CHAPTER 9: A New Challenger

Sunday

Time 22:00

"What are you doing here…Zane?" Red Hat asked seeing him.

"I told you, I want to duel you now." Zane replied.

"What!?" They all exclaimed somewhat shocked by his request.

"But you said you didn't want to duel me last time?" It reminded him of Red Hat.

"Yes it's true, I said I didn't want to duel with you, I said it because I didn't see the need to duel with someone who doesn't respect the opponent. But today I saw something that made me change my mind." Zane replied leaving everyone curious as to what he meant.

"What are you referring to?" Red Hat asked him.

"Today I saw that not only do you have the skills to defeat the best duelists in the Academy even if they are as a first year, but I also saw that you treated your opponent with respect at one point." Zane explained with his serious expression.

His explanation surprised everyone, even Red Hat himself, who couldn't believe that Duel Academy's strongest duelist had challenged him to a duel.

"So, what do you want to do? Will you accept my challenge?" Zane asked him, also unable to hold back the curiosity to see Red Hat dueling skills firsthand.

Red Hat couldn't hide its excitement at the challenge it was looking forward to. "Finally, I was waiting for nothing else." He replied, before asking one thing. " But can you give me a few minutes before, I would like to change the cards of my deck." The Slifer asked him.

"Go ahead, I want to face you at your maximum strength." Zane answered, as he was already going to get into position for the duel.

"Thanks, won't be long." Red Hat replied as he walked back to Jaden and the others.

"You were great Red Hat!" Jaden complimented. "You managed to win against formidable opponents like Alexis and Bastion, and now you're about to have the duel with Zane you wanted! Ah, how I wish I was in your place. But this is your duel and I know yo will win." Jaden said while encouraging his friend.

"Thanks Jaden. You're right. Alexis and Bastion were pretty good." Red Hat replied. "The two of them surprised me during our duels, I admit that, but like I said, only you managed to make that flame burn inside me in a duel." He thought in his mind. "Dueling Zane is going to be the biggest challenge I could ever face, and my deck will have to do a lot more than before." He said not holding back his excitement.

"Your reasoning makes sense, if you want to survive in a duel with Zane you will have to find a way to counter his strategies that seem almost perfect. I'll tell you the truth, there is no one who has ever managed to beat Zane and there is no formula to counter his deck." Bastion informed him.

"Bastion is right. Zane is a formidable opponent. Not even I was able to defeat him." He reminded everyone of Jaden when he challenged Zane to a duel.

"I know Zane is a very strong duelist." Red Hat replied as he changed some cards in his deck. "But, that doesn't mean I'm backing down from this challenge." He added with a smile.

"That is the spirit." Jaden replied with the thumbs up.

"Yes, you and Jaden are exactly alike. Only two like you could be so excited to duel against someone like Zane." Chumley said.

Bastion was a little surprised that Red Hat wasn't afraid to face the strongest duelist in the Academy. "Do you already have a strategy to use against Zane?" Bastion asked him.

"Sort of, but for a duel like this, I have to choose the right deck to use. And there's only one deck that can help me." Red Hat answered holding his chaos deck.

Everyone saw Red Hat as very confident for this duel, but Syrus was worried about this whole story. "Red Hat, there's still time to pull yourself back. You're strong yes, but Zane is unbeatable." Syrus begged him.

Red Hat soured at his words. "I said it before Syrus, I won't back down from this challenge. If I'm a true duelist I can't back down from this duel, my focus should be on fighting strong duelists. If I don't fight opponents like Zane, reach the my goal will be impossible." He answered in an angry tone of voice.

"Sorry." Syrus said scared for his reaction.

"Hey, Red Hat, calm down, he just wants to help you, he's worried about you." Jaden said trying to calm down his friend. "We know you're excited about the duel, but you shouldn't be so angry."

"All right, I'll try to calm down, sorry Syrus." Red Hat said turning to his frightened friend, as he pulled out his deck with other cards he had brought along just in case. "Adding these cards can be risky, but I'll have to risk a bit if I want to win against him. I'll need cards with destruction effect, Zane is a very strong duelist from what everyone says, I can't let my guard down even for a second." He thought Red Hat swapping cards in his deck.

Meanwhile, Zane was watching Red Hat preparing his deck for the upcoming duel.

"So, what made you change your mind and ask Red Hat to duel?" Alexis asked as she approached him.

"Nothing different from what I said before." Zane replied.

