All heads turned to the door when Kira asked her question, Alex released Odin's arm and rushed to the door.
There on the couch was the Ancient One tied up in ropes and a gag, storming over to he grabbed the gag and yanked it down, "What the hell are you doing in my home?" he bellowed from less than six inches from her face, "As for that matter how did you even get past the protections?"
"You are not supposed to be here your actions have changed the future and now the future I've striven to bring about has been lost," she yelled back trying to remove the ropes but her hands and fingers were bound tightly.
Alex growled then grabbed the Eye of Agamotto and broke its chain, "Nobody can change time she follows her path if my presence had been unwelcome I would have been unable to open my door to this universe, you've just been wasting your life, and burning all your power to move a grain of sand in a box of boulders and thought you were guiding time where you wanted it and this is the reason you went to such lengths, " he growled poking the center of her forehead where the symbol of Dormammu was hidden.
At his touch, the symbol became visible then faded away when it felt the connection he had to the Creator and Eternity.
When she felt the connection end she was shaken as it had taken decades to form that mark and keep it from drawing her to Dormammu's realm.
"Ho..how did you do that, do you know what you have done, without that we are doomed," she yelled out in panic.
Sam came to Alex's side having sped to Karen's room to put her in bed and close the door to keep the yelling from waking her.
"Yeah and I am the queen of the world, you've been feeding that creature all the information it needed to whittle away at the world's boundaries, and soon your pupil will open the door fully, congratulations you've ended up failing what your predecessor had started in your fear of death and time," Sam added as she took the eye from Alex's hand and took it to Odin.
"Time," was all she said as she handed it over.
Odin looked at the eye then the woman on the couch through the door and shook his head, "Mortals will always be drawn to these items and fall to their power." he then walked to the door leading out of the royal sitting room and opened it and beckoned a guard, "Take this to Heimdall and tell him to send it to a black hole," he ordered the guard then rejoined the others.
"Noooo..." the Ancient One screeched when she heard what was to happen to the time stone.
Alex nodded, "Yes I think the others should meet the same," he said while wondering if it would work.
"An excellent suggestion, I shall speak with my warriors and see that they are placed in such places, the only one I do not know if we can locate is the Either," Odin said after hearing Alex's words.
"I can get it for you timed right and the dark elves will continue to slumber until the light begins to fade in the last few billion years of life in this universe," Alex told them as he walked away from the Ancient One.
"Thanos and his children will take them from wherever you send them, you are only slowing his crusade," The Ancient One said struggling to get free.
Sam looked at the woman and then shook her head, "No by the time he can get a signal from the stones they will be past the event horizon possibly in the singularity and nothing will survive that."
Alex walked to the door and touched it closing his eyes, "Ah you sneaky rat you used the time stone to open a portal into the past and looked into it then hid yourself until we left,"
"Well once we get you to Earth you'll never be able to open a portal like that again now that the stone is out of your grasp," Sam said as she figured out what the woman had done.
"I wish to join you in this journey, we must speak to the people you spoke of earlier and this may lay the foundation of cooperation in the future, " Loki said when Sam mentioned Earth.
Alex looked to Odin and Friga the question need not be spoken, the two exchanged glances and then nodded, " Very well daughter go to Midgard and speak with these people and warn them of the dangers of what they hold," Odin said smiling with pride as she was offering freely to help sealing the stones for a time.
Alex nodded with Sam and Kira smiling, "We'll ensure her safety during our time on Earth, Sam can you take her to choose some clothes that will help her fit in?"
Sam nodded then pulled Loki into the house and to the workshop to the replicator to get her measurements to have some fashionable but comfortable things made.
"This is a wonderful device, and these garments are very comfortable, especially the undergarments," Loki exclaimed after changing into a pair of jeans and a silk top, "And these boots are very flexible while still feeling like they can protect my feet from injury."
Sam laughed at her enjoyment, "Yeah it's a useful thing for making things, I'm not sure about how different these clothes are from your normal clothing but everything is made to be comfortable by a set of enchantments woven in the thread."
"Truly this is a wonderful device, Mother would love such clothing," Loki said running her fingers over her clothes.
