Chapter 78 Manticore

Haru was out in the middle of the night as he was driving down the road on his bike.
"Well, better see if theres anything to do."
He was out to see for any danger and he still has to get Ruby a present.
"How come her birthday is on Halloween, I always have to do double work."
He then heard a roar as he was near the edge of the city.
"That was no Grimm."
He can tell a Grimm from other things and this was not one.
He goes outside to check and looks around for the source.
"Now where could it-"
He was cut off as something flies over him and he got surprised. Haru looks to see a Manticore land and roars at him.
"A Manticore!"
It charges at him and he dodges it.
"Better transform." He uses a ring.
DRIVER ON!
He got the beast driver. "Henshin."
SET! OPEN! L-I-O-N, LION! (Lion roar)
He transforms into Beast and takes out his saber to fight against the Manticore as it attacks with it's claws.
"Oh man." He grunted.
The Manticore then bites him.
"Whoa!" He got swung around by it's mouth.
"Haru! Allow me!" Chimera said.
Beast then uses the ring.
CHIMARISE, GO!
A portal appeared as Chimera came out and hits the Manticore back.
"Now..." He said as Beast goes to his back. "Let us defeat it."
Beast nodded as they fly up with the Manticore chasing after them. They clashed many times in the sky, Chimera then bites against the Manticore making it roar in pain.
Then it flies around striking the Phantom from behind.
"Ugh, that won't beat me." He shoots many beams at the Manticore making it cry out in pain.
Then Chimera attacks it as the two went up to the sky clashing against many times.
"Haru, we must defeat him." Chimera said.
"Yeah!" Beast takes out his saber again.
He then charges it up as the two went above the clouds. They dive down towards the Manticore as it flies to them.
They glowed with Chimera roaring with them becoming a golden color.
They then striked the Manticore as it roars before exploding.
The duo landed down on the ground as theres a silence.
"Your really stubborn." Chimera said.
On the other side the Manticore crawls towards them bleeding.
"It's still not dead yet." Beast said.
"Of course, it won't die until it gets us. That's what these things are." Chimera said.
Manticore got up as it tries to snap it's bones back together refusing to die against them. It roars trying to challenge them many times.
"Let's end this." Beast said.
The duo charged at it as the monster does the same. They met in the middle before they did a attack doing to opposite ends.
A wing came out of the Manticore as it roars in pain but refuses to back down.
It lunges making Beast get knocked back as it tries to bite his head off but he holds it's jaws.
Chimera then knocks it away.
"You gotta respect it's determination." Chimera said.
The Manticore charges again but Beast slashes it's head off making it fall to the ground.
Chimera then blasted the body to ash. "Just in case they don't use it."
Chimera returns before Beast headed back to the city.
At the dorm.
Ruby was having a party with the girls there.
"Happy birthday Ruby." They said.
"Yeah it's my birthday, but where's Haru?" She asked.
Haru came through the door carrying gifts.
"What the Hell is that?" Yang said.
"Gifts for Ruby." He said.
Ruby got excited and takes them. "Thank you Haru!" She kisses his cheek.
He smiles at what she said.
Cindy and Berry were sitting on chairs as Berry wears a party hat.
"I thought we were trick or treating?" Cindy said.
"Later Cindy, we have a birthday." Yang sighs.
"Why did she have to be born in this day." Weiss frowns.
The kids wanted to go out trick or treating yet they have to wait for Ruby's party to end.
"Well let's enjoy our time. As we'll have a fun time after this." Haru said.
Ruby looks at him.
"No, Ruby you cannot ask for they're candy as a present I got you enough gifts to avoid that." He said.
She pouted hearing that.
"Cake?" Blake offers Cindy a piece.
"Yay!" She takes it.
"Hey I didn't blow the candles!" Ruby said.
"This is a second one! We knew you would devour it all." Weiss said.
"No I wouldn't." Ruby said.
"Yes you would!" The girls said.
Haru shrugs as it's another birthday and sings.

"Hey that's the kid version!" Ruby said making the others chuckled.
Haru chuckled too as he liked messing with Ruby.
"That's Ruby."
Cindy looks at the second cake. "Hey Ruby."
"Huh?" She looks.
Then she got the cake shoved into her face.
"Here's a taste." Cindy smiles.
Everyone elsed laughed seeing that.
"Now like that." Ruby still enjoyed the taste.
Note: The Halloween chapter as the Manticore from 2005 movie appearing to fight them while Haru had to go to another birthday for Ruby.
