It had been a while since Tenzin had sent out the call for help to General Iroh and needless to say Amon had used this time to his advantage.
While Korra and her friends were waiting things out Amon's Equalists had all but taken over Republic City.
As Airships and Mecha Tanks patrolled the streets. They had even put an Amon Mask over the statue of Avatar Aang.
Approaching a crowd, we see Hiroshi addressing them.
"It is a glorious day, my Equalist brothers and sisters! Amon has torn down the tyrannical bending government! He has declared bending illegal, and he has the Avatar on the run. Our great leader has a vision for the future. One day soon, bending will no longer exist and we will live in a world where everyone is finally equal! The United Forces are on their way right now to try and stop that dream. But we will prevail!" Hiroshi declares as the crowd goes nuts.
In the back we see 3 Chi Blockers listening in on the announcement before walking into the park.
Approaching a large rock, one of them earthbends it out of the way allowing them to quickly run under it to reveal a hidden passageway.
Once inside, they took off their masks revealing them to be Korra, Mako, and Koji.
"Can you believe Hiroshi? The Avatar's on the run. I'm not running from anyone! Let's go back up there and knock some heads; they'll never know what hit 'em." Korra said about to turn around but Koji grabbed her by the collar.
"Whoa there. You are not setting one foot up there until General Iroh gets here." Koji said stopping her.
"Koji's right, you need to relax. General Iroh's coming with an entire fleet of battleships. Then Amon will be the one who's running." Mako agrees.
"I hate this being patient stuff." Korra groans.
"Yeah we can tell." Mako said glancing at Koji. "How do you handle this?"
"I could ask the same for you and Bolin." Koji counters.
"Touche White Lotus." Mako smirks.
With Asami and Bolin, we see Asami holding Koji's glider and watching as Bolin was playing with Pabu when they walked in.
"You three were gone a while," Asami said as they stood up.
"We were doing reconnaissance. It's crazy up there," Mako said as Koji walked over to Asami.
"Thanks for holding this for me," Koji said as she handed it to him.
"You really should keep this on you," Asami said.
"I can't. If I do, it could blow my cover and right now we can't afford that." Koji sighs making Asami frown.
She could tell there was still a lot going on in that head of his.
However, before she could say anything a homeless man in ragged clothes and white hair stepped in. This was Gommu.
"Welcome back! Hope you worked up an appetite, 'cause dinner is served." Gommu interrupts.
Leading them to sit down, we see Gommu stirring a pot.
"Thanks for letting us stay here the past few days," Korra said gratefully.
"Honored to oblige. My associates and I heartily oppose Amon's so-called "Equalist" policies." He said gesturing to the alley filled with huts and people inside. "We got benders and non benders living together down here, but do you see us fightin'? No siree; we've figured out how to harmoniously co-exist."
"You are a wise and noble hobo." Bolin thanks before eating some of the gruel. "Mmm. This is the best-tasting street gruel I've ever had. Seriously."
"I culled it from the finest dumpsters the city has to offer." Gommu declares.
Hearing this, Asami who had a spoonful in her mouth immediately spit it out in disgust. Casually putting the bowl on the floor, she allowed Pabu to eat it.
Seeing this Koji smirks. "Swiped this while I was up there." Reaching out Asami gasps seeing Koji place an apple on her lap.
"I love you so much right now." Asami smiles giving Koji a hug.
"Aww, so sweet," Gommu said while Korra just narrowed her eyes.
As night came, and everyone was asleep Korra was sitting against Naga lost in thought.
"Couldn't sleep?" Looking up, Korra saw Koji walking over holding Tenzin's staff.
"Nope. I have this awful pit in my stomach." Korra admits.
"Same. I'm worried about my family. I hope they're okay." Koji said sitting next to her.
"Oh don't worry, Tenzin's annoying but he's tough. I'm sure they're safe and sound." Korra assures.
"I hope so." Koji frowns. "I can't believe this is happening."
"It's so crazy. A few months ago, I was in the South Pole kicking your butt in my firebending test. Now I'm in the middle of an all-out war." Korra said.
"Well, I wouldn't go that far," Koji mutters.
"Be honest Koji. Do you think we have a shot at stopping Amon?" Korra asks.
"Why not? Tenzin told me stories about Aang. He stopped a whole invasion with the help of his friends. The odds weren't good either but he pulled through. And I think you will too Korra." Koji smiles. "You're too tough and stubborn to ever admit defeat."
Hearing this Korra couldn't help but giggle with a small blush. "Never have, never will."
"That's what I like about you, Korra. We'll figure this out sooner or later. And when we do, we're gonna knock that stupid mask right off Amon's face." Koji declares.
"Now we're talking." Korra smiles. "Thanks, Koji I needed that."
"Hey happy to help." Koji smiles.
"Hey uh, Koji." Korra starts. Looking at him, she wanted to say something but stopped herself. "Try to get some rest."
"Thanks, you too," Koji said walking away.
As Korra leans against Naga, she is frustrated. Before she could tell Koji anything, tease him, whatever, but now? It was so hard.
Meanwhile, at Air Temple Island, we see several Equalists gathered in front of Amon as the Lieutenant pushes a blindfolded man forward.
As the blindfold was pulled off him, the man looked to see Amon staring down at him much to the man's horror.
"You will now be cleansed of your impurity." Amon declares putting his hand to the man's head and taking away his bending causing him to collapse. "Next," Amon calls out.
Looking to the side we see a long line of blindfolded benders, among them was even some of Koji's fellow White Lotus members.
The next morning, as a thick mist covered Republic City we see Mako peek his head out of a large storm drain across from Yue Bay.
"Coast is clear," Mako said as Korra, Koji, Bolin, and Asami followed him out and onto an observation deck.
Taking out a telescope, Bolin scans the bay for the arrival of General Iroh.
"Once the United Forces arrive, we need to be ready to help in any way we can," Korra said.
"They're here!" Mako declares startling Bolin.
Looking through his telescope, Bolin saw the United Forces ships emerging from the fog.
On one ship, we see General Iroh on the lookout.
"Hmm, Amon had to know we were coming. So why aren't we meeting any resistance?" Iroh asks.
"Wait, something's not right." Koji paused. "Why isn't anyone else here?"
"Yeah…where's all the airships?" Korra asks looking to the sky.
Taking the telescope from Bolin, Mako looked ashore to see it was empty as well.
"And there's no Mecha tanks either." Mako noticed.
Little did they know the real danger was hidden under the water as the fleet approached.
