76. Hold the Fort!

A/N: Another day, another episode! What will I be subjecting the cast(including your own picks) to this time? Fortnite! Let's see who's going to squad up and survive for another day!

Fanfic dot net's being weird again with newer chapters randomly not being available. To anyone that follows this story, if there's a new chapter up and it doesn't work here, remember that I also post on AO3, Wattpad and Quotev. My name on those sites are the same as here.

Also, one very important thing that somehow slipped my mind from announcing at the end of the last chapter: I'm reworking the MK challenge a bit. As much as I would love to write Chess Kombat(Still my favorite MK extra/oddball game mode to date btw), there's some real fun ideas and possibilities that I thought about that I'd unfortunately have to leave out if I did. Along with some extra ideas that came to me recently. I think the trade-off, as much as I really hate not being able to write Chess Kombat, will ultimately be worth it and make just as fun of a chapter. :)

Raysen101: Glad you liked it. I still hate that fans of the series(myself included), were robbed of something like this with Battlefront III being cancelled(I know there's PSP/DS Elite Squadron but still. A PSP/DS is not a PC, 360, PS3 or a Wii. Respectfully of course. Those two were the first systems I ever owned so I love them). What was planned for it is better than anything I could ever write in regards to how I interpret these battles being like. And apparently EA & DICE too, as fun as their reboot of II looks, post-comeback and updates obviously. They still have yet to match Battlefront III/Elite Squadron in that department. I hope it happens eventually though. 60 player battles that large on modern consoles/PCs would go hard .

As for the Doncic trade, I was honestly shocked when I first saw it. I opened up Youtube to and that was one of the first things I saw at almost 12 at night and thought it was fake. And clearly, so did everyone else lol.

I personally don't like how the Mavs Front Office handled it. Trading their franchise player, the guy that helped you get to your first Finals since 2011, who helped them beat multiple teams nobody thought they could beat(The CP3-Booker-Ayton Suns a couple of years ago, the Thunder last year, and a Wolves team that just beat the then NBA Champ Nuggets. Okay, maybe not too much the last one but still, nobody thought the Nuggets would be gone that early), and not telling him or his agent anything , and costing him the bonus money he would have gotten when he just bought a house is not a good look at all. Not to mention constantly bringing up his weight unprovoked. Imagine fat-shaming the guy that has helped carried your franchise consistently since Dirk retired.(Meanwhile Zion, who weighs more, is missing/late to practices and isn't doing anything to change his habits, is still in New Orleans. My local teams can't seem to catch a break bro…. other than LSU, my own college :( ).

So yeah, I can see why Dallas fans are ticked off at the Front Office for doing this. Never in a million years did I think they could make a decision worse than Jerry Jones on the Cowboys. Jerry Jones (Side note, Brian Schottenheimer, really? LOL). But here we are. They literally got Klay and all those other players to help build around him and they end up trading him….. yeah, that makes perfect sense. Feb 25 th will be very interesting though… Now that I think of it, this is probably the most I've ever talked sports on a fanfic, so congrats on getting me to do that lol.

"Last time onTotal Drama Across the Multiverse! The teams were pit in a war. A Star War! Okay, I gotta admit, that did not land in the way I hoped it would."

Footage of the teams being explained the challenge for the day was shown.

"But anyway, the next challenge would be based on the universe of Star Wars and their massive planetary-based battles. But it wouldn't just be on the ground. They'd also battle in the sky, in space, and on their own capital ships! And to further emphasize the point of this being an all-out, large-scale battle, every single contestant, including their companions, would get a chance to compete! And with them, a veteran from Multiverse Edition would mark his return to the show: Gary the Stormtrooper!"

Footage of Gary explaining the basics of these battles and the Conquest mode from the Battlefront games to the cast was shown.

"Not only would he teach the cast how to dominate each other on the battlefield, but he himself, would also partake in it a bit, being a member of the Empire. The other teams would be the other three major factions in the Star Wars Universe. The Rats being the Rebels. The Kings being the Republic. And the Breakers being the CIS. Their goal? Get to 2000 points or have the most points after 90 minutes."

Footage of the teams representing their respective factions was shown, with the Rebels wearing military outfits, the Kings wearing Clone Trooper armor, and the Breakers being turned into Battle Droids. Footage of the Empire joining in the battle was also shown.

"It was a long winded battle. Lots of casualties. Respawns. Droid heads being taken off along with several other ways to see a Droid be destroyed. And two capital ships being destroyed. With naturally a lot of different exchanges between one another, along with a bit of strategy played as well. Maybe not the strategies that everyone on their team would have agreed with, but still a strategy nonetheless. But in the end, only one team could win. And that team being the CIS. And it was all thanks to Bakura denying Puss the chance to hand his team the victory twice. Well, really, one time as the first one would have probably just put their team in the lead."

Footage of Puss being denied the chance to destroy both the Imperial and CIS capital ship reactor cores by Bakura was shown.

"So close yet so far for the Rats. If they would have gotten those ships down. Heck, maybe even just one, they wouldn't have had to send someone home. But, can't play the game of what-ifs. And Puss learned that the hard way as he was the one that was sent home next. Although, Lucy was a close second, scoring one point in the entire game and despite that, being able to survive another day. And that was only because she used the Orbital Strike Cannon. That, and probably because she's grouped with Natsu and Happy."

Footage of Puss' elimination was shown.

"On the bright side though, he took the boot like a man. Or cat. Or gato. Fitting for a fearless hero. As for Lucy, I seriously doubt she's gonna be able to get away with doing that again. So, she better hope to play better or she'll be gone soon. Or maybe it'll be this episode? Let's find out, right now on Total….Drama….Across the Multiverse!"

Fortnite

A/N: Season 1-3's version of the game will be used here. I've watched other people play during later seasons, but Season 1 around the game's launch was when I really played it(and is the only time I've played it), and such, is what I'm the most familiar with.

Dawn(A/N: Ric Flair's theme)was heard playing as Scott was seen on a skateboard descending off a ramp created by some of his teammates, Zee, Hiruma and Murasakibara, the latter in of the three charge of the tall tasks(literally).

"WOOOOO!"

"Is it me but does your voice sound different!?" Randy called out.

"Different? What do you mean?" Scott asked before Beta, the source of the "WOO" was suddenly on his face, blocking his vision. "I can't see!"

"Yeah! 'Cause it's about to be lights out for you!" Beta confidently declared, smiling before Scott inadvertently sent him flying into a tree as he landed awkwardly, causing him to hit the empty jugs that he was set for him to jump over.

"Scott! Are you okay?" Hailey asked, quickly to check on him along with his other teammates and Beta, with said person on the ground, giving a thumbs up as his face was planted in the ground. "Beta, why would you do that?" She then notices he was wearing a blue Leotard. "And….. what in the world are you wearing?"

"Oh this? I was trying to get the jump on him, duh. To surprise him with my pro wrestling moves." Beta replied.

"Pro wrestling? Why would-" She stops herself and shakes her head. "You know what? I'm not even gonna ask right now. I'm more upset at you for doing that when we were in the middle of something. He could have gotten seriously hurt. Now we've got to start this over."