After a while, Red Hat had finished editing his deck, he was ready to duel. He stopped in front of Zane activating his duel disk. "I'm ready."

Zane simply stared at his opponent. "Let's see what you can do?" Zane declared, activating his duel disk as well.

DUEL

Red Hat: 8000 LP

Zane: 8000 LP

"I'll let you go first." Zane offered.

"As you like, but then don't regret it. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I summon Sangan in attack position. (Atk: 1000 – Def: 600) I set a card face down and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 4

"That's all you have at the beginning, it's nothing special. I draw!" Zane draws.

Hand 6

"Since you control one monster, while I control none, I can Special Summon Cyber Dragon! (Atk: 2100 – Def: 1600) "

"Cyber Dragon? Can I ask you a question, you use what they call the cyber style?" Red Hat asked curiously. "It's a dueling style that only a few people know but is capable of ending a duel quickly. I didn't expect you to be someone who duels using it." Red Hat smiled even more with excitement.

Everyone else was surprised, both because he knew the cyber style because it was almost never shown in public and it was unknown to everyone, and also because he knew it was a formidable dueling style, while him kept smiling.

"It's incredible. He even knows Zane's style and yet he's not scared." Alexis commented.

"Yeah, instead of being scared he has more fun. I'll tell you, this aspect of him makes him look like Jaden." Bastion added.

Syrus and Chumley were confused by this comment. "What do you mean?" Syrus asked him.

"I mean that this is something they have in common. Both of them despite facing a stronger opponent than themselves can't help but get excited and end up having fun in situations like this." Ra yellow continued.

"That's because that's what he's after." Jaden replied as he didn't take his eyes off the duel. "Even if it's true that he and I duel for reasons that seem different, it's really true that we can't help ourselves with emotion against a formidable opponent. This is the reason that makes duels fun."

"I didn't expect you to know about it. Very good, since I did a special summon I can still do a normal summon, so I summon Cyber Phoenix (Atk: 1200 – Def: 1600) Thanks to this monster, machine-type monsters cannot be targeted by spells and traps." Zane explained. "Cyber Phoenix Attacks Sangan!"

"Then it's lucky I had this card. I play the Crush Card Virus trap! Tributing a darkness monster 1000 attack points or less, monsters on your field and in your hand that have equal or higher attack points at 1500 they are destroyed, and for the next three turns when you draw a card you must show it and if it is a monster with attack points equal to or greater than 1500 it ends up in the graveyard. I tribute Sangan." Red Hat explained, as his monster disappeared and viruses came out of the trap and destroyed Zane mechanical dragon and a card in his hand. "Furthermore, thanks to Sangan effect, when it ends up in the graveyard, I can add a monster from the deck to my hand that has attack points equal to or lower than 1500. I choose D.D. Warrior Lady." Red Hat added the card to his hand.

"Did you have a counterattack ready then? Not bad. In this case I attack you directly with Cyber Phoenix!" Zane ordered.

Red Hat: 8000 – 6800 LP

"For my next move I play the continuous spell Future Fusion! Now I can send fusion material monsters from the deck to the graveyard, between two turns I can special summon a fusion monster. Then I send two Cyber Dragons to the graveyard, so between two turns I will be able to summon Cyber Twin Dragon." Zane explained. "It's your turn, now."

Hand 2

"Zane is playing seriously, I bet he also watched my duel and Bastion's which made him understand how he duels Red Hat even if he changed his deck." Alexis said.

"Is as I said before, that there is still no precise formula to defeat Zane." Bastion continued.

"I knew it would end like this, but why didn't he listen to me." Syrus said worried.

"Rest assured, Red Hat has yet to make its moves. I bet they will find a way out of this situation." Jaden reassured.

"It's my turn. I draw!"

Hand 6

"I play the equip spell Autonomous Action Unit. I pay 1500 life points to special summon a monster from your graveyard to my side of the field in attack position. My choice falls on your Cyber Dragon." Red Hat explained, while the dragon with metal body appeared on Red Hat side of the field.

Red Hat: 6800 – 5300 LP

"Hey, Zane, how does it feel to be attacked by your own monster. Cyber Dragon attacks with Strident Blast!" The mechanical dragon let out a fiery breath.

Zane: 8000 – 7100 LP

"Since Cyber Phoenix was destroyed in battle I can draw a card." Zane said as he drew the card.

