I was at home doing my homework before it would be done before I leave for the club meeting. Mary Anne texted me awhile ago saying she got some news to give and she wants to call at Claudia's during the meeting so she can tell all of us. I replied her saying it was fine. We can't wait to meet up with them for Dawn's birthday coming up.
By the time, I was finished, it was almost time for me to leave for the meeting. Charlie had to leave early, so I decided to leave with him. I was at Claudia's about 20 minutes early. No one was there yet.
"Charlie wanted to leave early to spend time with his friends, so I figured I'd leave with him to make things easily," I said.
At Claudia's, the phone rang and I picked up.
"Hello," I said.
"Hi, Kristy," said Mary Anne.
"Hi, Mary Anne," I said.
"Is it a good time to call?" asked Mary Anne.
"Yes, the club meeting didn't start yet," I said.
"Oh, good, you never know who I heard from," said Mary Anne. "Full House."
"Oh, yeah," I said.
"Dawn doesn't know what we got planned for her," said Mary Anne. "I went over to call from the Willis' so she won't know."
"Good idea," I said.
"I had to help the girls anyway, so it was a good time," said Mary Anne.
"So, what's the plan?" I asked.
"Full House is going to send me some tickets to spend a day in Disneyland. We're going to be there for Winter Vacation anyway," said Mary Anne. "D.J. wants me to surprise Dawn with one in a birthday card."
"Swell idea," I said.
"I think she's going to be surprised," said Mary Anne.
"I think so, too," I said.
"Our plan is to have a limbo to pick us up from Dawn's California house. Her father is giving us permission to do so," said Mary Anne.
"Oh, good," I said. "Oh, do you know if Beth is coming down, too?"
"Yes," said Mary Anne.
After we finished talking, the rest arrived and when the club started, I said, "I just had a phone call from Mary Anne."
"Nice. What did she had to say?" asked Stacey.
I told them on what she is planning to do for Dawn during our visit in California.
"We always have fun when we're with her in California," said Claudia.
"Yes," I said. "Dawn doesn't know about it. It's a surprise. That's why Mary Anne called from the Willis' girls."
"Makes sense," said Jessi.
"Dawn already invited us to her birthday while they're coming down to celebrate it with her grandparents," I said.
"I remember. We're all going to be at the party," said Mallory.
"I know the Willis girls will be coming with them," said Stacey.
"Can't wait to see them again," said Claudia.
"Same," said Mallory. "This is going to be fun."
"Logan is planning on going so he can see Mary Anne again," I said.
"It depends on Kayla," said Stacey.
"Oh, yeah," said Claudia. "I wonder how she's doing."
"Me, too," said Jessi.
"I hope April's not coming," said Stacey.
"I don't think the friendship will ever be fixed," I said.
"It was too bad since Mary Anne looked forward to see April when her family moved to Maine," said Claudia.
"I know," said Jessi.
"We'd never thought she'd be like that. April wasn't like that when she was with us on the road trip," said Mallory. "Look how Mr. Spier treated her- very good."
"Mary Anne is still happy about changing high schools. I don't think she'll switch back while Kayla is sick, especially since they're next-door neighbors," I said.
"Is Beth coming, too?" asked Claudia.
"Yes," I said.
After the meeting, I told my mom about what Mary Anne is planning on doing for Dawn when we all visit California during Winter Vacation.
"That's great," said Mom.
"It's a surprise," I said. "Mary Anne was watching the Willis kids with Kaylee, so it was a good time to talk to me about it."
After dinner, I cleaned up before I went to get things ready for school tomorrow. I always put my clothes out the night before to save time. The younger kids still go to bed early on school nights while the rest of us can stay up for a bit longer.