"Start over? Are you kidding? This is great!" Scott exclaimed, quickly back on his feet again.

"Great? Did you hit your head too hard or something? You failed."

"Uh yeah? That was what the point of this was the whole time."

"Wait, what?"

"Yeah. You don't remember? I told you this when I was first planning it out."

Flashback

"So, I'm planning on making a special episode. Where this time, it actually isn't just fails. I thought about doing some stuff involving some of the stronger guys here, but I feel like that'd be way more over the top than what my audience is used to. So, I just decided to go with this." He showed her a rough of sketch of what he wanted to do, complete with arrows, the material of each, how many obstacles, etc.

"Wow. You've got this really planned out."

"Yeah. I've been thinking about this for a few days. This is probably the most ambitious episode so far. And it makes sense as to why considering, you know, multiple people compared to when it's just me. So it would make sense to put a lot more thought and effort into it. So, this is how it's gonna go. I've already got a few people to agree to it, so as long as they're free, barring a challenge announcement, we'll be able to get it done. I go first. And when I do, I'm the example. You know the 'this is how youdodo it' guy. Then, the blah blah blah blah blah….."

"A plan, materials, direction. And he did all of this himself. Have I ever mentioned how cute he looks when he does this stuff? I don't know why. I know it's weird, but it's just kinda…." Hailey thought.

"Who's cute? Hailey, do you have a crush on someone here?"

"What? W-What would make you that?" She quickly replied, immediately snapping out of it.

"You just called someone cute."

"No I didn't!"

"Uh, yes you did."

"I'm certain I didn't."

"And I'm certain you did. You said 'I know it's weird, but it's just kinda….' And then you stopped. Look Hailey, if you like someone, I'm not going to make fun of you for it. I say go for it! Tell him how you feel! When you're ready of course."

"Scott, while I appreciate you for being supportive, I'm pretty sure I would know if I called someone cute, considering it's coming from my own mouth. I'd hear it. Now enough about me, let's get back to talking about you and your new episode! Really liking the idea so far."

Scott wasn't sure what to say at first. He could have sworn he heard her say something about someone being cute out loud, but, he wasn't going to argue with her logic. "O-okay then. Really glad you're liking it so far though. So, as I was saying, it's a pretty good sense of irony. And-"

End Flashback

It was all coming back to her now. "Huh. Ireallyneed to work on making sure my thoughts arejustthoughts."

"What thoughts?"

"Uh, nothing! Don't worry about it! What we do need to worry about is getting these set back u-"

Someone was heard crashing into the roof of the house. That someone being Monta, who was supposed to be after Scott. Seconds later, he was kicked back through the hole that he made before landing face first on the ramp.

"Was that supposed to happen?" Bakura asked, also there with them. Moreso watching more than anything else.

"No, it wasn't. Good thing that wasn't recorded." Hailey said.

"Too late!" Hiruma said, stopping the second recording.

"That's not funny. We can't use that!"

"Actually, I think we can. Bonus blooper footage!" Randy exclaimed.

"Blooper footage….. I like it!" Scott said.

"You can put all the blooper footage you want. Just make sure I'm in the real footage." Beta said to him.

"Sure! We're probably gonna have to take the music you played out though. Might be copyright."

"Eh, fair."

*Confessional*

Beta(Wave Breakers):

"What? You haven't seen a bear in a leotard before? Well, you have now!" He then points to the camera. "Mess with me and you're gonna get a smackdown! You hear me!? You've been warned."

*End Confessional*

About 30 minutes later, Randy was in his room reading a comic book when the NinjaNomicon started glowing. He took it out of his backpack.

"Well, at the very least, it's not at a painfully inconvenient time." Randy said.

The Nomicon began to shake a bit.

"All right! All right, I'm coming. Sheesh. A guy can't even speak his piece?"

He put the comic book over the Nomicon before opening it. The pages began to quickly turn before Randy was left with a stunned face as the book glowed before he sat back against the wall as his eyes rolled to the highest he went, dropping both books on his lap. Going inside the book, he was on top of a scroll that was used as a walkway.

"Okay, what lesson have you got for me today?" Randy said, patiently as he sat down.

Two ninjas were seen shaking hands. One in red and one in black. When the one in red turned around, the one in black threw a smoke bomb at him before finishing him off while the ninja was disoriented.

"The most dangerous enemy often wears the mask of an ally"

"Yeah, you can't fool me by changing what happens. I learned this one already. Anything else?"

"Sometimes you must reflect to the past to prepare for the future."

"Okay, that's a new one. That you literally just used because I said something about the other one."

The black ninja turned towards him before running at him.

"Okay, okay, bad choice of words! I don't think I like where this third lesson is going!" The ninja sliced in his direction as Randy shielded himself to try to brace for the attack. But instead, he only sliced a wall behind him, tearing through it before Randy was sucked into it as if it were a black hole.

No longer stunned back in the real world, he sighs. "Alright, guess I better-" A thought came to him before he felt someone touching his shoulder. That someone being Bakura. Randy yelled. "Can you like, not do that next time?"

"Sorry. I was just checking to see if you were alright. I was on the verge of calling someone in here for medical attention." He replied.

"Yeah. Just fell asleep, that's all."

"The product of playing all of those video games throughout the night I suppose."

"Yep. And you know what? I'll do it again." Randy declared.

Bakura laughed. "Good thing there's no school for any of us. I think you, Toxsa and a few others would be great at a no-sleep challenge."

"Yeah, but let's make sure Sebastian doesn't play. He literally never sleeps. That's just cheating."

"True. Very true. Well, I'll see you around." Bakura said before leaving the room.

After making sure he was out of the doorway of the room, his expression had completely changed as he had entered his own room.

"So my suspicions are confirmed. Thereissomething within that book. Otherwise, he'd have no reason to lie about being up all hours of the previous night. In fact, no one other than Sebastian was up the previous night. I suppose I should thank my host for needing a nighttime bathroom break. And I'm going to find out what exactly is in there, whether you like it or not." Yami Bakura thought.

Deep inside the book, a spiritual manifestation of Bakura was seen rising out of the water outside of a dojo.

An hour later, after Scott had finished his episode, with the ramp and other objects they used no longer being there, Bennett was about to go into the house to get something. From the angle that he was at, he could see multiple boards of wood hammered down in the roof on the hole that Monta made as he unconsciously looked up a bit. "You know what? I'm not even gonna ask." He said aloud before entering the house.

About a minute later, Huey was the one to do it though. "What the heck happened to the house!?"

"Do you really want to know?" Bennett asked, walking out of it, hearing him from inside.

"Yes!"

"Just know that I didn't do it. And honestly, with everything else that goes on around here, that's good enough for me."

"Well if you didn't do it, do you know who did?"

"Nope. Like I said, all I need to know is that I didn't do it."

"Well, at least it's fixed. Not perfect but, something's better than nothing."

"I suppose that's one way to look at it." Sebastian said, joining them as he looked up at what they were referring to. "I can only hope that we can all do our parts to make sure our home doesn't degrade to what the previous one was."

