It was a few hours after the initial revelations and the three teens had been sat in the sitting room, with Daphne and Neville just explaining things to Harry. Even when Lily fell asleep, they just asked Dipsy to put her in the crib and continued talking. Harry learned that he was Heir to the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and there was potential for others. They explained all the different house types, how that related to the Wizengamot (That he had a vote on once he came of age) and how important his family actually was.
It turns out the Potter's had been founding members of the Wizengamot and were involved in the politics of Great Britan even before that, having come to the isles during the initial Roman conquest as the Potter Family, then the House of Plasmator. Alongside the Longbottom Family they deployed Battle Mages in support of the Roman legions. Apparently, his family was in a longstanding alliance with Neville's and that he was also one of the wealthiest people on the Isles. Although Harry was brimming with questions, they'd both asked that he hold onto them until the end as there was quite a bit to get through.

As Daphne and Neville started on some basic etiquette Harry had a lightbulb moment "Oh my god, no wonder Malfoy hates me!"

"What do you mean?" Daphne asked.

"Well, when we were on the train before our first year, Malfoy… I mean Heir Malfoy… barged into our compartment and forcibly introduced himself too me. He seemed to insult my new friends which put me on the defensive and I didn't even shake his hand. I always wondered why he seemed to hate me so much but after what you and Neville have just explained to me, I insulted him grievously!" Harry said as he put his face into his hands and groaned "God, I'm going to have to apologise to Malfoy… Ron's going to lose his mind!"

Daphne just laughed "Well I know he can be rather rude, but it sounds like you do owe him an apology." Daphne, who had moved to sit next to him after Dipsy had taken Lily, suddenly leaned in closer so that their shoulders were touching. "Look, it's getting late and we have all summer to go through all this, in addition to our homework… how about tomorrow I sit down with you and we can go over how best to apologise to Heir Malfoy?" She asked with a gentle smile on her face.

Harry looked her in the eyes and was betrayed by his mind immediately, with thoughts such as "Her eyes are so blue… I wonder what her lips taste like…" before his brain could betray him any further, he stuttered out "Uh…yea-yeah that sounds…good. Thank you Daphne." Causing Daphne to smile demurely, as if reading his traitorous mind.

Daphne then stood, Harry so flustered he barely noticed, then she bent back down so their faces were right next to each other and whispered, "Good night Harry." Gently brushing a kiss against his check and strutted out of the sitting room, closing the door gently as she left.

Harry was frozen in place, he'd never kissed or been kissed and this blonde goddess who was also apparently the mother of his child, future child, will be…. Harry no think good.

"Harry? Are you ok?" Harry suddenly heard Neville asking.

"Uh" Harry said very eloquently, as he sat there dumbly for a while.

"Neville, I'm really struggling today." Harry finally said, "Would it be alright if I crashed here tonight?"

"Oh, yeah of course, follow me Harry, I'll take you to the guest wing." Neville said, a look of happiness crossing Neville's face that Harry hadn't seen before. This flash of emotion made Harry think about his interactions with Neville over the past three years.
As Neville led Harry towards the guest wing Harry came to a realisation, Neville had always supported Harry, maybe not vocally, but he always stood by Harry.

"Hey Neville…" Harry said to the back of Neville's head "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for not being a better friend. This day has caused me to think a lot about the past three years and I've just realised that you've always been there for me, but I've done nothing to return the support you've shown me. I promise to do better into the future."

When Harry finished, Neville stopped in the middle of the hallway they were currently in. "Thank you Harry, Dumbledore always told me that you were just dealing with a lot and that you of course appreciated everything I did."

Harry looked at Neville confused "Neville, how often does Dumbledore talk to you about me?"

"Oh, umm. Quite often actually, I've asked him a few times about having you over during summer break but he just tells me you're safe and that he is taking care of everything."

"Oh ok…" Harry said. With that Neville started walking again and Harry stayed silent, there were so many things he'd learnt in the past few hours, things about his life that he felt he should have known so much earlier, but Harry was feeling burnt out due to information overload and just felt like sleeping.

Once Neville had shown Harry the guest room he could use, Neville pointed out the ensuite. As Neville was about to leave, he turned around suddenly.

