Pit looked up to see this 8 foot and 9 inches tall man towering over him. The dark lord was a menacing figure, with his black and grey uniform that had the Omega Symbol at the center. The sheer size of the man was enough to intimidate most people, but the aura that radiated off of him was even more frightening. Darkseid was a force to be reckoned with and was not to be taken lightly.

And now, the Nintendo Multiverse would be introduced to his terror

"Who are you?" Pit asked, staring at the giant, getting back up and readying his weapons.

"Me?" Darkseid asked, smiling. "I am the ruler of all, the master of the cosmos, the God of the New Age, and the destroyer of universes. I am Darkseid. And you will bow before your new master."

Darkseid's eyes flashed with power as he spoke. "You are in my way, little boy," he said. "And I will not tolerate anyone who stands between me and my goal. You will be destroyed. Or enslaved. Choose wisely." He glared at the young man, his eyes filled with a sinister light.

Pit glared at Darkseid and gripped the Tiger Claws. He had seen the damage that this man had done and he was not going to let him do any more. He was going to fight him with all of his might.

"Sorry, but I'm not gonna let you take this place." Pit declared, his voice full of determination. "Sounds to me like you're the one in charge of this invasion! Where did you come from?! What is it that you want?"

Darkseid stared at the young angel, and his eyes narrowed. "You will watch your tone, boy. If you survive and live to be a servant of mine, you will receive your answers. But that has yet to be seen." Darkseid smiled, ready to take Pit down and get the treasures for himself.

Pit made the first move, lunging forward and slashing with his claws. Darkseid blocked the attack with his arm, the blades of Pit's weapon clanging against the God of Evil's arm. Pit tried to press the attack, but Darkseid pushed him away, sending him flying backwards. The force of which he threw Pit was unlike anything Pit has ever felt.

"Man!" Pit exclaimed, his wings fluttering as he tried to regain his balance. Darkseid was powerful, he had to give him that, and Pit knew that this was not going to be an easy battle. But he was not going to give up, and he was not going to let Darkseid take the treasure that was in the temple. He was going to fight with all of his strength.

Pit charged at Darkseid once more, going full force with the Tiger Claws as he yelled at the God of Evil. The young angel began an onslaught of rapid slashes at Darkseid's body, moving with the ferocity of a tiger, slashing at the dark lord's chest, sides, arms, and legs with incredible speed and precision.

His claws were like lightning, striking with power and accuracy that was unmatched. But the power of the tiger was not enough to stop the God of Evil. Darkseid was able to block and deflect the attacks, and the claws were unable to penetrate his skin.

"No way! Not even a bit of damage?!" Pit thought to himself, stunned by the lack of any damage being done to the God of Evil. "How can this be?! How is it that he is immune to such an attack?! What is he?!"

Pit's shock and confusion was interrupted as Darkseid, with a powerful blow from his fist, struck him in the chest, sending the young angel hurtling backwards and crashing into a nearby wall, causing a large amount of damage to the temple. Shockwaves of massive proportions rippled across the temple from that punch alone, showing the sheer power of Darkseid.

"GUAAAH!" Pit exclaimed as he felt the immense pain of the blow. It was unlike anything he had ever felt before. He could feel his bones rattle, and his muscles scream in agony. The pain was so intense that he could hardly move, and his body shook from the pain and the impact of the blow.

"Is that all, boy? How pitiful." Darkseid said, his voice dripping with disdain and mockery. "But the tenacity...I can see it within you. I am not one to squander potential. Submit to me, and you will be granted a great privilege. Serve me, and you will have power beyond your wildest imagination."

"I...I don't care what you think or what you offer. I'm not going to join you." Pit spat back. He was not going to give up. He was not going to let this man take away the people and the world he cared about. "I will not allow you to take away the home I love. Even if it means my own life, I will protect the Goddess of Light and this world from you!"

"Your loyalty is admirable, but it will be your downfall." Darkseid said, his voice cold and mocking. "I will see to it that you are eventually converted. For now, know fear." Darkseid's eyes would start glowing as he prepared to knock Pit out. He saw the potential and wanted Pit to be the first example of what he plans to do to this Multiverse.

Pit could barely move. He lacked the strength to do so at all, and it felt like his bones were broken. His body was in pain, his head was swimming, and his vision was blurry. But he still had fight in him. No matter how much pain he was in, no matter how hard the blow had hit him, he was still determined to protect his home, his Goddess, and his friends.