"I set a card face down and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

"It's my turn. I draw!"

Hand 4

"Remember that you have to show the card you draw." Red Hat reminded him.

Zane flipped the card he had drawn, revealing that it was the spell card Dark Hole.

"Damn!"

"You do well to worry, because I play Dark Hole right away, so all the monsters on the field are destroyed. But only you have them, so it doesn't change anything for me." Zane said, when a black vortex appeared above the field sucking up all the monsters and destroying them.

"Now Red Hat has nothing to defend its life points." Syrus pointed out.

"Not licious." Chumley added.

"Stop scaring you two. Red Hat and a guy who doesn't give up easily without a fight." Jaden told his two friends.

"I play the equip spell Premature Burial! I pay 800 life points to special summon Reflect Bounder from the graveyard in attack mode. (Atk: 1700 – Def: 1000) "

Zane: 7100 – 6300 LP

" I activate my face down trap. Bottomless Trap Hole! Since you summoned a monster with more than 1500 attack points, I can destroy and banish it."

"I set a card face down and end my turn." Zane ends his turn.

Hand 2

"I have to start getting serious. I draw!"

Hand 5

"I play Graceful Charity. I draw three cards then I discard two. (discards Jinzo and Magician of Faith) I summon Witch of the Black Forest in attack mode. (Atk: 1100 – Def: 1200) Now I attack you directly with my monster! "

"I wouldn't count too much on this, I activate a continuous trap. Metal Reflect Slime! When this card is activated, it can be Special Summoned as a monster on the field. (Atk: 0 – Def: 3000)" A shiny metal ooze appeared on the field, forcing Red Hat to stop its attack.

"Blimey, I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 2

"If that's all then I continue with my turn. I draw."

Hand 3

Zane showed the card he drew due to the Crush Card Virus trap, the card he drew was De-Fusion. "Since it's been two turns since I activated Future Fusion I can now summon Cyber Twin Dragon! (Atk: 2800 – 2100)" A two-headed mechanical dragon with a chrome body has appeared on Zane's side of the field.

"Too bad your monster won't be here much longer. I activate a trap! Bottomless Trap Hole! Your dragon is now destroyed and then banished." Red Hat replied.

"I think you're forgetting something. The card I've drawn now. The quick play spell De-Fusion! Now Cyber Twin Dragon returns to my extra deck and in return I can now special summon the two Cyber Dragons in my graveyard." Cyber Twin Dragon split into the two Cyber Dragons.

"It's the same move Alexis made in the previous duel. So it's true that you saw earlier the duels I had against Alexis and Bastion. Glad they gave you some ideas." Red Hat mocked him.

"A true duelist has the duty to learn from every duel he see, no matter if a beginner or a pro." Zane replied. " I play Pot of Greed so I draw two more cards. Now I summon Proto-Cyber Dragon (Atk: 1100 – Def: 600) While this monster is on the field, its name is treated as Cyber Dragon. "

"It's coming." Red Hat expected Zane to play his most powerful card.

"Now I play Polymerization to fuse my three Cyber Dragons. Meet my ace monster. Cyber End Dragon! (Atk: 4000 – Def: 2800)" On Zane side of the field had appeared a three-headed mechanical dragon, with a serpentine body, silver wings with a blue orb in its chest.

"So this is your Ace monster? I have to admit it's impressive." said Red Hat who seemed amused at the sight of the monster anyway.

"Indeed. This is the most powerful monster that is passed down within the cyber style."

"It's a pity to destroy it then. Go Torrential Tribute! Thanks to this trap all monsters on the field are destroyed immediately!" As soon as the trap was activated, a tide of water came out of the hologram of the card and overwhelmed all the monsters on the field, destroying them.

"Now the effect of Witch of the Black Forest is also activated. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, I can add a monster with 1500 or less defense points from the deck to the hand. And my choice falls on my second Dandylion." Red Hat explained as he added the card to his hand.

"A great move, but ineffective because now I play Monster Reborn, return once more time Cyber End Dragon!" The three-headed cybernetic monster was back on the field. Red Hat now had a worried look in his eyes.

"Cyber End Dragon, attack him directly! Go with Super Strident Blaze!" The cybernetic monster shot flames from its three heads setting off a massive explosion that hurled Red Hat to the ground.

Red Hat: 5300 – 1300 LP

Meanwhile the small audience was closely watching the duel.

