(Sanctuary III)
The large ship came upon the large, red, dusty planet of mars after using a mass relay to hit faster than light travel.
"This is where they have a casino?" Naruto asked as he looked at the planet not impressed as all he saw was barren wasteland and what looked like a dome for what little life that lived on the terraformed planet
"Actually the casino orbits Mars. The planet's pretty barren otherwise due to being a preservation sight of some prothean ruins." Rocket explained punching in a few buttons at the control panel
"Who runs the casino?" Naruto asked Rocket figuring he was the one to ask
"A well respected businessman" Rocket said with a flat tone
"So a crime boss, got it" Jack said with a scoff
"Regardless, no one do anything to cause a scene. Moxxi any outstanding bounties here that you know of?" Naruto asked his information gatherer
"None that I know of darling but here" Moxxi said as she held out a pair of sunglasses to Naruto
"Uh I'm not one to wear these" Naruto said as he inspected the sunglasses
"They will fit you well. Trust me" Moxxi said with a smile at Naruto
Naruto hesitantly put on the sunglasses and saw a screen pop up immediately scanning Moxxi's face
"Mad Moxxi: bounty of 50,000 credits on Pandora?" Naruto asked
"Only 50,000? I could've sworn it was higher" Moxxi said with a shrug
"Remind me to ask what you did" Naruto said to her as he took off the sunglasses and put them away
"You sure that's a good idea?" Rocket asked curiously
"I am Groot" Groot said as he looked worried
"Nah if it was the incident with that psycho named Jackal it'd be way higher. We're talking 200,000 credits" Rocket said
"Anyway let's decide on who is going with me to the casi-" Naruto was saying before he was cut off
"Let's go get shit/ brick faced!" Tina and Claptrap yelled together as they entered the room
"Oh hell no!!/I am Groot!!" Rocket, Jack, and Groot yelled immediately
"... alright who votes on Tina and Claptrap staying with the ship?" Naruto asked
"Aye!" Jack, Moxxi, and Rocket yelled, raising their hands along with Groot.
"Oh come on!" Tina yelled as she stomped her foot in frustration at this
"I invoke my veto powers!" claptrap yelled as he waved his arms
"Tina can we trust you not to blow up the casino?" Naruto asked curiously ignoring claptrap as Peebee tazed him with a shock baton
"…….no but I'm bored! I have been in this ship too long! I want to have fun!" Tina Complained
"I can't believe I'm gonna do this… Peebee, will you go with Tina and watch her so she can have some fun at the casino?" Naruto asked
"Yeah sure this gets me Hazard pay right?" Peebee asked curiously
"Yeah you get hazard pay and one free drink from Moxxi" Naruto said as he nodded
"Yay!" Tina yelled before she hugged Naruto
"... we're all gonna die" Rocket said flatly as this was a terrible idea
"Oh relax I can trust Tina to pull back a bit" Naruto said as he let Tina hug him
"... I am Groot?" Groot asked Rocket
"If he really believes that we're screwed" Rocket said
"I can behave trash panda!" Tina yelled as she looked at Rocket annoyed
"Trash panda? What's a trash panda?" Rocket asked
"It's worse than being called a racoon" Jack said with a snicker making Rocket growl at Tina
"Alright before things get crazy. Who's willing to watch over Claptrap?" Naruto asked getting silence "Cortana, please keep him here." Naruto requested of the AI
"Acknowledged captain" Cortana said as her holographic body appeared in the room
"God whoever made you was so thirsty for thicc bitches" Tina said with a grin and a giggle
"I do not know who created me unfortunately. It is not within my files" Cortana said with a monotone voice
"Well that doesn't matter all you need to know is that your one of us Cortana" Naruto said with a smile at the AI
"Thank you Captain" Cortana said with her holographic image smiling before it went away
"Alright. Since Cortana and Claptrap are staying here we should be good for heading out. Unless someone wants to stay as extra security" Naruto said
"I am Groot" Groot said as he shook his head
"I'll stay too but I'm a call away if you need back-up darling." Moxxi said as she walked out of the room with a sway in her hips for Naruto to watch
"You done ogling the slut?" Jack asked flatly as she led the way out of the Bridge
"Hey I ogle you too ya know" Naruto with a teasing grin as they all followed Jack
Jack scoffed at this but slightly smirked at this
"No fair! I want you to ogle me too!" Tina yelled as she pouted at this
"He does. He won't stop staring at your ass or my tits. Right captain?" Peebee asked with a smirk
….no comment" Naruto said after a few moments of silence
"Oooooo you wanna take a crack at this ass whiskers?" Tina asked with a bright grin before she smacked her own ass for emphasis making it jiggle a little
"... is there a good answer here?" Naruto asked his crew
"It's Tina probably not" Rocket said flatly
"I can tell you want me, whiskers. We can
Play in your room later" Tina said with a mischievous giggle as she skipped ahead of everyone to the pod ship which would take them to the casino orbiting around Mars
"... how screwed am I?" Naruto asked his crew
"Very. You shouldn't let her access any of your holes" Jack said flatly to their captain
"... let's just go to the casino" Naruto sighed. Resigned to his fate.
