Author's Note: Hello all! Thank you for the excellent feedback on the last chapter to all who left it.
Someone brought up that Rumi was a battle junkie, so Marvin's Factor might make her feel something different, which is a fair point, but Marvin's Factor doesn't really work like that.
Marvin's Factor amplifies fear and all fear-related behaviors in a person (technically it can be any emotion but that's for later) so the person is going to act like they normally would when scared.
For Rumí that could mean getting her adrenaline rushing and ready to fight, but she's still going to feel fear, she'll just show it differently. But she'd still be scared of him.
Once Marvin learns to manipulate other kinds of emotions then it'd be different, but for now it's just fear.
Rumi would be resistant to it since she obviously has a lot of willpower, which would make things easier on the relationship front since she wouldn't have adrenaline pumping through her 24/7.
Anyway, I think that's all. Enjoy the chapter!

"THE MORNING, IS HERE! THE MORNING, IS HERE!"
Izuku groaned quietly as his alarm went off, and he lazily slapped his hand over it as he sat up.
He blinked groggily, feeling incredibly light yet insurmountably heavy simultaneously.
It felt like someone had taken a weight off his shoulders, but also weakened every part of him at the same time.
His head pounded dully, his mind eerily quiet in a way that made his hair stand on end.
"Ugh… this is horrible," Izuku muttered as he stood, slowly changing into his uniform.
He felt surprisingly exhausted, despite going to bed earlier than he was used to, and honestly just felt like going back to bed.
Izuku got changed and splashed himself with cold water, staring at himself in the mirror.
He looked… younger? His hair was a brighter green, as were his eyes, and his face looked less grown than what it usually looked like.
Before, Izuku could probably pass as an 18 or 19-year-old decently well, but now he looked at most 16, as if he'd suddenly de-aged from some Quirk.
Yet, even though he felt exhausted, he didn't look it; in fact, he looked completely fine despite his grogginess.
Izuku shook his head. 'Probably a side effect of Marvin leaving. Hopefully, it passes soon.'
He ate a light breakfast and was quickly out the door, jogging his way to the train station.
What surprised him, though, was that even with him feeling as tired as he did, he still got to the station several minutes earlier than normal, despite him taking longer than normal to get ready.
'Am I… faster?' Izuku questioned, brows furrowed. 'That doesn't make sense. Marvin was strengthening my body, I should be slower.'
He shrugged it off as a fluke and quickly got on the train, smiling as a text from Momo hit his phone.
'Hope you didn't sleep in today,' it said. 'I have something I want to show you.'
'Really? What is it?' Izuku replied, his curiosity piqued.
'Secret,' Momo texted, and Izuku could almost feel the cheekiness in the reply. 'Come to training and I'll show you.'
From there, Izuku felt like the train couldn't go any slower, and he groaned internally at every stop.
'I could get off and use One For All to get there instead…' He mused before shaking himself out of it.
'Can't do that. Don't want All Might to get upset because I got in trouble.'
The temptation was still there, though, despite him not actually going to do it.
The train finally reached his stop and he got off as fast as he could, politely pushing his way through the people getting on.
Momo looked up from her position on the stairs outside UA and smiled as Izuku reached her.
"I didn't expect you to run here," She said before giving him a quick kiss.
Izuku smiled at her, his arms around her waist.
"You said you had something to show me!" He protested playfully. "I was curious."
Momo shook her head in amusement and kissed his cheek.
They quickly entered UA and headed over to the training room, though Momo was barely keeping up with Izuku.
"Hey… you can— turn off One for All, you know?" She said, half-running, half-sprinting in order to keep pace with him.
Izuku stopped, brows furrowed, and stared at Momo.
"I'm not using One for All?" He said hesitantly.
Momo gave him an odd look. "Izuku, I know what you using One for All looks like. You're using it."
Izuku paused and thought about deactivating One for All, attempting to manually shut it off instead of just letting it go as he normally did.
To his surprise, his body immediately felt heavier, and the surge of energy he felt disappeared a few seconds later.
The dull ache in his head went away too, and his body felt more relaxed.
"Woah… how did I…" Izuku looked over his body in confusion.
"You were using One for All and didn't even realize it?" Momo asked incredulously.
"I… I guess so," Izuku replied, looking back up at her. "I just woke up feeling like this. I thought I was just tired."
Momo blinked, wheels turning in her head.
"So you're saying you—" She stopped, noticing another student at the other end of the hall.
"C'mon, we're in public," She whispered to him before moving towards the training room.
Once they were inside, Momo made sure to lock the door and turned to him.