"Something's not right," Iroh said when suddenly an explosion went off confirming everyone's suspicions.
Floating to the surface several water mines collided with the ships causing explosions upon contact.
"It's a trick!" Iroh declares.
Acting quickly Korra jumps into the water while Koji flies to them on his glider but the others unfortunately couldn't do much help in this situation.
"Water and Earthbenders! Detonate those mines!" Iroh orders into the speaker before hearing a buzzing noise. "What's that sound?"
As Korra resurfaces, she, Iroh, and Koji turn in the direction of the sound.
"What now?" Mako looks through the telescope and sees through the mist a fleet of biplanes flying through the air towards the fleet.
"Where does Hiroshi find the time to keep inventing new evil machines?!" Bolin whines.
Looking at the fleet, we see Hiroshi was the one leading it.
As Hiroshi closes in, he notices Koji on his glider and anger fuels his body. "Koji." Hiroshi glares.
Dropping missiles on the fleet, the Equalists attacked the United Forces. While the United Forces tried to fight back they were only taking down a few biplanes while the Equalists were sinking their ships left and right.
Flying in, Koji lands on the side of one plane.
"Ride's over!" Koji said blasting him out of his seat with airbending before leaping off.
Seeing that she had to help too, Korra dives back underwater before shooting up under a giant waterspout.
As a plane flies in Korra bends an ice spike out of the water hitting the plane and making it crash into the water spout and knocking Korra into the water.
Regaining consciousness Korra sees a missile heading her way. Using her bending she turns the torpedo in the opposite direction taking out the plane that shot it.
Swimming back to the surface, Korra looks to see Koji being chased by Hiroshi.
"Koji." Korra gasps in horror.
"Oh no. Asami, your dad is going after Koji again!" Mako gasps horrifying her.
"What?!" Panicking Asami grabs the telescope to see the biplane catch up with the glider.
"This is for Yasuko!" Hiroshi yells firing at Koji.
Flying upwards Koji dodges the attack and hurls a fireball canceling out the missile and creating a large explosion.
From the shockwave, Koji lands on one of the wings of Hiroshi's plane.
Looking at him, Koji saw nothing but anger and hate in his eyes.
"What will it take to get you out of my life?!" Hiroshi snaps.
"If your wife could see you now, she'd be ashamed of you just like Asami is." Koji declares enraging Hiroshi.
"Keep her name out of your filthy mouth!" Hiroshi snaps.
But before he could retaliate, Koji leaps off and blasts part of the wing off with his firebending.
Growling Hiroshi knew that he had to land quickly or his plane would burst into flames.
As he flew away, the rest of the fleet continued their attack.
"He's okay," Asami said relieved.
In the water, Korra had an equally relieved look on her face.
Climbing up to the crow's nest, Iroh looks out to see three biplanes racing towards his ship.
Hurling his firebending at them, Iroh took down two of the planes, but the third one flew in and fired a missile right at Iroh as he hurled another fireball causing a giant explosion and sending him crashing into the water.
Swimming in after him, Korra grabs Iroh and pulls him back up to the surface.
"It's alright. I've got you." Korra said as Iroh started coughing.
"Avatar Korra? You saved my life. Thank you." Iroh said as Koji flew close by.
"The rest of the fleet is trying to get to the lifeboats. We need to fall back." Koji suggests flying back to their friends.
Nodding Korra used her waterbending to shoot them across the bay.
Returning to their hideout, Korra was using her bending to heal Iroh's wounds.
"You must be one of Tenzin's kids. You fly well." Iroh said looking at Koji.
"He's my uncle but I'm adopted," Koji admits surprising him.
Going back to the subject, Iroh looks at them.
"I was prepared to deal with Sato's mecha tanks, but not these new high-speed aircraft," Iroh admits.
"I know. Every time we think we have an advantage, Amon outsmarts us." Korra said.
"No matter what our plan is, he always has a better one." Bolin groans.
"And to think this guy is usually our optimistic one." Koji gestures.
"Amon is winning so far, but we're not out of the fight yet." Iroh declares making Bolin smile.
"I like this man's confidence. So, how are we not out of the fight?" Bolin asks.
"A second wave of reinforcements is on the way, but I need to warn them. Do you still have a way to get a message out?" Iroh asks looking at Korra.
"I know just the man for the job," Korra said finishing healing him.
Bringing him to Gommu, the homeless man had set up a telegraph machine.
"And who is the recipient of this top-secret message?" Gommu asks.
"Commander Bumi. Second division of the United Forces." Iroh declares surprising Koji.
"Uncle Bumi?" Koji said not expecting this.
"Yes, he's a bit of a wild man, but the bravest commander you'll ever meet," Iroh states.
"That's an understatement." Koji rolls his eyes remembering all his visits.
"Ready sir," Gommu said ready to relay the message.
"Fleet ambushed and destroyed by Equalist aircraft. Retreat to Red Sand Island until my signal. Do not approach the city until you receive the all clear." Iroh informs as Gommu sends the message out.
Soon they were looking at a map of Republic City.
"Now comes the hard part. We need to ground those aircraft. Otherwise, Bumi's fleet would never be able to retake the city." Iroh explains.
"They flew in from this direction. The airfield must be somewhere over this mountain range." Mako points.
"Everyone get ready, we leave at dawn." Iroh declares as they moved out with Asami lingering behind.
After seeing him try to kill Koji for a second time, she knew it was time to put an end to this. "It's time to take down my father." Asami declares following them.
But just as they were about to leave, Korra stopped herself.
"Wait, I'm sorry, but I'm not going with you tomorrow," Korra said surprising them.
"What?" Mako said startled.
"Why not?" Asami asks.
"I'm sick and tired of hiding from Amon. It's time I face him." Korra said.
"Korra, do I need to remind you what happened last time you wanted to face Amon?" Koji reminds.
"I know the last time wasn't my best, but I'm not waiting for him to hunt me down. My guts tell me it's time to end this, on my terms." Korra insists.
"Korra, this is not a mission you should be handling alone," Iroh advises.
"She won't," Koji said walking up to her. "I'm going with her."
"You don't have to do that," Korra said.
"As a White Lotus, it's my job, and as your best friend someone's gotta be there to bail you out so your little plan doesn't blow up in your face." Koji smirks.
"Oh, thanks a lot." Korra glares making them all laugh.
"Hmm, my grandfather would respect the Avatar's instinct. And so will I." Iroh said agreeing to this request.
The next morning at dawn, Koji and Korra were wearing their Chi Blocker disguises.
