Another day passes in Heaven with Gwen, Clarence and the cups still in hiding. They keep contact with their families and friends down on earth in the two worlds while the Devil was kept at bay. Gwen felt happy with helping new friends like Dixie, Tapeesa and recently Maile with their problems.
One day, the gang were all outside on the clouds. The cups were playing their usual yard games while Gwen and Clarence took a stroll around the clouds.
"Nice out here, isn't it?" Gwen asked.
"Oh yes. But I feel something's missing." Clarence answered.
"Like what?" Gwen asked.
"I feel like it needs some green. Like a garden. To make it feel like home." Clarence answered.
"Okay, we can make our own garden right here. Where should we start?" Gwen asked, raising her ink pen.
"Hmm." Clarence said as he walked over to a nice empty area.
"Let's start with fresh clean soil over here." Clarence suggested.
Gwen magically made fresh soil appear and covered a large area.
"Perfect." Clarence complimented.
"Thank you. What's next?" Gwen thanked and asked.
"Now, let's have some…" Clarence was about to say but was suddenly interrupted.
All three cups leapt into the soil and got themselves dirty.
"Guys!" Gwen scolded.
"What Gwen? It's just dirt." Cuphead asked, all covered in dirt.
"We haven't felt the ground in a while." Mugman added.
"You guys also realize what getting dirty means?" Clarence asked.
The cups' faces dropped.
Three of the servants each picked up a cup.
"Oh no! Not bathtime!" Ms. Chalice complained.
"Lady Gosa insists you three keep clean. Her rules." One servant reminded them.
As the cups were taken away for their bath, Gwen and Clarence continue creating their garden.
After a while, they finished with beautiful flowers, trees and bushes with a fountain. The couple looked proudly at the garden and held each other.
"Beautiful as always." Clarence complimented.
"Thanks. You too have an incredible imagination." Gwen complimented.
Just then, the cups reappeared all clean and polished, making Gwen snicker.
"Boy you guys are looking polished." Gwen joked.
"Ha ha I forgot how to laugh." Cuphead said sarcastically.
"Oh, is this why you wanted us out of the dirt?" Mugman asked.
"Yeah, we wanted to set a beautiful garden here." Clarence said.
"A little detail you could've mentioned earlier." Ms. Chalice complained.
"Hey, you guys were asking for it when you 'soiled' our garden." Gwen joked.
"Gwen, enough with the garden jokes." Clarence said.
"Fine." Gwen said flatly.
"I'm bored now." Mugman complained.
"Let's go somewhere new." Ms. Chalice said.
"Where should we go this time?" Cuphead asked.
The group thinks for a moment. Suddenly, Clarence gets an idea.
"I think I got it." Clarence said.
"Where?" Gwen asked.
Clarence grabbed a fluff of cloud and made it shaped like a sombrero and puts in his head.
"Oh, Mexico." Gwen guessed.
"Olé!" Clarence exclaimed in Spanish.
"Well, they did invent tacos, burritos and quesadillas and all the other delicious food." Gwen admitted.
"Tacos?" Cuphead asked happily.
"Burritos?" Mugman asked.
"Quesadillas?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"Oh yeah and the best churros and fried ice cream for dessert." Gwen said.
"What are we waitin' for? Let's go!" Cuphead asked excitedly.
Gwen smiled, the tapped her ink pen and the group disappeared. They reappear in the city of Mexico City, Mexico.
"Welcome to Mexico City guys. Or in Spanish, Bienvenido." Gwen greeted.
"Wow, nice city they got." Cuphead said, looking around.
"So, what are we gonna see today?" Mugman asked.
Gwen holds up a brochure.
"We could go see the Aztec pyramids, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Aztec Ruins, watch some wresting. Ooh! I hope Frida Kahlo's in town! I wanted to meet that artist for years!" Gwen said excitedly.
"Calm down honey. I'm sure Frida Kahlo will be around. Maybe not. Let's go fly and see those places." Clarence said.
Gwen summons Cerulean Bolt and the group hop on. They fly to the outskirts of the city and notices the pyramid of the moon and the pyramid of the sun.
"Ooh! They have pyramids like in Egypt!" Cuphead said.
"Yep. Even the Aztecs built the pyramids to bury kings and worship deities. Even the long-gone Mayans did too." Gwen said.
"What happened to the Mayans?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"No one knows Ms. Chalice. No one knows." Gwen answered.
