It's been over five years since I put this story on hold, in an attempt to rewrite the whole thing. In the past few years I have re-written the first three chapters, but stopped at some point. After what I think has been almost two years since I've last been re-writing the chapters, I've recently got back into re-writing this story.
All notes and chapter summaries I've made back then I still have thankfully, and going over them has refreshed my memory of all that I have planned for this story.
After going over and editing the first three chapters I've re-written and re-writing the new chapter 4 and 5, I've also decided to re-watch the series from the first episode this time. As the last time I re-watched the series a year ago I just started from season 2 (as that is when the story actually begins and all) and cherry picked episodes to watch from there on. This time, day-by-day I've begun my watching of all five seasons, from August 1st (I hope to finish them all in two or three weeks!).
I do plan on making another update that will confirm the date when I'll put out the new version of my Code Lyoko fic. Possibly on the next month or two.
As for when I will post the new version, it is still unknown. It could be as early as September, but the furthest time I will do my best to post it is January 2025. That is the furthest date I can say (I don't want to keep holding it further than that date!) but it could come out before then.
Finally, as for the previous chapters, they will stay as they are (but I've done a few edits). I'm still going through the re-writing as of now and am reaching chapter Reconciliation soon (the latest chapter i posted up to on Quotev).