"Korra, Amon is a nasty dude. Be careful." Bolin warns as he and Mako walk up to her.
"Watch yourself out there," Mak warns.
"I will," Korra said giving her teammates a hug. "Good luck. If you're going into the mountains, you should bring Naga." Korra said looking to her animal. "Take care of them for me."
Nearby Koji walked over to Asami.
"You're gonna need this," Asami said giving him the staff.
"It might be hard to hide," Koji said.
"You're going to Air Temple Island, tell them you stole it to destroy," Asami suggests.
"Sometimes I love that clever mind of yours." Taking the staff, Koji straps it to his back.
"Is that the only thing you love?" Asami asks.
"Not even close," Koji said putting his hands on her shoulders. "I know things have been getting crazy between us but I promise you my feelings for you haven't changed. And we are going to sort everything out when this is over."
"Then you better not lose. You and Korra." Asami said.
"I promise." Leaning in Koji kisses Asami on the lips sealing it with a kiss.
As Asami goes with Iroh, Bolin, and Mako in one direction Korra and Koji go in the opposite.
"Good fortune and success to you, valiant heroes," Gommu said sending them off.
After going their separate ways, Korra and Koji sneak onto the shores of Air Temple Island. Putting on their chi blocker masks they sneak to the temple towards an Equalist Airship which Amon was boarding.
"There's Amon," Korra whispers.
"If we hide out in the temple, we can ambush him on his way back," Koji suggests.
"Good idea," Korra said liking the sound of that.
They are about to sneak away when the Lieutenant spots them.
"What are you two doing here?" He calls out getting their attention.
"Uh we were just transferred," Korra said as they turned to him.
"Well, you're getting transferred again." The Lieutenant said before noticing the staff. "Why do you have that bending tool on you?"
"Oh, I uh found it on patrol. Thought I could smash this in front of our fellow equalists and give them a good laugh at how benders like their tools are so weak." Koji said making the Lieutenant smirk.
"I like the way you think. Bring that to the bending arena. We need you both down there." The Lieutenant orders.
"The arena? For what?" Korra asks confused.
"The rally. You should've been briefed about this." The Lieutenant said.
"We'll be there sir," Koji said as both walked away.
"You remember our little sneak-in route?" Korra asks.
"Obviously," Koji responds.
Making their way to a wall, they find a hidden wooden panel.
Going through it, they come up inside the living quarters.
"Let's hide in the attic." Korra points to the ladder.
As they made their way up Koji noticed a cell on the other side.
"Uh Korra, we got company," Koji said as Korra climbed up.
Locked up they saw Tarrlok sitting in the cell.
"Tarrlok?" Korra said as they removed their masks and approached him.
"I don't suppose you're here to rescue me," Tarrlock asks.
"We had no idea you were here. Are there other prisoners on the island?" Koji asks.
"No, just me." Tarrlok asks.
"What makes you so special?" Korra asks not forgetting it was he who kidnapped her.
"I'm Amon's brother." Tarrlok declares making both of them gasp. "Amon is from the Northern Water Tribe. He's a waterbender and a bloodbender, just like me."
"What?!" Korra said in shock.
"How long have you known this?" Koji asks.
"I didn't know until after he captured me," Tarrlok admits.
"How did your brother end up becoming Amon?" Korra asks.
"It all began with my father, Yakone. With the help of his former gang, he escaped prison and underwent surgery to change his appearance. He assumed a new identity and settled down in the Northern Water Tribe. That's where he met my mother, a warm, caring woman. Before long, they started a family together. was the firstborn, under the name Noatak. I was born three years later. Noatak was a good-natured kid, always looking out for me. Those were the good years. Before my brother and I discovered we were waterbenders. At first, we were excited by our new abilities, but our training brought out a different side of my father." Tarrlok starts.
Flashback:
It was a cold night in the North Pole as Yakone had a young Tarrlok and Noatak practicing their waterbending but Tarrlok was struggling.
"Tarrlok, you'd better shape up or you'll be out here in the cold all night until you get it right." Yakone threatens.
"I'm trying but—" Tarrlok starts.
"Try harder!" Yakone interrupts scaring him. "Your brother was never this sloppy."
"Dad, he'll get it. He just needs time." Noatak assures.
"Don't talk back to me! Ever!" Yakone scolds them as they resume their training.
Flashback End:
"Even back then, my brother wanted everyone to be treated fairly and equally. When I was seven, my father took me and Noatak on a hunting trip far away from our home. He told us his true identity was Yakone, Republic City's most notorious crime boss, and that he was once a bloodbender of rare skill. He told us our purpose was to avenge him and reclaim Republic City." Tarrlok continues.
"And that's what you both did. You just used different methods to try and do it. While your brother used the Equalists you used the Council." Koji said.
"And to think you used to be such a bad listener Koji," Tarrlok smirks amused.
"So what happened after Yakone told you that?" Korra asks.
"The good days were behind us. Every full moon, our father took us on another supposed "hunting trip," where he secretly trained us in bloodbending. We kept the truth from my mother. A few years later, my father taught us to bloodbend anytime, without the need for the full moon. We practiced constantly, and I hated every minute of it." Tarrlok continues. "I had no stomach for manipulating helpless animals. My brother, however, seemed to revel in this newfound power. He was a prodigy, mastering my father's psychic bloodbending technique by the time he was fourteen."
"So what happened to turn your brother into Amon?" Koji asks.
"Even though Noatak was my father's favorite, it wasn't any easier for him. He carried the burden of all Yakone's expectations and demands. Something changed in Noatak over the years; the loving brother I once knew became cold and detached. Our father pushed us to extremes, and one day, he made us bloodbend each other." Tarrlok declares.
Flashback:
We see a teenage Tarrlok and Noatak face off with Yakone standing in between them.
"Noatak, go." Yakone orders as Noatak looks at Tarrlok and begins bloodbending his brother forcing him to his knees.
"Excellent." Yakone grins as Noatak stops his attack allowing Tarrlok to breathe. "Tarrlok, your turn."
"No. I won't do it." Tarrlok refuses as he stands back up.
"Bloodbend your brother, Tarrlok!" Yakone repeats.
"That felt awful. I don't want to do that to anyone. I never want to bloodbend again." Tarrlok said.
"You're a disgrace, a weakling. I'll teach you a lesson, you insubordinate—" But before Yakone could disciple Tarrlok his body froze up.
"Stay away from him." Noatak orders getting between his father and brother revealing that he was bloodbending Yakone.