"Nah. Nothing will get as bad as that." Bennett said.

"I certainly hope not. What are you two gentlemen up to?"

"Was about to find something to read." Huey answered.

"Just trying to be productive." Bennett answered.

"Well!? It's time to put up or shut up!" Kaz was heard yelling, somewhere that was out of view of the three but loud enough for them to hear.

"I'm not going to fight you Kaz. Or race you." Shiro said.

"Why? It couldn't be because you're scared, isn't it?" Kaz taunted.

"I refuse to do it because it's a waste of time. Mine and yours."

"Yeah, well don't you think we're wasting more time just sitting here talking?"

"My thoughts exactly. Which is why you need to drop this."

"So now it's my fault? You're the one that decided to butt in on something no one asked you to!"

"What exactly is you confronting him going to solve?"

"A lot more than just letting him keep talking to people how he wants, that's for sure. But I guess you got a soft spot for the guy since he's kinda like you in a way."

Shiro only closed his eyes and began to walk away.

"Hey! You think you can just ignore me and walk off and make it look 'cool'!?" Shiro still ignored him. "Shiro!" Kaz was gritting his teeth in anger."Alright. If that's how it's gonna be….."

"GO!" He called out, having Falgor go directly at him, with full intent on attacking him. But Shiro was able to avoid getting hurt with Wolver block the attack.

"Well? Are you gonna fight back or-" Kaz started before noticing something.

It actually wasn't Wolver that did it. It was Giamoth, something that even somewhat surprised Shiro.

"Diego?" Kaz said, surprised.

"That's enough." Diego said to him.

"So you're taking Shiro's side to huh?"

"I'm not takinganyone'ssides!"

"Well if you're really not taking anyone's sides, you'll get out of the way."

"NO! I'M NOT MOVING!" Diego yelled.

Kaz thought aboutmakingDiego move. Heavily, but for some reason, he decided not to. Though Shiro was the one to actually give out a command.

"Wolver, that's enough." Shiro declared before it completely stopped, with him picking up the machine.

"You coward!" Kaz said. "Who said we were done!?"

Shiro only began to walk away again. "Nothing's good going to come from this, Kaz. Drop this."

"Tch, this guy….." He then noticed Diego was already leaving too, without saying a word.

*Confessional*

Kaz(Wave Breakers):

"I don't get why Shiro is so insistent on getting in the way. Listen, I'm not saying Kunigami isn't good. What I don't like is him thinking he can stay here and continue to act like that. And I'm not the only one. You heard what Jenny said about him. It's like racing with Ryu. Sure he's powerful, but the trade-off with how he acts isn't worth it….. I can't believe I almost ended the team by wanting to team up with him for the Graduation Gran Prix. All because I wanted to win. The type of personality with the guys you win with is just as importantaswinning. I mean, cheaters may win. But at the same time, there aren't a lot of people that would respect you regardless."

*End Confessional*

*Confessional*

Shiro(Wave Breakers):

"Look, I'm not saying I'm okay with everything Kunigami does or says. But Kaz doing this isn't going to make anything better. Kunigami's already made it clear that he's not just going to open up in the way some people here just suddenly expect him to. If anyone wants to get something out of him for him tomaybechange, that's not going to be it."

*End Confessional*

"What? Have you lost it?" Noelle said to Kaz after he was telling Asta about what confronting Kunigami. Both Black Bull Members were currently practicing with one another.

"What do you mean 'have I lost it'?" Kaz replied, in disbelief.

"Why would you think that's a good idea? That's only going to create problems for the team. Especially in challenges."

"Well what do you suggest then?"

"Anything other than what basically sounds like harassment."

"Noelle's right. Look, I get what you're trying to do, but it's only going to make things worse. In-fighting is not what we need." Asta said.

"I can't believe it! You too?" Kaz said.

"Just think about what I'm saying for a second. Has in-fighting ever been a good thing?"

Kaz sighs, thinking about the in-fighting between his own team members on Team JET, remembering back to when the team was almost no more in a mere matter of moments. "No. It hasn't." He then started to walk away.

During the entire exchange, Diego was seen secretly watching.

In another area, Razer was off to himself, looking ahead at the boundless water in front of him.

"One day Aya. One-" Razer thought before Diego broke him out of his thoughts.

"What's up Razer? Guess I kinda took you outta your thoughts for a second there." Diego said.

"It's fine. I can tell that you want to talk about something anyways." He replied.

"That obvious huh? Well, I mean you're not wrong." Diego said before sitting down as well. "It's about Kaz and Kunigami. I guess you could add Shiro into that mix too but it's mostly the first two. Kaz hasn't been a fan of how Kunigami has been acting. I don't think it's a secret that he doesn't have the most likeable personality around here, but I think things really came to a head when we were in 2034. He's been trying to get Kunigami to talk but he hasn't exactly been saying 'yes' to those requests. And Kaz didn't exactly like that. But Shiro stopped him before he tried anything. So when he got in his way, Kaz wanted to fight or race him too." Diego began to explain. "But Shiro didn't want to do either. Kaz still tried to go after him anyway, and Shiro was about to get Wolver to stop the attack. But before that happened, I stopped it. And, you guessed it, Kaz didn't like that either. I'm not trying to take anyone's side on this. All I wanted is for the needless in-fighting to stop."

"And I'm guessing he thought you were trying to take a side?"

Diego nodded. "Yeah. I've seen firsthand how in-fighting almost broke our team apart. Numerous times. Or got us into situations that we could have easily avoided otherwise. I don't want to see that here. Not just on Team JET, but our team as a whole."

"Well, I guess it's a good thing I can sympathize with that, rather than be supportive of it, considering Iamon another team."

Diego laughed a little. "Yeah, you're right about that."

"Personally, I can understand why Kaz would be so upset. Like you said before, Kunigami's personality isn't exactly one that would be considered likeable by any means. However, there's also Kunigami's side to all of this. Something that I'm not sure some of you have thought about. And something that he himself isn't exactly keen on telling you all about either. During the challenges we've gone against each other in, I could feel the rage in his heart. But, it's more than just that. His sense of hope is low. I could even tell just by looking at him. His body language. His eyes. Yes, he's still competitive and wants to win, but I can tell that he's a shell of his former self. That's what Isagi and Bachira have that he does not. Hope. And one of the main reasons why I believe they are so different compared to him, despite what Blue Lock would seem to be at face value. Why that difference is the case, I do not know. But, I do believe these two things are in conjunction with one another."

"Huh. I know it's not much, but it's a lot better compared to what we knew before, which was pretty much next to nothing."

"Yes. That's definitely a good way to look at it." Razer said before his Blue and Red Rings lit up. "May I?"

"Uh….. kinda would be good to know what you want to do before I say yes or no."

"I waned to check your emotions. Particularly rage and hope."

"Ah. Sure! Go ahead!"

With his approval, Razer pointed both rings at him. After a few seconds, he finally said something.

"Interesting how there's little to no rage in your heart. Very, very similar to Lotte, Molly and Libby. I can see why you'd be friends with them. Zee and Scott are similar, but those two's personalities are a lot different compared to theirs."

