(Sanctuary III)
It had been 2 days after Naruto and the Celestial Shadows turned in Quardak to the asari people on Thessia for his bounty. After collecting said bounty the group had immediately decided to take another one that sent them after a Turian named Coslus Bellacius. A well known thief who had stolen many art pieces and historical artifacts from various planets and selling them on the black market. While he wasn't a monster killer like Ripper, he was still dangerous as he had several clients who didn't pay enough killed. Netting him a decent sized 1 million credit bounty.
Luckily the capture went off easily as they had Naruto take the guise of a rich buyer for an Asari statue and as he distracted the Turian, Samara knocked him out and cuffed him. Now everyone was on the Sanctuary III as it made its way back to Thessia
Currently Naruto was in a training session with Samara in the training room. The two facing off in an unarmed spar while Jack, Peebee, Tina, Rocket, and Groot watched from the sidelines.
"Gah!" Naruto yelled as Samara judo threw him over her shoulder and into a wall with a clang
"Gahahahahaha! I told you she could take him! Pay up!" Rocket yelled at Jack who scowled as she handed over some credits
"Dammit whiskers that was my booze money for Moxxi" Jack grumbled with a scowl
"Ugh. I'll buy your next drink as an apology" Naruto groaned as he held his left arm from the impact where he collided with the wall
"Don't be discouraged you put up a decent fight I have just been doing this for far longer then you" Samara said as she approached Naruto who was on his knees after smashing into the wall holding his right shoulder
"Oh I'm not discouraged at all. My shoulder just popped out of place. Hang on" Naruto said as he used his other arm to audibly pop his shoulder back in "oh that's much better" Naruto sighed in relief as he rotated his shoulder
"Jeez my shoulder hurt from hearing that" PeeBee muttered after hearing the loud pop
"You are getting better with each spar captain. Who knows perhaps one day soon it'll be me on the floor instead" Samara said as she held a hand up for Naruto who gladly took it
Tina smiled at this but before she could say anything….
"Hush or no chocolate" Naruto said as he was pulled to his feet
"Awwww" Tina said with a cute pout
"Your style of fighting still interests me captain. It reminds me of boxers from Earth. Very punch heavy. And yet your style seems more refined to delivering quick and sudden death blows to the internal organs of targets" Cortana spoke up appearing in her hologram form
"I suppose. Honestly, using my shinobi style of fighting in a friendly spar is difficult with how many kill strikes I have to hold back on. That being said I'd rather hold back and lose a spar then accidentally murder a friend" Naruto said with a smile which Samara returned
"It's not like you could kill her if she was using her biotics anyway" Jack pointed out
"Actually Jack from what I have been able to study of the captain with his chakra he may very Well Be able to resist certain Biotic effects" Cortana explained
"Wait seriously?" Rocket asked curiously
"It's only a hypothesis of mine. And even then I do not think it would work against incredibly powerful biotic abilities but a simple pull or push may be negated by his chakra." Cortana informed them
"I am Groot" Groot said as he nodded at this
"Alright you heard the tree man. Round two whiskers. This time try not to get thrown across the room by biotics" Rocket said with a snicker
Before the spar could start Moxxi opened the door to the training room
"What is it Mox? Claptrap get into trouble again?" Naruto asked
"No he's busy practicing his stabbing by the door housing our new prisoner" Moxxi said simply
"Haha! Stabbity stab stab!" Claptrap was heard screaming down the hall
"Keep me away from this psycho robot!!" The turian prisoner was heard screaming in a panic
"Ah. Then what do you need Mox? Besides that!" Naruto asked before he quickly yelled seeing the bartenders Lusty smirk
"Oh come on! We haven't fucked since that threesome with Aria. I need that dick in me again dammit!" Moxxi yelled
"Miss Moxxi we are currently getting a message and you said you would alert the captain" Cortana said
"Right. Right getting off track. Got an urgent message from a Matriarch Benezia for you. It came in through my bar but I figured you should answer it. It sounds important" Moxxi said after shaking her head to regain focus
"Patch it through Cortana" Naruto said as he looked up at the AIs hologram
"Affirmative" Cortana said as another Hologram appeared. This one being of Benezia
"Captain Uzumaki can you hear me?" Benezia asked
"I can and I said you can call me Naruto Benezia" Naruto said with a kind smile
"Sorry I'm a little as humans would say on edge I suppose. I am currently at the alliance citadel asking for assistance but I am receiving no aid due to their forces being stretched thin. I have no one else I can ask for help on this urgent matter" Benezia said
"What's the problem?" Naruto asked as he gained a serious look
"I need you to save my daughter dr. Liara T'Soni. Her research team on Morana in the Horse Head Nebula were taken captive by Batarian Slavers. Apparently the group had faked a small prothean site to draw in victims close to citadel space to capture and flee before the alliance could do anything" Benezia explained
"What's this job pay?- oi!" Rocket asked before Jack slapped the back of his head
"How do you know she was captured?" Tina asked as she pet goose who was sitting on her shoulder hoping to get as much info as they could
"We were chatting upon her landing when her connection was suddenly cut short. I heard gunfire and suddenly silence. I did hear a batarian voice before the connection was cut off. I know my daughter isn't a stranger to getting into skirmishes during her research but I do worry with how well planned this seems. It almost feels like it is targeting her specifically" Benezia admitted
"OK we're near that system we can take a side trip and look into this for you. Cortana?" Naruto said before he looked at the AIs hologram
"Already changed our course sir. We will be there within 20 minutes" Cortana informed
"Understood. Don't worry Benezia. We will find out what's going on and free your daughter and her team" Naruto told her with a firm nod
"Thank you. Please find my daughter and make sure she's safe. That's all a parent really wants" Benezia told him as she signed off
"So…..she's a MILF and a matriarch eh?" Tina asked as she smirked at Naruto
"Go get ready Tina. You're coming on planet with me to tear these slavers a new one" Naruto said seriously
"Alright! Come on Goose we're gonna go commit war crimes!" Tina squealed out in delight
The space cat meowed at this as the two ran off
"Who else is going with darling?" Moxxi asked curiously
"I'll go you need someone sane to watch your back whiskers" Jack said as she stepped forward
"I shall go as well. It's only right for a Justicar to assist another Asari and defend the innocent after all" Samara explained with a nod to Naruto
"A half drunk biotic, a justicar, a flerken, a shinobi, and a psychopath. Gonna be a Hell of a show. Too bad I'm gonna stay on board with the big guy to watch the ship with Moxxi and the rust bolt. Do me a favor though shoot a slaver in the nuts for me" Rocket said with a smirk
"Please if that's all Tina does then she's slipping creativity wise" Naruto said as he led his team to the armory to gear up.