Sam nodded then turned Loki toward the stairs back to the main floor of the house, noting that Misty had taken Loki's discarded clothes to clean, when they reached the top of the stairs she saw a bag holding the clothes, picking it up she passed them to Friga who was looking over her daughter's new clothes.
" I'll be right back I forgot to turn off the lights," Sam excused herself and returned to the workshop, " Misty can you come here for a second?"
"How can I help you, Sam?" Misty asked after popping next to her.
"Can you get the measurements of Friga and use the replicator to make several changes of clothes in the style she is wearing now and do the same for Loki but also make her some sets of Earth-style as well?"
"Yes, I can do that do you want me to add the cleaning enchantment as well?"
"Yeah that's probably a good idea," Sam agrees then returns to the living room to find Friga running her fingers over the sleeve of Loki's shirt.
Alex was talking to Odin about the stones so she joined them, " It's the mind and soul stone that will be interesting to retrieve, I believe Thanos already has the mind stone and the soul stone requires a sacrifice to get," Alex was saying as she neared.
"Wouldn't your lineage allow you to retrieve the soul stone?"
"I don't know how far that will allow me to intervene," Alex said rubbing his face.
"We can try and see if you can't get it a guard will need to be set to watch over its location," Odin decided after some thought.
Sam nodded, "You may want to do something about Schmidt as well,"
Alex looked at her for a second before nodding as well, "Yeah I forgot about him."
"Schmidt?" Odin asked.
"A man with a skull-like face was using the space stone to power weapons forty or fifty years ago and in a battle, it was somehow activated and opened a portal to the place where the soul stone is, he was pulled there, and has been acting as its guardian and tricking people into sacrificing people to the stone and then watching it consume the person who wanted it, I think he was trying to figure out how to hold the stone without being destroyed, " Alex told him causing the king of Asgard to frown.
"All of the stones save the soul stone and the reality stone have a container of one form or another, how would you move those two?"
Alex shrugged, "I'm from outside this universe so the stones shouldn't affect me, it's like taking the stones to another universe, once there they become inert,"
"Ah, I had not known that, " Odin said after hearing Alex's words.
"We'll see about those three and leave the rest to you and your people to take care of the rest, " Alex promised.
"Three?" Sam asked
"I've used the door to see where the mind stone is and Thanos already has it, it's how he can track down the rest, it's showing him where they are," Alex told her.
"Can you handle him, I've seen him fight in another universe and it literally took an army to fight him, " Sam asked concerned.
"Yeah, that's not going to be a problem; he is a brute fighter. He has no experience fighting someone with the speeds I can reach," he reassured her with a smile.
Sam nodded, then felt a bag being pushed into her hand from behind; she felt that it had some magic covering it, most likely an expansion charm; she turned to Friga, "A gift; I would wait until you are in your chambers to remove the items," she said passing the bag over.
Alex watched them for a bit, then turned to Odin, "We'll see about the stones; I think I'll go for the mind stone first; while there, I may reduce Thanos' army."
"You are a fool if you think you can face Thanos alone," the Ancient One half cried half yelled.
Alex turned to her with a grin that caused her to cower back, "Yeah, that's not going to be a problem for me; I think I'll make you watch true power, not the weaklings you fight off in your attempts to protect the Earth."
Sam walked up beside him, then dope slapped him, "Stop trying to scare her; I don't think her old heart will be able to take it."
Alex tried to pout but his grin didn't help, "But it's so fun."
"It may be, but if she dies, I will not be helping you fix this," Sam said nonchalantly, then went back to join Friga and Loki.
"You should not have spoken about things you do not understand," Odin said after hearing Sam's words and looked at the Ancient One.
Alex nodded, "She thinks that because she's lived for over five hundred years she has all the answers, but has only scratched the surface."
Alex looked from the Ancient One to Odin then Friga Loki and Sam, "You guys want to watch me take care of the big Purple guy?"
"Yes, but we must take at least two guards and inform the others that we are going to be gone for a time," Odin said after glancing at Friga, who nodded.
Alex nodded, then watched as Odin and Friga went to speak with a guard, "Sam, can you see about lunch? I'm going to be burning a bit of power to do this," he told her as an excuse to get Misty to put something together.