"Hey, when you got food, there ain't exactly too much to get angry about." Diego said, laughing. "But it's funny you say that. Ryu told me the same thing a while back, during one of the races in the Final Gran Prix."

"If food was all you needed, then I'm curious why more people aren't like you. Such as Murasakibara."

"Murasakibara? What do you mean? He's pretty laid back to me."

"Perhaps too laid back for some people's tastes here. But he's a different case compared to you."

"I guess because he's not exactly as open with talking with people and doing stuff." Diego said before he thought of something. "Exactly how many people have you read the emotions of around here? I know for sure I wasn't one of those people until now."

"Several. Mostly the people that I competed with or against. Or anyone that I was curious about. Or felt that I needed to check. I would never do it just because. Even if it isn't exactly the same as reading someone's mind completely, it is still a part of it. And what is inside it, and your heart, is sacred to everyone."

"Do you think, I made the right decision? Stepping in to stop Kaz?"

"Like I said before, I can sympathize with why you did it. But ultimately, it's up to you ifyoufeel like you made the right one. Not me."

"Attention contestants! If you're hearing this, which I hope you are, that means you've got a challenge today! Meet up in front of your home with the fixed-up hole in it!" Chris was heard yelling.

"Hole? What hole?" Diego said, confused.

"I suppose we're about to find out." Razer said before both of them headed to where Chris asked them to go.

After about fifteen or so minutes, the remaining contestants met up in front of their home.

"Alright, first off, nice hole in the roof." Chris said.

"Fixedhole." Hailey corrected.

"Well, not fixed enough. Because you can still tell there was a hole there."

"It's good enough. This is something that old geezer would be useful for if we wanted it to be perfect, but unfortunately he's not here." Hiruma said, referring to Musashi.

"Anyone wanna explain how that even happened in the first place?" Ayame asked.

"Monta fell through the roof. And then he got kicked back out." Scott answered.

"Anyone want to explainwhythat happened?"

"First one, we were recording a video. Monta falling through was an accident. Second one, I don't know."

"She kicked me out." Monta said, pointing to Diana.

"You kicked him out? Why?"

"That's not important. Chris, can you explain what we'll be doing today?" Diana said, immediately trying to change the subject.

"Yeah. Today, you'll be aiming to take each other out in a challenge based on the popular Free to play game Fortnite."

"Fortnite? When you really think about it, I'm-" Hailey's comments were cut off by Hiruma.

"You said we'd have to play a second game on the last challenge. What happened to that?" He asked.

"Oh that. After no one called me out on it after the game frame one, and not even that night or the day after, I was surprised. Yeah, I lied. No way we're doing something like that a second time. That large scale? Uh uh." Chris explained.

"Probably because by the time it ended, most people were just glad it was over and done with. I know I was." Julie figured. "And I technically didn't even do anything with my real body. That's the crazy part."

"Mental fatigue is probably what you're looking for." Myron said.

"Yeah, probably."

"Eh. It was only 90 minutes. I can just take a break for a bit, come back, and be back at it like nothing happened." Toxsa said.

"Of course you'd say that. That's what you do all day." Aomine said.

"So? All you do is just run around playing basketball. So what's the difference?"

"Yeah, I guess I walked right into that one. Not even gonna argue with that."

"Focusing back on what's in front of us," Weiss started, in an attempt to get everyone to focus back on the challenge. "Why lie this time though? It makes no sense for you to do it. What exactly do you get from that? Even from a standpoint of 'you just wanted to mess with us' it still doesn't make sense, because there were better ways you could have done that. Theoretically speaking." She continued, adding the last part to avoid speaking something into existence.

"This time, it was moreso just to try to catch some of you slipping. See who'd slack off and who wouldn't because they have the 'cushion' of a second match. Which is an easy pitfall to get someone eliminated for if someonediddecide to do that. And surprisingly, even if the stats say otherwise for some of you," Chris answered.

"Could you make it any less obvious?" Lucy said.

"Who said I was talking about you? But yeah, I kinda was. Considering you had the worst stats. Which weren't even bad because you were. You just didn't do any-"

"Okay, okay, we get it. I got one point. Can we please move on?"

"Since you insist, yeah. Now, back to today's challenge. Fortnite!"

"And back to what I was saying before I wasrudelycut off, I'm not too surprised by the choice." Hailey said. "Moreso the placement. One shooting game after we just did one with Star Wars?"

"I see your point on that.But, Fortnite and that are two completely different approaches to shooting games. Especially in the context of this, where it's a completely different scale. The last game, everyone got a chance to play. This one? Only four of you are gonna get to do that from each team. Basically like the Squads game mode." Chris began to explain.

"For those of you that have never played or heard of Fortnite in your life, don't worry, we'll be using elements from the first few Seasons of the game. Meaning that things present in later seasons will not be in this one. In other words, don't expecttoomuch to be thrown at your face."

"But anyways, let's get to actually explaining the challenge, and by extension, what's going to go down in the beginning. The twelve of you will get in one party bus in the air. And eventually, you'll be dropped and parachuted off to land on the ground on an island. Luckily for you and your bones, we'll do this via VR. If it was any other section of the season, I would have made you do this for real, on a real island. You'll start with an axe, but you'll be able to get other items as you explore. If you're downed youcanget revived. But if no one gets you in time, or you take too much damage while you're downed, you're out of the game for good. But don't worry, if you're downed, youcanfight back. Maybe not as well as if you were up and running, but something is better than nothing. If your entire team gets killed, you're out. And no, friendly fire is not active in this. So, if you make a mistake, or you wanna mess around, you can do that risk-free. Of a kill that is. How that sits with your teammates I don't know. Just throwing that disclaimer out there before someone blames me. The first team that goes down has to send someone home for elimination. The last team standing wins the challenge and gets a prize. And that's about it. Any questions?"

"No abilities, right?" Yulaw asked.

"Nope. No abilities, no heroes, none of that. Anyone else?"

"We'll still be able to talk to each other, right? Like game voice chat." Scott asked.

"Yep! But only each other. You'll all have your own voice channels. Any other questions?"

"Are we going to be able to pick who goes for this?" Akashi asked.

"Nah. Anything else?"

None was given.

"Alright! For the Rats, Diana, Monta, Rick and Lucy will be playing. For the Kings, Huey, Ben, Todd and Penny will be competing."

Just then, Randy had ran in to join the rest of the contestants.

"Nice of you to join us."

"Sorry. Bathroom." He answered.

"Well, better late than never. Because you, Bakura, Kunigami and Kaz will all be competing in the current challenge."

"Okay, anyone wanna explain what that challenge is?"

"Nope! Not doing it again, and nobody tell him. At least not for right now. Besides, it's not that hard anyway. I think you'll figure it out. Now, on the bus people!" He said, pointing to said bus.