(Casino penthouse)
In a penthouse, located at the very top of the famous mars casino, the woman named Valentine was sitting on a couch in front of a desk of the owner of the casino Gordon a criminal casino owner. Handcuffed to the chair.
"Well now Miss Valentine. Of all the people I was expecting to see on Mars, you weren't one of them. Especially with your level of debt." Gordon said as he took a sip out of a wine glass
"Yeah well your men didn't exactly give me a choice in the matter. I was perfectly fine with stopping on the planet and leaving till they came along" Valentine said with a glare
"Ooh such a fierce glare from the notorious Faye Valentine. It sends shivers down my spine" Gordon said smugly
Faye scoffed at this "What do you want?
You obviously want something from me so let's hear it." Faye said wanting to cut to the chase
"I want you to help me procure a poker chip from an associate of mine. You bring it to me and I'll be more than happy to wipe all your massive debts clean for you." Gordon said
"... what's so special about this chip?" Faye asked curiously
"All's you need to know is that I need it. Pretty ladies like you don't need to ask so many questions" Gordon told her
Faye said nothing to this before she nodded as she definitely wasn't gonna ask questions if it meant a chance to wipe her debt clean.
"Good you will be working tonight as a blackjack dealer in my casino, my associate has a distinct look. Spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, and tall, he will sit down to play and you will use your talents to make sure he loses and when he has one chip left he will tip it to you, you bring the chip he tips you to me and we have a deal " Gordon told her
Faye raised an eyebrow at this finding this way too easy but she wasn't gonna complain "very well. I agree." She said Making Gordon smile before he walked over and uncuffed her
"I'll be watching" Gordon told her firmly
Faye said nothing to this as that was obvious seeing as he owned the place before she headed for the elevator
(later with Naruto)
Naruto and Rocket walked into the casino and looked around
"Alright if you're looking for bounties you should hit up the tables. Scumbags are always looking to gamble. I'm gonna go hit up the roulette wheels" Rocket said as he walked off
"Don't pick pocket people were bounty hunters not thieves" Naruto told him
"What if I pickpocket criminals?" Rocket asked with a grin
"……since when are you a philosopher?" Naruto asked as he had no response for this
"Philosophy? Fuck that I want their shit" Rocket scoffed at this
"look only steal if they are criminals and don't be obvious" Naruto whispered to his pilot
"Oh please I Ain't gonna make a spectacle of Myself. You have Tina for that" Rocket said
"Speaking of which, where did she and Peebee go?" Naruto asked
Before Rocket could respond they heard a crash nearby and they both looked at the nearby buffet where Tina and Peebee were
"Tina get off the table!" Peebee yelled at her friend
"No! All you mother fuckers can eat my ass!!" Tina yelled, flipping everyone off "no meat lovers pizza is bullshit!" She yelled in a rage
"Tina, they have other types of pizza on the other table!" Peebee told her
"... oh….. okay!" Tina said before hopping off the table and skipping away
"Free advice get some meat lovers pizza out here ASAP" Peebee said to the chef working the buffet who had taken cover under before she handed him some credits. The chef nodded before running into the back of the kitchen to make as many meat lovers pizzas as possible.