Alas, he just couldn't move.

Right as Darkseid was about to do it, something intercepted him. A bright flash of light blinded Darkseid, causing him to squint a bit and shield his eyes. The God of Evil growled in slight annoyance, turning to see the one responsible.

And there she was. Palutena, the Goddess of Light, holding a large, golden staff and shield.

"Lady Palutena!" Pit exclaimed. Palutena was a sight for sore eyes, her divine beauty radiating from her like a beacon of hope. Her green hair flowed down her back, and her eyes sparkled with wisdom and kindness.

She was a powerful goddess, and she was here to help her angelic protector. She had come to save Pit from the clutches of the evil god.

"Pit!" Palutena exclaimed. Never before has she seen Pit in such a state before. His immobile body, battered and bruised from the fight, causing her to gasp. She ran over to him and helped him up, her face filled with concern and worry. "Pit, are you okay?! Your body!"

"I'm okay, Lady Palutena. I'll live. But I can barely move." Pit said weakly. "I don't know what's happening to me." Pit said, feeling the pain of his wounds. Palutena, seeing her angel in such pain, helped him to a nearby wall, propping him against it. "I'll be alright." Pit said, trying to sound strong.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't be here earlier. If only I were, then maybe you wouldn't have to go through this." Palutena said, looking down at the ground. She then looked up and glared at the God of Evil. "You monster!"

"Monster? How dare you." Darkseid retorted. "I am a God. A God of Apokolips. You would be wise not to anger me any further." He stared down the Goddess of Light, his eyes filled with an unrelenting coldness and darkness.

"Why have you come here? Who even are you? God of Evil?"

"I am Darkseid." He announced. "Lord of Apokolips. I hail from a Multiverse, an existence outside of yours, and have traveled through many. I am here because your Multiverse is ripe for conquest, ripe for enslavement." the ruler of Apokolips said.

"You will find no conquest here, nor any enslavement." The goddess said, ready to battle. "You came all the way from your own existence just to conquer our own? Ridiculous. You're not even supposed to be here. If that is your goal, then we will stand in your way, and will do anything it takes to defeat you. You will fall here. You will not enslave this Multiverse and we won't let you take what belongs to us! You're not the first to try!"

"How quaint," Darkseid responded. Do you truly believe your divinity will shield you from my will? You stand before the ruler of Apokolips, the bringer of order to chaos. Your realm, your power, your very existence—it is all beneath me." His eyes glowed with power as he continued to speak. "I have come here to conquer this realm, and I will not be deterred by some petty goddess who believes she is above me. You and your angel are nothing compared to the power of Darkseid." His eyes burned with an intense hatred as he continued. "Now, bow before me and accept the fate you have brought upon yourselves." His voice was cold and commanding, his presence overwhelming.

"You come here...terrorize the hums and Skyworld and declare yourself to eventually rule? Some nerve. Not even Medusa or Hades had that amount of arrogance. But you will learn that we don't bow down so easily."

She retorted. Palutena readied her weapons and staff, the goddess was about to show this God of Evil exactly what she was made of. "I will protect the humans and my angel and this Multiverse from the likes of you. And when I do, you'll rue the day you came to our Multiverse!"

"Protect your humans? Foolish Goddess. As we speak, your precious humans are already being taken to become servants of Darkseid." He smirked, causing Palutena to gasp. The Goddess loved humans, going through great lengths to keep them safe from harm and provide aid in anyway. Knowing they were already being captured and taken away caused her heart to sink.

And he was right. Many humans were being snatched by Parademons, whether on Skyworld or even in cities, and being dragged away, screaming for their lives.

"NOOO!" One woman cried out as a Parademon grabbed her and flew up, carrying her. She struggled in his grasp, her arms flailing and her feet kicking, trying to break free, but the creature's grip was too strong, too tight, and she was helpless, unable to do anything.

Another person, a young boy, was snatched by a different Parademon. He tried to run away, but the beast caught him and picked him up. He screamed and cried out in fear as he was taken away, his body trembling in fear.

The people were in a panic, their hearts racing, and their minds filled with terror, and the streets of the city were filled with chaos and destruction. Some people tried to fight back, some tried to hide, but it was no use, as the beasts were relentless in their attack.

People screamed and ran in all directions, trying to find safety, but the Parademons were relentless. They swooped down from the sky, grabbing people and taking them away. Many were injured, some badly, as the creatures attacked with no mercy.