"How dare you bloodbend me!" Yakone snaps outraged.
"What're you gonna do about it? You're the weak one." Noatak said bloodbending Yakone to his knees. "You always say bloodbending is the most powerful thing in the world, but it isn't. The Avatar is. He took your bending away. What could be more powerful than that?"
"I made you what you are. You're mine." Yakone struggles.
"We're your sons. Not tools of revenge." Noatak said turning to Tarrlok. "Let's go. We can run away from him, forever."
"Run away? But what about mom? We can't just leave her." Tarrlok asks surprised by this sudden declaration.
However, that wasn't the answer Noatak wanted to hear.
"He was right about you. You are a weakling." Noatak declares before throwing his father aside and running off into a blizzard.
"Noatak! Don't leave! Please! Noatak!" Tarrlok calls out but it falls on deaf ears as his brother left them and never came back.
Flashback End:
"My father and I searched for days, but we never found a sign of Noatak. We thought he perished in that storm. My mother was never the same after the loss of my brother. My father stopped training me. With Noatak gone, his hopes for revenge withered. And he passed away, a few years later." Tarrlok said finishing his story.
"That's one of the saddest stories I've ever heard," Korra said while Koji just hung his head taking a minute to process all this.
'So pathetic, he tells you one sad story and she's ready to forgive all his cruelty? Burn this cage down with him in it.' The dark voice suggests.
'He's not worth it, we have bigger problems to deal with.' Koji denies.
"Avatar Korra. I am truly sorry for all that I did to you. I thought I was better than my father, but his ghost still shaped me. I became a soldier of revenge, just like he wanted me to be. And so did my brother. The revolution may be built on a lie, but I think Amon truly believes bending is the source of all evil in the world." Tarrlok said.
"How did you know it was him?" Koji asks.
"When he took my bending, the sensation was somehow familiar. I later recognized it as my brother's bloodbending grip." Tarrlok said.
"So he's using bloodbending to take away bending." Koji realized.
"I don't know how he does it, but then again, I've never encountered a bender as strong as Noatak," Tarrlok said.
"How in the world can we beat him if he uses his mind to redirect any attack thrown at him?" Korra asks.
'If his mind is his weapon, you need to lure the weakling with something to distract his thoughts. Like fear.' The voice chuckles getting Koji's attention.
'Fear?' Koji pauses before speaking. "There has to be a way to beat him."
"There is." Korra realized. "This whole time, Amon has been one step ahead of us. But finally, we have the advantage. We know the truth about him. If we expose him as a bender in front of all his supporters at the rally…" Korra starts.
"We could take away everything he has. His revolution, the Equalists, and all his supporters would turn their back on him. He'd have nothing." Koji realized with a smile.
Turning to Tarrlok, Korra nods her head in thanks. "Thanks for your help."
"Come on," Koji said as they were about to leave but Korra stopped him.
"Wait, we can't just leave him," Korra said.
"Go. Amon can't know anyone spoke with me. Defeat him. Put an end to this sad story." Tarrlok insists.
"Don't think this means you're forgiven for everything. When this is over, you'll be sent to another cell, but I will put in a good word for you as thanks." Koji sighs seeing as how he did provide them with this vital information.
"Much appreciated Koji. Shame I could never make you, my assistant. You and I could have made quite the team." Tarrlok said getting his attention.
"Why did you always want me to be your assistant? I doubt it was just because I knew how to brew tea." Koji said making Tarrlok chuckle.
"No. The day Tenzin brought you to the Council, I noticed something about you. You had that look in your eyes. Someone who was lost and had to overcome it all on your own. Just like me." Tarrlok said.
"No. I didn't do it on my own. I had family and friends to help me through things." Koji said as he and Korra left.
Meanwhile, in the mountains, we see Iroh leading Mako, Bolin, and Asami to the hidden aircraft hangar.
"I think we've found our secret airfield. Bolin, once we get down there, I need you to tear up those runways. We can't let those aircraft take off." Iroh said looking at Bolin.
"Aye aye, captain! Ooh, general, general." Bolin corrects himself before saluting.
"Mako, you're with me on fire. We need to make sure that building and every weapon in it burns to the ground." Iroh said looking at Mako.
"With pleasure." Mako nodded as they made their way down.
Bolin is about to follow but stops Naga and Pabu.
"You guys wait here until we get back." Bolin orders. Whimpering Naga raises her paw to follow. "Uh uh stay," Bolin said before running off.
Making their way down the mountain the 4 of them saw fence posts in the ground but no wires to keep them out.
"Why would there be fence posts but no fence?" Asami asks confused.
But as they walked through, they all were suddenly electrocuted causing them to scream in pain before they collapsed to the ground unconscious.
Meanwhile, at the Probending Arena, the entire place had been changed in Amon's image with a giant stage set up in the middle where the probending field used to be.
Making their way onto a balcony, Koji and Korra pretended to stand guard ready to expose Amon for the fraud that he was.
On the stage, Amon rises from beneath on a platform with his Lieutenant, and 5 Chi Blockers standing behind him.
"Thank you all for joining me on this historic occasion!" Amon announces causing the crowd to cheer. "When I was a boy, a fire bender struck down my entire family and left me scarred. That tragic event began my quest to equalize the world." Amon starts using his backstory to lure the crowd in.
"That's a lie, Amon!" Korra calls out.
Looking up, Korra and Koji took off their masks to look down at him.
"Or should I call you Noatak?" Korra corrects causing Amon's eyes to narrow under his mask.
"You want her taken out?" The Lieutenant asks but Amon raises his left hand stopping him.
"No. Everyone calm down; we have nothing to fear from the Avatar. Let's hear what she has to say." Amon said.
"Amon has been lying to you. The spirits didn't give him the power to take people's bending away. He uses bloodbending to do it. Amon is a waterbender!" Korra declares causing the crowd to murmur.
"What is this nonsense?" The Lieutenant asks curious.
"You're desperate, Avatar. Making up stories about me is a pathetic last resort." Amon brushes off.
"Your family wasn't killed by a firebender. His father was Yakone, and his brother...is Councilman Tarrlok. I bet there isn't even a scar under that mask." Korra declares causing the crowd to stir even more. Even Amon's own Lieutenant was beginning to doubt him.
"Hmph, an amusing tale, but I will show you the truth." Amon takes off his hood and as he reaches to undo his mask everyone sees a man with brown hair and a giant scar that runs across his entire face surprising the crowd and especially Korra and Koji. "This is what a firebender did to me," Amon said pointing to his face.