They continued flying and reached the Aztec Ruins and noticed crumbled buildings.
"This place is empty and wrecked." Mugman said.
"Yeah, that's why they're called ruins." Clarence said.
"Let's head back to the city." Gwen said.
The group fly back to Mexico City and approach the Palace of Fine arts and watch Mexican women dance in front of the building.
"Nice dance moves these girls got." Ms. Chalice said.
"Don't even think about it." Gwen warned.
They move on and enter the Temple Major Museum where all the Aztec relics are displayed.
Afterwards, they decide to grab lunch at a local restaurant and order tacos, burritos, quesadillas and chips with salsa and guacamole.
"This is the best part of the trip!" Cuphead said eating a taco.
"Yeah, no kidding!" Mugman agreed, eating a burrito.
"We definitely need to come back here next time we're in the mood for Mexican food." Ms. Chalice said, eating a quesadilla.
Gwen and Clarence shook their heads and fed each other chips with salsa and guacamole.
"Having fun dear?" Clarence asked.
"Sí, señor." Gwen answered in Spanish.
"Sí, mi amor." Clarence said in Spanish.
They both grabbed their glasses of margheritas and toasted and sipped.
"Hey! Don't toast with out us!" Ms. Chalice scolded.
The cups grabbed their glasses of horchatas.
"A toast to another day of fun!" Cuphead said.
They clinked their glasses and sipped.
After lunch, they purchase tickets to a lucha libre show. They watched Mexican wrestlers try to beat each other in the ring.
"Wow! This is awesome!" Cuphead said as he munched on some nachos.
"Get him big guy, get him!" Mugman called.
"Those big lugs are gonna cream each other." Ms. Chalice said.
Gwen and Clarence noticed the cups eating too much.
"Guys I think you need to stop eating." Gwen said.
"Yeah, you guys are gonna get so sick you won't wanna eat Mexican food for a while." Clarence warned.
"Eh, I ain't too worried about it." Cuphead said, ignoring his warning.
After the wrestling match, they stop at a local gift shop to buy some souvenirs. They purchase sombreros for the cups, hand stitched dolls, Mayan wooden masks and wooden instruments including maracas. Gwen and Clarence get blankets, Mexican chocolate and a molinillo (wooden whisk).
Gwen gets a beautiful fire opal necklace and Clarence gets a vihuela. The group leave the gift shop and sit down to rest. Just then, a crowd gets Gwen's attention.
"What's going on over there?" Gwen asked.
The group looked at the crowd.
"Looks like someone famous is over there." Clarence guessed.
"Wait a minute." Gwen said standing up.
The crowd surrounded a well-dressed woman with her hair up and a noticeable unibrow, making Gwen gasp.
"Oh my gosh! Frida Kahlo!" Gwen exclaimed.
Gwen magically made one of Kahlo's self-portraits appear in her hand and quickly joined the crowd.
"I didn't know Gwen had a hero in Mexico." Clarence said.
"Yeah, this girl's really famous for her paintings." Cuphead said.
"Gwen wanted to meet her for years." Mugman added.
Just then, Gwen quickly rejoined her friends.
"Guys! I just got her autograph!" Gwen happily exclaimed.
"Aw nice honey. You finally got to meet your hero." Clarence complimented.
Suddenly, the cups started looking sick.
"Oh, I think I'm gonna be sick." Cuphead groaned.
"Me too." Mugman agreed.
"I warned you guys not to eat too much Mexican food." Gwen said.
"Yep. Now you guys have tummy aches and extended bellies." Clarence agreed.
"Do I need to get Kizzy to make you guys lose weight again?" Gwen asked.
"NO!" Both cups exclaimed.
"Is Kiz really hardcore?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"Yes!" Both cups answered.
"Then, no!" Ms. Chalice exclaimed.
All three cups lay on the ground groaning in pain.
"Guys, we need to get you to the hospital. You look really sick." Gwen said.
Gwen lifts up Cuphead and Mugman while Clarence lifts Ms. Chalice.
"Alright let's go." Clarence said.
They arrive at a local hospital and each of the cups lay in hospital beds. A nurse approached the cups and gave them castor oil to help with their tummy aches.
Gwen and Clarence wait in the waiting room. A doctor approached the couple.
"Hola doctor, how are they?" Gwen asked.