The buildings burned and collapsed in a pile of rubble and ashes. The sky was blackened by smoke, and the smell of burning flesh and metal hung heavy in the air. Screams and cries of terror could be heard from everywhere. It was a nightmarish scene, one that would haunt the memories of those who were lucky enough to escape alive. This was a day that the humans would never forget.

"Bahahaha!" Kalibak had won his battle, holding up Magnus high above his head. He could feel the blood and the adrenaline pumping through his veins, his heart pounding in his ears, and the rush of victory coursing through his body.

He had defeated his enemy and had won the battle, and he was going to savor the moment. The mercenary, despite the brutal beatdown and the humiliating display, was still conscious. Though, his consciousness was wavering, his body in pain and his mind in a haze, and the last thing he remembered was the laughter of the New God.

He was beaten, battered, and bruised. He had no chance of surviving, no way of fighting back. Yet, he wasn't dead yet. His will to live was still strong, and he refused to give up, even though the odds were stacked against him.

"Haha. You put on quite a show, for a human." the brute mocked, his grip tightening, squeezing the neck of his prey, making the man struggle, making him choke and gasp and cough. "You managed to inflict some damage, that is true. You were fun. But unfortunately, you're not a match for me, the son of Darkseid."

Magnus's vision started to darken. His eyes rolled back and his breathing slowed. He was in a state of shock, and he could feel his consciousness slipping away.

Then, the next thing that happened was unexpected. A Badoot had crashed into Kalibak, using their electric tether to zap and electrocute the Son of the God of Evil. Causing the New God to release the Mercenary. This allowed Magnus to breathe and to recover from his near-death experience. He was grateful for the rescue and the opportunity to continue the fight. He was determined to not let his opponent get the best of him.

He turned to see that his rescuer was Viridi. She had arrived on the scene and had used the powers of nature to intervene, summoning her Forces of Nature army to assist the human in his plight, and to take the New God out of the equation.

"Look at you, Magnus. Here I thought you couldn't ever be muscled out." Viridi spoke, having her whole army by her side. From Phosphora the Lightning Flash to a plethora of Forces of Nature Guards. She was ready to help out, and to make a difference in the ongoing battle. Ready to join in on the conflict, and to make sure that the New God would not succeed in his goals.

"Are you alright? You look worse than you've ever been." Phosphora flew over to the large warrior. She was surprised at the sight. Magnus, a tall, powerful figure, usually stood tall and proud, a tower of strength. Yet now, he was hunched over, panting heavily and clutching his side in pain. She was shocked at the sight of the man, usually so composed, reduced to such a pitiful state.

"Ngh..." He was helped up by Phosphora while grunting, clearly unable to continue from this point onwards.

"Honestly! You invaders ruined everything! Palutena invited me up here today to enjoy the sights, the sounds, and the upcoming festival! I've never had a proper outing before, so to have my fun ruined like this is an outrage!" Viridi shouted, crossing her arms and stomping her feet. Her fury at these outsiders was growing, her rage at their interruption of her rare moment of joy boiling to the surface. "Now I'm going to make you all pay dearly."

She declared, a sinister smile forming on her face, her fists clenched and her knuckles whitened. The forces of the earth and the skies were hers to command, and she was not going to take their disruption lightly. The newcomers were going to suffer for their transgressions, and their suffering would be great indeed. Viridi was determined to exact revenge and teach the invaders a lesson they would never forget.

"Hm! A mere child aims to stop the Mighty Kalibak and his father's forces?" Kalibak taunted Viridi, causing her to gasp, her face twisted in a mask of rage and humiliation, her cheeks flushed in a rosy hue. She balled her fists tightly and glared at him, her emerald eyes flashing in a mix of anger and embarrassment.

"Child?! Child!? Why, I'll show you who's a child, and it's certainly not ME!" Viridi exclaimed with visible rage, pointing at Kalibak and ordering her Forces of Nature to attack him and the Parademons. "Get him!"

"Crush them, Parademons!" Kalibak pointed at them, prompting the Parademons to advance against the many Forces of Nature warriors, and the battle ensued. There were blasts and bolts of lightning and other energy blasts that shot across the sky as the two forces clashed. Blades clashing, arrows and roots flying, and bodies hitting the ground.