*Confessional*

Chris:

"While the game gets set up, you may be thinking that these picks were random. They in fact, were not. For this game, I tried to put a little bit of emphasis on groups, since Fortnite's team mode is called 'Squads', why not have each squad be made up of guys from groups already? And with this, this'll put a lot of pressure on the teams on who to eliminate, because now, they can't get by with the 'eliminate the lone man' thing here and just move on to the next day. Whoever goes is gonna have some people to take with them. Only exceptions to this rule are Randy, Kunigami and Bakura. I chose Randy just because he came late. No other reason than that. Kunigami and Kaz I heard haven't exactly been getting along, so it'd be interesting to see if they can work together here. And if they can't? Well, more than likely that's probably gonna cause one of them to get the boot if they lose. And Bakura? I chose him because it'd be pretty funny to see the hero of the last game get dumped the challenge after. And that's about it. Onto the game!"

*End Confessional*

Party Bus

After a few minutes, the twelve were on a bus, but instead of being on the ground, they were now in the air, on the party bus, preparing to land.

"You know-" Randy started.

"I have a feeling that whatever you're gonna say is gonna cause Chris to retroactively change something. So for once, please shut the hell up. Thanks." Rick said.

"Rudeness aside, very, very fair point."

Rick was suddenly launched off the bus. "Oh SH[CENSORED]!" He was heard yelling out as he was launched off.

"Ha! That's-" Randy started before being launched off himself as he was also heard yelling.

Everyone else at other different points in time were also suddenly launched off the bus. Thankfully for all of them, they had parachutes.

Once they had all landed, Chris made an announcement.

"So, if you've played, you're probably wondering why you weren't able to get off when you wanted to, or when time expired. That's because I didn't want you guys to all land in the same spot. At least not that easily anyway. Not just because predictably, you'd group up and stick together, but also because there was the chance all twelve of you land in the same spot, a bunch of stuff happens all at once, and one team wins in like two minutes and the challenge is over. Nobody wants to see that. Especially since we're only doing one round of this. It could still happen anyway, but at least it won't be as obvious as it would have been if the stuff I said before would've happened too. And no, Chef and the others will not be making an appearance here. It'll be just you twelve on that island."

"It's true. We're all still out here." Doyle said.

"Now, good luck! And watch the storm! You get caught in it, you're in a world of trouble. That's all I'll say."

"Good idea for us to group up ASAP. Where are you guys?" Ben asked. He and the other 11 players all had pickaxes. Ben himself was in Wailing Woods. As the name implied, there were several trees all around him. A lone cabin was also in the distance.

"I'm next to a pizza restaurant. And a gas station." Huey said.

"While describing our location works, the only problem is that none of us are capable of determining how far we are from one another, with no type of access to a map." Penny said quietly.

"True. Any reason why you're speakingsolow though? I get not wanting to yell, but I had to put the watch up super close to my ear to hear anything." Ben said as he explored the forest. "And no, before anyone asks, it doesn't work. I tried it already." He added as he used the pickaxe to take down trees and harvest some materials. He was also able to find a Uncommon Rarity Pistol.

"Because….. I think someone's in here with me. I am in a warehouse."

And she in fact, was right. Bakura, assault rifle in hand, was up above on a higher platform, looking around as he believes he heard someone rummaging around for things. That someone being Penny, who was using a Submachine Gun with a suppressor equipped on it.

Meanwhile, as Randy was harvesting materials, the lesson from the Nomicon was still running through his mind.

"It's gotta be Kunigami. He's the only one that makes sense. The problem is, I don't wanna get too close to the guy and I get taken out." Randy thought.

A shot running past his head was what immediately broke him out of his thoughts and immediately forced him to take cover behind a tree, which, considering how he was in a rather open area, wasn't too much cover at all. Knowing this, Randy immediately put the materials he harvested to use and pulled out a blueprint to build a stone and wooden wall to surround all sides of himself with.

His attacker, Diana saw this and was upset at herself, knowing that with him now on high alert that an enemy was near, she probably wasn't going to get an opportunity like that again. In the back of her head, she knew that the better shooters, Rally, Whisper, and more than likely even Hiruma, would not miss that headshot, but she had to quickly put that behind her and move past it if she hoped to help her team win.

She started to jog forward to where the structure that Randy created currently was, keeping on the lookout for a surprise attack herself. Not just from Randy, but from anyone else. If she was watching Randy, there was always the chance that someone was watchingher.

As for Randy, he knew that moving would probably put him at risk of being shot, but he was willing to take that risk over staying put and watching his structure slowly get shot down. And plus, he still had his quick and nimble reflexes to use to dodge the shots as well. That was something that this game couldn't take away from him.

As for his other two teammates, they were lucky(or unlucky depending on how you looked at it), to have been able to find each other at Tilted Towers, a small city-like area where several buildings, cars, etc. were located. Although surprisingly, neither Kaz nor Kunigami antagonized one another. But that didn't exactly mean they were just 'getting along' either. Both were silent towards one another, only splitting any of the items and materials that they were able to find. The former had an assault rifle, while the latter had a shotgun. Both of which had the Rare rarity.

Though eventually, the silence had gotten to Kaz enough to the point where he couldn't take it anymore.

"Look man, I-" Kaz started before Kunigami covered his mouth and brought him to the ground behind a bush. Kaz was taken off guard by this for a few seconds before he regained his senses and immediately tried to get Kunigami's hands off him. Which didn't work due to how much stronger the soccer player was compared to him. He was about to try something else to get him off, but Kunigami let him go a couple of seconds later.

"Tryin' to strangle me huh!? Well if that's how it's going to be, then I-"

"Shut up!" Kunigami replied.

"Oh yeah? Well here's what I got to say to that!" Kaz was about to kick him before a grenade was thrown by them, with Kunigami being forced to grab Kaz by the arm and basically drag him to safety as they were being shot at. But unlike Diana, the attackers didn't miss, hurting both of them before they were able to get into a building.

"They're hurt!" Lanolin, the source of the bullets along with Lucy and Monta said before the third of the three was already running in to try to finish them off. "Wait!"

"Huh!? But you just said-" Monta started.

"We should use our grenades to flush them out. If we just run in, there's always the chance of us getting snuck up on and killed. And if we all die this early in the game, it might be all but over for us."

"Ahh. Good idea! Save your grenades. These should be enough!" He then pulled out one of the two remaining grenades he had. "MAX TOSS!" He yelled out before chucking them at one of the windows of the building they were hiding in. It was able to go into a window, but not the right one, going into one right above the floor the two were hiding in. He then threw another smoke grenade, but this time, it went completely over the building, to his horror.

"Well, I guess one out of two's good?" Lucy said, trying to be positive, while also having a comically stunned look on her face at how awful the second throw was.

"Even if it doesn't cover everything, the smoke may have scared them enough to force them to move. Let's go in! But watch yourselves." Lanolin said.

The second grenade would actually not go to too much waste though. Because it would land near the building that Todd was in, who was also in the area, searching for items. The nearby grenade explosion along with the gunshots prior were enough to spook him and cause him to try to quickly find a way out, destroying a wall to do it. He ran as fast as he could out of Tilted Towers and immediately tried to find a place to hide and tried to stand still and be as quiet as a mouse. He didn't even want to move his eyes around either.

Meanwhile, back at Tilted Towers, the three Rats were already in the building, slowly looking around for their two targets. When they couldn't find them on the first floor, they slowly made their way upstairs before Lucy suddenly thought about something and stopped them.