"Well, the tazas ate too much food. They need to drink lots of water and go on diet. No more eating for the rest of the day." The doctor advised.
"Okay doctor. Gracias." Gwen thanked.
"De nada." The doctor answered and left.
"That's a relief." Clarence said.
The couple retrieve the cups from their beds.
"Hope you guys learned your lesson this time." Clarence said.
"Yeah." Cuphead said.
"The doctor said, drink lots of water and no more eating today." Gwen said.
The cups groaned.
"Let's go." Clarence said.
The group were about to leave the hospital when they notice a commotion. They noticed a young girl talking frantically in Spanish to another doctor, but he rudely dismissed her and left her behind. The girl groan in frustration and sadly walked away.
"What's that all about?" Mugman asked.
"I don't know. It didn't look good." Gwen said.
The girl passed the group out the door.
"That was odd." Ms. Chalice said.
"Excuse me a sec." Gwen said as she left and approached the doctor.
"Uh, disculpe doctor. What was that all about?" Gwen asked.
"If you must know, we have her abuela here and is not doing well. But they cannot afford the treatment she needs to recover. Her granddaughter didn't have enough money." The doctor explained.
"Oh dear." Clarence said, feeling bad.
Gwen thinks for a moment and remembers something.
"Wait, I could pay for her treatment." Gwen offered.
"You señora? How?" The doctor asked.
"Name your price and I'll pay it." Gwen said, grabbing her enchanted wallet.
The doctor pulls up the bill, showing 360 pesos.
Gwen opened her enchanted walled and there appeared 360 pesos. She pulled the money out of the wallet and showed the doctor.
"Ah, perfecto. I'll take the money, and we'll get started with her surgery." The doctor said, taking the money and walks away.
Just then the same girl rushed back in, only to find the doctor with the money.
"Doctor!" The girl called.
But the doctor calmed her and assured her they already received the payment to start the surgery.
"¿Qué? No entiendo." The girl said.
The doctor pointed at Gwen, revealed she paid for the surgery. Then the doctor walks into the patient ward to get started.
"Another good deed done." Gwen said feeling satisfied.
"What did you do?" Clarence asked.
"I had some pesos to spare and paid for that girl's grandmother's surgery treatment." Gwen said, without revealing the enchanted wallet.
"Aw, how nice of ya." Mugman complimented.
"Alright, let's go." Cuphead said.
The group leave the hospital and walk back to the city. Suddenly, Gwen felt a hand on her shoulder.
"¡Esperar!" A feminine Mexican voice said.
Gwen looked and noticed the same girl from the hospital behind her.
"Hola. Can I help you?" Gwen asked politely.
"Was it you who paid for my Abuela's surgery?" The girl asked in English.
"Uh, yes?" Gwen nervously answered.
The girl quickly hugged Gwen.
"You saved my Abuela! ¡Muchos gracias!" The girl happily thanked.
"De nada." Gwen said.
"Now, I will do something for you to repay your kindness. What do you want me to do?" The girl asked.
"What's your name?" Gwen asked.
"Araceli Collazo." Araceli introduced herself.
"I'm Gwen Emmons. This is my fiancé Clarence Hopewell and my best friends Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice.
The cups waved to Araceli.
"Tazas." Araceli said.
"Let me guess. Cups in Spanish?" Ms. Chalice guessed.
"Sí. I never seen children with cups for heads before." Araceli said.
"We get that a lot." Cuphead said.
Just then, the cups groan in pain again.
"Oh, you guys are still sick." Clarence said.
"What is wrong with them?" Araceli asked.
"They ate too much food at the restaurant we ate at and now they got tummy aches.
Araceli gets an idea.
"Come with me. I take you to my home and they can rest." Araceli said.
"Thanks for the offer but…" Gwen was about to decline.
"No, I insist. Follow me." Araceli insisted.
Araceli takes the cups, and the cups follow her to her house in a small neighborhood. Araceli settles the cups in a queen-size bed and covers them in a thick blanket. She brews up some arnica herbal tea and gives the cups each a glass. After having tea, the cups started sleeping.
Gwen and Clarence sit at the kitchen table as Araceli joins them with a pot of tea and pours them a glass and one for herself.
"Gracias." Clarence thanked.
"So, what surgery did your grandma need?" Gwen asked.
"Knee surgery. Her right knee has been really bad, so she needed to get surgery to fix it." Araceli answered.