"Red Hat is almost out of life points, if it doesn't do something it will lose." Alexis exposed.

"Not even Red Hat could do it against Zane, the chances of him winning now are almost nil." Bastion added.

"I knew it, I knew it was going to end like this. But why didn't he listen to me." Syrus repeated again.

"Not good at all." Chumley said.

"So what is all this negativity. The duel is not over yet and it does not seem to me that Red Hat wants to give up." Jaden pointed to his friends.

Red Hat who was down for the last blow, found himself lost in thought. "Blimey, I didn't imagine that I would find myself in such a situation. I am almost low on life points, with Zane having a monster with 4000 attack points on the field. I'm in a bad situation, yet I don't know why but I'm having a lot of fun. I haven't felt this way since I dueled Jaden." Thought Red Hat as a smile formed on his face. "They're duels like that, which push me to win at all costs." He thought before starting to laugh.

Syrus, Chumley, Alexis, and Bastion were somewhat confused as to how Red Hat could laugh while in a situation as disadvantageous as his. The only one who didn't seem surprised by his reaction was Jaden who was smiling too, seeing his friend enjoying himself.

"Come on Red Hat, a duel isn't over until you play your last card. So get back on your feet and give it your all." Jaden encouraged.

Red Hat stood up, smiling at his friend, raising his thumb up. "Thanks for the encouragement Jaden, but don't worry, I never meant to give up." He answered.

"Thats is the spirit, man. Now go and get him."

Red Hat only nodded her head before turning to Zane. "Sorry for the wait, but with a duel like this it's impossible for me not to get so excited."

"I'm glad you enjoy the duel, but how about you do something about your situation or you'll lose. I end my turn."

Hand 0

"It's my turn. I draw!"

Hand 3

"I play my second Graceful Charity. I draw three cards and then discard two. (Discards D.D. Warrior Lady and Dandylion.) And since Dandylion has gone to the graveyard I summon two Fluff-tokens in defense position. (Atk: 0 – Def: 0) Seeing the cards he had drawn, Red Hat couldn't believe what he had draw. "You showed me your ace monster Zane, now I show you mine. I banish D.D. Warrior Lady and Jinzo from graveyard to special summon Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning!" A whirlwind of light formed on the field, and Red Hat ace monster emerged.

"I still find it hard to believe that Red Hat has a card like this!" said Bastion amazed by the monster played by Red Hat seeing him for the second time.

"Don't tell me. I'm just wondering if his strength has a limit or if he's hiding something else in his deck." Alexis wondered.

"It's a so sweet monster." Jaden said.

"Sure, yours is a powerful monster, but it can't beat my Cyber End Dragon." Zane stated.

"I know my monster is not strong enough to defeat yours, for this I play this spell card. I activate Acid Rain! Thanks to this, all face-up machine-type monsters on the field are destroyed!" Rain began to fall on Zane Cybernetic dragon. At that point the machine-type monster began to rust slowly, until it began to fall piece by piece, until it exploded.

"I didn't expect you to have that card in your deck." Zane said in a surprised tone.

"To be honest, it wasn't there at first. I wasn't sure before I put it in my deck, since I didn't know what kind of cards you had, but something inside told me to do it, I'm glad I did." Red Hat revealed.

"I knew he was going to use that card eventually." Jaden cheered.

"What are you referring to?" Alexis asked confused.

"The card he just played is one of the new cards that came out to him today. He added that card to his deck before the duel." Jaden explained surprising everyone.

"Now that your monster is gone, I can attack. Go Black Luster Soldier, attack Zane directly! Chaos Sword Slash!" The knight lunged at Zane, striking him with a thrust of his sword.

Zane: 6300 – 3300 LP

"I end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 1

"Yeah, great comeback, Red Hat." Jaden shouted enthusiastically.

"I can't believe it." Syrus said incredulously.

"Me neither." Chumley added.

"Red Hat might be able to do something no one has ever been able to do, beat Zane." Bastion theorized.

"Who knows what else he's capable of." Alexis wondered.

Zane smiled. "I have to admit, despite a few set backs you have managed to turn the tables, I have to say you are quite impressive."

Red Hat chuckled at this. "I have to say, you're not like most Obelisk blues I've seen so far. The duel I'm having with you is the most exciting thing I've ever had other than Jaden in a long time."

"For someone so wild that you disrespect your opponents, you play your cards right, you're a true duelist Red Hat. Now it's my turn. I draw!" Zane said as he draws.

