Chapter 21
Held Hostage
"What do you guys want?" i scream out to the two eels angerly, they shifty swim around us. I went stiff when i felt their slimy bodies on my skin "Oh we don't want anything from you or your little flounder friend" Jetsam informs us. Then Flotsam answers "Let's just say we're hangin around" then both eels begin to evily giggle. Flounder who also had the eels swimming around him, looks over towards me and was looking uneasy "Urchin, i do not like the look of them!".
"Nethier do i Flounds! We do not need to hang out with these guys! Unless they can tells us what Ursula's really up to!" i confidently say to Flounder as we both turn the other way to swim away from the eels. I had a 5% hope that Flotsam and Jetsam might spill the clams but i don't think it was going to happen that quickly. Flotsam and Jetsam kept stopping us in our tracks.
"What's the rush?" Flotsam asks, "Going somewhere?" asks Jetsam "None of your business!" Flounder tells them "Come on Urchin!". I was proud of Flounder's confidence!. We try and swim away again but suddenly i felt something grab on to my tail. It was like i was caught in a sprilly piece of coral. "HEY!" i yell "Not so fast merboy!" Jetsam cries who was the one clinging on "You were going to the sea king weren't you?" Flotsam asks who was wrapped around Flounder trapping him aswell.
"Like we would tell you!" i scream towards them as i tried to struggle my way out of the Jetsam's clutches but i was still weak from being dried out from the surface. I didn't have any power in my tail to break free and Flounder who is much smaller then me was equally having a difficult time getting away from Flotsam. We were now both Ursula's eels hostages!.
Jetsam continued to wrap himself all around my body, he was now right up to my neck with his head almost meeting up to mine "There is no escaping now!" he says "We need to keep you two away so Ursula's plan can go ahead without any interuption!" Flotsam says. Flounder was almost completely wrapped up by Flotsam who had also covered his mouth, only leaving his eyes free "Yeah going to the King would be awfully bad! Isn't that right Flotsam?", "Very bad!" Jetsom answers.
"Nosey!" i say informing them of their nosey nature as i was puffing and phanting trying to break free "What is Ursula up to?". "Us being nosey? Look who's the one being nosey!" says Flotsam, "Ursula's plans are mighty, soon she will have all the powers of the ocean!" informs Jetsom "and we will all bow down before her!". I glupped as i feared something like this was going to happen. This is why we needed King Triton but we were not going to tell them that!.
I then ask them about what i saw on land "So she disguised herself has a human girl to disrupt Ariel's chances of kissing the prince to start with?", "That princess of yours to the key to Tritons undoing!" Flotsam giggles. Then Jetsom smiles and evil laughs too "Ursula has enchanted the prince so he falls in love with her!, "Stopping the Ariel getting that kiss! Turning her back into a mermaid and to become property of Ursula!" i cry finishing off his sentence.
Flounder was mumbling madly, i could feel his fear for Ariel. His mouth was still being covered by Flotsam but he could hear every word that was being said. I then let out a huge gasp as i realised that the wedding was not for Eric and Ariel but for Eric and the disguised Ursula!. "Her glowing necklace and sweet sounding voice of course! You let us both go right now you hear me?" i angerly scream at them, Ariel was in real danger!.
The eels just laughed and refused to let us go. Ursula never really wanted the deal to succeed her real intension was to get to King Triton through his daughter. So she lured Ariel into her clutches by promising her a life above the waves which was never to be!. I knew i sensed something fishy, i am glad i didn't agree to Ursula's deal she made with me.
I try continue to struggle to break free from Jetsam but i was still having trouble. Everything i wiggled, his wrapping felt tighter, i was getting exhausted. I felt oursleves start to sink slowly "Weak little merboy! We are going to keep you like this until we are summoned!" Jetsam informs me "Summonded? What do you mean by that?" i ask him. Jetsom when wraps the last of himself over my mouth so i now couldn't speak "You talk too much" says Jetsam.
I was angry and unable to speak but was still unable to breathe. Were kept sinking as i was heavier now that Jetsam was around my body and was too exhausted to swim or fight anymore. He hadn't covered my eyes and i could see that Flounder was still keeping afloat as he was a little lighter then me. I managed to also look down and it looked like we were sinking down into a large rocky hole on the sea floor. There were sharp looking rocks everywhere and it started to give me an idea.
I managed to catch Flounder's eye and he managed to catch mine. I wink at him and pretend to pass out. I made my body go limp which made me and Jetsam sink down faster. "What's going on? I'm sinking!" Jetsam cries, "We're both sinking stupid!" i hear Flotsam say. The feeling felt like we were rocks dropping faster and faster down to the bottom of the sea floor. My ears were starting to pop.
"Jetsam we were heading towards the sharp rocks!" cries Flotsam towards Jetsam who didn't seem to know what he should do with me. Whether to keep hold of me or whether to get go. I could feel his grap begin to weaken. Could this be it? Was he letting me know because he was too worried about hitting the sharp rocks?. "What do we do Flotsam?" i here Jetsam cry towards Flotsam "They have both passed out! Let's ungrip and make them hit the sharp rocks!" Flotsam screams.
In my mind i was like, Flounder and i...sharp rocks?. I wished that Jetsam would hurry up and let go of me already so i wouldn't hit the sharp rocks instead of him. Then i hear Flotsam scream "Jetsam, you getting close, just let go of him already and let's swim!", "Agreed! These two are gonna be history in a couple of minutes if not seconds!" Jetsam answers out to Flotsam.
I begin to feel Jetsam slowly release my body but i remain to pretend i was passed out. I then feel a rush of movement in the water around me "C'mon Flotsam! Let's see if Ursula is ready for us yet!" i hear Jetsam say "Yeah, we can tell her that those two will not bother anyone anymore! I cannot wait for when she becomes Queen of the seventh seas!" yells Flotsam who's voice sounded like it was getting further and further away.
I slowy open my eyes to get my bearings. We were about to hit some very sharp rocks alright. Ones so sharp and one big pierce would each kill us both. I spot Flounder who clevery was playing dead and was upside down. Since Flotsam had let him go he was floating upwards. When i see that the eels have gone, i swim up to grab Flounder. He flinched "Its ok Flounder, its me" i whisper to him "I think we need to be closer to Ariel right now".
Flounder slowly gets himself back into his normal upright postion "But what about going to King Triton?" he asks. I swim with him still in my arms out of the large rocky hole, i then gentley whisper back to him firmly "Right now, i think Ariel needs us more then ever! We are going back up to the surface!". "But what if we get caught by Ursula's eels again?" he asks "I'll make sure that doesn't happen again!" i inform the little fish.