"Will she be, okay?" Clarence asked.
"I hope so. My abuela took care of me when I was little after my parents one day just left me here and never came back." Araceli sadly explained.
"Oh, sorry to hear that." Gwen said, showing sympathy.
"I know how you feel. I too didn't have parents growing up either." Clarence said.
"Gracias Clarence." Araceli thanked.
Just then, they hear loud snoring coming from the bedroom.
"Are they always that noisy when they sleep?" Araceli asked.
"Yep, that's why we sleep in separate rooms." Gwen said.
"They are not humans, are they? Are they from another world?" Araceli asked.
"Kinda. Not exactly." Gwen nervously admitted.
"I figured it out for myself." Araceli said.
"Oh." Both Gwen and Clarence said.
"Tell me. Why did you pay for Abuela's surgery?" Araceli asked.
"I have a thing for helping people in need." Gwen answered without revealing anything.
"You do?" Araceli asked.
"Yep, she uses her talents to help others who need help." Clarence said.
Gwen noticed a beautiful macahuitl displayed on a wall.
"That's a nice weapon you have up there." Gwen complimented.
"Gracias. It's called a macahuitl. It has been in my family for generations." Araceli explained.
"Cool family heirloom." Clarence complimented.
Just then, a telephone rings. Araceli answers.
"¿Hola?" Araceli answered.
Gwen and Clarence watch Araceli listen to whoever was on the phone.
"Muy bien, estaré allí pronto. ¡Adiós!" Araceli thanked and hung up.
"Everything okay?" Gwen asked.
"That was the hospital. Abuela's surgery went very well and is ready to come home for me to care for her recovery." Araceli said happily.
"Wanna go get her?" Clarence asked.
"Sí. Let's go." Araceli said.
"What about the cups?" Gwen asked.
"We'll leave them to sleep off their tummy aches. We'll be back since it's a short walk." Araceli said.
Gwen goes inside the bedroom.
"We're gonna run back to the hospital to pick up Araceli's grandma. You guys stay here in bed and don't go anywhere. We'll be right back." Gwen quietly said.
Gwen kissed each cup and leaves with Clarence and Araceli. They arrive at the hospital and are greeted by the doctor.
"Hola. Your grandmother is ready to go home." The doctor said, standing next to an elderly Mexican lady in a wheelchair with a cast on her leg.
"Abuela!" Araceli exclaimed.
"Araceli!" The elder lady exclaimed.
Both women hugged each other.
"Abuela, ella es la señora estadounidense que pagó tu cirugía: Gwen Emmons. Gwen this is Rosa." Araceli introduced.
"Hola, ma'am." Gwen greeted.
"Hola, mija." Rosa greeted, holding her hands.
Rosa looked at Clarence.
"¿Quién es este hombre guapo?" Rosa asked about Clarence.
"Abuela, esta es la prometida de Gwen. Clarence Hopewell." Araceli introduced.
"Hola, Rosa." Clarence politely greeted.
"Hola, mijo." Rosa greeted.
The young humans escort Rosa back to their house where the cups were still sleeping. Araceli settles Rosa into bed and heats up some tortilla soup for lunch and some arnica tea.
"That so sweet of Araceli taking care of her grandma in her time of need." Gwen said.
"Yeah, she raised her so she's returning the favor." Clarence agreed.
"Hopefully our kids do the same for us when we are old." Gwen said.
"I believe they will." Clarence assured her.
Araceli entered back in the main room.
"Abuela is asleep now." Araceli said.
"Wonderful." Clarence said.
Araceli had tears welling up in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" Gwen asked.
Araceli hugged Gwen, crying in her shoulder.
"Nothing. I cannot thank you enough for helping me. We're really poor right now and you saved abuela." Araceli thanked.
"I understand. Everywhere is going through hard times." Gwen said.
Araceli smiled as the cups entered the family room.
"Hey guys, did you get grandma home?" Cuphead asked.
"Sí. ¿Cómo te sientes?" Araceli asked.
The cups looked at her confused.
"I think she means 'how are you guys feeling.'" Clarence said.
"We're feeling better, just not hungry." Cuphead said.
"Yeah, we don't feel hungry at all." Mugman added.
"Good. You heard the doctor. No more eating for the rest of today." Araceli said.
"Just keep drinking water." Gwen added.
"Got it girlfriend." Ms. Chalice said.