Sam nodded, then went to the kitchen to let Misty know to put something on for lunch; as the door closed behind her, Odin Friga and two guards came into the house; the guards took up positions on each side of the door.
Alex nodded, then moved to close the door, placed his hand on the frame, and focused on Thanos; outside the window, the view changed to that of an asteroid field surrounded by hundreds of ships and thousands of large whale-like creatures covered in armor.
"Sam, Kira do either of you want to join in or just watch with the others?" he asked once he spotted Thanos on his throne on a small asteroid.
Sam shook her head, "No if I help you, it'll be finished before that big guy even realizes something is happening," she told him before taking a seat beside the couch Odin and Friga had taken.
"I do need to practice with my powers after they've been fixed," Kira said stepping to his side.
Alex nodded, " Alright, there is one person you need to watch for, There is a bald woman with blue skin and cybernetic implants; don't hurt her too much; knock her out if you can." Alex said before putting his hand on the wall beside the window, and it expanded to cover the wall, pushing the TV to the other wall.
"Sam, you can use the window to focus on one or the other of us, but don't have it too close. We'll be moving fairly quickly, and the window may not be able to keep up," he told her as he reached for the door handle.
Opening the door, he stepped out into open space, floating away from the door, he watched as Kira joined him, her clothes shifted to her superhero suit.
"Don't destroy all the ships. I want to get a scan of the weapon; once I get through with the big guy, I'll join you," he told her as he shifted his suit to be a bit more armored.
She nodded and then took off in a blur; seconds later, one of the whale-like creatures exploded, and then another followed; after a few minutes, the ships turned their weapons to where Kira was standing on the head of the second whale-like creature.
Alex watched this and then turned to Thanos, who had stood from his throne, the staff holding the mind stone glowing as he watched Kira tare into one of the ships, the shots from the weapons barely phasing her.
When he raised the staff and pointed it at Kira's back, Alex made his move. First, he flew at Ebony Maw, who was having trouble finding purchase in Kira's mind; Alex appeared at Thanos' side with the head of Ebony Maw in his hand.
"You know attacking someone in the back is rude," Alex said while tossing the head to the side.
"And attacking out of nowhere is just as rude," Thanos said turning to face Alex with a snarl on his lips as he saw the body of one of his children floating away from the asteroid.
"The universe needs to be cleansed of its population; it can not sustain the existence of so many civilizations that consume the resources," Thanos said while trying to use the stone to overpower his mind, but it couldn't find a way in.
"Yeah, that's probably the worst excuse I've heard for genocide; you are claiming to be killing half of each world's population to save them to cover your hunger for death and destruction," Alex said, crushing the blade and storing the stone in his hammerspace.
Thanos grew enraged at the loss of the stone and threw the staff away, then threw a punch at Alex, who caught it easily; then, with a twist, his wrist was broken.
"You are weaker than I expected you to be from all the way the people you've left alive after killing their people; oh well, I'm tired of looking at you," Alex said with a grim frown.
With another twist and a pull, Alex drove his knee into Thanos' stomach, then, with an uppercut, snapped the neck of the big purple alien; then he twisted and threw him to impact the asteroid and throne, turning them into dust.
Alex turned to watch Kira for a second seeing that she had taken out all of the whale-like creatures, when a fist impacted the back of his head with the sound of breaking bones and a roar of pain.
Alex turned to find Thanos clutching his broken hands to his chest, "Yeah, that's not a smart move," he said while kicking out, catching him in the side of the head and sending him flying toward the brown dwarf that the asteroid field was orbiting.
Following up with a supersonic punch to the gut, the titan fell into the fires of the failed star; the impact with the surface flames sent a fair out several hundred miles until the gravity pulled it into an arch that snapped back down, sending ripples in every direction.
Alex watched the surface closely for several minutes, but Thanos never came up; scanning with X-ray vision, he found the Titan body falling toward the core of the star, slowly burning away.
"Well if he survives the death of the star should finish him off," Alex said to himself before turning to help Kira finish up with the ships and soldiers, as he flew through the ships he gathered weapons and other pieces of technology that looked interesting, he found Nebula in an escape pod floating in the debris of a ship with the bodies of chitauri and the other children of Thanos.