The Parademons had to deal with the Mudrone and the Bladers on the frontlines, but that didn't matter. They had to endure the attacks of the Nutskis, the Parashooters, the Mahva, and more.

Kalibak, meanwhile, had his Beta Club charged and was about to slam it down. Until, from the sky, a flash of yellow would crash into him, the force of which being strong enough to move someone as bulky as him. It was Phosphora, and she wasn't playing around. She was angry, her eyes blazing with a fire of her own.

"Get lost and return to your own universe! Wherever you came from!" Phosphora zoomed at speeds faster than light, emitting lightning from her hands. With the blinding speed and her natural agility, she was dodging the punches and kicks of Kalibak. Kalibak, the mighty son of Darkseid, was not one to be trifled with. But he underestimated the abilities of the Lightning Flash.

But Kalibak wasn't all that slow. He could still follow her movements with his eyes. "You're fast, aren't ya? That doesn't mean anything to me!"

He would punch and miss, swipe and miss, grab and fail, kick and strike the air. Phosphora's agility was too much. She was a blur, a streak of yellow and white lightning, her form barely discernible to the eye. She was able to avoid his strikes, and then counter-attack with a flurry of her own.

"He's so durable!" Phosphora would witness how her attacks weren't doing any significant damage to Kalibak at all. She was starting to see how Magnus struggled so much in his battle. These beings were tough, far stronger and tougher than any of the enemies she has fought before. "Just what are these guys..!"

"Nimble little thing!" The New God declared, slamming his Beta Club to the floor, sending out a massive shockwave. While that did catch Phosphora and sent her skidding back, that wasn't gonna stop the speedy commander. Once more, she took the fight to him.

In her hands, she emitted as much lightning as she could. The amount of voltage that would be produced was unlike any that Kalibak has seen or felt before. In the blink of an eye, Phosphora would disappear, leaving a trail of electricity in her wake. She moved and dodged the swings and punches of Kalibak, her body a blur of movement and her form seemingly untouchable.

Kalibak was in a state of shock and confusion. His foe had suddenly vanished and was nowhere to be seen, and the trail of electricity left behind was a mystery to him. But before he could figure it out, Phosphora reappeared behind him, a bright burst of lightning in her hands, ready to strike.

With a strong jolt of electricity, and a swift motion, Phosphora unleashed a massive bolt of pure electrical energy that shot forth from her hands, striking the New God and shocking him, his body jerking and convulsing from the immense voltage that coursed through him.

His muscles twitched, his eyes bulged, and his teeth gritted, the force of the electricity coursing through his body and sending him tumbling, his limbs and joints spasming uncontrollably as the current ravaged his frame.

"Graaaaargh!" He cried out loudly as Phosphora continued to pour on the pressure, her expression stern and serious. She saw that despite all that lightning pouring into him, Kalibak was still withstanding it, causing her to pour more and more power.

"Come on...!" Phosphora grunted.

"Hrrrrghh...!" Kalibak bared his teeth, impressed by the raw power of lightning that Phosphora generated. For it to do this much to him was truly impressive. However, despite all that lightning, Kalibak was starting to power through it, to push forward and approach Phosphora, his body tensed, his muscles bulging, and his veins popping from the effort.

"He's pushing through?!"

"You will be a worthy slave to Darkseid, little one!" Kalibak reached out, his fingers stretching, grasping, and reaching for the throat of the Lightning Flash. Despite the onslaught of lightning, he managed to maintain his focus.

And from his Beta Club, he unleashed a beam. A nerve beam. The beam travelled through the lightning and would blast the female in the head blasting her back.

"GAAH!" She screamed in agony and pain, the sheer intensity and the strength of the beam, and the sheer volume of the scream that was forced out of her lungs, caused a shiver to go up Kalibak's spine. A pleasurable, enjoyable shiver, a tingle that spread from the base of his spine and to the tip of his skull. Her cry of anguish was music to his ears. It was a sign of the victory, the sweet sound of defeat, that brought a smile of satisfaction to his lips, a sense of pleasure to his soul, and a surge of delight to his heart.

Phosphora, on the other hand, was not enjoying this moment of triumph, her body aching and trembling, her chest heaving and her breath coming in short, shallow pants. Never before has she felt pain like this. It was otherworldly. "W-What is this?!"

"My Nerve Beams from my Beta Club can induce horrific pain onto those who are unfortunate to receive them." Kalibak said. He enjoyed the reaction of his adversary.