Hand 1

"I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. I set one card facedown and end my turn. "

Hand 1

"It's my turn. I draw." Red Hat draws.

Hand 2

"I summon Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer. (Atk: 1800 – Def: 700) With this attack I end the duel. Black Luster Soldier attack him directly!"

"Go Metal Reflect Slime trap card. You remember this card, it summons itself again and stops your attack. (Atk: 0 – Def: 3000)"

"Black Luster Soldier stops your attack. At this point I end my turn."

Hand 1

"It's my turn. I draw."

Hand 2

As Zane looked at the card he had drawn he looked at Red Hat. "You played well, but not well enough."

Hearing those words, Red Hat understood that Zane wanted to end this shift. With nothing to defend itself, Red Hat didn't want to appear weak. "Well, give me everything you've got Zane! I'm ready for anything!" he shouted loudly.

"You certainly are. A true duelist and ready for anything. This means not only how to use the cards, but knowing how to use them, and you Red Hat know how to use them well." He said smiling at him. "I activate the spell Metamorphosis I tribute Metal Reflect Slime and special summon a fusion monster with a equal level. I summon Cyber End Dragon! (Atk: 4000 – Def: 2800) Now I activate the quick-play spell Limiter Removal for double the attack points of Cyber End Dragon. (Atk: 4000 – 8000 – Def: 2800) Cyber End Dragon attacks Black Luster Soldier with Super Strident Blaze!" The mechanical dragon shot blue beams from its three heads. Black Luster Soldier tried to defend itself but was blown away by a huge explosion.

Red Hat: 1300 – 0 LP

After the duel was over, Red Hat lay down on the ground from exhaustion from dueling against three opponents.

"Red Hat has lost." Syrus said softly.

"He almost managed to win." said Chumley, who seemed a little frustrated with the result.

"Red Hat." Jaden looked sorry for his friend.

The Slifer red trio felt sorry for their partner, while Zane, Alexis and Bastion kept looking at him without saying anything, thinking that he remained crouched on the ground because he hadn't managed to win. But a laugh coming from Red Hat interrupted their thoughts.

"Hahahaha..." Red Hat laugh was getting louder and louder. "Blimey, this duel was great." He stated.

Seeing that even though Red Hat had lost the duel, he was still happy. Soon Red Hat was being helped up by his friends. Seeing that he was happy despite the result chased away their worries.

"Even if you lost this duel, you were good Red Hat." Syrus said trying to comfort him.

"Yeah, he's right, you managed to stand up to him." Chumley added.

"You were phenomenal Red Hat." Jaden said with his usual smile.

As they tried to help their friend, Zane approached them. "Zane, thank you for this duel. It was one of the best duels I've had in a long time, you managed to push me beyond my limits. For that I have a lot of respect for you Zane." Said Red Hat smiling to Zane.

Zane just smiled at him before answering. "If you didn't have this attitude you have I would be honored, but against you it felt like dueling with an animal." The last comment made Red Hat laugh.

"Well, sorry, but taming this animal isn't easy. But after today I'll try to calm down a bit, but I can't make any promises." Red Hat responded. "The only thing I want is to be able to challenge very strong duelists, as far as I know only you, Jaden. Alexis and Bastion are also good duelists, I have to admit I was wrong about them."

"Hey Red Hat." Alexis called him. "Remember that well, the next time you and I duel, I'll win." Alexis said with a serious expression.

"Hey, don't forget about me." Bastion interrupted them. "Red Hat, today I saw what you are truly capable of, today's duel may have been a test but I failed anyway. But don't think that next time it will end with the same result, I assure you that I will find a formula to beat any deck you use, even if it's your chaos deck." Bastion said with a confident expression.

"Well, the only thing I can tell you is that I can't wait to see how much better you two are next time we duel." He answered both Alexis and Bastion before turning to Zane. "Zane today you defeated me in a duel and showed me that I still have a long way to make my decks stronger, so you better get ready because now I have the goal not only to become stronger but also to beat you, and I'm sure which will happen the next time I duel against you."

"This is to be seen." It was the only thing Zane said.

At that point Red Hat turned to his friends. "How about we all go back to the dorm?"

"Sure." Jaden answered followed by Syrus and Chumley.

"Let's see who gets to the dorm first." Red Hat said starting to run.

"I'll get there first!" Jaden replied starting to run too, with Syrus and Chumley chasing them.

