It was the weekend and the gang were in the factory as they needed to deactivate a tower.

"Okay..." Jeremie says typing at the computer "Scanner Yumi... Scanner Aelita... Scanner Odd..."

"Hey William" Ulrich asks nudging him "What's going on between you and that new girl?"

"Nothing" he replies shrugging "We haven't even talked?"

"You should get to know her more, then"

"Hey guys get into the scanners" Jeremie tells them impatiently "We got a tower to deactivate"

"Oh yeah sorry Einstein"

They both enter the scanners and he virtualises them into the mountain sector where the others were waiting. Jeremie tells them where the tower's location is and materializes their vehicles. Aelita and William use their own transport methods.

Soon after they quickly stopped to observe the monsters guarding the tower.

"Just three megatanks and several bloks" Aelita states "Won't be much of a problem"

The others nod in agreement as Yumi jumps down from her overwing; Ulrich sends the over bike flying at the blok knocking it out and devirtualising it. Aelita starts attacking the bloks from the air with Odd still on his over board trying to shoot one of the megatanks. William still in his supersmoke form flies over the megatank, jumps out of his form and brings the zweihander down but it compresses into a ball again.

Ulrich fights the blocks alongside Aelita (who is in the air) while Yumi handles the remaining megatank. She cartwheels to the left and that's when it opens up. Taking this opportunity, she throws her fan at the megatank devirtualising it. William also having devirtualised the other one turns round to fight the third one but is devirtualised instantly by it. Yumi seeing this quickly throws both her fans just as it charges up. At this point Odd's overboard had already gone and he was forced to fight on the ground with them. The remaining bloks were not going to be much of a problem so Aelita flies towards the tower as the others defeat the rest of the bloks effortlessly.

The gang walk back over the bridge to see the sun slowly descending over the horizon. Yumi tells them she needs to get home as her dad was coming back from work so she left. The rest went back through the sewers to the dorms.

Odd and the others went to their first class. Odd sat behind Ulrich while Aelita and Jeremie sat next to each other. During class Odd noticed Farrah (who was two seats across from him) looking at the board with a downcast expression. He has a feeling she may be thinking about something. At first he was thinking about talking to her about what was wrong but a better idea came to mind.

William walked over to the side of the cafeteria, during lunch time, where Odd apparently wanted to meet him. He didn't know exactly what for but agreed to come. After waiting he saw Odd arrive but with Farrah. He groans.

"I was just hoping... you know... you can talk... with her... about... er... stuff like... whyshewasupsetinclasstoday' he blurts out before quickly speeding off into the distance.

"Odd! Come back here!" he yells after him.

He groans in annoyance rubbing his forehead then turns around where she stood silently, staring at the ground, fiddling with her fingers.

"Yeah about what he said" he looks at her nervously "How er... how come you were upset erm... in class... not-that-you-want-to-say-it-if-you-don't" he adds waving his hands nervously.

"No... it's fine" she sighs "I know what he's doing too"

William looked at her though nothing came out of his mouth to reply to her.

'Back there in class... I was thinking... about my birth parents. If you didn't know... I was adopted... They lived in Iraq but moved to France six month ago, they adopted me around that time from an orphanage. I kind of wished that I had some recollection of my real parents but..."

"Oh sorry abo-"

"Don't worry, you don't have to apologise..." she whispered "But imagine... how it feels not knowing who or where your real parents are"

They both kept silent then she quickly broke the silence.

"Sorry for bringing all this on you" she said smiling nervously.

He doesn't say anything; she walks off saying she has homework to do and leaves him standing there. After another thirty seconds he leaves too. Odd and Ulrich who were watching from behind one of the arches see William leave to the direction of the dorms.

"Nice one genius" Ulrich remarks sarcastically "Got any other great ideas?"

Odd walks out from behind his hiding spot unable to say anything back to him.

"Well I... I... I'm just gonna back to my room!" he said storming off.

"What's up with him?" he scoffs watching him walk away; he then turns round only to bump into Yumi.

"O-Oh Y-Yumi I-"

"Jeremie's calling us" she told him "He said we had to go to the Hermitage"

"Re-really?"

"Yeah him and Aelita are already there and I called William, you better-"

"Ok I'll call Odd" he replies taking out his phone and dialling in his number.

"What do you want?"

"Jeremie wants us at the Hermitage, right now" Ulrich informs him while ignoring his tone.

"Hmph, okay... I'll be there..." he said cutting their signal.

Ulrich put the phone back and looked back at Yumi.

"Lets go"

They went deep into the woods while holding hands. Soon enough they see the Hermitage where Jeremie, Aelita and William were waiting nearby. They immediately let go and stand nearby waiting for Odd. Said person comes rushing in a few minutes later.

"Finally... everyone's here..." he grumbles "Lets get started"

He explains to them that they are supposed to find a source that they could use to weaken X.A.N.A.. After Odd asks if he could give them a clue on what it looks like. Jeremie just tells him that they would know once they see it. He puts them into pairs: Yumi and Odd, William and Aelita and Ulrich and him.

Ulrich and Jeremie went upstairs with Yumi and Odd. The latter duo then separate to go up into the attic while they search the rooms on the first floor. After a few minutes Ulrich asks him a question.

"Jeremie?..."

"Yes?..." He responds almost bored as they walk into Aelita's old room.

