File found: Liberator's Shadow Guard

Warning: The following is highly sensitive information and only to be read by the Liberator, Liberation Council, Majors or higher officers of the USA, and members of the Liberator's Shadow Guard.

Liberator's Shadow Guard (LSG)

Formation:

Zerayah Cain, Miracle Child of the Liberator saved from the grasp of Nurgle, is credited with creating the Liberator's Shadow Guard (LSD). Originally, it was an effort of a daughter to protect her father from assassins sent by the Imperium. Thankfully, the Liberator made sure none of the Assassins survived their attempts.

Zerayah decided to join the USA as a field officer to put her abilities to good use following her youth as the Liberator's daughter. She served multiple campaigns, most notable was her defense against tyranids.

However, she would eventually desire to protect her father following a failed assassination attempt by an Eversor Assassin. She used her connections to form the Shadow Guard to protect the Liberator from assassins. However, like her adoptive father, she would have a grander vision for her organization. However, the Liberator, ever the pragmatic, wished to see if his daughter was worthy of the mantle while eliminating a threat.

To do so, the Council gave Zerayah an impossible task: eliminate a Champion of Nurgle upon a plague planet and burn the planet to the ground all alone. The full report on the battle is available for study by the Liberation Council, LSG Agents, and USA Generals only.

The result was a burning planet and the fully sanitized head of the champion. Following this, the LSD was expanded with multiple "Splinters" focusing on different roles without any specializations.

Splinters:

The Claws

These individuals specialize in counter Assassination works. They either generalize in the ability to counter an average agent of all temples of the Assassinorum or specialize in countering even a master of a single particular temple. They all have various weapons and equipment meant to counter the Assassinorum.

All have received extensive hand to hand combat training and achieved mastery in a chosen weapon dependent on individual agents. The Elites of the group are known to be masters of hand to hand combat and rumors within the group says that the most elite of the elite have been able to beat even space marine chapter masters in hand to hand combat. Some, but not all, of the members of this splinter are worshipers of Khorne.

The Oracles

A Splinter made up of psychers and blanks. The Blanks, while many are reluctant to accept them, are to eliminate any psychic slaves the Imperium decides to send after Slawkenberg. Due to the Cloaks' low numbers, they are deployed as sparingly as possible, usually against a great demonic or psychic threat alongside the USA. Daggers are all trained personally under Jurgen himself, and are recruited from USA's most proven psychers.

The elites of this group are known to be able to perfectly hide their psychic abilities and blankness. However, all of them are genius tacticians, often planning the various operations of the LSG alongside USA generals and the council. As such, they are rarely sent on missions and most outside of the LSG don't even know that they are part of the Shadow Guard. Many, but not all, members are worshipers of Tzeentch.

The Whispers

A Splinter that specializes in taking out or turning machine spirits. All of them are members of the BORG that have been recruited as per Zerayah's request. They are known to have a particular rivalry with the Imperium's mechanicus, but are willing to steal tech from them.

Elites are often promoted to high positions in the BORG rather than remaining in the Shadow Guard. Those that do are almost never made into [REDACTED] but still pass on their experience. All are followers of the Machine God.

The Shadows

Ironically, the only force in the Shadow Guard that actually focuses on Assassinations. Each member is personally trained by Zerayah through what she inherently knew about Assassinations based on her biology. All members are skilled in all forms of assassinations but are incapable of mimicking the Imperium's assassins. Rather, each goes for a different approach depending on the target. Some agents view assassinations as a form of art and beauty and strive for a perfect take down of the target.

Elites have the closest resemblance to their master and leader in terms of combat prowess. Most prefer to hide in the shadows while others choose to instill fear in their enemies. Others are masters of psychological warfare and would rather stir up uprisings within Imperial Strongholds. Many members, but not all, are followers of Slaanesh.

Warning: The following section is only accessible by Liberation Council members, High ranking Magi of the BORG, the Liberator, and the Brothers, Sisters, and the Elder Sister of the Shadow Guard only. Unauthorized access is punishable by death.

The Brothers and Sisters:

Since the arrival of Zerayah, who was revealed to be the last child of the Legienstrasse, the BORG has been trying to implement her DNA into humans in order to make them more powerful, but still sane, controllable, and disciplined. The Implementation was thanks to studying World Eater Hektor's gene seed, so the BORG applied the same principle except with Zerayah as the gene mother. The result was the formation of what Zerayah calls her Brothers and Sisters.

As they share genetic code from her with Zerayah acting as effectively their "Primarch," she is called the Elder Sister, which has since become her code name. Those who were injected Zerayah's DNA were more powerful and excel at their tasks. Injection of the DNA is often a choice given to such members. Most accept the offer but those who don't are still highly capable individuals, but still keep the title of Brother or Sister. Brothers and Sisters come from all of the different Splinters and are often the elites within them.

They and the Elder Sister are only sent on the most important and sensitive of missions, under orders to not be captured at any costs, and not to mention Slawkenberg as to not draw attention to the Protectorate, under strict orders of Cain.