Suddenly, there was a knocking at the door.
"Huh. I wonder who that is." Araceli said as she approached the door.
Araceli opened and there stood Judith Jackson with an icy smile.
"¿Puedo ayudarlo?" Araceli asked.
"In English you twit." Judith insulted.
"If you are going to be rude, then go away." Araceli sternly said and attempted to close the door.
Suddenly, Judith gripped Araceli's neck tightly, choking her.
"I'm not here for you, stone broke loser." Judith insulted.
"Guy's Araceli's being attacked!" Cuphead yelled.
Gwen quickly grabbed her ink pen and fired her cyan-blue beam attack at Judith, knocking her down and saving Araceli.
"Are you okay?" Gwen fearfully asked.
"N-n-n-no." Araceli weakly said.
Clarence ran outside noticed Judith's presence.
"YOU!" Clarence yelled.
"Hey handsome." Judith said flirtingly.
Gwen's eyes widened as she looked outside while healing Araceli.
"No." Gwen said worryingly.
"Wait, wasn't she locked up in the insane asylum?" Cuphead asked.
"Last I checked, Kai-Ming put her there." Mugman said.
"Yeah, but there's been a change in my plans. I prayed for help. He came to me, restored my memories of everything you did since our last encounter. He offered me an opportunity to rebuild my life. All he asked for return is to capture you Gwen and bring you to him. He's put a huge price on your empty head." Judith explained as she held up a wanted poster of Gwen by the Devil.
"Oh no, he's recruiting my enemies to capture me." Gwen said worryingly.
"And my last chance to get even with you for ruining my life you four-eyed scrub!" Judith said with venom in her voice.
Gwen stood up, ready for a fight.
"I won't go without a fight. Leave now or face my wrath… again." Gwen warned.
"How cute four-eyes. Standing up for yourself. You were always weak." Judith insulted.
Gwen stood her ground, waiting for Judith to attack. Clarence bravely walked up to Judith.
"Are you deaf you heartless wretch? Leave now!" Clarence angrily said as he attempted to take her away.
Suddenly, Judith punched Clarence in the chest with a powerful blast from her fist.
"No!" Gwen exclaimed.
Araceli ran to Clarence's aide.
"Woah. Since when could that dumb blonde could do that?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"Since she made a stupid choice by working for the Devil." Gwen said.
Gwen fired her beam attack again, but Judith dodged at a high speed. Both girls engaged in battle and fought each other as the group watched in horror.
"What is happening?" Araceli asked fearfully.
"Gwen's magical and she's being perused by the Devil for her magic and powers for her hand in marriage to take over the world." Cuphead summarized.
Araceli's eyes popped.
"El Diablo." Araceli said in Spanish.
"Yeah, the only way to save the world and Gwen is to make sure she marries Clarence here. We're preparing for a war." Mugman said.
"¿Guerra?" Araceli asked.
"Yep. He's gonna unleash Armageddon on us if we don't stop him." Ms. Chalice said.
Just then, Judith pins Gwen to the ground.
"I was always better than you. I got all the handsome guys, I always won popularity contests, and I always had more admirers than you ever will." Judith vainly bragged.
"It's like I told you before, you thought everybody loved you, but the truth was everybody hated you for the monster you are for hurting people. Your heart is really full of filth." Gwen bravely insulted.
Judith growled and prepared to hurt Gwen when suddenly, her body started shaking uncontrollably and her eyes glowed blue.
"Girlfriend, get up!" Judith said.
"Chalice? What are you doing?" Gwen asked as she caught her breath.
"I'll possess her as long as I can. Help Clarence!" Ms. Chalice said in Judith's voice.
Gwen got up and approached Clarence and healed his chest. Araceli quickly ran inside to grab something.
"Thanks love." Clarence thanked.
"Don't thank me yet. Now, I gotta take care of her." Gwen said as she faced Judith.
"¡Esperar!" Araceli called.
The group looked at Araceli holding the family macahuitl.
"What are you gonna do with that thing?" Mugman asked.
"What needs to be done." Araceli said angrily.
Ms. Chalice quickly exits Judith's body as she gets a brief headache. But before she could respond…
WHACK!
With all her strength, Araceli knocked Judith out cold on her head with her macahuitl.
"Ooh, that's gonna give her a whopper headache." Cuphead said as he winced.
"Ya think?" Mugman asked.