As Amon puts the mask back on the crowd immediately turns on Korra.
"The Avatar is a liar!" Someone yells.
"I'm telling you, he's a waterbender!" Korra states before turning to Koji. "They don't believe me, it didn't work."
"Korra I hate to tell you this but we got bigger problems," Koji said drawing the staff as some Chi Blockers approached them.
Seeing they were about to be surrounded Korra knew they had to move.
"I wouldn't leave yet, Avatar. You'll miss the main event." Amon said getting their attention.
From a platform, Korra and Koji look to see Tenzin, Meelo, Ikki, and Jinora tied to poles and gagged.
"No," Koji said horrified.
"No…they got away. We saw them get away." Korra panics looking at Koji who is just as scared as she is.
Back at the airbase, we see Bolin, Mako, and Iroh tied up with their backs to each other and Asami tied up separately.
Slowly they began to regain consciousness as Hiroshi walked up to their cell doors.
"Asami," Hiroshi said as she sits up to look him in the eye. "Asami, I know I have hurt you...and I am sorry. But I believe that one day, you will come to your senses and we can be a family again."
"Are you insane?! How can we be a family after everything you've done?! Mom would hate you for what you've become." Asami said using the same words Koji used on him which just enraged him.
"How dare you! I am avenging her death!" Hiroshi snaps. "And Koji will pay for what he did to her."
"Koji tried to save me and Mom. He's a good person." Asami said.
"Letting that boy stay in your life was a mistake. He's poisoned your mind." Hiroshi said
"Koji was the best thing to ever happen to me. When mom died and you were so focused on your work he was there for me." Asami said before thinking about what's gone on between them. How even with his new feelings between him and Korra rising, Koji never once hesitated to assure Asami he still loved her. "Look Koji isn't perfect. Sometimes he doesn't know all the right things to say, but you'll never find someone who cares more than him. He doesn't always give you want but he gives you what you need. I love Koji, and the fact that you can't see how happy he makes me proves you and I can never be a family again."
"We'll see how long you believe that." Hiroshi glares when an Equalist walks in.
"The airplanes are ready for take-off, sir." He said as Hiroshi turned his attention to him.
"Good, annihilate the fleet." Hiroshi declares horrifying Iroh. "That's right, general. I intercepted your message to Commander Bumi. I know exactly where they're hiding." Hiroshi said before walking out.
"We gotta get out of here and stop them," Asami said.
"I don't suppose you know how to Metalbend?" Iroh asks looking at Bolin.
"That is a negative, Sir," Bolin said.
"Been trying for years, for some metal doesn't come to Bolin easily," Mako admits making Iroh sigh.
Thinking they were never going to get out the back door to the hangar was broken down revealing Naga and Pabu.
"Naga! Over here!" Bolin calls out.
Making her way over, breaks the jail bars with her paws allowing Pabu to come in and break them free from the ropes.
"Who needs a metalbender? We got Naga!" Bolin declares happily.
Cutting to the outside as multiple planes were beginning to take off some were preparing to leave the runway.
"I'm going after those airplanes!" Iroh said running ahead while Naga scooped up Bolin.
Growling Mako needed some speed when he noticed some motorbikes nearby.
"Hmm." Mako grins getting an idea. Running to it, Mako turns it okay. "Okay let's see how this works?"
Revving the engine Mako raced across the hangar.
"Whoa!" Mako said nearing some planes. "Oh no you don't!" Hurling fire it collided with the plane making it explode. "Oh, man! I could used to riding one of these bad boys!" Mako grins revving the engine and racing ahead.
Seeing an empty mecha tank nearby, Asami got a similar idea.
Climbing inside, she handled the controls. "Huh, what do you know just like a Future Industries forklift."
As Iroh closes in on one of the planes, he firebends himself onto it before it can get too high.
Racing along the wing he threw the pilot out and took control of it so he could go after the other planes that took off.
Back at the Probending Arena, things were intense as Amon had the Airbending family hostage.
"Tonight, I rid the world of airbending, forever." Amon declares.
"Let them go!" Korra yells.
"You're welcome to come down here and try to stop me." Amon mocks.
Growling Koji knew he was setting them up.
'Are you just going to stand there and watch as he takes your family from you?' The dark voice asks.
'It's a trap. I know it is.' Koji thought.
'So what? Do you think that's any reason to let him get away with this? Those people took you in, and loved you like you were their own. Don't you see? This man wants to break you. Humiliate you. Stomp you into the ground! He wants to take away everything you love and laugh in your face when does it!' With each item, the voice listed Koji's rage grew larger and larger as his hands gripped the staff tighter and tighter. 'And what are you going to do about it?!'
'I'm gonna…destroy him.' Koji declares making the voice chuckle seeing he got to him.
"The Avatar needs to be reminded of the power I possess," Amon said approaching the kids first.
'Give that fake a real bender to fear!' The dark voice orders as Koji's eyes glow bright red.
"AMON!" Koji roars summoning lightning for the first time and shooting it across the arena at Amon creating an explosion.
Stumbling back, Amon sees Koji fly in on the glider before landing across from them.
"Stay away from them," Koji growls swinging the glider and creating a gust of air knocking the Equalists away from the airbenders.
As one chi blocker threw a bolo at him, Koji airbends it back tying him up with it. Swinging the staff, Koji whacks him in the face so hard he sends him crashing off the stage.
Electrifying his sticks, the Lieutenant attacks Koji. Raising his staff Koji blocks the attack but the electricity still zapped him making him cringe in pain.
Seeing that Koji was keeping them busy, Korra firebended her way onto the stage and ran to free everyone.
Going to Tenzin, she took off his gag and used her flames to weaken the chains around him. "Where are Pema and the baby?"
"In prison." Tenzin answers.
"Beifong?" Korra asks.
"I don't know," Tenzin admits in a sad tone.
Even though their mouths were covered the airbending kids didn't take their eyes off their cousin as he was in a lock.
Smirking the Lieutenant thought he had him when suddenly Koji reached out and grabbed him by the collar surprising him.
"Where'd the grin go?" Koji mocks with a demonic tone sending chills down his spine.
Yanking him in Koji punches him in the face before striking him and sending him flying off the arena.
Once Tenzin was freed, he moved in and blasted the other Equalists off the stage leaving only Amon.
Without backup, Amon looked to see Koji approaching him. Using his firebending, Koji fires a blast behind Amon preventing him from hiding.