(Morana. 20 minutes later)
"Christ its fucking cold" Jack grunted out as the group exited the ship and was met with insane amount of cold wind on the icy planetoid.
"I told you you needed better protection" Naruto said as they were all wearing environmental suits to keep warm but Jack went with one a bit less protection for extra maneuverability
"Do we even know where to look for these guys?" Tina asked as Goose, in a cat sized environmental suit, was perched on her shoulder
"Cortana did a sweep of the planet and should be sending us a location to my Omni tool" Naruto said as his Omni tool lit up showing them a map
"I see the Fake prothean ruins sight. Looks like it's a 30 minute trek through the ice and snow to the north" Samara said going over the map
"Fuck. When this is over whiskers you're buying a vehicle for planetary exploration so we don't have to walk anymore" Jack grunted out
"Your helping Rocket with maintenance on it then" Naruto said as they started to walk
"Done. I never want to walk in this crap again." Jack immediately agreed
"And keeping Claptrap from messing with it" Naruto said
"Gah! I need a drink!" Jack yelled at this as they continued their trek
(30 minutes later)
The team of bounty hunters stood in front of a parked ship that was in front of a beacon of some kind.
"Oh so that's how they faked a prothean ruin sight. A beacon modified to act like a recently discovered site in an attempt to draw in people. Clever but also easy to see through once you're in front of it. Unfortunately it seems a single window of opportunity was all they needed" Samara said
"Tina" Naruto asked as he looked at his teammate
"Hiyah! Take that pinata! Aww no candy" Tina yelled before pouting as she smashed the beacon with her war hammer
"Now what captain. They aren't gonna just open the door for us" Jack asked as she looked at the camera on them and flipped it off
"Simple. We knock loudly" Naruto said with a smirk as he held up his hand as blue spiraling orb of chakra started to form
"Me first! Tina yelled as she took out what looked like a rocket launcher and aimed it at the door
"No wait Tina! If you shoot that You may hit the research team if they're near there! Besides I think I need to cut loose a bit!" Naruto said as the sphere finished forming in his hand before he slammed it into the ship's door "Rasengan!" Naruto yelled as the door was suddenly sent flying off it's hinges into the ship slamming into the wall as it spiraled and crashed
"What the fu-" a Batarian female holding a shotgun questioned before Tina shot her in the head making it explode like a tomato
"Boom! Headshot! 15 points!" Tina giggled as the others followed her onboard
"Alright everyone, stick close. We have no idea of their numbers and we have no layout of the ship. We search every room for the research team. Any batarians we incapacitate or kill." Naruto ordered as he pulled out his elemental guns
"Look at you being a leader" Jack said with a chuckle as they all walked deeper into the ship only to hear a voice whistling from a nearby room.
"I got this one" Naruto ordered leveling his gun at the door as he clicked a panel to open it up…. Revealing a Batarian on the toilet
"... can't a guy crap in pea- wait who the fuck-" The batarian was saying as he reached for a gun nearby only for Naruto to blast him with an electric shot from his gun stunning him.
"I'll let you get back to your privacy after you talk" Naruto said as he put his blaster under the aliens chin and put his finger on the trigger "Where's the research team you guys captured?" Naruto questioned
"Fuck you human! I ain't answering shit!" The Batarian grunted out before spitting in Naruto's face in defiance. Naruto moved his other gun and shot him in the kneecap with a fire blast making him scream.