"How come you know this thing we need will weaken X.A.N.A.?" he inquired "How did you even find this information?"

Jeremie stops to a halt and slowly turns to face him a X.A.N.A. symbol now on his forehead.

"Oh no a polymor- ahhh!" but the clone quickly grabs him, pushing him against a wall before dragging him to an empty room. Ulrich struggled to release himself but the polymorphic clone locks the door using his powers. It then changes into Ulrich before walking off in another direction.

Aelita and William were searching around the living room on the ground floor. He sat on the couch and gave a sigh thinking about what Farrah said earlier this morning.

"What's wrong William?"

"I wonder... how it feels like to have parents you never knew" he says to himself looking down at his hand.

Aelita looks at him confused. She at first thinks about asking him about what he means but shrugs it off and resumes the search.

Just then Ulrich arrives into the room.

"Ulrich!" Aelita exclaims "Did you manage to find it?"

Ulrich silently nods and motions them to follow him. Quizzically, Aelita left the room William silently following. He leads them to the lower ground floor. They could see the boiler room not to far. Ulrich goes towards it.

"Ulrich?" asked Aelita following him "How come you found it here?... we didn't see you go down here at all"

Ulrich turns intending to grab her when William quickly intervenes.

"I had a feeling you were a polymorphic clone the moment you took us down here" William mutters still holding off the clone "Aelita you get to the factory with the others"

Aelita nodded and ran up the stairs hoping to find the others. She went to the first floor to try and find Jeremie and Ulrich. A bang was heard from one of the rooms. Aelita quickly went over and saw the real Ulrich there. She tried to open it but it didn't budge.

"Find Yumi and Odd and deactivate the tower"

Aelita ran off towards the attic and saw the broken window, fearing the worst she quickly ran over and saw Yumi barely hanging on while Odd was holding onto Yumi's leg. Aelita grabs her hand and pulls them up; she tells them they need to get to the factory to help the others as they were in a predicament. They go back down to the ground floor where they see the clone blocking the door.

"I'll handle him you need to get her to the factory" Odd said getting into a fighting stance. The girls went back round the basement and to the back of the house and opened the door to the sewers.

Once they were in the elevator Aelita ran over to the supercomputer while Yumi went down another floor. Aelita started up the procedure for self virtualisation before heading down the ladder. Aelita tells her the coordinates she saw on the computer and they both head there. Yumi had to hold onto Aelita's hands as she flew as Aelita couldn't materialize a vehicle without anyone on Lyoko.

Soon enough they saw the tower not too far ahead guarded by three tarantulas and a megatank.

"How original can XANA get" sighed Yumi rolling her eyes.

"I'll distract the megatank while you deal with the two tarantulas" Aelita explained

"Yeah Okay" she agreed letting go of Aelita's hands. She does a small roll as she lands then throws her fans. Only one hit it's target.

Aelita carried on being the air force of the group by attacking from afar in the air. Nothing too bad happened except for Yumi getting hit three times by the tarantulas before devirtualising them.

Aelita having also defeated all the monsters stop when she hears Jeremie's voice.

"You guys doing okay?" he asked

"Yeah" Yumi assured him "I'm going in"

Yumi walks towards the middle before floating to the top platform. She places her hand onto the screen. Her name comes up followed by the words Code: Lyoko. Outside, Aelita sees the tower's aura turn blue again. She asks Jeremie to rematerialize them.

When they arrive back to the computer room the elevator opens revealing Odd, Ulrich, William and to their surprise Farrah. Jeremie and the girls look at them in surprise.

"She found us and helped us escape so we told her to follow us since she kept telling me and William what we were doing here and why Odd was fighting the clone" Ulrich explained

Aelita nodded at Jeremie who understood. He pressed a button which sent a return to the past.

"...and so the respiratory system can help with making sure the body is getting the energy it needs" states Mrs Hertz "The alveoli play a big role is allowing oxygen to be passed onto the bloodstream..."

Odd looks over at Farrah again to see her with the same glum look. He decides to not do his plan after all, as this might be something she rather not talk about right now. He continues to stare back at the front of the class; what he didn't expect was for William to approach her during lunch time as they exit their class. He looks on as they two walk off somewhere else. Jeremie and the others standing nearby look at the scenario in bewilderment not knowing what was going on. Yumi approaches them asking what he was doing.

"We don't know either" Jeremie answers

"Could it be" Odd gasps "That he's finally confessing to her!"

"Cut it out Odd" Jeremie mutters "He can't fall for her that quickly"

"You may never know, deep down he may like her back"

They walk under the arches while they wait for him. A few minutes later, they see Farrah leaving the forest they were in with a smile on her face making them even more confused. After William joins their group they bombard him with questions.

"Hey guys calm down, one at a time"

"Well what did you do... and say for that matter?" inquired Ulrich

"Well I improved upon Odd's original idea from before by talking with her more" He informs them "I told her some words of comfort by telling her... her... that...ermm…"

"What did you tell her then?" Odd inquired

"Uhh… well would you look at the time... our next class is starting, we better be going" and with that he left unable to tell them what happened due to remembering the hug he gave her after. His face turns a slight red as he walks off to his next class.

The others look at him with confusion as to why he is acting so off. Jeremie looks at the time on his watch.

"It's not even thirty minutes into lunch yet" he informs the already silent gang.

Odd grins "Well that was definitely unexpected"