When the last ship and enemy were dealt with Alex pushed the larger pieces of the ships into a cluster and flew around it using his heat vision to melt the metals then flew in close and ramped up his speed matching the rotational direction of a planet and saw off in the distance he got the large chunk spinning to create a gravitational field to draw in the smaller pieces.
Grabbing the escape pod containing Nebula, he flew to the still-open door. He saw the guards had taken up a lookout position and were staring wide-eyed at their work.
Once he and Kira were inside the door she looked ready to pout, " I was expecting a better battle," she almost whined. as she closed the door when Alex had the pod clear.
Sam came over to inspect them for injuries but only found that the two of them only needed a bath.
Alex looked over the pod and saw that Nebula was unconscious, "Yeah, I know, in a timeline, I know of it took the combined forces of Earth's heroes and a few groups from out in the universe to take them down, but then again he had all of the stones."
Sam looked into the pod, "Who is this?"
"Nebula, the adopted daughter of Thanos and lab rat of one of his scientists, was turned into a cyborg and programmed to hate her adopted sister, who is physically stronger because of her race; I'm going to take her to the med bay to see if it can fix her up and clean out the programming."
Sam nodded then turned to Kira, " You go take a shower and get that gunk off of you."
Kira nodded then went to the bathroom as Alex took Nebula to the med bay, opening the pod he lifted her and then lay her on one of the beds, looking over at the control panel he programmed the bed to return her to an organic state and to remove anything from her mind that didn't come from her thoughts.
Up in the living room, Sam was sitting down with Odin Friga and Loki who were all looking shocked while the Ancient One had gone nearly catatonic, "once he is done and cleaned up we'll have lunch and return you all home before going to Earth to drop off the Ancient One and take Loki to meet with the spies," she told them.
Loki looked at her, "How can you be so calm after seeing them do all of that?"
Sam smiled, " Alex and I spent seven years in a world full of the undead, in that time we did several things similar to that only on a smaller scale, after seeing what we had to do fighting a madman who wanted to kill off half the universe's people why should I be shocked when I know what he is going to try."
The Ancient One turned to look at Sam her eyes wide, "You've destroyed the future, now I can not sustain the timeline on its intended path," she yelled.
Alex had just come back to the living room, "Once again Time doesn't need to be led down a path you think she should follow," he then walked to the door and touched it with his fingertips.
Opening the door, he welcomed a woman who had long brown hair and was dressed in a toga; all over the toga were the forms of ways to measure time.
"Welcome to my home, Aunty Time. Could you please tell this one how bad it is to try and control your path?" Alex asked, gesturing to the Ancient One, who was still bound in her seat.
"Aunty, hmm, I like that we conceptual aspects don't have children; yes, we're going to claim you as a family as you travel, I think," Time said, smiling at Alex as she felt the Creator and Eternity on him.
When she looked at the Ancient One she frowned, "Ahh yes I know this one and her meddling centuries millennia of work to keep the world's spinning all thrown off because of her, yes we shall speak then I believe Death will want a few words as well," Time said stalking toward the cowering woman.
Alex watched as Time lifted the Ancient One from the chair and carried her out of the house, "Thank you for bringing this one to me, I am looking forward to her punishment, she is going to see and feel the pain her meddling to put Stephen on the path to be the sorcerer Supreme and everything she has done only pushed him into the path a year sooner than I intended. "
The Ancient One struggled for nothing as she was drug out of the house. Her screams faded away as the door closed.
Everyone watched in shock as the latch clicked closed, "Well that happened," Alex said with a nod.
Sam turned to him, "Did you know that would happen?"
"No, I just expected her to take her to the side and tell her off then send her back to Earth," he answered with a shake of his head, "Well I'm going to take a shower then get to the table and chow down that took a bit more out of me than I thought it would," he said climbing the stairs to get cleaned up.
Odin and Friga had collapsed on the couch. Loki and the guards had also been affected by the presence and power of Time as well; the three were on their knees.
"Well, it's a good thing his growing extended family didn't all come," Sam said while helping Loki to her feet and a chair, the guards had gotten shakily to their feet.