"Every defiant word from you brings you pain. Talk or I'm gonna aim for a place you really don't want on fire" Naruto told him with a glare
"……damn it I am guessing you're looking for that research team led by that fat assed asari slut?" The batarian asked
"Look at that a smart one well kinda" Jack said as Naruto pistol whipped the man in the face
"You should show more respect to other people. But luckily for you I don't have the time to teach your sorry ass manners. So how about this. Talk or we hurt you. I'm sure my justicar friend here would love to rip you apart for your degrading comments about one of her people" Naruto said looking to Samara who held a pistol up with a glare at the batarian
"Justicar?! Fuck that! They are keeping them in the main storage area and they are being guarded by most of the group and are well armed. I think our boss Rark is on the line with a client trying to sell off the blue skins for a profit. That's all I know goddammit!" The batarian screamed
"Thank you for your cooperation Jack show him how appreciative we are" Naruto said with a nod at his friend who smirked before she sent a pistol round into the batarians neck. Stunning him unconscious as he slumped back on the toilet "huh you didn't kill him. I'm surprised" Naruto admitted
"I figure these jagoffs probably have a bounty or at least a reward. We should take as many in as we can alive for some profit from this" Jack admitted
"Good call. Alright we'll cuff him and come back later when we need to head back to the ship" Naruto admitted as he cuffed the unconscious batarian
"What's the plan? from what I can tell from this type of ship there is only one entrance into the main storage area so a sneak attack is impossible" Samara said as she looked at Naruto
"Hmmmm a frontal assault could work if we knew their gear better… Wait" Naruto said as he thought before he smiled
"Oh Jeez what are you thinking?" Jack asked as she could tell he had a idea
Naruto turned and looked at Goose who looked at them curiously "easy we send in Goose to rip them apart" Naruto said
"Interesting Batarians are not that well versed in other species besides the ones in the alliance and Varrens. So they will most likely assume he's an earth cat" Samara said as she nodded At the plan
"Alright so we send Goose in. While they are panicking we burst in, free the hostages, restrain any batarians we can, and put down the rest if needed." Naruto said as he led the crew to the storage bay door.

Inside the storage bay a group of armed batarians were guarding a group of asari one of which was wearing a green and white skintight bodysuit that had several burn marks from plasma damage as she was cuffed inside of a cell. this was Liara T'Soni
"Yes we can drop them off on Pandora easily enough. Don't know why you want some asari sluts but hey as long as the credits drop use em for what you want" A batarian wearing all black armor holding an assault rifle said into an earpiece. This was Rark
Suddenly an alarm went off causing all the batarians to ready themselves as the doors opened and they took aim at the doors
"Meow!" Goose said as he ran into the room and looked around curiously at all the thugs
"False alarm. It's just an earth cat. Guess its one of these bitches pet or something." Rark said with a scoff
"Hey I heard earth cats are good when grilled over a flame" a batarian female said with a smile at the thought of food
This got some grins from the batarians while Goose's eyes narrowed.
Liara watched the cat react to this and looked at her fellow asari "get away from the bars" she whispered to them
"OK you flea bag. Get over here so we can get some grub out of you" a batarian made his way over to Goose holding a pistol
Goose's response was to open his mouth and fired his mouth tentacles at the batarian before pulling him into his mouth and devouring him whole…..before hacking a few times and spitting out his pistol
"What the fu-" Rark was yelling before Naruto, Tina, Samara, Jack stormed in guns blazing. Firing blasts at every batarian they could while Goose leapt onto another one mid fire fight and devoured them
"As I thought a flerken" Liara said as Goose proceeded to attack the thugs along with the others as Naruto made his way over to the bars where the asari's were imprisoned
"We'll get you out as soon as the Batarians are down" Naruto told them with a small smile as a Batarian tried to sneak up behind him only for Naruto to send an elbow into his gut and smashing his face against the cage
"All done whiskers! We have the leader subdued!" Tina yelled as Jack held Rark in place with her biotics
"Copy that" Naruto said as he opened the cage for the asari before walking over to Rark.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't let Goose eat you" Naruto said as he gestured to said Flerken who was looking up at the floating batarian with a look of hunger
"You think I'm scared of you and your freaky ass pet human? I ain't scared!" Rark yelled
"Ah yes you are. I can sense your fear. Your dread, your despair. Tell me how many others have felt the same when you took them before selling them off like cattle?" Naruto asked with a glare
"This guy has a body count? I smell a payday" Jack said with a grin
"I ain't killed no one!" Rark yelled
"Bullshit. What I want to know is how many people you've captured and sold off" Naruto demanded
"You think I have a number? How many pieces of bread does A human eat in their lifetime? I don't keep count of the slaves. Just the credits" Rark said with a defiant smirk before freezing as Naruto's chakra started to leak
"What is that?" An asari researcher asked shuddering from the presence of Naruto's chakra. Even Liara felt herself aroused by the energy but composed herself
"Ladies and Goose We're taking this piece of trash back to the Sanctuary and introducing him to Claptrap. I want Claptrap to be his new cellmate for his trip to the proper authorities." Naruto said with a growl as he started to breathe in and out to calm himself down
"Understood. Want me to call in Rocket to fly the ship over to us? That way we don't have to walk back in this weather?" Jack asked
Naruto nodded at this before he turned to the group of asari "which of you is Liara?" Naruto asked
"I am." Liara said raising a shaky hand as she was still fighting her arousal
"Good then our job is complete" Naruto said as he nodded
"Job?" Liara asked curiously
"Your mother, Matriarch Benezia, asked us to head here while we were in the area on our way to turn in a bounty. Once The ship comes in we're gonna bring all of you to the citadel to recover from this ordeal and plan what to do next" Naruto informed them
"My mother sent you? Are you Alliance military?" Liara asked curiously
"Nah we're bounty hunters or cowboys if you prefer slang" Tina said with a smirk
"Yes. We're not affiliated with the Alliance military. We're freelance" Naruto informed her
"My mother hired bounty hunters to free me? That must have cost quite the sum" Liara said
"To be fair we have some ethics despite most of us being crazy as hell. Besides I did this for free since your mom begged me. I just can't say no to a crying woman" Naruto said with a small chuckle, getting Liara to widen her eyes at this. This bounty hunter was different from most other humans she had met.