"... if anyone asks we don't know them" Rocket said deadpan
"Smartest one here" Naruto said as he nodded and walked towards a nearby table for blackjack
"Huh figured you more for poker whiskers" Jack said with a martini in her hand
"Well my bachan taught me blackjack back in the old days" Naruto said as he took a seat in next to Jack in front of Faye's table where she was wearing a dealer's uniform instead of her regular outfit
Faye looked at Naruto and took note of his features 'blonde hair, blue eyes, tall. Checks all boxes' she thought preparing to scam him like Gordon ordered
Naruto threw some chips on the table "deal me in" he said. Faye nodded as she dealt him a king of hearts and 3 of clubs. "I like my luck. Hit me" Naruto said
Faye mentally smirked as she used sleight of hand to pull a card out a deck she had hidden under the table giving Naruto a queen of hearts
"23 bust" Faye said simply
Naruto blinked at this as Faye took his chips. He shrugged "Can't win em all. Deal me in again" Naruto said throwing some more chips down
A few hands later and more sleight of hands later and Naruto had lost all but one of his chips
Naruto looked at the last chip in his hand while Jack glared at Faye who looked slightly smug as she held out her hand expectantly
"Hey what are you trying to pull, You scam artist?" Jack asked with a glare at Faye
"Scam artist? How dare you insinuate such a thing!" Faye yelled acting appalled. We are a legitimate business here!"
"So explain the second deck under your desk" Jack said with a glare as her hands glowed slightly
"Woah! OK let's just leave Jack" Naruto said as he grabbed Jack's shoulder and led her away from the table
"H-hey! Wait a minute!" Faye yelled as she went after Naruto
As Naruto pulled Jack along a tall, skinny looking man with blonde hair and blue eyes bumped into him before he fell to the ground dropping a poker chip which fell into Naruto's pocket while Naruto dropped his own chip
"Hey watch where you're going man" the other blonde guy said as he grabbed the chip on the ground, stood up, and ran off to a table
As he ran he passed Faye who ran up to Naruto "hey! Give me that chip will you?" she said to Naruto
"Huh? Why do you want one poker chip?" Naruto asked confused
"Don't get smart, just hand it over" Faye told him with a annoyed look on her face
"Ok Fine if it'll let us go without incident you can have it…… um where is it?" Naruto asked as he looked on the floor "it was just in my hand"
"Are you kidding me?" Faye asked with a confused look on her face
"What's your deal?" Jack asked with a suspicious tone as she glared at Faye
Before Faye could respond she spotted some of Gordon's men approaching them "forget it I'm out of here!" she said before she ran off
"What the hell's going on here?" Jack asked genuinely confused and irritated at this whole thing
"I have no idea. Maybe these casino security guys can tell us what's happening" Naruto said seeing the security staff approaching them "excuse me guys maybe you can enlighten us with what's happening"
"Blonde, blue eyes, and tall. This is him. We're bringing you in" one of the security personnel said
"Uh what for?" Naruto asked curiously
The response he got was for one of the men to slug him in the face
"Ow fuck! What the hell is your face made of" the human man asked as his wrist snapped from the punch he delivered
"Bad move" Jack growled as her hands glowed and sent the man flying into a slot machine. Breaking it and spilling out coins on the floor.
"Ok I've had enough of this crap. I demand to speak to the owner" Naruto said with a scowl before another security guard tried to tackle him only for Naruto to sidestep him and grab the man by the back of his head and slam him face first into the floor. Knocking the man out.
As the fight started nearby at the buffet Peebee was sitting at her table sighing as she watched Tina argue with the server
"How the fuck is one slice of cheesecake a serving?!" Tina demanded
"Miss that is half a cheesecake" the server said with a nervous look on his face
"This is a serving for me Frenchy!" Tina yelled
Peebee sighed at this before she noticed a fight nearby "Tina wrap it up Naruto needs help" she said as she got up
"Huh?" Tina said as she turned and saw Naruto, Jack and Rocket fighting the men in suits "now it's a party!" she yelled as he smiled and ran over to the slot machines and jumped onto them and ran on them before jumping off them and onto the crowd of goons In suits "yippie kai yay!" she yelled with a battle cry as she stabbed one in the back with a plastic spork she had from the buffet
"Rocket, why are they after you?" Naruto asked as he ducked under a punch from a suited man and sent an uppercut into his face
"There's the rodent! Give me back my eye!" A krogan yelled angrily missing an eye
"You stole an eye from a krogan? Jack asked as she sent the krogan flying with a blast of her biotics
"Relax, it was a glass eye and the dude was going on about having a 3 million credit price on his head" Rocket said, jumping into the air and kicking a man in the chin. Knocking the suited man out.