"Hey, uh Harry. Just so you know, I always got the feeling things weren't great at your relative's house, so uh… if you want, and you don't have too... but if you wanted to you could stay here for the rest of summer?" Neville asked hesitantly.

Harry was touched that Neville offered "You know what Neville, I'd love that. If it's not a burden of course..."

With Harry's response, Neville's face lit up with happiness. "Of course it isn't! Can I send Notty to go grab your stuff?" Neville asked, however before Harry could respond he continued "Oh I can show you the greenhouses! And I know I'm not a flier, but you'll love the Quidditch pitch! Oh and... uh well you can also spend some time with Daphne and your daughter as well…" Neville suddenly stopped his rant as he realised he'd begun rambling.

Harry just smiled at Neville, too exhausted to poke fun "That would be great Neville and I look forward to all of that. It'll also make it easier for me to learn all this stuff I should have already been taught…" Harry said trailing off at the end, when he looked up he realised Neville had misinterpreted his statement "Not by you Neville, there are adults in my life like Headmaster Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall who knew my living situation and my history and still did nothing about it. You and Daphne have told me more about my family than the Headmaster has in the past 3 years and that means a lot to me Neville, so thank you."

Neville breathed out a sigh of relief "How about you help me with some spellcasting, and I'll help you with this Heir stuff over the summer then?"

"Sounds good Nev, could you have Notty drop my stuff off in here and we can plan it out tomorrow over breakfast. I'm sorry Neville but I feel like death on my feet at the moment." Harry said with a smile.

"Oh right, yeah sorry Harry. G'Night!" Neville wish Harry well as he closed the door, Harry heard Neville call out Notty through the door and after a few minutes, during which Harry was exploring the room, his trunk, broom and cloths appeared in a neat pile at the foot of the bed.
Harry was blown away by the room, Harry had been expecting something similar to their bunk rooms in Gryffindor House, however it was a very well appointed room with a queen sized four-poster bed sitting against the far end of the room a chest of draws, a cupboard and paintings of battles and castles that appeared to range from the Roman era all the way to The War of the Roses.

After a quick shower and his usual nightly ablations, Harry packed his small collection of clothes in the draws and then dragged himself into the bed where before he could even begin to think over everything he'd learnt, Hypnos took him.

Daphne was feeling happy but tired, although yesterday hadn't started how she had hoped it certainly ended in a better place than she could have dreamed. Finding out that everything Malfoy had ever said in the common room about Harry Potter had been complete fabrication had been a soothing balm to her emotions and stress level. Additionally, to see him react to her the way he did certainly increased her confidence in being able to, at worst, cooperate with him while raising Lily, though his blushing indicated she might be able to secure him for herself as well. That thought caused a warmth to spread through her chest, she'd always resigned herself to some political marriage for the good of the Greengrass family left to rot in a manse somewhere while her husband "enjoyed himself elsewhere" however she thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with Potter yesterday and it certainly helped that was quite easy on the eyes up close.

Daphne, who was still lying in bed, stretched her entire body and groaned a little, she'd only had Lily with her three nights and last night had been the best so far, she'd only had to wake three times after all. She wasn't sure what was going on but rationally she knew her adaption to Lily wasn't normal, there must have been magic involved for her to just accept the fact she was a mother and that caring for the child was just normal now. This was even though she was still only a fourteen-year-old girl who hadn't even had a boyfriend yet… though hopefully that last statement wouldn't be true for much longer.

Daphne cast her thoughts aside and, after checking to make sure Lily was still sound asleep, headed over to her bathroom to get ready for the day. While she was rinsing herself under the sinfully comfortable water, she thought about her objectives for today. Long-term she needed to get closer to Potter… Harry, she needed to just call him Harry… there was no way she was raising Lily on her own and her preferred outcome would be eventual marriage, another thing to consider was that she couldn't go back to the Slytherin Common Room with a baby, it wouldn't be safe for her or Lily especially once they found out who the father was, that meant she needed Harry's support to get a private room or transfer to Gryffindor once they got back to Hogwarts.
On her list of medium-term objectives was to bring Harry up to speed on pureblood traditions and history, including specifically his Potter history, they would need to get some serious study done over the summer to make sure he stopped alienating pureblood families.
Some of her more immediate goals were a little more attainable, she was going to do her best to foster the growth of friendship between Harry and her cousin Neville he was more open minded than she thought Harry's other friends were going to be and she'd need an ally if she was going to survive alongside Harry.