"Wait!" She said, in a low voice.

"What is it?" Lanolin asked, also in a low voice.

"One of us should stay back. As much as I'd like to think positive, there's still the chance that anything could go wrong. And if it does, at least someone will be able to pick the others back up."

"Good idea."

"I'll stay down here."

Lanolin nodded before she and Monta began to slowly go up the stairs, trying to make as little noise as possible as they did. Once they got to the second floor, they quickly looked around. Nothing looked like it was touched at all. When they turned to their right, another flight of stairs was seen along with three rooms on the side of them.

Lucy pointed to the stairs and then the rooms in a way that made it clear to Lanolin she was asking where they should go. Lanolin pointed towards herself, then forward and then pointed at Lucy and to the ground before pointing to the left and the right. Nodding, Lucy stayed put and watched the doors and the stairs as Lanolin slowly moved forward, submachine gun readied for if she needed to shoot at a moment's notice.

When she got up the stairs, there was no one in sight. In any of the three regular rooms she checked. And even the bathroom. She stopped and took a deep breath to calm herself.

Just then, shotgun shots were heard, immediately causing her to start looking around to see where they were from. And they were under her. A distress signal was suddenly sent to her, Diana and Monta. The signal coming from Lucy, who was down from getting blasted in the face by Kunigami with the shotgun he wielded.

If it wasn't for the fact that he was dancing for some odd reason, she would have been finished.

As Monta ran up to save Lucy, more gunshots were heard up above her before a window was also heard being broken. Monta was admittedly confused as to why Kuinigami was dancing out of nowhere but wasn't going to question it and immediately helped up Lucy, with the two immediately running upstairs to help Lanolin. When they got there, only she was seen, along with multiple bullet holes along the walls and other objects.

"He jumped out the window. I guess he figured he'd lose the fight and took his losses." Lanolin said, wrapping bandages around her arms to heal herself. "Kunigami?"

"He was….. dancing for some reason." Monta said.

"Yeah, that was because of the boogie grenade I had. Which clearly lives up to its name." Lucy said, not expecting the result herself before realizing something. "Kunigami!" She immediately started to run back down the stairs to try to find him. But he was already long gone.

Monta and Lanolin joined her back down the stairs.

"Great." She said sarcastically before Monta hit himself on the forehead multiple times.

"That's on me. I just took Lucy and ran. I didn't think about taking him out." He said.

"Don't worry about it. At the very least, I'm still alive."

"Which means we're pretty much starting over now." Lanolin said as footsteps were heard in the direction of the stairs. They all immediately trained their guns in that direction. Something that said person preparing to take the stairs, Diana, didn't expect.

She immediately raised her hands, and hand cannon in the air, a surprised look on her face before quickly saying, "Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"

"Sorry. After what just happened, you can't exactly blame us for doing that." Lucy said.

"Which exactly why I came here. You sent a distress call."

"I did?"

"Yes. You didn't mean to do that?"

"I'm assuming that must have happened when she went down. I got sent one too." Lanolin said.

"Well, if one good thing came out of this, it's that all of us are together now. Not sure if that can be said about the other teams." Lucy said as they went outside to get building materials from what was in the streets.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. I was chasing after Randy before I got the signal. I'd be surprised if he didn't tell the others I was after him. Luckily for me, no one was around to come and help him right away." Diana said.

"Good to know. Which means it looks like the hectic part's over and done with now."

"Even so, we still need to keep our guards up and our heads on a swivel. I don't know if we'll get that lucky again." Lanolin said.

After taking a few more seconds, they were off again, with them unknowingly running past Todd, who was still in the same spot.

When he heard the running in the grass stop, he breathed a sigh of relief and waited another few minutes before getting ready to move only to have his mouth covered suddenly. His immediate yells were muffled out before he also started shooting as well before his weapons was forcefully taken away from him. So he pulled out a grenade. If he was about to go down, then so was the attacker. Until said attacker took the grenade from him, overpowering him and threw it out as it harmlessly exploded. Unfortunately for him, he'd be carried along at a high speed, mouth still covered. When he looked up and wondered why he wasn't dead yet, it was because it was his own teammate, Penny carrying him.

After about a minute, she stopped and set him down, uncovering his mouth.

"What's the big idea!? You almost gave me a heart-" She immediately covered his mouth again.

"You must keep your voice down or there's the chance someone from another team will hear us." Penny said, in a low voice.

"Well maybe don't do something like what you did earlier." He replied, lowering his voice.

"Considering where you were hiding, and your facial expression, I could tell you were scared. If I didn't cover your mouth, your yelling might have attracted attention to here."

"Like the shooting and the grenade explosion couldn't have? And second, I was just trying to make sure I didn't get caught. I wasn't scared until you just covered my mouth out of nowhere. And even then, I just panicked. Fight or flight you know?"

"Yes. I am aware of 'fight or flight'. However, I don't think that applies to you in that context."

"You calling me a liar?"

"Ben? Huey? How are you guys doing?"

"Hey! I know you heard me!"

"Good. Sounds like you found Todd." Ben replied as he was with Huey, with the latter drinking a shield potion.

"Yeah, she tried to ambush me. Now she's trying to ignore me."

"Look, I don't know what's going on, and honestly, it sounds like something for me to not really care too much about. We're not too far from a lake. It looks like it runs pretty far, so if you find it, you should be able to find us."

"Right. We're on our way." Penny said.

Meanwhile, inside the Nomicon…..

The spiritual manifestation of Bakura was in a forest, with him being accompanied by multiple Goblin Zombies, with the dojo he entered actually leading him to a seemingly endless pitfall(literally) to here. And even then, that was only because he was able to grab onto one of the ledges of the platform with assistance of one of his monsters to help grab on to it.

A dart suddenly flew at him from above, which he was able to see just in time to get out of the way of it. And then another from the side, which he also was able to dodge. And then two more. Both of which were blocked by one of the Goblin Zombies with him.

"If this is what you think will stop me, then-" He was hit with multiple from all sides, with them being too many for him to dodge, causing his vision to blur and seconds later, black out as he fell to unconsciousness.

Fortnite Battle Island

The real Bakura suddenly had an audibly surprised look on his face.

"Hey, you alright?" Randy asked him. He and Randy were just able to regroup with Kunigami and Kaz as they were currently near a hut.

"Yes. I'm fine. Just, had a bad feeling." Bakura lied.

"Bad feeling huh? Better be ready." Randy thought, looking at Kunigami, who was on watch for anyone coming.

"Admittedly, I wholeheartedly underestimated what I would see in that book. But it won't happen again. In fact, all you've done is give me more of a reason to try again. If it's trying that hard to kick me out and prevent me from even exploring, then there is definitely something it doesn't want me to see." Yami Bakura thought before looking at Randy, who was looking at his inventory. "Of course, it won't really matter too much if the owner's gone. So, I suppose I'll have to see to it that he survives this game. Who knows? Perhaps I can take and use it for myself."

"Alright, I think I'm good on supplies. Everyone ready to get moving?" Kaz asked.