"Rocket's inbound" Jack said as Samara had rounded up some Incapacitated Batarians and cuffed them
"Any of them worth giving to Claptrap?" Naruto asked curiously
"They all are worth at least 10.000 credits a piece. Rark though has a 2.5 million credit bounty" Samara said as she held up her omni tool which she had used to scan them
"Good. Alright then everyone to the Sanctuary and lets leave this place" Naruto ordered as they all descended
(Sanctuary III, 20 minutes later)
After imprisoning the prisoners and contacting the citadel authorities to inform them of their impending arrival, Naruto had decided to hit the training room and was practicing some of his hand to hand combat forms shirtless when the door opened revealing Samara and Liara enter
"I figured you'd be here captain" Samara said as the two asari walked over to the sidelines
"Something I can help you two with?" Naruto asked curiously as he sent out a roundhouse kick followed by an elbow strike as he continued his sequence
"Dr T'Soni had a few questions about you that I figured were better for yourself to answer rather than me" Samara admitted
"Oh? What did you need Liara?" Naruto asked pausing his training
"When you rescued us, I and the others felt some type of energy leak from your body that was nothing like biotics. I was wondering if you'd be able to answer me a few questions in regards to that?" Liara asked curiously
"Sure I don't see the harm. Despite my appearance I'm not actually a human. I'm actually from a race known as Elementians." Naruto said with a small smile
"Elementians?! But they were wiped out over 10,000 years ago!" Liara yelled in shock
"You know of my people?" Naruto asked shocked
"I had visited Elementia once when I was still starting out in my research of the protheans. I was trying to see if there was a correlation between the protheans and your people. While I never found it I did find old journals and video diaries from an elementian that explained they were going to cryo freeze some of their people in hopes of escaping a threat to their planet. A Lot of the memory was in shambles so I never figured out what killed your people but I did get some insight into their plans" Liara admitted
"This video diary. Do you know who it was speaking? Maybe it was someone I'm familiar with?" Naruto asked with some hope as maybe he'd be able to find out if others were frozen
"Of course. The woman introduced herself as Kushina Uzumaki. She was in charge of the process of cryo freezing other Elementians" Liara said making Naruto eyes widen
"M-my mother?! Did she mention any others that were frozen?!" Naruto asked, almost begging the doctor. Hoping he wasn't truly the last of his kind.
"I-I'm sorry. It never mentioned anything other than the plan and cut off from centuries of damage. I do not know if there are any more who were frozen like yourself. I'm sorry" Liara told him making him fall to his knees in horrific realization
"...I really am the last of my people then" Naruto said staring at the floor
"I'm sorry" Liara told him as he took a calming breath
"No it's- I knew this was a possibility. I saw my mother die before my eyes and yet I still held hope that maybe there would be some others that were to be frozen as well in separate facilities but I really am the last of my kind. I can't do anything else but move forward" Naruto said as he stood back up
"Sorry to interrupt captain but we have arrived in citadel space" Cortana's voice said
"Understood Cortana. We'll head out as soon as we land" Naruto said as he put his shirt back on
"I cannot imagine what you are going through Captain Uzumaki but before we depart if you're willing to still answer a question, what was that energy you displayed against the batarians?" Liara asked
"Oh that was chakra, it's what all of my people have used. It's why those Cerberus clowns saved me in the first place" Naruto explained with a small smile
"In all of the notes I found while on Elementia I never once came across anything pertaining to this chakra. It's quite fascinating. I wish to learn more of you're willing to oblige my curiosity" Liara admitted
"That a request to study me doc?" Naruto asked with a smile
"We do need a doctor on the ship especially with Tina and claptrap aboard the ship Samara said as she wouldn't also mind another Asari aboard. Especially with PeeBee being quite outgoing it would be nice to have a more mature and focused Asari amongst them.