The last major immediate goal was to get Harry to Gringotts, not only had she promised the Potter Account Manager that she'd get him there but if they could identify a suitable existing Potter property, they could move into it together keeping them together over the holiday breaks. There was also the added benefit for Harry that she'd heard his living conditions with his relatives (NOT family, as he'd stressed) weren't good, if not abusive, so she needed to get him away from them. Additionally, she was certain that once her family returned from the continent that she'd be banished from the family therefore a selfish part of Daphne NEEDED Harry to secure accommodations away from his relatives.

As Daphne was drying off, a towel for her body and a quick drying spell for her hair, she heard Lily stirring so hurried to get dressed before heading out to scoop up the adorable little monster that had taken over her life.

As Daphne headed towards the dining room with Lily in her arms, she saw that Neville and Harry were already deep in conversation at the table. From the sounds of it Neville was going through some of the history regarding the Potter-Longbottom Alliance.

"So you're saying that our fathers grew up together and the only reason they weren't closer was because your dad was a few years older?" Harry asked as Daphne approached the table.

"Yes, when I was reading one of my dad's old journals, he spoke about be an honorary marauder, whatever that means." Neville responded; she'd never seen her cousin so comfortable with someone before.

"Good morning gentlemen." Daphne called out as she went to sit down next to Harry, she figured any chances she got to be close to him she would take full advantage of. It appeared however that Harry had another idea.

"Good morning Daphne and hello little Lily." Harry said as he zoned in on his daughter. Daphne wondered if Harry was experiencing the same odd drive to protect and comfort her, he did make a comment last night…

"Daphne, sorry, I was thinking Lily could sit in between us?" Harry said, switching his emerald eyes from Lily to her. "Not that I don't want to sit next to you, I was just thinking we could share feeding time. You know, like parents would?"

Daphne put a sweet smile on her face but internally she was cheering "Sure Harry. We'll just need to switch the highchair over to here."

As soon as they were all seated food began appearing on the table and the teens (and child) began eating. While Harry switched between feeding himself and Lily, Daphne decided to set some of her plans in motion. "Harry, I was thinking. It might be a good idea if we went to Gringotts Bank sometime today. I tried to contact you through the bank a few days ago and your bank manager pointed out that he'd not seen you and wanted to see you as soon as possible. It would also be a good chance to check out the condition of the untenanted Potter properties?" She asked innocently "Not that your hospitality hasn't been wonderful Neville, but you know what they say about guests. They're kind of like fresh fish, after three days they're not as pleasant to have around the house."

At this statement, Neville began protesting but Harry seemed convinced. "I agree with Daphne, I am curious to see what I own and talk with my account manager. Given my… current living arrangement… I find it hard to believe my parents would want me going to my aunt and uncle. I'd like to read their wills if the Goblins have them."

At first Daphne had been happy that Harry had agreed with her, however became worried when she heard that Harry hadn't heard his parents wills. Why would something like this be kept from him?

She leant over so that she could see him past Lily "Harry, after what you just said it might be best for us to put Gringotts at the top of your list of things to do. If it's ok with you, I'd like to come with you just to provide you advice and also help out in case the goblins try to take advantage of you."

Daphne looked over as she finished her sentence and noticed the look of surprise on Harry's face and panicked "Did I…I mean, I'm sorry if I'm being a bit presumptive but I assumed you'd not been to…" However she was cut off before she could ramble further.

"Oh, sorry Daphne, no don't freak out. I'm just so used to others making decisions for me or assuming they'd be there, that to have someone ask my permission AND act in my best interests is just a little surprising… I was going to ask if you or Neville could come with me anyway, as you're right. The most interactions I've ever had with the goblins was to visit my vault for the first time with Hagrid back in First Year."

"Harry… dare I ask who has your vault key if you've only ever visited it once 3 years ago?" Daphne asked, panic setting in again but this time for Harry's wellbeing and not hers. "Before you answer, just know that you and ONLY you are the person that should have your vault key. Even some married couples don't share personal vault keys." Neville, who was also taken aback by what Harry had said jumped in then.