"Who started this fight?" Peebee asked curiously as she approached and grabbed her blaster
"Some cheating blackjack dealer," Jack said as she judo threw a man through a poker table.
"You mean the one heading for the elevator?" Peebee asked as she pointed at the elevator where Faye was running towards
"Tina!" Naruto yelled as he slugged a goon and pointed at the running Faye
"You wanna fuck now? I mean I'm not gonna say no" Tina said after biting a man's nose
"No you idiot, capture her!" Jack yelled as she snapped a goons neck
"Dead or alive? Ah who cares!" Tina yelled before running after Faye
"Alive or no sex ever!" Naruto yelled after Tina
"Ok!!!!" Tina yelled chasing after Faye
"Shit! Boss Valentine's making a run!" A man yelled into a communicator before Naruto grabbed him by his throat and slammed him into the floor spine first.
Just as Faye ran into the elevator Tina tackled her into it
"Got you! Don't resist or I'll have to cut you with this spork!" Tina yelled as she held up said spork which was covered in blood
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Faye groaned as she looked at the spork in surprise
"We are still making a list" Rocket said as he entered the elevator with Jack, Peebee, and Naruto. Rocket was holding a bunch of coins that were on the floor from the slot machine Jack destroyed
"Ok prom queen what is going on?" Jack growled at Faye
"Prom queen? That's the best you got GI Jane?" Faye asked with a scoff
Rocket snorted at this finding this funny
"Save it until we get back to the Sanctuary we can question her there" Naruto ordered as he hit the button on the elevator
"Got it. You should have Moxxi prepare the torture chair" Tina said with a grin as she pulled Faye to her feet and cuffed her hands behind her back
"Oh jeez you're all bounty hunters aren't you?" Faye asked with a groan as she had a bad feeling about them as she had encountered bounty hunters before
"Yup we're the best bounty hunters in the galaxy that You've never heard of!" Tina chirped out
"Damn it he set me up!" Faye scowled as the elevator took them up
(later at the Sanctuary)
everyone was in the storage room where they had Faye tied down in a chair so they could question her
"Alright talk you fat titted bimbo! Talk or We'll have Claptrap sing Baby shark!" Tina yelled at Faye shining a flashlight in her eyes
"You need a tic tac and I'm guessing rittlen" Faye said with a flat tone
Rocket and Jack snorted at this trying to contain their laughter at Faye's crack at Tina
"That's it! Do it Claptrap!" Tina yelled out
"Baby shark! do do do do do do!" Claptrap sang in a very annoying voice
"Moxxi, does she have A Bounty? The sunglasses didn't pick her up" Naruto asked his Bartender as he tried to tune out Claptrap's awful singing
"Apparently she's wanted for heavy gambling debts, nothing bounty related though. Until just minutes ago. 6 million for Miss Faye Valentine here. Dead or Alive" Moxxi said as she made a holographic image of a wanted poster appear in the air
"That son of a bitch fed me to the wolves!" Faye growled as she tried in vain to block out Claptrap's voice
"Anybody want an encore?" Claptrap asked as he looked around after finishing his song
"Claptrap take a break now Miss Valentine what is this chip that you were making a big deal about?" Naruto asked as he approached Faye
"... you're just Gonna turn Me in after I tell you but fuck it. I want that bastard who set me up to pay. I was told by the Casino Owner Gordon he'd pay off my debt. If I brought him a poker chip from an associate of his. He told me the guy was tall, had blonde hair, and blue eyes." Faye said "I assumed you pocketed the chip"
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a chip from his pocket. "How'd that get in there? Ah well questions for later. Rocket, can you and Cortana take a look at this thing?" he asked as he held out the chip to his pilot
"Leave it to me. What do you want to do with her. She is a 6 million bounty after all now" Rocket said
"Yeah, put on her by a crime boss so I'm thinking it's to silence her so for now she stays here until we get all the information. Consider her under protective custody" Naruto said to his team firmly
"She scammed you and you want to save her?" Jack asked baffled
"I'm not doing anything without all the info. Besides I want to have a word with this Gordon fellow" Naruto said firmly
"Fine but who's on guard duty?" Jack asked
"Groot you mind taking the first watch?" Naruto asked the sentient tree alien
"I am Groot" Groot nodded
"Perfect" Naruto said before everyone left Groot to his guard duty
(With Gordon)
Gordon was angrily pacing his office as 6 of his guards came into the room.