"Oh I wouldn't want to impose. Not to mention all of my research into the protheans may get in the way of your duties" Liara admitted
"It wouldn't be an imposition. We have a medical wing on the ship we just haven't been able to use it seeing as well beyond first aid we're pretty limited" Naruto said as he smiled
"I admittedly don't know too much in the medical field but I do know some things about patching up different races. I may not be the most knowledgeable for in depth medical studies though" Liara told them
"That's perfect Cortana has the material for you to study on your off time so you can grow your medical skills if you wish." Samara told her
"Indeed I have the very latest information I can send to a data pad at any time" Cortana chimed in
"... I suppose when you say it like that how could I possibly say no. Very well I accept. On the condition you also allow me to study your chakra and potentially help with my prothean studies" Liara requested
"That's absolutely fine. Happy to have you aboard. And sorry in advance for whatever Tina or Moxxi say when they find out you agreed to join" Naruto said with a sheepish chuckle
"I do not understand. Why would that need an apology?" Liara questioned confused
"You will find out" Samara said with a flat tone of voice as the 3 left the training room
(Citadel)
Naruto, Liara, Samara, the asari research team, Tina, PeeBee, Groot, Rocket, Jack, and Moxxi exited the ship
"Remember you two no nonsense while we are here" Naruto said as he looked at Tina and Rocket
"When have I ever done something I shouldn't have?" Rocket asked
"You don't want an answer for that" Jack said flatly
"Or if you do would you like the list alphabetically or chronologically?" Moxxi asked with a snicker
Rocket made a mocking face at this as he crossed his arms at this
"I'll be good but if someone starts something I'll slay them with a spoon!" Tina said as she pulled out a metal spoon
"Why would you use a spoon? liara asked curiously
"cause my Fork is dirty and the spoon is dull so it will hurt a lot more sexy" Tina said with a flirty wink at the new recruit who blushed purple
Naruto's response to this was to smack Tina's ass making her yelp "behave" Naruto ordered
Tina growled playfully at Naruto at this making him chuckle
"Alright before you and Moxxi try to embarrass the new medic we do have some business here. Samara, Liara, and the other researchers will come with me to the asari embassy to meet with Benezia and the asari councilor. Everyone else consider this a small retreat for the day before we go back to hunting down criminals tomorrow" Naruto informed them
"Great, where's the bar?" Jack asked as she smiled as they had already been paid for handing over the batarian criminals as well as Rark and Coslus to the proper authorities
"Where is the weapons dealer?" Rocket asked
"There are several but i think the one you'd like is in the wards" Moxxi said as she looked at a map she downloaded "I'll go with you as I want to get a few upgrades for my shotgun" Moxxi said
"Make sure if you are getting weapons to get upgrades for the ship it definitely needs them too" Naruto said to Rocket as he Groot and Moxxi walked away
"Ooh what's this Flux place?" Tina asked looking at a mpa Peebee was holding
"Looks like a small gambling space and night club" Peebee told her
"Ooh! There! Let's go there! I want to gamble!" Tina exclaimed giddily before she ran off
"... Peebee?" Naruto asked
"Yeah I'm on it. Extra hazard pay" PeeBee told him as she followed Tina but not before winking at Naruto and smiling at him
"Yes dear" Naruto said with a chuckle knowing what Peebee was getting at
"You seem quite popular with Tina, Peebee, and Moxxi" Liara said observing the interaction
"Yeah let's just say they um how do I put this?" Naruto muttered
"We're his fuck buddies!" Tina yelled out for everyone to hear getting loads of eyes starting at Naruto
"….thank you Tina" Naruto said with a deadpan tone
"no problem foxy!" Tina yelled as she continued running off
"... I see" Liara said a bit off put by how willing Tina just admitted to that. She wasn't judging the relationship at all. She just was genuinely a bit weirded out by her shouting it for all to hear.
"Let's go to the embassy before something else happens" Naruto said with a sigh getting giggles from the asari research team
(With Tina)
With Tina and PeeBee they had just entered the casino/night club Flux to try out some of the Quasar machines
"OK, let's make some money. Momma wants to buy herself a new toy to blow up shit!" Tina giggled as she ran up the stairs nearly tackling a Volus who was walking away from a machine
PeeBee shook her head at this as she followed only to see Tina stop at the top of the stairs "what's up? Didn't you want to gamble?" PeeBee asked confused
"Oh hell the fuck no!" Tina said as she took out a taser and charged it as she walked towards a blackjack table
PeeBee raised an eyebrow at this before she looked at the table and saw that Faye was sitting at the table playing not aware that Tina was making a beeline to her from behind
"Hit me" Faye said to the dealer
"Sure thing cow tits" Tina said with a freak grin as she charged her taser and jabbed it in Faye's neck shocking her and making her slump onto the table unconscious making the dealer jump back and a bunch of people to start panicking
"Don't get excited people! We're bounty hunters and she owes us money and if you have a problem tell it to my boom stick" Tina said as she pulled out a sawed off shotgun
"It's fine she was winning too much anyway" the dealer said as he collected the chips from the table
"Huh really? Good to know, PeeBee! confiscate her winnings, her bra, and her panties!" Tina yelled as she started to drag Faye towards the door
"Why the last two?" Peebee asked weirded out
"Don't ask questions and do it!" Tina yelled
"Tina I don't think she's even wearing a bra" Peebee said with a sigh

Naruto was currently In the asari embassy standing off to the side as Matriarch Benezia, Councilor Tevos, Liara, and the researchers were speaking of the events on Morana. As they did so though he shuddered
'Why do I feel like I'm in the belly of the beast?' Naruto thought as he took a breath to calm himself as the Asari researchers stepped aside as the Councilor walked towards Naruto
"Captain Uzumaki of the Celestial Shadows, I am Councilor Tevos. Representative of the Asari people for the citadel council" Tevos introduced herself
"It's an honor to meet you " Naruto said with a formal bow
"raise your head. I have heard from Benezia how you helped capture several criminals that were a danger to my people as well as saved her daughter and these other Asari behind me when the Alliance was unable to. For that you have my gratitude" Tevos told him as she bowed herself
"Thank you but I just did what I believe is right. I wouldn't willingly step aside when I can help others in need. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did so." Naruto said with a small smile as she raised her head
"I must admit you're not quite what I expected when I was informed of your Elementian status." Tevos told him
"You know about that?" Naruto asked. True he wasn't hiding what he was but he didn't think an alliance councilor knew that detail
"Word has traveled fast around the alliance of your deeds as a bounty hunter. Especially after your aid against enemies of the Asari. In fact I would like to see if you and your group might be interested in joining our alliance military forces" Tevos admitted
"Thanks but I'll pass for now. I think the life I have suits me just fine. But I wouldn't be opposed to lending a hand when needed to the alliance if our paths cross" Naruto told her
"Very well. In that case I must go meet with the other councilors. Do feel free to enjoy the accommodations in the embassy for your service to the asari people" Tevos told him as she walked out
"... I cannot get a good read on her" Naruto muttered as she seemed nice enough but she was still a politician. It was hard to figure out if she was trying to manipulate him or not.
