Sometimes ideas just pop up randomly.

I was at home after a day of researching sliding at Yerba Buena. We had made some progress, but we still had no way to enable an explorer to open a wormhole from an alternate New York back to Yerba Buena.

And then it hit me.

We still needed to continue this line of research, to make interdimensional travel easier, so that explorers can return from New York, or Chicago, or Miami, or London, or Shanghai back to Yerba Buena.

But we did not need that to bring this world's Quinn Mallory, Wade Welles, and Rembrandt Brown home!

We just needed to open a wormhole to Deadlight World from somewhere in New York City!

We can send explorers there, find Quinn and company, and then slide back to our version of New York!

I went to my desktop computer in my study, opened up my e-mail program, and started typing up an e-mail to Mr. Almquist and cc-ing Conrad Bennish, Jr., Drs. Vladimir Jariabek, Isaac Clark, Steven Jensen, and Diana Davis.

I had trouble sleeping; I was excited to attend what would surely be a meeting tomorrow.