Shortly later, Kira came back to the living room; upon seeing the others, aside from Sam looking shaken wondered what was up, "Did I miss something?"
Sam told her what had happened just a bit ago, and soon Alex came back as well with a sleepy Karen in his arms, "Let's eat then go back to Asgard," he said as if the being known as Time had not been in his home and taken the Ancient One away.
The others followed him into the dining room; the guards had also followed, taking places out of the way of the others as they sat and ate the meal of steak and home fries.
Once they finished eating, leaving the plates on the table, "We'll get you guys back to Asgard," Alex said, walking to the door and opening it to the royal sitting room only to find Thor swinging Mjolnir at him as he stepped out to let the others pass.
Sighing, he caught the hammer mind swing and then pulled it out of Thor's grip, " You are an idiot, aren't you," he said before passing Mjolnir to Odin before ducking a punch thrown from Thor then gut punching him; the hit sent Thor through the doors of the room.
Thor fell to the floor, trying to catch his breath, he tried several times to get to his feet, but his legs wouldn't work.
Odin could only shake his head, "Thor Odinson I hereby strip you of your powers and title of prince of Asgard and banish you from this realm," Odin announced in a voice that carried throughout all of Asgard as he did as Odin in the movie by stripping the armor from Thor.
"Get him from the floor and follow me," Odin ordered the guards and walked to the Bifrost with them in tow.
Alex watched this then turned as she heard Friga crying and Loki looking sad, "He's going to have to learn humility, and I think he's just pushed too much today," Alex told them.
Friga nodded as she tried to stop her tears, "I know but for him to attack you three times now and what would have happened if you had not been first through the door, not many can stop Mjolnir once he swings it," Friga said while she sat resting her head in her hands.
Loki sat beside her mother, wrapping her arms around her to try and comfort her, "Father will make sure he is sent to a place where he is safe, and one day he will learn humility."
Alex and Sam nodded while Kira entertained Karen by showing her the murals of people and places that Odin had seen in his life.
After a few long minutes, Odin returned looking tired, "I sent Mjolnir to be near him, and it will judge if he is worthy of reclaiming his powers and title," he said as he took a seat heavily.
"If you sent him to an area known to the Midgardians as New Mexico, there is a mortal woman who he grows close to he learns humility and even love as well as self-sacrifice," Alex told them as he tried to remember the one time he and his friend watched the Thor movie, "Though I'm basing that all from my knowledge of another timeline."
"You need the Odin sleep, my love," Friga said as she watched Odin as he seemed to be barely keeping himself in his seat.
"Yes, I think I will; I have given Heimdall orders to watch over Thor but not to interfere unless Mjolnir returns to his hand," Odin said before slumping unconscious.
"Guard, take my husband to his sleeping chamber and leave him. I'll be along shortly," Friga called out; quickly, the guards came and lifted Odin and took him to a room just down the hall.
She then looked at Loki and then the others, "Go to Midgard and speak with the ones you need to, but stay away from your brother, or you may interfere with the lesson he is to learn," she told them as she stood to follow the guards to activate the bed for the Odin sleep.
Alex nodded as she spoke, then looked over to call Kira to enter the house, and his shoulders fell when he saw Karen's eyes on a painting of Slepinir, hearing a chuckle from his side from Sam.
"One day, you are going to get caught out and give her what she wants, you know," Sam told him, a large grin on her face.
Sighing, he nodded, " Yeah, I know, but not until we have a few safe and permanent places to call home," he answered.
Sam smiled and then went to gather Kira and Karen, "Come on it's time for us to go, daddy said one day you can get a pony but first we need to have a home for it to live in, right now our house is not a place for a pony to live," she told the little girl as she led them to the door.
"Yay, I get a pony," Karen squealed happily as they entered the house.
Alex slumped his shoulders even more hearing Karen, " I'm sure I will have to get a place in the next world or two," he moaned as he followed Loki through the door and closed it.
Touching the door, he focused on the Earth and Philip Colson, agent of S.H.E.I.D; again, the window blurred before settling on a man dressed in a suit; he had short brown hair and a welcoming face, but his eyes warned of his intelligence and cunning.