"Don't worry too much about that Captain Uzumaki. Tevos is a well known diplomat and compromiser. She is far kinder than most other politicians are" Benezia told him
"I see. I thought I told you that you can call me Naruto Benezia" Naruto told her with a smile
"I refer to your title out of respect but very well. Thank you Naruto. I am truly grateful for the help you have given me by aiding my daughter and her research team." Benezia told him
"It's fine Benezia. Has she told you that she has joined my team?" Naruto asked curiously
"Yes, she informed me. And I can think of no one else I would rather entrust the safety of my Little Wing to than you. You have proven in such a short time to be an ally to the asari and know that I will find a way to repay you for helping us. No matter what it takes" Benezia told him seriously as she was truly indebted to him for saving her daughter when she had no other people she could turn to.
Naruto smiled at this before he heard his earpiece going off "yes Rocket?" he asked as he tapped his earpiece
"Your crazy blonde squeeze and Peebee managed to catch a criminal at that gambling club. You're gonna wanna come back to the ship for this one whiskers. You won't believe who they caught" Rocket told him
"Really? I'll be right there. If they give you attitude you can let claptrap get out the karaoke machine" Naruto told him with a smirk
"…….oh I'm gonna enjoy this so much, hey Claptrap! You have a new captive audience!" Rocket was heard yelling
"Woohoo! I'll sing some Surfin bird!!" Claptrap was heard exclaiming before the earpiece cut out
"Alright Liara, Samara looks like we're needed back at the ship for something" Naruto told the two asari ladies who nodded and followed after the captain "till next time Benezia" Naruto said with a nod as he turned away and walked off with his companions
(Back at the ship)
Meanwhile back at the Sanctuary III
"A mamamaomma mow mow oo mow mow!" Claptrap was singing really badly off key as he twitched on the ground like he was having a fit in front of Faye who was chained to a chair and gagged so she couldn't say a word.
Naruto, Samara, and Liara came back onto the ship and followed the sound of the horrid singing to the sight of everyone else on the ship watching this with sadistic amusement
"…..oh jeez" Naruto said as he saw Faye and groaned realizing that this was revenge on rocket and Tina's part for stealing their money
"Hey whiskers! You missed most of the show. Luckily I think Claptrap is about to give an encore" Rocket said snickering as he and Jack ate from a bucket of popcorn
"Take 5 claptrap" Naruto said as he entered the cell
"Okie dokie! I'll be here all week don't tip your waitress she's a crazy bitch!" Claptrap yelled before he was shot by Moxxi
"I'm Naruto's crazy bitch! Get it right dammit!" Moxxi yelled making Naruto sigh and shake his head while Liara just looked at all of this in shock. Naruto meanwhile walked up and removed the gag from Faye's mouth
"Please just kill me you sadistic mother-" Faye was yelling before Naruto covered her mouth again
"In our defense you're lucky it's just this you're dealing with after what you pulled. How did that briefcase with zero money treat you by the way? Buy anything nice with it?" Naruto asked with a smirk as he removed the gag
"Ha ha. I at least enjoyed spending your money by the way raccoon that money for your gun went towards a spa day for me" Faye said with a smirk of her own
"Yeah and your casino winnings are gonna upgrade our ship. So I'll call us square" Rocket said with a shrug
"That pot was at least double what I stole from you, you filthy, trash eating, little, bastard!" Faye yelled angrily
"I don't think you get the situation you're in miss Valentine. We actually had your bounty canceled by that asshole when we gave him the chip he wanted. And you instead stole from us." Naruto told her with a frown
"Huh so that's why the cowboys have been leaving me alone besides hitting on me" Faye said as she blinked in surprise
"Yeah. We did you a solid and you stole from us before we could even tell you." Naruto told her
"Aww I'm sorry whiskers. Want me to get on my hands and knees for you?" Faye asked batting her eyelashes
"……as tempting as that is, I don't want you as an enemy to us. And you obviously don't want us to hunt you out of some vendetta like some of my crew would love to" Naruto said looking at Jack
"So what do you want?" Faye asked
"Well you are obviously skilled and you probably need a job now that you have a clean slate right?" Naruto asked as he smiled
"Oh fuck no!" Rocket yelled hearing this as he knew what Naruto was thinking
"I don't approve of this! Not unless she is chained to your bed! Tina yelled as she shook her head

"Good I'll grab My shotgun" Jack said reaching for it

"I can appreciate your skill and talents. I also think the whole situation on mars was avoidable if we had all talked a bit" Naruto admitted

"I'll trust you on this captain but if she crosses us expect me to put a bullet in between her eyes" Jack said as she took a swig of her scotch

"Cortana, Rocket, Peebee. You three still have a vote on her." Naruto said
"Miss valentine seems to be telling the truth from what my scans say so I'll refrain from releasing deadly neurotoxin in her cell" Cortana said simply
"Grrrrrr fine! But I swear if this bites us in the ass just because you couldn't resist a Double D cup I swear I'll never let you live this down!" Rocket yelled as he stomped off
"I'll go check on him. As for me. I have nothing against her but that doesn't mean I can immediately trust her captain. But I will be keeping an eye on you" PeeBee told Faye with narrowed eyes
"Good then it's settled" Naruto said uncuffing her from the chair
"Great now please tell me you have a shower on this ship" Faye said as she rubbed her wrists
"Yeah I'll walk you to it" Naruto said as he gestured for her to follow him towards the showers. Missing the narrowed eyes of Jack and Moxxi and the excited smile from Tina
"Here you go. Women's shower area" Naruto told her as he gestured to a large door
"Thanks oh and if you peek I'm strapped" Faye warned him with a glare
"I'm not some super pervert who peeks on women miss Valentine. I can assure you of that, if I want to court a woman I would rather earn it" Naruto said with a firm tone as he gave Faye a look before he walked away
"huh. And they say chivalry is dead" Faye said with a smirk before walking into the shower area. Unnoticed however was Tina following her inside

Faye sighed as she stood under the shower and let the hot water cascade down her body.