"So, you're telling me that you subconsciously had One for All active… in your sleep?" She asked.
Izuku shrugged. "I think? I didn't really notice it until you pointed it out. I just thought it was a side effect of Marvin being gone."
"What if it is?" Momo asked. "Marvin was increasing your body's strength, right? Maybe you're subconsciously trying to replicate that?"
"That could be true…" Izuku mused. "But that still doesn't answer how I turned One for All on, and kept it on, for so long without noticing. Usually I have to work to turn it on, not off."
Momo sighed. "Maybe Marvin has an answer? His Quirk changed your body quite a bit, didn't it?"
"Yeah, it did. I'm still not completely sure what the changes were, though."
With that, Izuku quickly took off his jacket and tie, beginning to change into his training clothes.
Momo flushed a little as he unbuttoned his shirt, but she didn't look away. Her eyes trailed over his muscles, which were slowly becoming more defined by the day.
Even though Izuku had done this before, it still felt embarrassing for her, especially since he was Momo's first (and hopefully only) boyfriend.
The opposite was also true as she took off her own jacket and tie, making Izuku blush and look away.
He still didn't have the confidence to look at her while she was changing, which Momo was slightly grateful for given her own shyness, but part of her kind of wanted him to look instead.
Momo quickly shut down that part of her brain and got changed, her face hot.
Eventually, they were both ready, standing a few feet away from each other, ready to spar.
"Wait, what was that thing you wanted to show me?" Izuku asked curiously, glancing at his bag where his notebook was.
Momo smirked a little. "You'll see."
She ran at him and flicked her wrist, a staff shooting out of her palm as she did.
Izuku flicked One for All on, feeling an incredible surge of power flow through him, and blocked, jumping back.
He jumped a solid 50 feet into the air and stayed there for a moment, shocking them both.
"You can fly?!" Momo asked, astonished. "You didn't tell me you had a surprise too!"
She hurled a net grenade at him, and Izuku dropped right before it hit, rolling up as he hit the ground.
"I promise you I didn't know I could do that!" Izuku exclaimed as he weaved through her staff strikes.
"As long as you take me flying sometime!" Momo replied, her staff whistling through the air.
Izuku stumbled a bit, his face flushed as he processed what Momo had said.
"S-so a date?!" He asked, nearly getting hit.
Momo smiled and stopped swinging. "That's what couples do, no?"
She lashed out with her staff, catching Izuku flat-footed and nearly hitting him.
'I have to stop getting so distracted,' Izuku flushed before knocking the staff out of her hands.
He rushed forward, arm drawn back to punch her.
Momo slapped her hands together and quickly pulled them apart, activating her Quirk.
Two halves of a large metal shield formed from either side of her palms, catching Izuku's fists with a resounding clang.
Izuku's eyes widened. "Woah! I didn't know you could do that!"
Momo grinned and jumped back, still holding the shield.
"Told you I had something to show you!" She exclaimed before reabsorbing the shield.
Izuku launched forward and caught Momo's punch by the wrist, throwing his own quick jab.
Momo dodged and grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him in.
Izuku froze as Momo kissed him, before she activated her Quirk, setting a smoke grenade off at their feet.
"Really?! That's cheating," Izuku coughed, trying to wave away the smoke.
"And you flying isn't?" Momo asked, appearing to his left.
He parried her punch with his, and Momo leaned in and grabbed his shirt again.
Izuku pulled her hands off, not wanting to fall for the same trick twice, despite how nice it felt.
Momo's Quirk activated her Quirk at the back of her hand, and Izuku quickly threw her arm out to the side.
Izuku stepped in to grapple her, before a staff shot out of her palm, hitting him square in the jaw.
"Agh!" Izuku took two massive steps back, rubbing his jaw as Momo set off another smoke grenade.
'She can change the activation point of her Quirk that quickly? And can connect things she creates, especially that fast?' Izuku muttered, quickly analyzing what had just happened. 'Her whole body is even more of a threat now. I may not be able to overwhelm her with strength and speed alone.'
Momo reappeared and threw a kick at his head, forcing him to duck.
He shot forward from his crouched position, grabbing her by the waist and taking them both down.
A staff formed from Momo's palm, but Izuku grabbed her wrist, pushing it away and pinning it.
Metal struck the floor, and Izuku's brows furrowed as he saw the staff now at the back of her hand, stopping her from being fully pinned down.
"How the—" Izuku muttered as Momo shot the staff out the back of her hand.
Her hand shot up at him, and Izuku moved away, grabbing her wrist again.
The staff moved up her hand, going up her knuckles and its end moving with it, hitting Izuku again.