"We've got no choice but to be now. Look what's behind us." Kunigami said, now facing his teammates and seeing what seemed to have been some sort of blue field closing in on them. On the other side of that field was a purple sky, with the environment engorged in a storm. None of them needed to be told that they needed to get moving, and fast.

After successfully distancing themselves from the storm, shots were heard being fired.

"Back here!" Randy said, pointing behind an elevated piece of land. His teammates all joined him behind the rock. "Bushes." Randy said to them afterwards.

"What? Why this early? We can hear the shots but they're notthatclose." Kunigami said.

"Because if we don't, we call easily get sniped and its game over for us, that's why. Just like it could have been game over for me earlier if they would have made that shot. But hey, if you want to stay out in the open, I won't stop you. No promises we'll get you if that happens."

"Randy, you'd really leave him to die like that?" (Yami) Bakura asked in disbelief.

"Of course not. But at the same time, no one else deserves to endanger themselves over a decision that he made."

Kunigami was already in the bush disguise. "Well? Come on!"

All of them, now in bush disguises, were on the move again towards the gunfire. When they stood up, their legs and heads could be seen, but the rest of their bodies were covered. However, unlike when hiding in a real bush, all of them could wield their weapons easily, as if they weren't wearing the disguise at all.

The gunfire was in Pleasant Park. And with the battle taking place from all four members of the Rats and the Kings, this park was nothing but pleasant now.

Pleasant Park was a large neighborhood with multiple houses, with a lone soccer field and gas station also present.

Lanolin was hit in one of her legs, downing her, being downed by Todd, who was on wooden stairs that he made in the air. He continued to shoot at her to try to finish her off. Aggressiveness that almost paid off until a grenade was launched at his structure by Monta. Seeing this, he immediately tried to build a wall, but it wasn't enough for him to be completely protected from the explosion, as he fell off the stairs. He was still on an elevated platform he made, but he was out in the open too. Something that Monta and Lanolin, pistol in hand, took advantage of and downed him.

"Somebody? Anybody! Help!" Todd desperately called out, just as desperately trying to crawl out of their line of fire.

"I would but, I'm in a bit of a bind here!" Ben said, hiding behind a car as Lucy was staring down at him, literally as she had built a small flight of stairs, crossbow in hand. She had already hit him once. Another arrow would more than likely down him and both of them knew it. He pulled out his blueprints and pencil, formulating a plan to try and build his way out.

"Same here!" Huey said as he was just picked up by Penny after getting sniped by Diana, who was carefully watching where they'd go next, in a house, looking out a window. Penny herself was lucky she wasn't also downed.

"Great. Some teammates huh?" Todd thought as he was getting shot at by Lanolin and already hit by another grenade from Monta. Even though it was his own decision to get out of his teammates' helping reach to try and get a better vantage point. At least in the case of Ben, he was flushed out and forced to be separated by opposing team members. Luckily for him, with how inconsistent Monta's aim is, a couple of shots that should have otherwise ended him missed. But it wouldn't mean too much as he was on his last legs.

"Welp. Guess this is it. Good luck guys. You're my only hope. If we lose, I'm probably toast."

His vision was preparing to black out. And as it did, he saw a shining chest hidden in one of the houses.

Another shot was heard. A yell was heard just as Lanolin was picked up. That yell being from Monta, who was downed in one hit. The second Lanolin pulled out her blueprint and pencil, she was downed too.

The alerts that two teammates were downed that quickly was enough to distract Lucy, who was shooting at Ben's structures to tear them down with an assault rifle. And force her to run to try to get them before their permanent double death was also seen.

Though that also left her open to facing the same fate as them. Luckily for her, the shot missed. The second too. But not the third or fourth, both hitting her in the arm, completely removing her shield as seen by her body emanating blue energy after being hit.

She immediately tried to hide behind a lamppost. It wasn't much, but it was the only cover she had that was near. She quickly built a wall in front of her, but not before getting hit in the arm again, and this time, she actually felt it. Thankfully, the wall was enough to protect her and allow her to quickly wrap her arms with one of the three first aid kits she had on her, healing her.

"If anyone can help us, please let it be in the next few moments or so!" Lanolin said, a twinge of desperation in her voice as the only structure she had time to quickly build before being downed slowly giving out from repeated shots at it. Sure, it was metal, so it could take a lot of punishment, but a lot wasn't impenetrable. And even if their attackers couldn't get through, nothing was stopping them from going around. Or Lanolin and Monta from going out from too much time passing without being picked up. Luckily for them, that wouldn't be the case as they were picked up by Lucy.

"Thanks." Lanolin said to her. "I don't know where the shots came from. It certainly wasn't from Todd, that's for sure."

"Diana?" Lucy said to said person to try to get her attention as they used some of their resources to protect them as they got into a house for better cover, making sure to stay away from windows.

"Youwereable to get them, right?" Diana asked, taking cover as Huey and Penny were firing back at her.

"Yeah. And clearly it wasn't anyone you're against. So it's gotta be Randy and the others."

"You're probably right. And considering how far away it was, at least one of them has a long-range weapon. Probably a sniper." Lanolin said.

"I know. They tried to get me too. And if wasn't for my shield, I'd be done for too."

"Wait, what? Then that must mean all of them have snipers. Not bad of a strategy actually….."

"Why the heck are we talking about opponent strategies when we're getting shot at and we don't know where!?" Monta interrupted her.

"Oh. Right. Sorry."

An explosion was heard above them, with a distress being sent from Diana right after, who was knocked into a back wall.

"Come on, come on! Hurry up!" Todd, revived by Ben at the last second said, reloading the Epic rarity Rocket launcher he found. "You're supposed to be 'epic'. Well that reload wasnotepic!" He said, preparing to shoot another one.

Monta was the first to run and get to her.

"You shouldn't have come in here." She said to him.

"Don't worry, I-"

Another rocket was blasted in the window and hitting a wall on the side of them, the explosion enough to put Diana on her last legs and to leave Monta one small hit away from being downed himself.

"That's why I told you not to come up here! You should have left me! Now there's a chance both of us won't make it!"

After picking her up, she grabs onto her shoulders before saying, "We'll make it!" With a face that showed he truly believed it. Outside the window, more platforms were made as they started to change directions away from them. They weren't going to question it as they immediately started to run downstairs to regroup with their teammates. Monta immediately started to try to heal himself.

While this was happening, Randy and the others were converging in on the house, being forced to due to the storm that seemed to have been enclosing on them faster and faster.

As Randy was about to approach the house, he was pushed out of the way by Kunigami, with the former pushing him back down and immediately running in. But the results were not what he expected them to be. All four Rats shot at him and took him out quickly, causing him to be the first to be eliminated from the game.

"After all that, I didn't expect taking him out to be that…. easy." Diana said, surprised.

"A lot of things seem pretty easy with teamwork, huh?" Lucy said, smiling a little before a grenade rolled in. But the explosion didn't create smoke, hurt, or blind them like they expected it to when trying to move from it. Instead, it only launched them. And in the case of Lanolin, sending her out of the house, and causing her to take fall damage. But the real damage would come from Bakura, with the two engaging in a gunfight.

