crossfire of this fight with Fate, worse than getting hurt since they're not immortal.
Touta also thought that maybe in the previous time when he and the others fought Fate, his friends must've come to the tower as well though not sure if they managed to get away from the fight or not.
But that doesn't matter because right now, they're here and the UQ Holders need to do something that won't put them in danger.
"Understood, we'll call off the attack. Get out of there now." Kirie ordered, she understands that Touta wants to protect his friends from the danger of this immortal battle.
"He can't. It's too late." Kuromaru stated, seeing the reason with his own eyes.
"I'm afraid Kuroumaru is right. That bastard, Fate has already noticed me, and he's headed straight this way." Touta informed, seeing Fate looking directly at him.
"No going back now." Touta said to himself as he put his phone away.
"(This is crazy, everything was gonna go find until my friends suddenly showed up in the most unexpected way. Although maybe this could work in our favor.)" Touta thought grinned.
"(It's a big gamble, but maybe Ikkuu can still use the laser to fire on Fate while I protect my friends or maybe we could wing it and try something else. We'll just have to see how this will go.)" Touta thought readied himself for anything.
"Yo, Nikumaru! Tooru!" Touta called out to his two friends which got their attention.
"No way, is that Touta?" Tooru asked, seeing the guy in front of them.
"Dude, it is Touta! Hey, Touta!" Nikumaru responded as the two ran up to their best friend to have a little reunion together.
"Damn, what the heck are you guys doing here in the tower?" Touta asked.
"We could ask you the same thing." Tooru smiled as the three friends' fist-bump each other.
"Hey, are you a superhero with your awesome power yet?" Nikumaru asked excitedly.
Ikkuu sees that Touta is interacting with his two friends, believing that Touta got their attention for protection.
"(I could fire the laser right now; Fate would be hit and I trust Touta to protect his friends. It's now or never.)" Ikkuu thought held the trigger device.
But before he could press the button, his left arm with the device was cut off by a sword piercing his chest done by a maid with black eyes.
"I don't think so." The maid grinned evilly.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Looks like the plan to capture Fate may prove to be a little difficult with the sudden appearance of Touta's friends from the countryside, and the laser plan is a no-go either because of a mysterious maid. Let's hope Touta can still pull this off.