Izuku froze, not from the pain, but just from shock. Had Momo really just moved what she was making along her body— as she was making it?!
A column of metal shot from her torso, ripping her shirt and sending Izuku flying.
Izuku rolled mid-air, coming to a stop several dozen feet above the ground.
"Was that the surprise?!" He asked, trying to drop down again.
"Yeah… like it?" Momo asked, breathing a bit heavy as she shook out her hand.
That ability wasn't fully developed yet, and left whatever body part she used it on quite numb, but she was still elated at the progress.
"That's awesome!" Izuku exclaimed, suddenly dropping again. "You're getting faster at reabsorbing too! That's incredible!"
Momo felt a smile blossom over her face at his enthusiasm, which only grew as Izuku began muttering.
"—such applications would allow for even more mobility in combat, especially in tight turns and enclosed spaces," He mumbled. "It could even grow into a new fighting style, where she could create and move things around to overwhelm opponents—"
Momo stopped his mumbling with a kiss, making him do a double take. He hadn't even noticed her move.
"You were mumbling again," She whispered against his lips.
Izuku blushed and ducked his head. "Sorry, it's just so cool!"
Momo giggled a bit. "I think being able to fly is better. Is that one of the other Quirks you mentioned?"
"Yeah, I think," Izuku paused for a moment, trying to remember. "It's called Float from what I remember. It was actually the Quirk of All Might's mentor! She was the seventh user!"
"Mentor? She must've been pretty strong to be training All Might," Momo replied before shaking her head. "Speaking of, it's still unbelievable how you're going to be even stronger than he is, you know?"
Izuku flushed. "Yeah, I find it hard to believe sometimes too. But if All Might believes it, so do I."
Momo smiled at him, brushing some hair out her face.
"Hey, speaking of other Quirks, have you made any progress on Blackwhip yet?" She asked curiously.
Izuku lit up. "I did! I can control a tendril now!"
He raised his fist and took a deep breath, concentrating on only releasing a small bit of power.
A Blackwhip tendril about the size of his hand shot out, latching onto the far wall before Izuku could stop it.
Momo's eyes widened a bit. "It looks like Blackwhip got stronger too. Can you control that properly?"
Izuku nodded slowly and took a deep breath, pulling some of the power back.
The tendril shrunk to half its size and unlatched from the wall, moving lazily through the air.
He concentrated, and the tendril shot up, latching to the ceiling and pulling them up a little.
"Oh!" Momo exclaimed, slightly surprised at being lifted so easily, before she laughed a bit.
Izuku smiled widely, pulling her in a bit as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Unfortunately, the small movement broke his concentration, making Blackwhip detach from the ceiling.
It wrapped around Momo and pulled her in, making her squeak in shock.
Float kicked in a moment later, stopping them from a rough landing as they started falling.
"Are you ok?!" Izuku asked immediately, worried his lack of control would've hurt her in some way.
Momo was red-faced and breathing heavily, but otherwise completely fine as she nodded.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine, Izuku," She said, trying to control her breathing. "Just a bit surprised is all."
Izuku made to turn off Blackwhip, afraid he'd scared her with the sudden drop, but Momo lightly grabbed his wrist.
"Y-you don't have to do that," She told him, hugging him a bit tighter. "I-I'm fine with this."
She rested her head against him, and Izuku shrugged internally, not exactly minding.
'One for All is responding so naturally now,' Izuku mused. 'I barely thought about using Float and I did, same thing with Blackwhip. Is it possible Marvin's Quirk was restricting One for All?'
He wasn't exactly sure how One for All would interact with another Quirk, but based on the vestiges, he assumed they'd strengthen each other.
But now he was having an even easier time using One for All than ever before, almost as if a dam had been broken.
He knew Marvin's Quirk was possibly as strong as, if not stronger, than One for All given how he'd performed against the Nomu and All Might, along with what he'd done in his memories, but was it possible Marvin's Quirk was so strong that it was shutting down One for All?
'But I never used his Quirk. I wasn't even sure if I could,' Izuku muttered. 'And he didn't really use One for All either… maybe it's something else?'
Izuku did have both of their souls in his body, so maybe the two souls put more strain on his body that was now gone because Marvin was?
'But what about the vestiges?' Izuku wondered. 'They're souls too, aren't they? I wonder if they're different because they're stored inside One for All?'
He groaned a bit, having far too many questions and far too little answers.
"We should probably continue training," He said, not really convinced himself.
Momo looked up at him, trailing a finger across his jaw.