"You think you're scary? Think you can rule with fear?" Koji chuckles softly. "You don't know what real terror is," Koji said with an evil grin that could send shivers down your very soul.
"What is this?" Amon said having never seen this terror before.
Roaring in anger, Koji swings the staff creating a blade of air forcing Amon to dodge.
"You're not getting that easy!" Firing lightning at the nearby speaker it exploded forcing Amon to cover his face.
Using this opening Koji blasts him in the chest with fire making him skid back. Creating a sphere of air around Amon, he suddenly began to choke.
"I'd like to see you, bloodbend your way out of this." Koji taunts.
"Koji stop!" Tenzin yells.
After Korra frees the kids, she runs to Tenzin's side.
"What's he doing?" Korra asks terrified.
"He's gonna take all the air out of Amon's body." Tenzin froze realizing Koji was going to kill him.
Choking Amon tried to get himself free but he couldn't concentrate on Koji enough to stop him as he began to suffocate.
Looking at him, Korra felt a chill run down her spine. It was the same feeling she had when Koji attacked Tarrlok. But what was this feeling? And why does it feel familiar?
"I don't like this Koji." Meelo whimpers.
"Me neither," Jinora said looking at her siblings.
Doing the only thing they could think of the three kids ran to Koji.
"Koji stop!" Ikki said they shoved him breaking his concentration and allowing Amon to breathe again.
Before he could respond Tenzin blasts him off stage.
"You…I had him!" Koji growled turning to them and instantly terrified looks appeared on their faces. Once he saw them, Koji froze. His family was scared of him? And for a brief moment, Koji's eyes returned to normal.
"Jinora…Ikki…Meelo?" Koji said before pulling them all into a hug. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Happy to see their cousin was back to normal they returned the hug.
"Koji?" Korra asks as she and Tenzin approach him.
"I'm sorry, I was scared and angry. I thought I was going to lose you all. Can you ever forgive me?" Koji apologized.
"Of course we can." Jinora smiles.
"For a dozen cookies." Meelo bargains making them smile.
"Deal." Koji smiled as they hug him back.
"Glad to see you're back to normal."
"Come on, we need to get them out of here," Korra said.
Nodding they quickly raced out of the arena before more Chi Blockers attacked. Growling Amon was slow to get up and he was eager for revenge.
Running into the hallways, they saw a fork in the path.
"Get them out of here. We'll create a diversion." Korra said.
"Let's go get your mother and the baby," Tenzin said looking at his kids.
"Prison Break!" Meelo declares raising his arms in the air.
"Uncle Tenzin!" Koji calls out getting his attention. "You're gonna need this!" Koji said tossing him back his glider.
Catching it, Tenzin was happy his nephew was back to normal before running off to save his wife and baby.
As the door opens, they see Amon pursuing them.
Acting quickly both Korra and Koji used their firebending to make a wall of flames in front of Amon before running into another room.
Leaping through the flames, Amon looked for any sign of where they could have gone when the door of the room they entered closed getting his attention.
Entering, Amon walks in looking for any sign of Korra and Koji.
As Korra hid under some tarp-covered furniture, Amon's footsteps got closer and closer until finally, his feet moved past her.
Breathing relieved, Korra thought he had missed her, but she had spoken too soon as she was suddenly bloodbended out of hiding and in front of Amon.
Grunting in pain, Korra was unable to fight back as she was lifted into the air.
"Korra!" Coming out of hiding, Koji releases a blast of fire at Amon who dodges.
"I'm not giving you another opening." Holding out his hand, Amon bloodbended Koji causing him to cringe in pain as he was forced to the ground so that he couldn't interfere. "You sit tight and watch."
Forcing Korra into a kneeling position, Amon places one hand on her neck.
"No!" Korra panics.
"Korra!" Koji gasped knowing what was about to happen.
Amon places his thumb to Korra's forehead causing her to freeze up not even able to scream as Amon takes away her bending before she collapses to the ground.
"I told you, that I would destroy you." Amon declares true to his word.
Up in the skies, above Republic City. We see Iroh flying his plane after a squad of five planes eager to destroy the fleet.
As he closes in Iroh shoots a bolt of lightning zapping one of the planes which cause it to swerve and crash into a second plane.
Seeing that they were under attack the remaining pilots turned their attention to Iroh.
Splinting into groups, Iroh chases after one of them but as he closes in the pilot pulls a lever causing a bolo to fly out and wrap around Iroh's main propeller causing his plane to stop midflight.
Acting quickly Iroh jumps out before his plane plummets. Using his firbending he flew toward another plane and landed atop of the wings.
Holding on for dear life, he sees one plane out in front of him. Hurling a ball of fire, it hits the plane's wing causing it to fall backwards.
Rolling along the wing, Iroh kicks the pilot out of the cockpit allowing him to take control of the plane.
Suddenly from above, the last plane drops a missile on Iroh's plane causing it to shake violently.
As Iroh struggles to regain control the pilot flies directly over him ready to drop a missile on him.
Standing up, Iroh blasts fire straight at the missile pod as one is dropped down on him causing the other plane to explode while Iroh's plane plummets towards the statue of Avatar Aang.
Quickly jumping out, Iroh grabs onto a banner while the plane crashes into the mask causing it to crack and reveal Aang's face.
"Thanks for looking out for me, Aang." Iroh smiles at the statue.
Back at the air hangar, we see Bolin destroying the runways with his earthbending as Mako races around on the motorbike setting as many things on fire as possible.
Coming out from the sides, we see 3 mecha tanks charge at the two brothers but just as they fire cables Naga catches them in her mouth and pulls causing the mecha tanks to fall over and just narrowly miss the brothers.
"Whoa. Nice catch Naga." Bolin said impressed.
Inside the hangar, Asami was using the mecha tank to smash an airplane to pieces when another mecha tank entered with Hiroshi controlling it.
"Asami, what do you think you're doing? You are aiding the very people who took your mother away!" Hiroshi calls out.
Growling Asami turns to face her father. "You don't feel love for Mom anymore. You're too full of hatred."
"You ungrateful, insolent child!" Hiroshi snaps.
Making his tank advance, Asami fires wires to try and slow him down but Hiroshi dodges allowing his tank to move in and nail Asami's sending her flying back and crashing to the ground.
Asami struggles to get her tank back up but Hiroshi moves in and destroys the faceplate so he could look Asami in the eyes.
"I now see there is no chance to save you." Hiroshi declares with an enraged look on his face.
Hiroshi was about to strike when a boulder hit his mecha followed by a stream of fire.