"GH! GAAAH! AGH!" It was horrible for Phosphora. Alas, there was nothing she could do about this pain. All she could do was writhe and squirm there, powerless.

"Be thankful. You will live. Your power has proven itself worthy enough to serve the will of my Father. Now sleep." He raised his club high, going for the knockout blow to Phosphora, and then another was blasted right into him. An arrow of darkness. It exploded on him, sending the brute skidding, forcing him to turn to his new attacker, and he saw that his next target was Pit.

At least, it looked like Pit. But not quite.

It was Dark Pit.

"Phosphora!" Dark Pit flew over to his ally, swooping down to pick her up. "Phosphora! Are you alright!"

"NGH! GHHH!" She couldn't even find the words. Just the pained groans. Dark Pit narrowed his eyes at Kalibak, looking to the brute. He was angry. Furious at the pain and torture that his fellow Commander was put through.

"You're lucky. Any longer and you would have died from the excruciating pain. This boy's arrival saved your life." Kalibak would look to the two. Dark Pit, after placing the aching and agonizing Phosphora down, turned to face the brute, a fierce determination in his dark, brooding gaze, and his body tense and ready for battle, his stance powerful and his wings flexed. He was ready to take on the challenge. To stand against the God of Evil and the might of his forces, and to protect his allies from further harm.

"I don't know who you are, but I'm sending you and your freakshow back."

"Heh. Bold words, boy. Bold words." Kalibak laughed, smirking at Dark Pit's bravado, his confidence, his determination. As Phosphora continued to squirm, Kalibak's laughter was followed by the cries of the Parademons, who just seemed to keep on coming. Never before has such an invasion force been seen. And they were here. Invading Skyworld and Earth, to take over and enslave. Such a thought angered Dark Pit.

As a majority of the invasion occurred outside, within the temple itself, the face-off between Darkseid and Palutena would intensify. Both were glaring, their eyes locked and their expressions hard. Pit was about to witness a clash between these two godly figures, putting all his faith into Palutena to come on top.

"You will watch carefully, Goddess of Light. As everything in your existence will soon belong to Darkseid. Whether out of reach, nothing is impossible for me to claim. All Life in the universe shall belong to Darkseid."

"You think yourself some owner of everything? Owner of all of creation, of all of existence?" She was not amused. "How pathetic. Someone of your level, claiming ownership to things beyond their grasp." she mocked. "I don't even think the worst punishment we have here will be enough for you, Conqueror."

"Hm." Darkseid smiled. "Then, try not to perish, before Darkseid subjagates you." Darkseid would be the one to make the first move, his eyes glowing a menacing red. That meant only one thing.

His Omega Beams were here.

From his eyes, outstandingly powerful beams of concussive energy was released. It was a devastating attack, capable of destroying almost any material, organic or inorganic, upon impact, unleashing the fury and the wrath of the ruler of Apokolips, the Lord of the New Gods. The goddess, sensing the instant danger and the impending doom, acted swiftly.

She leapt to the side, her reflexes sharp, her agility and grace unparalleled, the speed and the fluidity of her movement, as graceful and fluid as a butterfly flitting from flower to flower, her robes flowing in the wind, her hair billowing behind her. She twirled and spun, avoiding the deadly Omega Beam.

However, to her shock, it was more than just a regular beam of destruction. No, this was something else. These were no ordinary blasts, as they had a homing effect, and were tracking her every movement, following her every step, their destructive energies relentless.

"What?!" Palutena had never seen such precision on beams in her life. The way they turned was immaculate, showing no imperfection whatsoever. And the speed they moved at was managing to keep with her. No projectile was ever able to do that, not to the Goddess of Light herself.

So, she had to reflect it instead of dodging it. Palutena swerved her body, activating her Reflect Barrier and blocking the beam. It was a sight to behold, the beam of pure power, the energy crackling, and the heat and intensity radiating from it, as it was reflected back at the God of Evil, the beam rebounding, and ricocheting, the force and the momentum of the attack being sent right back at him. However, Darkseid simply swatted it away, ending the beam's activity.

"What was that...?!" Pit couldn't believe hat he had seen from that beam.

"Explosive Flame!" Palutena would try and play on the offensive, holding out her staff as she set off a fierce explosion a distance away from Darkseid, causing a large amount of destruction to the area surrounding him. Darkseid would shield himself from the flames, raising one arm to do so, his eyes fixed on the Goddess, and his brow furrowed, his focus unwavering.