"Did you find the chip?" he asked his men who entered his office
"We think so sir. We believe a group who took Miss Valentine with them may have it on their ship. It's currently docked on one of the casino platforms" a guard spoke up
"Then go and board the ship and get me the chip" Gordon ordered
"Uh we tried sir. The ship wouldn't open even with us trying to hack the door." one of the guards said
"and some brat said they won't open for us Quote 'No way, not no how' unquote" another spoke
"Imbeciles, what am I even paying you for!" Gordon growled
"me and my crew can deal with them if the price is good" a deep voice said as they turned to see a krogan missing an eye
"How'd you get in here?" Gordon demanded as he turned to look at the krogan and his guards all drew their weapons on him
"Your security team isn't exactly the best. Considering eight of them died to a plastic spork. But luckily for you I'm not weak like them" The krogan spoke up
"what makes you think you can handle them?" A security guard spoke up with a glare
"And even catch them before they leave" another spoke
"They are bounty hunters from what I can see and if they are smart they will find out about your little chip and….." the krogan said with a smirk at Gordon
"And call me asking for a paycheck to give it to me" Gordon said with a smirk of his own as he had a idea what this krogan was thinking
"Exactly. They arrange a hand off. You get your chip and I collect their heads andheads and a nice payday. Besides I have a score to settle with the rodent on their team" The krogan spoke
"I believe we can make this work, do you have a name?" Gordon asked the krogan
"None you need to worry about. Just call me Ripper" the krogan said simply
"Very well" Gordon said as he nodded at Ripper
(With Naruto)
Naruto was in the bridge of the ship along with the others, minus Groot, as Cortana and Rocket were finishing scanning the chip
"So what makes this thing so special?" Naruto asked Cortana
"Scans have revealed that inside this chip is a chip that is a key to a program that was stolen years ago from an alliance research facility" Cortana said as her hologram appeared
"That can't be a good sign. If it's alliance
tech" Peebee said as she frowned
"What's it do?" Jack asked curiously
"Data shows that it is a prototype security breaker code. Allowing someone with it to immediately break through any firewall or technology based lock within seconds." Cortana said
This got silence from the group as their eyes widened
"No wonder this Gordon has a bug up his ass about this chip" Jack said as she chuckled as this was definitely useful to a criminal
"I smell a payday" Rocket sang out as he rubbed his paws together and smiled
"If we sell this the alliance could trace it back to us. Meaning we'll have targets on our back" Peebee pointed out
"So let's sell it back to them then" Rocket suggested "Either way we get some dough" Rocket said as he shrugged
"I don't really trust anyone with this thing to be honest" Naruto said as he looked at the chip
"No! Do not tell me you want to scrap this thing!" Rocket yelled out
"Look I'm not exactly a paragon of good but this kind of thing we should not act like morons. This kind of tech is too easy to have people go power max from." Naruto said as he looked at the group
"Yeah but you want to destroy this thing without even giving it back to its creators. Aren't you usually morally anal about these things?" Rocket asked curiously
"I've seen what powerful and crazy tech can do to worlds Rocket. This is dangerous it shouldn't be in anyone's possession." Naruto said seriously
"So what's the plan?" Moxxi asked curiously
"Hmmmmm Cortana call Mr Gordon on the video phone" Naruto said to the AI
"Calling now" Cortana said as a video screen came up showing Gordon
"I have been waiting for your call Mr Uzumaki of the Sanctuary" Gordon said with a smile as he appeared on the video screen
"He looks like a total baby back bitch" Tina grumbled under her breath
This got snorts of laughter from Rocket jack and Moxxi before Peebee poked Tina in the forehead
"I want to arrange a little deal with you for your chip. The thing's more trouble than it's worth so I'll give it to you for 6 million credits. The money you had for the bounty on Miss Valentine and you can cancel it" Naruto said
"Ah a gentleman eh? That's rare for a bounty hunter very well. I'll cancel her bounty right now as a show of good faith" Gordon said as he typed on his keypad "there it's canceled. Meet me at dock number 47 for the handoff" the businessman said
"See you there" Naruto said before turning off the call
"He's so gonna turn on us when we hand over the chip" Tina said with a scoff
"Exactly. Which is why he won't be getting the chip. Moxxi make sure he actually canceled the bounty on Faye" Naruto told her "I don't trust that he even did"
Moxxi nodded at this before she used her omni tool to look up Faye's bounty but when she did she saw a big revoked label on it
"He did indeed revoke the bounty on her" Moxxi said
"So what you gonna do whiskers?" Rocket asked as Naruto approached the chip
Naruto picked up the chip and smirked as he channeled some chakra through it
(With Groot)
Faye sat in her seat and looked at Groot with an annoyed look. "Hey tree boy can I get something to eat at least? I haven't eaten in at least 12 hours
Groot frowned at this before he nodded and left the room
"He bought that? What a sap" Faye said with a chuckle as she fiddled with her handcuffs and freed herself before she pulled out what looked like a mini tube of lipstick but it was actually a mini device for controlling her ship which was parked nearby.
