Theory#8: Copen and Mytyl were ditched.

Shortly after Mytyl was born, her Muse Septima was deemed too powerful for her infantile body. Upon noticing this, Dr. Kamizono performed an operation on the girl. However, this caused Mytyl's health to decline. She lost the ability to move anything from the waist down.

Talking or making vocalizations of any sort were impossible. Feeling guilty, Dr. Kamizono and his wife may have left the sanatorium. Or Copen's parents may not have wanted to deal with the fact that one of their children was an Adept. If this were to be the case, the day S-FIT supposedly exploded would have been the best day to do this.

This information would cause Copen to think his mother left to grieve and his father died.

His daughter was going to die. That's the worry that was going through Dr. Kamizono's mind as he looked at his seven month old daughter. She was a frail thing, far more so than she should've been at that age. After doing some reviews over her recent bloodwork results, it seemed an anomaly was found within her blood.

Further research showed that she was an Adept. This made the man's blood boil. He couldn't wrap his head around it. There would be no way he was going to allow this innocent being to suffer.

Especially not when he could do something about it. There was an incredibly overwhelming sense of guilt that arose in him after reading the results. He should've known it sooner. She was constantly falling ill, always crying and very underweight.

If someone so much as blinked the wrong way or breathed in Mytyl's direction, she was sick too. But, in all of his career, this was the first time that Dr. Kamizono saw an irregularity such as this. It was always said that Adepts had their Septima revealed between the ages of one and ten years old. This was something that surely turned his career and life upside down.

Immediately after learning about this, he knew something needed to be done. Using what he knew, Dr. Kamizono set to work removing Mytyl's Septima. It was a grueling proccess, one that happened to be successful. This didn't change the fact that the girl would be forced to live as an outcast the rest of her days.

However, this was not known at the time. After a few weeks, it was noticed that the girl was not producing any sound like she used to. No matter if she appeared to be crying, laughing, or even a light sneeze, not even a peep was heard. Further down the line, Mytyl apparently missed an important milestone at 11 months: walking.

She wouldn't walk or talk. This was extremely upsetting to her parents. Their son Copen, on the other hand, had already passed this mark. Concerns arose that Mytyl may have been born with a rare genetic condition that caused muteness and immobility from the waist down.

Dr. Kamizono's wife was completely unware of the operation that occurred to her sweet baby girl, and remained completely oblivious to the matter. Unfortuntely, after an exceedingly stressful day at work, it seemed to him that all hope was lost. During his lunch break, Dr. Kamizono decided to discuss something with his assistant.

"Mytyl apparently had a Septima. I removed it, but, there's been some complications. After its removal I found that she isn't talking or moving her waist or anything below it. I can't stand looking at her, knowing that her suffering is my fault. Not just that, but the Septima as well. I'm extremely infuriated by it. She was never supposed to be an Adept. I've never seen an Adept with a Septima under a year old in all of my career. It just doesn't make sense." Dr. Kamizono droned.

"Well, you probably won't have to worry about seeing her anymore." the assistant notified.

This caused Dr. Kamizono to instantly fear the worst.

"What makes you say that?" Dr. Kamizono wondered.

"After the incident with Takefutsu's escape earlier, they're making all Sumeragi workers here leave their families. Rumors are the higher ups want this to look like an accident. A cover story has already been made that this building has exploded due to some sabotaged equipment. We have to leave today so everyone thinks its true." his assistant explained.

Dr. Kamizono's blood ran cold. He was aware the top brass were ruthless in their governance. But never did he imagine they would take it this far. Requesting employees to abandon not only their homes, but relatives and loved ones? They treated one of the most disheartening things ever like a mere flick of the wrist. Anyone without emotion was deemed efficient in their eyes.

"They also plan on giving us further orders via disposable cell phones. Some workers are going floor to floor handing them out. We should be getting ours within fifteen to twenty minutes." the assistant added.

"Will the calls be monitored?" Dr. Kamizono inqueried.

"I don't know, but it's best not to try and phone home, just in case." the assistant warned.

That day, Dr. Kamizono went from being Sumeragi's most well known scientist to a man never known again.

Years later, when Copen turned 14, he attempted to look into why his mother wasn't present.

"Maybe she's living with our aunt." Mytyl typed.

"It's possible, but I doubt it." Copen denied.

"She loved you both very much. If she were around, she'd be here taking care of you." Nori corrected.

"I still don't understand. Some of these files aren't lining up with what Sumeragi said. It's almost as if they're trying to cover up the truth. But what exactly is it?" Copen pondered.

Little did Copen know, he would never learn the truth.
