Marie knocks on the door and it doesn't take long for it to opens as opens the door with a smile and simply tells her that Nazz is already upstair . Marie goes to the stairway , carrying her blanket and pillow as goes to the door to lock everything down . She remembers where Nazz's room is and it doesn't take long to find the lit ,slightly open room . Marie walks in and find Nazz just finished changing in her pajamas and just about to get into her beauty sleep routine which start with some face cream . Marie pops her head in and Nazz turns around ,finding her best friend.
Nazz : ooh , just in time . Let do some beauty sleep prep together , do you have a your own set or just doing the basics ?
Pointing to her huge basket of beauty products on her mirror drawers . Marie can remember the days when Nazz entered her senior year of middle school and her look was already killing so many boy hearts and make so many other girls jealous ,some even older than her , now that she is about to finished highschool , many are desperate for her hand in the homecoming dance as the ultimate prom queen to remember . For Marie , she is Nazz , her best friend that used to be the light to dark ,yin to her yang to weird duo.
Marie : not really , i just use some deep cleaner and moisturizer .
Being quite frugal and bare bone , also not really interested in these sort of beauty products .
Nazz : oh come on , you know we both used to look the exact same as each other .
Nazz looks at Marie with a smirk and a raised eyebrow at her blue hair friend .
Marie : oh come on , we weren't that alike .
Marie chuckle ,putting her pillow on the bed then walks to and take a seat next to Nazz in front of the mirror .
Nazz : Oh come on, we used to do all sort of things with how similiar we look , remember the time you and I swapped places to do each other test .
Marie laughs : cause you and I were considered as dumd blondes ,although i missed having long hair sometime .
Looking at the mirror , one with ocean blue and the other bright sun light yellow blonde hair .
Nazz : Welp you can't say we both look bad with how we currently look . Come on , you gotta have some numbers flying your way . I have so much that it's becoming annoying .
Marie : yeah , about that .
Marie turns to the side and Nazz can tell the conversation is about to take a heavy turn so she turns to Marie , letting her gentle hands on her shoulders and leans in .
Marie : I have a crush but i can't be with him or it will destroy us both .
Nazz : Woah, that is quite heavy .
Taken back by the seer weight of her words .
Marie : He doesn't know about how i feel about him cause i still have one more year with him and i don't want to ruin our current relationship .
Nazz is a bit puzzled .
Nazz : I don't think highschool even prestigious one ban puppy love .
Marie : He is my teacher .
The suddne rebuttal make Nazz frozen in her place as she can't believe what she just heard .
Nazz : Marie , this isn't right . Please don't tell me he lured you in with extra credits or something ,...
Marie : No, no no .
She chuckles a bit to Nazz's surprise.
Marie : I just really like the guy ,first as a student to a teacher but now from a woman to a man . Look , i know this look awful but i know how i feel and i know i'm not lying to myself. I just don't see a way to solve this without hurting either or both of us .
Nazz : Welp , may be just wait it out ?
Marie : Then i will run out of time .
Nazz : oh . Well , at least try to think of a way to better judge the situation cause if i were in your shoes . There are still ways to both beat the aligations that he groomed you which i hope it's not and make a solid relationship from this .
Marie looks over to Nazz who uses her beauty products as dolls to best represent game that they are in .
Nazz : Well, you still have one year at that place before going to college ,also you don't know he is going to stay there after you left so what you should do when you see him again is to establish some future plans on his end . Also is he cute ?
She sarcastically looks to Marie with a grin and Marie jokingly shove her into the bed behing them . The two share laughs before going back to the plans when Marie pulls her phone to show Nazz her teacher.
Nazz : yeah , he is definately your type ,also weirdly familiar like i saw him on the news or at least in some article but that could be just some deja vu.
Marie : I don't think he is even the type to seek fame and fortune like he looks like he is from the country side from the way he talk to some of the other staff at the school .
Nazz : I don't see him as a farm boy like look at the skin tone , farm boy are tanned to the bone and sunless college won't change it .
Nazz and Marie continues to argue till the point they wore each other out to sleep while back in campus , in the staff dormatory where only a few are there as to maintain the premise , usally janitors and mechanic checking in in the morning but mostly are the 4 security guards patrolling the inner part of the school but this summer ,one person decided to spend a few more days at the campus before heading home , Marie's teacher . He is still finish drafting all the lesson plans for the 1st semester before hand so he can dedicate his holidays on relaxing . The accommidation is quite nice and he can bring his own equipment to work as long as he doesn't connect it to the school servers . Fresh off the shower , he exits the bathroom with a towel around his waist and nothing more since the weather is still quite hot and he doesn't use the AC much until night time when he needs it to sleep . Drying his hair with a towel as he goes to his bed to put on his clothes , besides them are his luggages, already packed with tommorow is when he leaves the school to travel back home . Removing the towels , he puts his underware on before putting on the long white sleeves then fresh sweat pants as he doesn't have plans for the night outside finishing his work . Putting his cap back on he returns the laptop to put in the final touches before his dinner done warming up in the microwave . Not the best way to end the year but consider he will spend 2 months away , the taste doesn't matter much than the feeling of being here .
? : with that , i'm done for the year .
Pressing the shutdown button on screen as he closes and let it rests on the desk as he goes fetch his fried rice and soup from the oven . Scrolling on his phone with every bite of his food until he got a call from an old friend .
? : Hey buddy , been awhile , how are you doing ?
? : Nothing out of the ordinary , how the corperate life been for you ?
? : Still same old same old , deals made , money in the bag , happy customers , like always .
? : I wouldn't expect it to go any other way , how the big guy been doing ? He is in the same city as you . Haven't talk to the guy for awhile now.
? : No worry , i visit him every other week , you know he doesn't hold anything against you since we stuck together from kindergarden to college . Even after we had to split to start our lives , we are still like brothers .
? : Glad to hear it , so , what pleasure do i owed the great Mc. Gee on this day ?
: You always know what people thinks , kind of a great super power to be honest but i'll cut to the chase . I need you to come with me on a shareholder meeting and an investment meeting with an law firm as we are working to secure their service since our last partner pushed the price too high .
? : I'm start to wonder did you got a peak into my schedule or you got lucky with timing this time ?
: Oh come on , that was like one time in college and we needed you to pass that dumd class anyway.
? : Ok ok , when will this meeting start ,i'm heading back to my dad for a visit before really enjoying my holidays.
: Great , the meeting will be in 10 days and it's a long meeting like a whole week of making deals as you have fun type of things , golf , fundraisers and hunting , all sort of shits.
? : Ok , sounds good and where will be then ?
: Atlanta , where most of the deals will take place before going to the country club for the other activities before ending it with a private fundraisers party. oh,yeah , are you single ?
He rolls his eyes at the question : Yes , and ?
: There will be quite the party especially for picking up find lady if you catch my drift.
? : Oh grow up man, i'll go with you like old time but nothing more than that . Also i will send you my list of expenses cause i don't want to be bother with this in my tax return.
: No need to worry , i will notify the accountant to set up an extra account for your expense ,from my salary , thank you very much .