"I know right? Second best thing on this ship" Tina said with a smile as she walked into the same stall completely nude
"The hell?!" Faye yelled wide eyed turning to Tina "why are you in my shower?" Faye asked

"Uh….. what?" Faye asked confused
"Oh yeah you don't know. Whiskers is the last of his kind. And he'll eventually need some bitches to bring back his race. And I'm tired of me and moxxi being his only human sluts. We need more of us dammit! Especially since the asari out number us now!" Tina yelled out crazily
"Will you get out of here?!" Faye yelled as she grabbed her blaster which was hanging nearby with her clothes

(With Naruto)
Naruto was inside the bar with some of the others when everyone heard the sound of gunfire going off
"And stay out you fucking pervert!" Faye yelled as a towel clad Tina came running down the hallway past the bar
"…..Huh I think she's already growing on me" Jack said with a chuckle at this while Naruto sighed
"Moxxi I need a drink" Naruto said to his bartender/lover
"of course darling" Moxxi said pouring him a whiskey
After a few moments of silence a fully dressed Faye entered the bar
"You could have mentioned the unhinged Blonde chick that once tried to stab me with a spork was also an unrepentant pervert" Faye said glaring at Naruto
"Yeah sorry here first one's on me" Naruto said as he gave Moxxi some credits to get Faye a drink
"... why do you have a bar and bartender on your ship?" Faye questioned confused on the reasoning
"Hey our job is hard and we need to relax. Not every inch of space has a bar" Jack said seriously
"Also you don't want Moxxi in the field. Trust me on that fat juggs" Rocket said flatly
"Why's that?" Faye asked as she was handed a drink while her eye twitched at Rocket's insult
"Her and Tina are from pandora" Naruto said simply
"... the home of those tree hugging blue giants?" Faye asked dreading the answer
"Nope" Rocket said as he snickered at Faye as she paled in realization
"Tree hugging blue giants?" Naruto questioned
"Yeah there's another planet called Pandora. This one less of a planet of deranged shit and more like a giant forest." Faye said
"Still pretty dangerous from what I hear, the pay for hired merc help is off the charts. Hell it's like 5 million credits a week a person" Rocket said
"But the risk of getting scrapped is just as high as being on my Pandora" Moxxi said as she poured a new drink for Jack
"Yeah this chick on the citadel at Chora's den tried to see if I was interested in joining as a merc. Even offered me twice the pay. I turned it down though. If they're offering that much money it's gotta be bad down there" Faye said as she took a drink
"Really?" Naruto asked as he looked at his drink in thought
"...ah crap" Jack groaned out
"What?" Faye asked confused
"Let's just say there are no take backs once you join your stuck with us" Rocket said looking at her flatly
"One of us one of us" Jack said with a monotone as she drank her drink
"Faye what did this woman look like? If we went to Chora's den could you pick her out?" Naruto asked curiously
"Uh sure. She was pretty gorgeous so she wouldn't be hard to miss I guess" Faye said looking at Naruto trying to figure out why he was so interested in this.
"Well we are looking for more work. Bounty hunting is great but if they're offering a lot of money how can we say no?" Naruto said with a grin as he stood up from his chair
"Easily. Very easily" Jack said with a deadpan tone
"Wait we're getting into legitimate work now? This better be a big payday whiskers!" Rocket yelled after Naruto
"mr Raccoon Bounty hunting is legitimate work" Liara pointed out
"You call feeding the targets goons to the flarken you let Tina keep as a pet legitimate?" Rocket snarked at the asari
Faye choked on her drink at this sending it flying out of her mouth and Spraying across the bar.

"Like hell! Not after I got a feel of those jugs! You got some seriously good work done!" Tina yelled before laughing as she entered the bar fully dressed
"I'm all natural you little Psycho!" Faye yelled at the blonde girl
"... Jackpot!" Tina yelled with a grin at this
"Ok enough teasing Faye. She needs to bring me to see this woman about the job after all." Naruto told them
"Gladly I already have a migraine" Faye said as she got up and followed Naruto
"Hey heads up newbie" Rocket yelled as he threw her a patch which she caught
"A shield generator?" Faye asked curiously
"You wanna get shot? If you're one of us we don't need you dead. Besides the last thing we want is to make our new asari doc have to patch you up of we can help it. Lord knows she'll have enough to fix up due to Tina and claptrap alone" Rocket said gesturing to Liara
"Do you wish for anyone else to accompany you captain?" Liara asked ignoring Rocket
"Nah me and Faye have this. You all relax on the ship and I'll contact you with the info." Naruto told them with a smile as he left the room with Faye close behind
"Whoo! Let's party!" Tina yelled with a grin
(Chora's Den)
In the wards of the Citadel is a gentlemen's club with a somewhat seedy reputation. Well known for criminals entering and starting problems though it wasn't always the case.