"Leave her alone!" Mako said racing in with Bolin riding on Naga's back.
"Mr. Sato you are a horrible father!" Bolin snaps throwing multiple boulders at him.
"More like just plain horrible altogether!" Flooring the bike, Mako jumps off as the bike smashes into Hiroshi knocking him away from Asami.
Using this chance, Asami grabs her father and throws him across the hangar ripping off his right arm.
Groaning Hiroshi looks to see Asami rip his faceplate off Hiroshi sees a look of anger on his daughter's face.
He tries to counterattack by firing a cable but Asami dodges.
Climbing out of his tank, Hiroshi tries to make a run for it causing a look of pity to appear on Asami's face.
"You really are a horrible father." Firing an electric bola, it wraps around Hiroshi electrocuting him until he falls to the ground unconscious.
With the airplanes down and Hiroshi captured there was only one problem left, Amon.
Back at the arena, Koji looked at Korra as she struggled to grasp what just happened.
"Finally, you are powerless." Amon declares as Korra tries to punch him but misses.
"Amon!" Turning around Amon saw his Lieutenant walk in. "Everything the Avatar said is true, isn't it? I just saw you bloodbend her." He said taking off his mask to reveal his face.
Throwing the mask to the ground he smashes it under his foot before electrifying his sticks.
"I dedicated my life to you! You traitor!" The Lieutenant attacks Amon but holds out his hand bloodbending the man into the air.
"You've served me well, Lieutenant," Amon states before casting him aside sending him crashing into a pile of wood.
Turning his attention to Koji, Amon approaches him. Even though he couldn't move his hands he had one attack he could do. As Amon forced Koji's head up, Koji took a deep breath before he blew a gust of air sending Amon across the room.
Free from his bloodbending, Koji fires a bolt of lightning hitting Amon dead center making him scream in pain.
Looking at Korra, Koji picks her up bridal style. He had to get her to a healer and fast.
Escaping the room, Koji ran down the hall holding onto Korra for dear life.
"Koji…my bending." Korra groans weakly.
"We'll get you to Katara. If there's anyone who can fix you up it's her. Just hang on." Koji said when he suddenly felt his body stop forcing him to drop Korra.
Cringing in pain, we look behind Koji to see Amon bloodbending him.
Yanking him back, Koji smashes against the walls and ceiling before stopping in front of Amon.
"You are a worthy adversary. Just when I think I have you, you throw some surprises my way. It's almost a shame to take away the bending of someone so talented. Almost." Amon said bloodbending Koji into a kneeling position with his head towards Amon.
Raising his finger, Amon was about to press it to his forehead when Koji's eyes briefly glowed red.
"You won't take this host from me. Not when I'm so close," Koji said in a demonic tone making Amon freeze up
"What are you?" Amon asks never seeing something like this before.
From the hallway, Korra looks up to see Amon about to take away Koji's bending.
"NO!" Acting on instinct, Korra throws a punch which transforms into a blast of air that shoots down the hallway and smashes into Amon and Koji.
Snapping out of it, Koji holds his head briefly before looking down the hall.
"No way…Korra you…" Koji said speechless.
"Impossible," Amon said equally surprised.
"I-I can airbend? I can airbend!" Korra declares standing tall.
Releasing a barrage of air blasts, Korra forces Amon down the hall towards a window.
Holding up his hand Amon bloodbends Korra making her freeze up as he tried to subdue her.
"No…you…don't!" Raising her foot, Korra creates an air-infused kick knocking Amon right out the window and crashing into the sea below.
As various equalists ran to the water, Amon's mask floated up to the surface.
"You bending tyrant!"
"Evil Avatar!" Some equalists yelled as Korra and Koji approached the hole.
Underwater, we see the so-called scar begin to disappear from Noatak's face revealing it was a fake too.
Opening his eyes, Noatak had to save himself before he drowned.
As he bursts out of the water atop a waterspout Noatak gasps for air, but unfortunately for him, everyone saw it.
"He's waterbending!"
"He is a bender!"
"Look his scar is a fake!"
"The Avatar was telling the truth!"
Looking around, Noatak saw all his followers turn their back on him before finally setting his sights on Korra.
She had ruined his entire revolution and there was only one thing he could do. Making his escape Noatak jumps back into the water before he can be captured. Firing multiple blasts of fire, Koji tried to stop him but Noatak raced away much to their frustration.
In the attic where Tarrlok was imprisoned, the door opened revealing Noatak.
"Noatak." Tarrlok acknowledges.
"It's over, brother. I'm sorry for what I had to do to you." Noatak apologizes.
Sighing, Tarrlok looks at his brother. "Our father set us on this path; fate caused us to collide. I should have left with you when we were boys."
"Leave with me now," Noatak said opening the cell door. "We have a second chance. We can start over, together. Please, you're all I have left in the world."
A few hours later, we find ourselves at the docks of Air Temple Island, as Pemma and Rohan are reunited with their family they even found Lin.
"I can't believe Amon got you too." Lin said looking at Korra.
"Hey, at least you got your airbending." Bolin said trying to look on the bright side but everyone just looked at him with deadpan expressions.
"Bro, not the time," Mako said.
"Right, right, I'll just stand over here quietly. In silence." Bolin said walking away.
As several United Forces ships arrived, Tenzin looked to Korra.
"You saved Republic City," Tenzin said.
"But Amon got away," Korra said.
"Maybe, but he'll never be able to bring back the Equalists. You ended his Revolution, Korra." Koji assures.
Hearing this Korra smiled softly feeling a little better.
"Yaay! Uncle Bumi's here!" Ikki points.
Atop one ship they saw a man with wild brown hair and a military uniform. This was Bumi, Tenzin and Kya's older brother and Aang and Katara's final kid.
"Yaaahoo!" Bumi calls out waving to them.
"Great, now I have to entertain my brother." Tenzin rolls his eyes while Koji laughs.
"Always a big ball of fun." Koji chuckles.
Meanwhile, out in the middle of the sea, Noatak was driving a speedboat through the water while Tarrlok sat in the back.
"The two of us together again, there's nothing we can't do," Noatak said enthusiastically.
"Yes, Noatak," Tarrlok said with an angry and confused look on his face.
"Noatak. I had almost forgotten the sound of my old name." Noatak smiles.
As Tarrlok looked at his brother, he noticed some Equalist gloves nearby. Slowly Tarrlok grabs one without his brother's knowledge.