He was standing at the back of a large crowd, looking at a podium at which a man dressed in a suit, but under the coat, you could see the logo of AC/DC. This man had a handsome face, but his eyes showed immaturity and vanity.
Before opening the door, he created six Omni tools in a briefcase; opening the door, he stepped out to stand at Colson's side, looking up to the podium as Tony Stark said, "I am Ironman," which sent the crowd into a frenzy.
"Yeah, that's not going to paint a target on him and anyone he cares about," Alex said, shaking his head.
"Yes, and he just made my job all that much harder," Colson said, looking at Alex, hiding his startlement at the man who just appeared beside him.
Alex nodded, he saw the slight flinch, "I'm sorry but your job is going to get very interesting in the next few years, soon the Captain will wake but that's not why I am here, I've been asked to speak with you about a few things," Alex told the man.
"Well this is new most of the time I have to be sent to find the target," Colson said before tapping his earpiece, "Colson here I am with a gentleman who wishes to give me some information I will be going dark for a time," he spoke softly giving his confirmation codes then removed the earpiece and disconnecting it.
Alex nodded, then gestured to the door behind him that other people did not seem to notice, "This way, you'll be returning to this spot when we're finished speaking, " Alex said, stepping back into the house followed by Colson.
Colson followed him, ensuring that his weapons were within easy reach when he saw the women sitting in chairs and a little girl watching TV. Oddly, it was what seemed to be his first mission with Fury when they met Danvers.
Alex gestured to an open chair, "Drink? You name it we probably have it," he asked as he took a seat next to Sam.
"I'm fine, thank you, " Colson refused as he took a seat facing Alex, who laid the briefcase on the table and opened it, then turned it to face him.
" A gift you could say, one for you, the widow, the hawk, Fury, and Hill plus one for your technology team to study,"
Colson leaned forward to look them over, "And these are?"
Sam took over here, "These are Omni tools, they are for communication, think of it as a wrist-mounted cellular phone with a scanning function as well as a holographic display, it also has a built-in computer that is capable of holding one zettabyte of data as well as a virtual assistant," she had studied one of the Omni tools in the vault and read its data in the library.
"Why give these to us?"
Alex pointed to the TV, "Four of us come from outside this reality; we know more or less what's going to happen in the future; that woman Carol Danvers gained her powers from something your people have been studying, the Tesseract to be exact."
Colson stiffened up at that, "That's classified top-level information."
"Only on Earth is it a hidden project, out in the universe are there people who have been monitoring the progress you scientists make in their studies, one day soon they will attempt to use the Tesseract as a power source when they do it can and will open a portal when that happens the rest of the people who are watching will assume that you are ready for a higher form of war and none of you are ready for that."
Colson sat back wide-eyed, " You said four of you, I see five people." he said while waving his hand toward the group.
Alex nodded, " My wife Samantha Carter, and our daughter Karen," he said pointing to them and then to Kira, " our traveling companion Kira of the house of El, " then he pointed to Loki, "And this is Loki Frigasdaughter of Asgard and currently on a mission from Odin to retrieve the Tesseract to hide it from the wider universe for all time,"
Colson started at the name of Loki, "Isn't Loki supposed to be a guy?" he asked.
Loki laughed, "Midgardian people who wrote your histories were not happy with my warrior's renown so changed my gender, I last visited Midgard five hundred years ago it was an interesting time to read the ballads and parables of my adventures other than the stories of my children being monsters as I've never had children," Loki said with amusement in her voice.
"Well, we're not here to fix the history books plus hundreds of years, and now they will not accept the truth, " Sam said while leaning over to pat Loki's knee.
"Anything else you can tell me, " Colson asked.
"Yeah in a year or so Stark is going to be feeling the effects of using palladium as the conducting material in his arc reactor the answer to this is found in that table where his dad built the model of the Stark expo," Alex told the man before taking on thinking look, "Sam go grab a sample of unobtanium and the data on how to make it and the theories on the ultrasonic laser platform, Fury wants clean energy it's why he's allowed them to study the tesseract," he said while trying to remember something else.
Sam smiled, then got up and left the room for a few minutes, then came back with a briefcase and put it on the table next to the Omni tools.