"Wait for us." Syrus shouted.

"Here we go again." Chumley added, not content to run.

The Slifers ran back to their dormitory, while the rest of the group stayed where they were and watched them go.

"I should to go back to my dorm too." Bastion declared as he walked off, leaving Zane and Alexis alone.

"So? Did you get a better idea about him?" Alexis asked. "When it comes to Jaden, he's nice, but when he's with someone else, he's the opposite."

"That's why he stays close to Jaden, because he's the only one who can get him checked out." Zane states."

"I still wonder though what could have happened to him to make him behave like this?" Alexis wondered.

"Who knows, maybe we'll find out more about Red Hat past later on." Zane speculated.

"Maybe you're right, I wish I could figure it out. I just hope the duel with you helps him change." Alexis said.

"The change is a decision that belongs only to him. If it has to happen it will happen at the right time." Zane simply replied.

They both stayed at the lighthouse enjoying the night breeze.

In the meantime

Jaden, Red Hat, Syrus and Chumley were walking back to the Slifer red dorm.

No one had said a word since they'd left after the duel. Syrus decided to break the silence. "Hey, Red Hat, may I ask how did you know my brother Zane used cyber style?"

Red Hat found himself a little surprised that Syrus had asked that question, he think carefully about the words to say not to reveal too much about himself. "Remember when I told you my father taught me to duel." He reminded his friends who nodded in response. "Well, before doing that, he had traveled a lot to learn how to become strong in dueling, in one of his travels he learned about cyber style, when he taught me about dueling he told me about it." Red Hat explained.

"Blimey, your father must be a very strong duelist like you." Chumley commented.

While Red Hat didn't like to remember his past, the memories of training with his father didn't bother him. "You're wrong Chumley, to say it's strong is an understatement." Red Hat said leaving them confused.

"What do you mean?" Syrs asked him.

"I mean he's more than strong, when he was training me I couldn't beat him even once, even when he wasn't trying."

"WHAT!?" All three exclaimed in shock.

"I can not believe it." Syrus said

"So there is someone who is stronger than you." Chumley said.

"Ah, I would really like to duel against such a person." Jaden replied that he seemed amused at the idea of a duel with such a strong opponent.

Red Hat was chuckling at his friend's reaction. "I understand you Jaden, but he doesn't duel anymore."

"That's right, you already told me." Jaden said sad because he couldn't duel with him, remembering that Red Hat had already told him that his father didn't duel anymore.

"Sorry for asking Red Hat, but between him and Zane who do you think is stronger." Syrus asked curious.

Red Hat didn't need to think much about to answer this question. "Although I think Zane is a very strong and incredible duelist, I don't think he could win a duel against him." Red Hat replied.

"So he'd be stronger than even Zane. Oh man, he must be amazing." Jaden added.

"Yes, it really is. But that's all I can tell you." Red Hat said. Even if they didn't bother him, he preferred not to remember anything that had to do with his past.

Not wanting to disturb his friend, Jaden agreed with Syrus and Chumley preferred not to go beyond asking him anything else about himself.

Meanwhile they arrived at their dormitory, everyone went to their room. Arriving in his Red Hat he got into bed without changing his clothes. The only thing he could think about now was the duel he'd had with Zane. "Zane is very strong. So besides Jaden there is someone else who is able to burn that flame inside me." Red Hat thought as a smile formed on his face. "Now things are getting interesting."

Here is the new chapter. Just to say in this duel Zane used one of the decks based on Tag Force 1 while Red Hat used his chaos deck since I thought of it as his main deck. So it would have been a clash between their strongest monsters. For the duel with Zane I decided to do like this because of what TheNew959 had said in one of his comments, that is to put an Obelisk that represents a real challenge for him so I inserted the duel with Zane. Because Red Hat lost its duel with him and because I didn't want to make him look invincible. So at least with this defeat he will have someone to point to to get stronger. So he's going to have Jaden and Zane as sort of rivals. For those who have noticed that short dialogue between Red Hat and Zane towards the end of the duel is the same one he said to Jaden when he dueled against him in episode 8 For the Sake of Syrus. Another way of saying that Zane at least respects Red Hat dueling skills. That's it for this chapter. Get ready, Because in the next chapter will come the character that made me think about writing this fanfiction. That's right, the next chapter is where Blair will come in. That's all I can tell you in this chapter. Let me know what you think in the comments below the page.