"Wow, you're tougher than you look." Ms. Chalice complimented as she shapeshifted back to her living form.
"Gracias. I only do this if I have to protect my family and my friends." Araceli said.
"Gracias Araceli, that was quick thinking on your part." Gwen thanked.
"I will call the police and have her arrested." Araceli said.
"No, she could easily bust out of Mexican prison. I need to strip of whatever the Devil bestowed on her." Gwen said.
Gwen knelt down, transformed into her celestial form, held out her hands and magically removed Judith's powers.
"Ay caramba!" Araceli exclaimed.
"Yeah, I get that a lot. Be right back." Gwen said.
Gwen heals Judith's head, then lifted her in her arms and teleported away. A few minutes later, Gwen reappeared as she turned back into her regular self.
"Where'd you take her?" Ms. Chalice said.
"Don't worry. Kai-Ming will take care of her again." Gwen answered.
It is revealed that at FBI headquarters, Kai-Ming has some agents take Judith now under arrest to a holding cell, pressing federal charges.
Clarence hugged Gwen.
"Thanks for saving us honey." Clarence thanked.
"No, it's Araceli and Ms. Chalice who are the heroes." Gwen said.
Ms. Chalice smiled and held Araceli's hand.
"Ya hear that? We're the heroes." Ms. Chalice said.
"Sí, I heard her." Araceli said.
The group head back inside the house and rest up. Araceli puts the macahuitl back on the wall. Just then, Rosa entered the room.
"¿Qué fue todo ese ruido afuera?" Rosa asked.
"Nada de la Abuela, eran solo unos pocos niños." Araceli answered.
The group had no clue what they were saying.
"Abuela asked what all that noise was, and I told her it was a few kids." Araceli explained.
The group smiled, acting like nothing was wrong.
"Ahora, te preparo para ti una fiesta maravillosa." Rosa said happily as she went to the kitchen to start cooking.
"Ay yi yi yi." Araceli said facepalming.
"I take it she wants us to stay for dinner?" Clarence asked.
"Sí, she wants to have a fiesta tonight." Araceli said.
"I suppose we could stick around for dinner." Gwen said, being polite.
"Yeah, we'd love to." Clarence agreed.
"Wonderful! I'll set the table and decorations!" Araceli said happily and got to work.
"We'll help you!" Both cups said excitedly.
Meanwhile, back in Boston, Kai-Ming escorts Judith with the Connery triplets back to the Boston Mental Institution.
"For your actions, your sentence has been extended. I guess those therapy sessions taught you nothing." Kai-Ming sternly said.
Judith growled furiously as Barrett and Bethany restrained her.
"Resisting only makes it worse for yourself Ms. Jackson." Beatrix said.
The agents hand Judith over to the staff at the institution.
"Make sure she is monitored at all times to ensure she never escapes again. Take her away." Kai-Ming ordered.
The staff nodded and took Judith away to her holding cell. The agents leave the building and fly back to headquarters on their magic carpets.
"Well done all of you. We put her back where she belongs." Kai-Ming complimented the triplets.
"Yep, we'll help make sure she stays there this time." Bethany said.
"Don't worry Bethany, security has been informed to keep her on 24 hour watch at all times." Kai-Ming assured her.
"I hope she learned her lesson this time." Barrett said.
"She probably won't. Pitiful really." Beatrix said.
"Gwen also said she's got a surprise for us." Kai-Ming said.
"Ooh! I love surprises!" Bethany said excitedly.
Later, the agents are brought to Mexico at Araceli's house and have an outdoor fiesta to celebrate. The humans and cups socialized with each other and ate delicious Mexican food. A live mariachi band performs Latina music.
"Now this is what I call a fiesta!" Barrett said, eating an enchilada.
Beatrix and Bethany socialize with Araceli and Rosa, revealing they are fluent in Spanish.
The cups drink horchata and strawberry lemonade.
"These drinks are awesome." Ms. Chalice complimented.
"Yeah, but I'm getting bored." Cuphead complained.
"Is there any fun games to play?" Mugman asked.
"Sí Mugman, we have a beautiful pinñata that needs to be used." Araceli as she pointed to a colorful donkey-shaped piñata hanging from a tree branch.
"Piñata?!" Both cups exclaimed excitedly.
"Count me in!" Ms. Chalice exclaimed.