"Yeah, to be honest Harry I don't even let my Nan have my trust vault key unless she really pushes the point. With that key anyone can do anything with your money, as it's assumed by having the key in their possession that they have the ultimate trust of the vault owner."

Harry just sat there stunned. Hagrid was in possession of his key when he first went to Gringotts and then no one said anything when he gave it to Molly Weasley. He realised in that moment that he had no idea where his key was…

"I uhh… I think Molly Weasley has my key…" Harry said, suddenly feel ashamed.

Harry felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up into Daphne's eyes "Look Harry, don't be ashamed you had no idea. I'm sure the Weasley's haven't done anything they haven't told you about first and it's not like it stops you from accessing your vault. It will just take a little longer that's all." She said with a gently smile "I would advise against it, as their family aren't the biggest fans of Slytherins, but we could swing past and grab it from them on our way to Gringotts if you like?"

Harry looked down at the table in thought. "No, it's ok. I think we need to sort a lot of things out before seeing anyone else." Harry looked up again, Daphne was getting the feeling from the look in his eyes that he was just as apprehensive of walking into a house full of Weasley's as she was.

"Very well then, why don't we finish breakfast, get ready and we can head straight to Gringotts. Harry it might be a good idea if you wear something that hides who you are and about spending time with others, I agree, let's get the really important decisions made before seeing anyone else." Daphne said while turning back to her breakfast.

*Page Break*

Daphne was glad Harry had agreed to the plan, she was enjoying the level of influence she appeared to have over him and all it took was to treat him with respect and a small amount of affection. If Daphne was honest, she was a little concerned about what Harry had been through for that to work…

As they finished breakfast, Harry decided to head back to his room to get ready, however when Daphne got up to leave as well, her cousin asked her to stay.

"Daphne, I just want to ask. You're not using Harry, are you? I might not be his best mate like Ron and he might not think of me as one but he's as good as my brother…"

Daphne was taken aback that Neville had noticed her small manipulations. "No Neville, I will admit that there is an outcome that I'd prefer but from what I've seen, a positive outcome for Lily and I would be a positive outcome for Harry. I want a roof over our heads and a little protection from the harsh world outside pureblood manors, while Harry wants a new place to live, needs information and an education about pureblood society and he seems to like the respect and affection I'm more than happy to give him." Daphne said matter-of-factly in response.

Neville seemed to stop and think over her response. "Ok, just don't hurt him. Harry doesn't have many close friends and I'm not blind to the closeness that seems to have developed in the short amount of time we've all spent together. I have also noticed the way he seems to lean on and listen to you, you've somehow become a surrogate Hermione if not something more important to him. If I find out you're taking liberties with him I won't let our blood relation stop me from taking revenge"

Daphne was taken aback at the sudden fire she saw in her cousin; it actually earned him some respect from her. "Don't worry Neville, I've no intention of harming the father of my child. Future me seemed to love Harry completely and I have every intention of finding out whether it's possible to find that earlier than she appeared too. He is smarter than I thought, more gentlemanly than I expected and more importantly he treats me as an advisor as opposed to a trophy. If he keeps this up I might just marry him." While she'd started out all serious, the last sentence was a joke aimed at defusing the tension in the room.

Neville visibly relaxed, lucky for her Neville being a Gryffindor wore his heart on his sleeve, so Daphne knew it was genuine.

"Thank you Daphne. Let's go make sure he has appropriate dress clothes for such an important Gringotts meeting and I've also no issue with Dipsey watching Lily while you're gone."

Unfortunately, it turned out Harry only had two options when it came to outfits, horrible, oversized muggle clothes that she'd seen him wear when he first arrived or his school robes. Neville ended up lending him a some of his clothes, though they were still too big, while a trip to Madam Malkin's was added to the list of destinations before they went to Gringotts.

Once dressed they laid a sleeping Lily down with promises from Dipsey that she'd look after her, then Daphne and Harry floo'd to the Leaky Cauldron. Once there, they quickly rushed to Madam Malkin's to get Harry fitted for robes more appropriate for his station as an Heir to an Ancient and Most Noble House.
Harry was horrified when he heard the prices, but Daphne assured him it was nothing in the grand scheme of things and that he would get plenty of use from them both inside and outside Hogwarts. They settled with a promissory note since Harry have enough Galleons on him.