Putting it on Tarrlok knew there was no going back. Deep down between the two of them, they were beyond redemption, and sooner or later their mistakes would catch up to them just like their father. He meant what he told Korra and Koji. It was time to put an end to this sad story.
Unscrewing the fuel cap, Tarrlok held the glove right over it.
"It will be just like the good old days." Tarrlok declares.
Hearing that a small tear ran down Noatak's eyes at the happy thought before sending a zap down the fuel tank causing the boat to explode and taking them both out with it.
At the South Pole, at the White Lotus training compound, Korra's friends and family were waiting to see if Katara could help Korra.
Slowly the door opens revealing Katara.
"How is she?" Koji asks concerned.
"I tried everything in my power but…I cannot restore Korra's bending." Katara declares horrifying them.
"But you're the best healer in the world, you have to keep trying." Lin persists.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing else I can do. Korra can still airbend, but her connection to the other elements has been severed." Katara said as the door opened behind her revealing Korra who was just as brokenhearted as the rest of them.
"It's going to be alright, Korra," Tenzin assures trying to make her feel better.
"No. It's not." Korra said before heading outside.
"Korra." Koji reaches out to try and stop her but Mako puts his hand to Koji stopping her.
"She's been through a lot man. Give her a little time." Mako suggests.
Taking Naga to the cliffs above the sea, Korra walks up to the edge. As a tear runs down her eyes and falls into the water she sits down and begins to sob.
Approaching her from behind, a man in airbending walked up to her.
"Not now Tenzin, I just want to be left alone," Korra said not bothering to look up.
"But you called me here." A new voice said.
Gasping Korra looked up to see it wasn't Tenzin, it was Aang standing next to her.
"Aang?" Korra smiles.
"You have finally connected with your spiritual self." Aang declares as Korra stands up.
"How?" Korra asks.
"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change," Aang said as Avatar Roku and Avatar Kyoshi appeared behind him, followed by all the other previous Avatar Generations.
Approaching Korra, Aang puts his hands on Korra's forehead and shoulders before he and all the other Avatar's eyes glowed meaning they entered the Avatar State before they disappeared.
When Korra opens her eyes, she too enters the Avatar State which allows her to float into the air releasing air, fire, earth, and water revealing she had regained the other elements that Amon had taken away.
"Just when I think nothing you can do can surprise me." A familiar voice calls out snapping Korra out of it.
Turning around, she saw Koji with a smile on his face.
"Koji, I-I did it." Korra smiles running to him and giving him a big hug.
"Looks like I'm not out of a job just yet." Koji smiles.
Overcome with joy, Korra leans in and kisses Koji on the lips surprising him at first.
"Koji listen I want you to know I-I love—" Before Korra could finish Koji put a finger to her lips.
"Before you finish that sentence there's something I need to do first," Koji said.
Confused, Korra followed Koji back to the White Lotus compound where Asami and Korra sat on opposite sides of him.
"I've been trying to figure out the right words for days. Between Tarrlok kidnapping you." Koji said looking at Korra. "And your dad trying to kill me." Koji said glancing at Asami. "I realized that you both are important people to me. And how unfair it's been that I kept pushing this issue away. Korra, you were the first friend I ever made. And as we grew up together, I watched you struggle through every element, and every chance you got you would tease and flirt with me just to make me mess up or get a laugh. You're wild and stubborn, and you suck at taking orders but you're also loyal, and caring, and you always put others first. And when you were kidnapped, I was terrified at the thought of never seeing you again. And I soon realized that maybe I wanted to see you as more than just a friend. You're amazing Korra and I love you." Koji confesses making her smile.
"Koji." Korra sniffles touched.
"And where do I begin with you?" Koji asks looking to Asami. "You were my first real girlfriend and I love everything about you. You're sweet, smart, and so talented. Whenever I came to Republic City, you were by far the best part of my visits. And then when you said yes to being my girlfriend, I was so happy. But what's really amazing is that despite everything that's happened between your dad and even my growing feelings for Korra. You were so patient and so understanding with me. You could have dumped me at any moment but you waited because you wanted to hear what my true feelings were. If I wasn't head over heels for you before I am now." Koji said making her giggle. "It's crazy, you two are so different from each other, and yet both of you have made such an impact on my life. Which why…it's hard for me to admit." Koji starts.
"You love Korra don't you?" Asami assumes.
"Wait what? No way, I mean he's clearly still into you." Korra said looking at Asami.
"Actually…I'm in love with both of you." Koji admits surprising them.
Needless to say, the two girls were not expecting this.
"Asami if you want to break up with me, I'll understand. You deserve to be with someone who can commit completely to you." Koji said.
"Hold on. I don't want to break up with you. It's just…what are you suggesting?" Asami asks trying to grasp this.
"I just want you both to give me a chance to prove my feelings for you and this way you can give me a chance and no one gets dumped," Koji suggests.
Pausing both girls took this consideration to heart, Koji seemed to be telling them absolutely everything that was on his mind and while Korra loved the idea of dating him, Asami really liked that they weren't breaking up.
"I appreciate you being true to your word and telling me everything," Asami said breaking the silence. "So you still love me?"
"Very much so." Koji nods.
"And you love me?" Korra clarifies.
"Yes Korra." Koji nods.
"Well…I suppose I can give this a shot." Korra said.
"Really?" Asami asks.
"Maybe this way Asami and I can actually get to know each other instead of just through you," Korra suggests.
"You know I'd actually like that. Especially seeing as how you thought I was an old lady before we met." Asami smirks.
"Hey, Koji said he met you through Tenzin and the council. In my defense that is full of old people." Korra defends making Koji and Asami laugh.
"I guess I can give this a chance. Especially if it means I still get to keep you in my life." Asami said giving Koji a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey don't hog him all to yourself," Korra said kissing the other one causing Koji to blush as red as his firebending making both girls giggle. "By the way...I love you, Koji." Korra declares finally able to say it.
"Love you too, Korra," Koji responds making her day.
After their talk, there was one last thing Korra needed to do.
Using the technique Aang showed her, Korra presses her hands to Lin's forehead and shoulder. Eyes glowing Korra entered the Avatar State.
When the light died down, Lin stood up and immediately was able to earthbend all the boulders around her with ease.
"Thank you." Lin smiles grateful to have her bending back.
Bowing her head in acknowledgment, Korra turns her attention to Tenzin.
"I am so proud of you, Avatar Korra," Tenzin said happily.
With Amon defeated and Korra's bending restored the Equalist threat had been stopped. But the dangers were far from over for Korra's time as the Avatar.