"Hmph. Impressive." the dark lord was actually complimenting his enemy. His opponent, the one who stood against him, was a formidable foe. But the God of Evil was not deterred, not shaken. He was determined to prove his dominance, and his will, his desire to conquer and subjugate, would not be denied.

Darkseid would advance towards her while his arms were still behind his back, moving faster than expected and in front of the Goddess, slamming his foot down.

It would create a shockwave that was similar to an earthquake in magnitude, and the room shook and vibrated, the marble floors cracking and breaking, and the walls shuddering and shaking. The force of the quake was tremendous, the power of the shockwave reverberating and rippling through the air.

Pit would scream, being caught up in this tremendous earthquake and struggling to maintain his footing, and the tremors were causing the young angel to lose his balance. "Agh! Lady Palutena!" Pit shouted. He could barely hear his own voice over the din of the earthquake and the crashing, shattering and crumbling of the marble around him.

"Pit!" Palutena screamed out, taking flight to avoid the tremors and the falling rubble. Quickly, she would retaliate, creating powerful winds from her staff. Darkseid, the God of Evil, was no stranger to the power of the wind, the fury of nature, and its destructive force.

He would clap his hands together, generating his own wind that would overpower the ones of the goddess. She couldn't believe her eyes, watching as her attack was defeated in the blink of an eye, the God of Evil standing there, the master of his own destiny, the conqueror and destroyer of worlds.

With one hand out, Darkseid would generate an orb of deep red energy, throwing it at the Goddess of Light. Despite the fact that Palutena had her Reflect Barrier active, it would not stop the sphere of dark energy, and she was knocked back, her body flying and her hair fluttering, a grunt of pain escaping her lips.

"Hm." Darkseid smirked, ascending into the air and bringing himself down. He intended to stomp on Palutena while she was down. Palutena grimaced, narrowly using her warp to get out of the way of the massive man's giant boot, a cloud of dust and debris erupting from the ground, her body disappearing from view, and the impact of the god's boot creating a shockwave that rippled across the ground.

After warping away, Palutena brought down a strike of lightning onto Darkseid, hoping that this would slow the tyrannical god down. But to her surprise, it did not. Darkseid merely shrugged off the bolt of electricity that hit his shoulder, and then glared at the Goddess of Light with a smile. Darkseid would unleash his Omega Beams at the goddess once more. Palutena, in turn, used her shield to reflect it once more. That was the best she could do against such a terrifying attack.

From her fingernails, she generated flames, and hurled fireballs at him. The ire balls were rather intense, crashing into Darkseid and combusting against his body, and the fires that engulfed him burned fiercely and brightly, the heat of the blaze and the roar of the flames filling the space. Darkseid was momentarily staggered.

"Hhhrr...!" Palutena grit her teeth while increasing the ferocity of the flames, attempting to overwhelm Darkseid and end his existence, the fires burning hotter and brighter, their tongues of flame reaching and licking at the walls and ceiling. But alas, Darkseid would rise above the fire, managing to power through it.

"Just what is he?!"

"Beyond you." Darkseid replied, flying towards Palutena. The Goddess of Light clenched her teeth, releasing a homing sphere of energy. A bright and shining light. A sphere that would chase Darkseid and pursue him relentlessly.

Alas, it wasn't enough, and Darkseid would catch her by the neck and choke the goddess. The grip of the dark ruler's hands was firm, his fingers wrapped around her neck, squeezing the breath from her. She gasped and struggled, her feet kicking and her eyes bulging.

"I am going to show you fear in a handful of dust." Darkseid's grip tightened on the Goddess, and she could feel the pressure on her neck, her throat constricted and the blood vessels in her head pounding, her eyes rolling in her head, the darkness closing in on her vision, and the light in her face growing fainter. The ruler's hold was strong, his fingers pressing in on her flesh, her body writhing in his grip. She was powerless, defenseless. Her strength, her power, her divine might was nothing before him.

"L-Lady Palutena!" Pit cried out, wishing he could do something, but his body was still badly harmed from Darkseid's single blow.

"You will serve me, Goddess of Light. As will all those in your existence. You will be the first example of my eventual conquest."

"I...I refuse...I won't let that happen!" But Palutena still had the drive to keep going. From her body, she released a stupendously blinding light. One so bright that it would even blind Darkseid and his eyes of Omega.