As they ascended the stairs, Daphne's hand gently resting in the nook of Harry's arm, she took a moment to give Harry a quick once over. The clothes they'd…well…she'd selected had been expensive, but they looked absolutely fantastic on him, they also hid him quite well as she'd made sure to get a robe with a hood which didn't hide his face but hid his hair and scar at least.
She then realised she'd best coach Harry a little on interacting with goblins before entering the bank. If she'd learnt anything from their impromptu lesson on pureblood etiquette, it was that he would appreciate the advice.

"Now Harry." She said, stopping him gently by pulling on his arm. "Although wizards expect respect and if you're below them outright fawning, goblins only respect strength. They come off rude to wizards but from what my father has explained to me, it's because we come off as weak and dishonourable in goblin culture. Speak clearly, don't waste time with fluff and when you are greeting or saying goodbye to them, make sure to say something about them earning money or defeating their enemies."

The moment Harry realised she was trying to teach him about goblin culture any annoyance with being stopped so close to their goal vanished. Obviously the 2 or so hours clothes shopping hadn't been as enjoyable for him as it had been for Daphne. He appeared to be listening intently while she spoke and then quietly thank her when she finished, continuing to lead them through the large front doors of the bank.

As Harry was leading her to the teller desks, Daphne kept an eye out for anyone who might know her or Harry. There weren't many people in the bank at this time, most parents will have gotten their banking done before their children returned from Hogwarts, however there was a smattering of witches and wizards about. Thankfully none of them she recognised and since they were all too engaged in their own business, they paid no heed to Harry and Daphne as they waited to be called forward.

"Wizard" the goblin said bluntly "What business do you have with Gringotts?"

Daphne prayed to merlin that Harry was creative with greetings.

"Hello, uh Teller. May your vaults overflow with gems." She heard Harry say with just enough confidence to sound like he meant it.

"And may your blade never dull, wizard, now hurry up! What business do you have with Gringotts?!"

"Ahh, I wi…need to speak with my account manager. My name is Harry Potter." Harry said, Daphne was glad to hear he wasn't asking but demanding. Daphne grinned, maybe he wouldn't be as much work as she first thought.

"Very well. Do you have your vault key to confirm your identity?" The goblin said, Harry just shook his head. "Fine, hand out over the basin please" Harry did as he was asked, his left hand as Daphne was holding his right and with a quick flash the goblin sliced open his hand, with blood dripping into the basin. The goblin looked at his desk and just nodded. "Sharptongue! Take these two to the Potter Account Manager's office."

"Yes Teller." Said a smaller goblin who was stood off to the side. "This way." The goblin beckoned them to follow as it started walking immediately. Daphne noticed that Harry was staring at his hand, so she quickly whispered in his ear "The blades have healing and numbing charms I've heard." Harry looked over at her with surprise and then mouth 'thank you'.

As they approached the door numbered 25, a loud train of gobbledegook was spoken harshly, causing the goblin leading them to stop suddenly in front of the door. The goblin turned and looked directly at Daphne. "Witch, is your name Daphne Greengrass?" she nodded "Well, I've been asked to escort you to see the Greengrass account manager. Mr. Potter you may enter this door and I will return with Miss Greengrass once her business with the Greengrass account manager is done." Daphne looked to Harry, who smiled at her and then turned to reach for the door, Daphne let her hand drop from his elbow and suddenly feeling like she didn't want to leave him.

"This way." the smaller goblin said, directing Daphne to follow it.

As Daphne followed the little goblin, she felt a lead weight settle in her stomach, she had a feeling she knew what this meeting was going to be about and she was feeling the panic set in. She felt like she'd not had enough time with Harry to guarantee a favourable outcome and worried she had some rough years ahead of…. Daphne felt her heart beating staccato in her chest, what about Lily?

As they arrived at a door number 48, Daphne stopped outside and forced herself to calm down, there was no use in panicking, and she would just take whatever came. With one last deep breath, Daphne reached out and grasped the doorhandle.