The cups run up to the piñata and Araceli ties a blindfold on Cuphead and gives him a baseball bat. The cups took turns hitting the piñata as the humans watched. Ms. Chalice delivers the final blow, and candy falls out of the piñata.
"Whoo! Candy!" Both cups exclaimed.
"Give me some of that candy ding-dongs!" Ms. Chalice said.
Each of the cups gathered candy while Kai-Ming talked to Gwen, Clarence and Araceli to explain the situation.
"So, the Devil's gathering enemies you've faced before to capture you?" Kai-Ming asked trying to understand.
"Yes. Judith was one of them." Gwen answered.
"This is getting too personal now." Clarence added.
"I know. We need a list of enemies you've faced, what they're capable of and be ready for them." Kai-Ming said.
"I'll provide everything I can. My own father-in-law wants me dead." Gwen said.
"Gwen, he doesn't have the right to be called that. The only father I have is Edgar." Clarence reminded her.
"Oh yeah." Gwen said.
"Gwen, I want to fight in this war if it should happen." Araceli said.
"I don't know Araceli. You're needed here to care for Abuela." Gwen said, feeling unsure.
"I have our family macahuitl to fight." Araceli said.
"You got lucky with that today, but next time it could be worse." Gwen warned.
"I want to be ready." Araceli said.
"We hope it never happens, but we don't know what'll happen next." Gwen said.
Clarence held his fiancée.
"No one knows what happens next. All we can do is decide what we do next. We'll see what tomorrow brings." Clarence said.
Gwen sighed, knowing he was right.
"You're right love." Gwen said.
After the party, the agents were teleported back to headquarters and the group returns to Heaven back into hiding.
Kai-Ming makes sure Judith stays in the mental institution not attempting to make a deal with the Devil and escape again. Suddenly, a thought struck her.
"I better check on Misaki. She could be persuaded to seek revenge." Kai-Ming said.
Kai-Ming pays a visit to the Kobayashi residence and knocked on the door. Mrs. Kobayashi answered and greeted her.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Kobayashi. Is your daughter Misaki home?" Kai-Ming asked.
Mrs. Kobayashi hesitated to answer.
"She… she's missing." Mrs. Kobayashi nervously admitted.
"What? How long was she missing?" Kai-Ming asked.
"Since yesterday in her bedroom. My husband and I checked on her when she never came to breakfast, and she mysteriously vanished and stolen our priceless katana sword." Mrs. Kobayashi answered with tears welling up in her eyes.
"Alright, I will get my team on it. We'll find her and bring her home." Kai-Ming said.
"Please, bring her home." Mrs. Kobayashi pleaded.
Kai-Ming leaves and returns to headquarters to inform her team about Misaki's disappearance.
Meanwhile, down in the depths of Hell, Misaki with the katana on her belt is before the Devil sitting on his throne.
"Now that I restored your memories, I assume you're wondering why I summoned you here today?" The Devil asked with an evil grin.
"No." Misaki answered.
"You faced Gwen before with my help, and I admit you almost got her. Almost." The Devil said.
Misaki clenched her fist in anger.
"I understand your anger. She humiliated you in front of her friends and were forced to into therapy sessions." The Devil said being manipulative.
Misaki grew angrier.
"So, I summoned you here because I have a very titillating proposition for you. Are you interested?" The Devil asked.
Misaki thought for a moment.
"What kind of proposition?" Misaki asked.
"Would you like another chance to get her?" The Devil asked.
Misaki's eyes widened then realized something.
"Wait, what's the catch?" Misaki asked suspiciously.
"My proposition is Gwen has gone into hiding for quite a while now. So, I'm hiring hunters to find her, capture her alive and bring her to me. From what I've seen, you've grown skilled in karate and using that katana you stole from your daddy. If you succeed in bringing Gwen to me alive and unharmed, I will pay you 1 million dollars. Would you like the job?" The Devil proposed.
Misaki thought about it.
"So, you want me to find Gwen, capture her alive and unharmed and bring her to you?" Misaki asked, trying to understand.
"Precisely." The Devil confirmed.
"I'll do it." Misaki agreed, ready for revenge.
"Excellent. I'll provide the powers you need to help you reach her. My last pawn I gave these powers to has disappointed me, so I had Gwen, and the authorities punish her for me." The Devil said as he magically bestowed powers into Misaki.
Misaki was ready for her revenge against Gwen and leaves Hell to start her search.