(later with Naruto)
Naruto, Rocket, Jack, Tina, and Peebee stood in front of docking bay number 47. Waiting for the door to open.
"This is a bad idea" Jack said as she looked at the door
"Once we make the trade we get the hell out of here" Rocket said as he held his Rocket launcher at the ready
The door opened to reveal Gordon holding a metal briefcase with only 2 security guards and a large ship behind him.
"Good to see you in person Mr. Uzumaki. Do you have the chip?" Gordon asked with a smile
"Indeed I do" Naruto said as he held up the chip between his fingers
"Ok here's what we will do. I will hand the briefcase containing the money to one of my associates. You will hand the chip to one of yours and they will walk slowly towards the other side to hand off" Gordon said with a smile
"How about this instead, I'll toss the chip and my friend Jack will pull the money to us just as I do it, no tricks Mr legitimate businessman" Naruto said with a firm tone
"Very well. I see no harm in this" The man said as he nodded
Jack used her biotics to start pulling the case towards them and once it was out of Gordon's hand Naruto threw the chip to the business man. The man caught it just as the case reached Jack's hands
"There's your chip." Naruto said as Jack opened the case to inspect the money
But before she could a spaceship with blue paint, a claw on one side and a shotgun on the other flew over them and a hook shot down and grabbed the case of money and flew off
As the ship flew over Naruto, he and the pilot of the ship locked eyes and he saw it was Faye
"Later whiskers" Faye said with a smile and a wink at Naruto before she flew her ship off
"That little bitch!" Rocket and Jack yelled together both mad at losing out on a payday
"Damn you you big, fat titted bimbo!" Tina bellowed as she shook her fist at the flying away ship as it left the hanger
"Well isn't that a shame. But at least I got my chip" Gordon said with a smile
"Yeah it's a shame she got an Empty case without any money in it" Naruto said blandly making Gordon stumble
"What? Why would you say that?" Gordon asked sounding nervous
"Cause I'm not stupid and can sense the people behind that ship. There are 6 in total. Why bother paying us if you were planning an ambush?" Naruto said with a glare
Gordon said nothing to this before he took off running and pulled out a communicator "they know! Take them out!" he yelled as he ran into an elevator which closed behind him
"Ah I wanted to kill him!" Tina pouted just as 6 krogans led by Ripper stepped out from behind the ship holding shotgun blasters
"Focus on the krogans!" Jack yelled as she pulled out a hand pistol and open fired on them while they all took cover
"I'm taking my eye back, you rodent!" Ripper yelled sending a shotgun blast at Rocket who jumped away
"Eat rockets bitch!" Rocket yelled sending a missile at the krogan leader who jumped out of the way before flying off with his jetpack
"Keep him and his crew's bodies intact. We may as well get some money off these idiots bounty wise" Naruto ordered before pulling out one of his elemental guns and sending a blast of fire at a krogan who ducked under it.
"Do they have bounties?" Jack asked as she used her biotics to send one of the krogen flying before slamming him into the ground
"The krogan leader whose eye I liberated has 3 million on his head" Rocket said before firing another rocket at the krogans
