Chapter 32: The Real Androids

As the group searched for Dr. Gero, a familiar energy signature approached at high speed. Future Trunks landed, his face grim and urgent.

"Goku! Kara! Everyone!" Trunks called, drawing their attention. "I came as fast as I could, but we have a huge problem."

"What is it?" Goku asked, his expression turning serious.

Trunks pointed toward the horizon, his voice filled with urgency. "The androids you fought—Android 19 and Dr. Gero—they aren't the ones from my timeline. The real androids are far more dangerous. If we don't stop Gero now, he'll activate them."

The group exchanged tense glances, realization sinking in. They hadn't won—this was just the beginning.

Using Trunks' knowledge, they located a hidden entrance deep in the mountains. Inside, they found themselves in a dark, metallic room, the air thick with the hum of machinery. Along the walls stood large capsules, each labeled with a number.

Two capsules stood out—Android 17 and Android 18.

"These are the ones," Trunks whispered, his fists clenching. "These are the monsters who destroyed my future."

Before anyone could react, a door slid open, revealing Dr. Gero. He smirked, his mechanical eye flashing red.

"You're too late," he sneered. His finger hovered over a control panel.

"No!" Trunks shouted, lunging forward, but Gero pressed the button.

The capsules hissed as they opened. Steam billowed out, revealing two figures—a young man with raven-black hair and a young woman with icy blue eyes.

Android 17 cracked his neck, looking around lazily. "Huh. So, this is what freedom feels like."

Android 18 glanced at the group, unimpressed. "Are we already being bothered?"

Gero began issuing orders, but Android 17 rolled his eyes. "You talk too much."

Then, without hesitation, he struck Gero through the chest, silencing him permanently.

The group barely had time to process the scene when 17 and 18 turned to a third capsule.

"Let's wake this one up too," 17 said, his smirk widening.

Trunks' eyes widened in horror. "No! Don't!"

The capsule hissed open. A massive, towering figure stepped out—Android 16, his stoic face unreadable.

Without warning, Android 17 and 18 locked eyes on Goku.

"You're the one Dr. Gero hated most," 18 said, her tone almost bored. "Let's see if you live up to the hype."

Then, they attacked.

But Goku was ready.

With a single step, he blurred out of sight.

The androids' attacks missed completely, their fists striking empty air. Before they could react—

BOOM!

Goku appeared behind 17 and launched a powerful kick, sending the android flying into the mountainside. The ground trembled from the impact.

Kara's eyes widened slightly.

He wasn't just keeping up.

He was winning.

17 burst from the rubble, wiping dust from his jacket. "Okay," he muttered. "Didn't see that coming."

Android 18 glanced at him. "We underestimated him. Let's not make that mistake again."

Their auras flared.

The air crackled with energy as both androids powered up to their maximum output. They weren't holding back anymore.

Then, with blinding speed, they launched a perfectly synchronized attack.

But it still wasn't enough.

Goku dodged every strike, weaving through their attacks with almost effortless precision. When 18 went for a spinning kick—Goku caught her leg mid-air and threw her into 17 with incredible force.

The two androids crashed together, tumbling across the ground.

"Is this really your full power?" Goku asked, his golden aura burning like an inferno. "Because if it is… then I'm disappointed."

Trunks watched, his heart pounding.

Goku wasn't just fighting the androids.

He was completely overpowering them.

Watching the battle, a painful thought crept into Trunks' mind.

"If Goku had survived in my timeline... if he had been there to guide us… maybe we could have won."

Without him, everything had crumbled.

His mother had described a world without hope. A world where the Z Fighters had fought desperately but without direction. One by one, they had fallen, and Trunks had been left alone to carry the burden.

"But here… they have him," Trunks thought, watching Goku knock 17 into the dirt with a devastating punch. "Here, he's giving them a chance."

For the first time, he truly understood what his mother meant when she said Goku was the heart of Earth's warriors.

Kara stood slightly apart from the others, arms crossed, watching intently.

Goku's movements were sharp, calculated, and devastating. This wasn't just raw power—this was skill, mastery, and experience.

Krillin nudged Piccolo. "Look at Kara. She's not even surprised. She's just... proud."

Piccolo glanced at her, noting the faint smirk playing on her lips.

"She knew he'd reach this level," Piccolo said. "They've been training together for years. She's seen it firsthand."

Kara's eyes glowed slightly as she whispered to herself,

"That's my Goku."

Even at full power, the androids were struggling.

17 and 18 exchanged a look. For the first time, doubt crept into their expressions.

Then, Android 16 stepped forward.

"You are powerful," he said. "More powerful than Dr. Gero calculated."

Goku's grin faltered slightly. There was something about 16's tone—a quiet certainty, a calm analysis of the battle.

Then, without warning, 16 lunged forward—his massive fist crashing toward Goku at blinding speed.

Goku barely dodged in time, his instincts screaming.

The fight was far from over.