"That's a sample of a metal that has several uses, such as a deep Earth drilling vehicle or a drilling system to sink rods of the metal nearly to the core of the planet, under extreme pressure it produces energy that can be converted easily to electricity and the ultrasonic laser is versatile, it can be used in drilling to CnC cutters but the use I most recommend is using them to clean up landfills by breaking up the organic matter into dust and leaving the metals intact for recycling, " Sam told him turning the briefcase so Colson could look at the inside.
Colson picked up the papers, acting like he was reading, but in reality, he was checking for bombs or listening devices, "Yeah, Fury would like to see if this will do as you claim," he said, putting the papers back in the briefcase.
Sam and Alex smiled seeing through his inspection, "Yes he should be happy with these things the Omni tools are secure in communication and will bind to the wearer's DNA, they also use the world's telecom systems to connect and if you have a solar system-wide relay system you could speak to someone on Pluto while sitting at home with little delay," Sam pointed out as he picked one up and looked it over.
Alex watched him, then reached under the table, formed another, and passed it to Loki, who was looking at it curiously, "Slip it onto your wrist, then put your thumb on the center of the screen; it'll activate in a few seconds and get a read of your DNA."
Loki did as told when the screen flickered a few times she pulled back her thumb and watched as words scrolled over the screen, and after a few seconds more a featureless face formed, 'Hello I shall be your assistant in using the Omni tools functions, you can give me a name or allow me to choose one at random, be warned that this will choose a gender for myself,' the face told Loki in a monotone voice.
Loki listened and then nodded, "You shall be named Brynhild; I do not need your assistance at this time for now. Monitor and speak to me if you think I should know about something," she told the virtual assistant, who took on a female appearance then faded from the screen.
Colson watched this carefully then lifted one of the Omni tools from the case, "This is an interesting piece of technology, but I must ask, why give it to us?"
Alex smiled, "One reason is your organization is, for the most part, working to protect the Earth from domestic threats, and while it's a worthy goal, I'm giving these to you and those named because they're an unhakable form of communication as well as being untraceable."
Deciding to trust this group, he pulled the Omni tool onto his offhand wrist, followed the steps Loki did, and listened to the instructions, "I'll call you Hermiod, for now, go into standby."
Alex stood and walked to the door; placing his hand on the frame, he willed it to find this reality. Thor then gestured to Colson to look out of the window.
What they could see was Thor lying in the back of a van with all kinds of equipment Jane Foster was sitting with his head in her lap as the van sped down a desert road.
"That is Thor he is being punished by Odin, right now his powers have been stripped from him but he is still stronger than a normal person, that is astrophysicist Jane Foster and her mentor Eric Selvig and the intern Darcy Lewis right now they are in Puente Antiguo New Mexico scanning for spacial anomalies, your organization will get word in a day or so about something happening in the that area, I would recommend sending a team to study the 'Crashed satellite ' and request a copy of Jane's work so far and offer them funding for their research instead of confiscating it, her research can help the Earth's people in reaching beyond the moon one day," Alex told Colson as Loki looked over his shoulder to see Thor her chuckling startled the man who almost pulled his sidearm.
Alex hid his smile, "What has happened to my brother?" Loki asked a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Taser, it's a nonlethal weapon that can and will render the target unconscious he'll wake in the morning with a headache."
"Are you going to help him?" Colson asked Loki.
She shook her head, " My father has tasked me to liaison with you and your organization specifically you and Nicholas Fury."
Colson turned to face her, "Liaison?" he asked.
Loki nodded, "Friend Alex has spoken well of you, and Nicholas Fury and Father wish peace with you; I thought that I should be able to speak for my people in his stead."
Alex nodded as Colson turned to face him, "War is coming soon, and the Asgard will be able to help when the enemy is beyond the ability of the Earth's forces to handle, I am going to be taking the Tesseract so that the Earth's no longer in the cross-hair for a time longer but eventually someone will come looking for a fight, you and Fury will need to be ready for that day to come, The Avengers initiative is a good plan but you sometimes asking for outside help is not a bad thing."
Alex then willed the door to the location of the Tesseract, once he could see it in the cradle the S.H.E.I.L.D scientists had built to hold and study it and the energy it gave off.