"Gagh!" With his hands over his face, the tyrant would roar loudly, the sheer intensity of the brightness, the luminosity and the radiance, was so great, that his entire being seemed to be bathed in the glow of the illumination. Even Pit, despite the immense distance, had to shield his own eyes from the intense shine, the radiance of the light and the brilliance of the glow was too much to bear.

With this moment of freedom, Palutena would push back Darkseid with a massive beam from her staff, the power of the attack was staggering and overwhelming, and the beam of light that emanated from the staff was so bright, that the whole temple would be illuminated in its light. Darkseid flew back as Palutena finally managed to do something somewhat significant to him, the God of Evil landing on his feet and sliding back, leaving a trail of sparks and debris behind him.

"Ha...ha..." Palutena would pant, the use of that technique had put a strain on the goddess, the exhaustion evident in her heavy breaths. But it also came from the amount of damage she had taken. Palutena has never appeared so vulnerable before, her robes torn, her hair disheveled, and her skin bruised and battered. It was a far cry from the usually composed, and serene figure of the goddess. "I'm running low on fumes here..At this rate, I'll defeat my self from expending so much. I need to finish him off as soon as possible."

"Mmrgh..." Darkseid grumbled, shaking his head from the counterattack Palutena unleashed.

Palutena had to put her all into this next attack. At least a way to cripple Darkseid. As long as he was restrained or damaged in any way shape or form, she believed that there was a fighting chance against these invaders.

"Watch this!" Her eyes would glint as she flew higher into the air. Palutena put all of her might into her staff, a tremendous amount of divine power surging within it, the aura of her power emanating from her in a brilliant, radiant and powerful display, the light of her power shining like the sun itself, and her eyes and her hair and her robe and her wings, all of them were glowing, shimmering, and glistening.

Pit and Darkseid looked up, with the former knowing what was coming next.

"Black Hole!" Palutena would slam the end of her staff to the floor, the ground and the world beneath her trembling and shuddering, and the air around her vibrating, the space and time distorting, a portal of black, inky, and infinite abyss was opening.

And from this black hole, came the pull of the void, and anything and anyone unfortunate enough to be within the range of the suction, would be pulled in, their bodies and their forms, twisted and contorted, their limbs and their bones, and their souls and their minds, were sucked into the abyss and swallowed by the darkness.

"Hmmm!" Darkseid growled, having to plant his feet firmly to the ground, his stance the same with his arms behind his back. To the shock of even Pit, Darkseid could resist the pull of the Black Hole.

"And finally...Mega Laser!" But the Black Hole was simply a way to keep Darkseid steady. The full crux of the attack came from the Mega Laser. Palutena's staff was pointed directly at the God of Evil. From her mighty staff, the beam that was shot forth was of the brightest and most dazzling. Darkseid looked up, promptly firing his Omega Beams at the Mega Laser. There was a brief stalemate between the two as a clash of light and shadow, a battle between the powers of creation and destruction, the forces of life and death.

The blackhole kept sucking in the Parademons, specifically ignoring all those on Palutena's side and only targeting the enemies. Anyone that wasn't from her universe. This was a last ditch effort from the goddess, to remove and banish these invaders from the multiverse, and to protect the ones who called the Nintendo Universe their home, and the ones whom she loved and cherished.

The clash of the beams was intense and powerful, the vibrations of the collision, and the thunder of the blast and the flash of the rays, the light of the energy and the force of the power, and the sound and the fury, was deafening and overwhelming, the room quaked and trembled.

However, Darkseid's attack would overcome the Mega Laser, the Omega Beams burning through and racing towards Palutena. The Goddess of Light gasped as she was struck by the Omega Beams, the pain of the blast, and the searing, scorching and blistering agony, and the heat and the fire, the flames of the inferno and the torment of the hellfire.

Her screams of anguish echoed throughout the room, a piercing, and heart-wrenching wail that would pierce the ears of anyone listening.

Due to this, the Black Hole would collapse, combusting around the area as a chaotic light enveloped everything. The entire temple was enveloped in a blinding and incandescent light, the whole place was filled with constant of sounds and explosions.

The explosion travelled even further, moving across the rest of Skyworld. Viridi, Dark Pit and everyone looked over at the incoming light. It was so intense, and the force of it, and the impact and the devastation, was beyond anything they had ever seen.

And the outcome of this entire invasion would soon be revealed.