As Naruto and Faye entered the club Naruto looked around seeing Asaris dancing on a large stage as well as even on tables
"OK you see her?" Naruto asked as he tried to focus on the task at hand
"Yeah looks like she's talking with some soldier over there" Faye said pointing to a back table
Naruto looked at the table and saw a voluptuous woman with raven black hair wearing a skin tight white bodysuit part way zipped down looking up at a man with black hair that was clearly alliance military
'Holy crap' Naruto thought as he paused for a moment seeing the woman before he composed himself
"Are you sure you wouldn't wish to join our task Mr Alenko?" the woman asked
"Are you kidding me? Only someone desperate or crazy would take work on Pandora! Either of them! Besides I don't think my commander would like me leaving my post to play mercenary" The man said
"Kaidan! We have a mission that just popped up! Captain Anderson will give us a debrief!" A woman in a similar alliance military outfit with red hair down to her neck said finishing a drink as she stood up.
"Yeah looks like I gotta go. Right behind you commander" Kaidan said as the two passed Naruto and Faye
Naruto slightly turned to look at the commander who had passed him
"….you got a thing for redheads whiskers?" Faye asked raising an eyebrow at this before smirking
"... she just reminded me of someone." Naruto said as he turned away
"Didn't hear a no" Faye said teasingly as they approached the back table where the woman they were looking for was sitting
"excuse me miss, we heard you're looking for recruits for a potential gig on Pandora" Naruto said as he approached the table
The woman looked at Naruto and her eyes slightly widened in recognition "ah yes I'm Miranda Lawson. Nice to see you again miss Valentine. I didn't expect you to come back for the job." Miranda said looking at Faye
"Yeah well I joined up with this guys crew and apparently they live dangerously, this is triple pay right?." Faye said as she took a seat across from Miranda
"Ah yes. It is. Why don't you have a seat sir" Miranda said gesturing to another chair next to Faye
"Thanks. Name's Naruto Uzumaki captain of the sanctuary III and leader of the Celestial Shadows." Naruto introduced
"Ah I have heard of your team's exploits. Very impressive" Miranda said as she looked Naruto up and down
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this as this was new for him coming from a human he just met. Especially one trying to hire them for a dangerous job.
"Thanks Miss Lawson. What can you tell us about this job?" Naruto asked curiously
"Oh it's no big trouble. You would be guarding a human base we set up on a planet" Miranda said
"It's on Pandora home of the Navi we have all heard the rumors of how dangerous that place is" Faye said as she took a drink from a waiter
"Baseless rumors I assure you. We are simply testing how humans can interact with the planet and a few harmless science experiments on certain flora." Miranda said simply
"Are the natives intelligent?" Naruto asked curiously
"They are capable of communicating thanks to the scientists teaching them English. But they are a primitive people and some can even get rather violent thinking we are trying to force them from their homes." Miranda admitted
"Are you?" Naruto asked with a firm tone as he slightly narrowed his eyes
"What? No, of course not. We are simply wishing to use some resources for the betterment of all life. Theirs included. However our team does need protection from not just them but any harmful predators that may be in the area. But I assure you a strapping man like yourself should see no issue down there" Miranda told him with a smile as she slightly flirted with Naruto
"Fine we will take the job, send the information to my ship" Naruto said with a sigh as he held up his omnitool to share his information
"Very good captain Uzumaki. I assure you that you will not regret this opportunity. As a show of faith I will even upload half your pay for a week for now." Miranda said as she typed on the omni tool
"Thank you miss Lawson now if you'll excuse me, I need to get my crew ready to depart" Naruto said as he stood up "let's go Faye" he said as the two lefr
"She so wanted you Faye said with a chuckle as they walked away
"Please she was so faking it. I could tell by her eyes. She wanted something from us. Not just so we could sign up for this job. There was something else. Something I don't really trust yet" Naruto said seriously
"Wait, you actually give a shit? Most guys would jump at the chance with a woman like that. Hell I'd throw my name in the ring honestly for a shot at that" Faye said wide eyed at Naruto's statement
"What? I can have standards. Hell you're a slightly better option over her" Naruto said as he shrugged
"…..did you just compliment me and insult me?" Faye asked raising an eyebrow at her captain
"Not intentionally I just mean your more genuine when your being a flirt . Hers flirting felt forced. Like it was a mission directive" Naruto told her
"Ah you like an actual connection. Respectable. Rare but respectable" Faye said as she nodded
"Something like that shouldn't be rare in the galaxy. Or at least I hope it really isn't a rarity" Naruto said seriously as he walked out of the club
Faye lightly smiled at this as she and Naruto left the club to go back to the ship
(Sanctuary III. 3 days later)
"We've arrived at Pandora 2 Captain" Cortana said as the ship arrived above a large forested planet
"Good make contact with the RDA miss Lawson gave us to make our landing" Naruto said
"At once captain" Cortana said as she started fo do just that
Naruto nodded at this as he turned to his team "ok team this is our next mission. From what I have been able to look up from the data dossier Cortana provided this is a dangerous planet so while we are here we will stay together and work in teams of no more than 3. Does anyone have anything they'd like to add before we land?" Naruto asked
"We're all gonna die!" Tina yelled before she started to laugh maniacally along with Claptrap as they all walked towards the door
"... thank you Tina" Naruto said flatly as the ship descended down upon Pandora 2. Completely unaware of what they would soon be a part of.