"You know, this is still technically training," She said, making Izuku look down at her in confusion. "Well, you're training Float and Blackwhip, aren't you? You're holding me with Blackwhip and using Float to keep us up here."
Izuku smiled a bit. "You just want us to stay like this, don't you?"
"Maybe."
They decided to stay in the air, which wasn't a hard decision for either of them if they were being completely honest.
"Marvin is going to hate the fact we skipped training," Izuku muttered.
"Well… I think we deserve a break, don't we?" Momo half-asked, surprisingly not that worried.
Izuku smiled and kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back gently.
Did he really need all of this training? Sure, there were villains after him, but All Might was there, and Marvin himself would be too. Plus, it wasn't like Izuku or Momo were weak, they just weren't at the level of Marvin and All Might yet.
It was honestly a surprising thought to him, given he usually loved training since it meant he was growing better at handling the responsibilities All Might passed to him.
'But I'm already so far along,' Izuku mused. 'Even All Might is proud of me! But… Marvin always finds something to critique.'
It didn't matter how well he was doing, or how much of One for All he could use, or how good his technique was, Marvin would always point out flaws in their stances and movements, things they didn't even know were a thing.
At first, it made sense. Things like footwork, proper technique for punching, and knowing how to dodge, block, and parry were essential for learning control, and Izuku had made progress in leaps and bounds.
But recently, Marvin had forced them to spar each other until one of them was unable to fight back properly, then would force whoever tired out first to do laps until they collapsed.
It was exhausting, and they were often training for hours each day, with Izuku often waking up at 4, sometimes even 3 in the morning since Marvin made him run to UA instead of taking the train most days.
So despite him caring for Marvin like a brother, Izuku felt slightly relieved he was gone for the moment. It wasn't that he disliked Marvin or his desire for them to improve— Izuku just wished he would get a break now and then.
Momo felt similar. While not as forced as Izuku was, given she agreed to train with him via her own consent, she still felt more than a tad angry at Marvin.
Her staff work was impeccable, and even the private tutor her parents had hired stated that she was almost an expert with the weapon.
Yet Marvin would still somehow find invisible flaws in her form and stance, make her repeat certain katas until her arms burned, or on certain rare occasions, until Momo met his expectations.
Sure, Izuku often disarmed her, but that was because he was stronger and faster than she was, so it wasn't any fault of her own. However, Marvin seemed to think otherwise.
"You're going to fight people who are stronger than you are," Marvin would say. "You can't just be good. You HAVE to be the best; I won't accept anything else."
That, plus her parents somehow learning about her dating Izuku and pressuring her to meet him, often just made her feel overwhelmed. In that regard, the small break they were having now felt like a godsend.
A part of Momo just wanted a more normal life sometimes, away from expensive tutors and lofty expectations that were more of a bare minimum standard than anything else, and with the ability to just do things that made her happy.
Dating Izuku, as much as she hated to admit it, was somewhat inspired by that. It wasn't the reason she was dating him, not in the absolute slightest, she loved him and that was the reason they were dating, nothing else.
But her desire for a "normal" life definitely made her a bit bolder than she usually would be, such as their first kiss, the way and amount in which she flirted with him, and even some of her private thoughts about him, which were something her parents would find… out of place for someone like her.
Momo shook it off and sighed, nuzzling into his neck and letting her body relax with a smile.
None of that mattered at the moment. She could worry about that some other time; right now, the only thing she cared about had his arms wrapped around her.
"Izuku…"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Author's Note: And that's the chapter!
I wanted to express Izuku's and Momo's frustrations here, A) to show that Marvin, while well-intentioned, is rough, and B) to set up something else I have planned.
In case it wasn't that clear, Izuku doesn't exactly have an issue with training, he has an issue with Marvin being over critical and never satisfied with what they're doing, along with the fact that Marvin is making Izuku train to almost dangerous degrees.
Momo, meanwhile, does have an issue with the training, more specifically, the harsh expectations Marvin has on her, which reminds her a lot of her family.
Momo's family isn't exactly explored canonically, so I'm leaning to her being someone who absolutely loves her family, but sometimes feels burnt out due to their high standards, and just wants to be able to relax a bit.
Also, to be completely clear, as I know my language can sometimes be confusing, Momo is not dating Izuku just because Izuku is a nice escape. It just sweetens the deal to her, but she loves him for him, though she is slightly worried about what her parents would think.
Izuku's OFA deal with be explored later, but if someone manages to piece it together beforehand, props to you. It's in the chapters before this, and ties directly to Marvin's Factor, but I'd be surprised if someone guessed it this early on.
Anyway, that's all for now, and I'll see you all in the next one!