Bakura was ultimately the winner, eliminating her.

Inside the house, Kunigami slid in, shotgun in hand and downed Diana but was downed himself by Monta and Lucy, until a storm of bullets were shot in the room.

"We can't-" Monta started.

"If we stay here, we die and we lose!" Lucy said. Monta closed his eyes for a second before he reluctantly joined Lucy. And unfortunately, leaving Diana to her fate as the bullets continued to come in.

The source of the bullets being Penny, who was using a minigun. Both Lucy and Monta were able to find a way to flank her. Unfortunately, they were both met by Huey and Ben, who shot at them immediately. Both pairs got into a close quarter gunfight, but the rain of bullets from Penny had stopped and didn't come back. Not because she was reloading, but because she was quietly taken out by Bakura, who was using a pistol equipped with a suppressor.

"HAAAAAAA!" Kaz suddenly yelled out, jumping in between the two groups from a floor above and shot at them with a submachine gun. While he did do some damage, it wasn't enough to even knock anyone out. He was knocked down, then eliminated shortly after. Now only Bakura remains.

The sudden intervention of Kaz forced the two pairs to take cover behind walls to reload and regroup.

"When I go out there, get to the side of them." Monta said.

"I'm not doing that! They'll kill you in seconds!" She replied. "We'll just have to take the ris-"

Someone suddenly busted through the wall behind them.

"Surprise!" Todd exclaimed before firing at them. He was immediately tackled by both, catching him off guard as shown by the look of shock on his face. Once Ben and Huey decided to run in, they were unsure of what to make what they were looking at.

"What the heck are you waiting for? Shoot them!" Todd said, being under Lucy, who was inadvertently sitting on him, with Monta grabbing onto her leg for some reason.

Once everyone realized what was going on, it turned into a chaotic frenzy.

Outside of the game, Weiss cleared her throat at Aomine, who for whatever reason had a rather….. enamored look on his face.

"Care to explain why you've suddenly become more interested in this game?" She asked.

"Relax. I'm sure he's just imagining how he'd dominate if he was in that game." Sly said jokingly.

"Yeah, and you put Weiss in there on t-" Aomine started before he stopped himself, realizing what he was saying out loud and cleared his throat, trying to find some way to make things less awkward as Eliza tried to stifle a laugh. And he was luckily able to catch a break. "What the hell's goin' on?"

"Like I'll let you off the hook with-" Weiss started.

"Yeah. What the heck is going on outside?" Diego said, which caused her to look at what they were talking about.

The storm was closing in on them.

"The Storm! We have to hurry and finish this!" Huey said as he and everyone that was left was taking steady damage from the storm, with Huey healing himself with the last first-aid kit he had in his inventory.

"Trust me, I'd more than like to do that." Todd said, firing at Monta and Lucy, who both dived out of the way to avoid the bullets while also firing back, the former yelling as if he was Rambo, with both Ben and Monta taking each other out. "You think you're gonna get away with putting your big butt in my face!? Think again!"

"That wasn't even on purpose! And besides, I still have to pay you back for what you did. We'll see how funny getting launched off the island next is to you!" She replied as she quickly tried to wrap her arms with the last first-aid kit she had.

"Well, I guess we'll never know because it's never going to happen!"

"We'll see about that!"

All three players, knowing the clock was ticking on their health, jumped out of cover to finish the fight. And somehow, Lucy was able to outlast the both of them, officially eliminating the Kings from the game before she fell to the ground herself.

"I….told you. I'd get you back….." Being the last member of her team, she was automatically KO'd after being downed from the storm damage. The game ended seconds after.

"And that's it! With Lucy leaving last, the game's over!" Chris said as all 12 participants took off the VR gear and got out of the bus.

"You may have won that tiny little battle for a while, but I won the war! Now eat it and beat it kid!" Lucy said to Todd.

"Thanks a lot for losing us the game." Randy said to Kunigami.

"Nothing's decided yet. Don't think you've gotten rid of me that easy." Todd replied to her.

"Did you hit your head or something? I told you to move, and you didn't move!" Kunigami replied, which caused Todd, Lucy and everyone else to turn their heads.

"Yeah, which cost us the game! I was going to go in, and you stopped me, which is how I got killed because I lost the element of surprise!" Randy yelled back.

"No, you got killed because you weren't good enough! That's why I told you to move you dumba[censored]! I had a shotgun!Iwas going to get those kills!"

"Guys, ple-" Julie started before Ayame, surprisingly, was the one to stop her and shake her head.

"That's the problem with you!I, I, I, I! It's always you! Every time you play, you have to do everything! You have to score! You have to get the kill when these areteamgames!You'rethe enemy!" Randy snapped.

"For what, retard!? Trying to win!?" Kunigami replied.

"For trying to winyour way, every honkin' time! We don't all have the answers to everything. And if one of us did, more than likely, they'd be gone by now because of how much of a threat they are. Jotaro's living proof! Look, he's on another team, but even I gotta give him props and point out how honkin' bruce he's been. And then he acts like a total shoob when Toxsa explained the invincibility frames to him. No offense man."

"It's fine." Jotaro said, in a way that said he didn't really care too much about Randy's comments towards him.

"Because your way was able to help us win. It didn't!" Kunigami yelled.

"It would have, if you-" Randy replied before Kunigami cut him off.

"If what? What-ifs don't mean anything other than giving a way for you to be foolishly stuck in the past!"

"So, what do you think would have happened if you would have been able to go in like how you wanted to?"

"Like I said, it doesn't matter now. We lost."

"No. I'm not letting this go until you give me a straight-up answer." Randy said.

"Why? What good will that do to change anything?"

"I don't know. Not unless we try. But I guess you're not willing to do that. The second someone calls you out on something and you can't shut it down quick, you suddenly want to be 'left alone'. Well not this time. I'm not 'leaving you alone'."

"Every time I make a decision in one of these challenges. It's to win. It's that simple. That should tell you everything."

"Like you're so different than all of the other 90 people here. Dude, this is ten million dollars. You think I don't want to win that? You know how many games I could buy with that? That's so much money, I don't even know if my parents would know what to do with it. Heck, even I wouldn't! We're all trying to win. Even if it might not seem like it to you. Chris said as footage was shown of him, staying away from the battle. Sure, he was taking storm damage, but he was counteracting it by healing himself when necessary.

"Wait, that means we won!?" Kaz said in disbelief.

"Yes. Yes you did."

"Then, this is definitely the right time for me to say this. Look Randy, I get where you're coming from. But, when I was with him, he tried to get me to be quiet. I thought the worst too. Maybe not the exact same situation, but when I wouldn't be quiet, that's how we both got hit by Lanolin, Monta and Lucy. Luckily, we got to cover and wasn't killed. He could have easily left me, but he didn't. Who knows? If we would have died earlier, or he left me, we might not have been able to last long enough to win, andwe'dbe the ones in last place. I'm not forgiving him of all of the other stuff he's done, but when he says he's trying to win, I genuinely think he means it."

"Then, I guess he wasn't the enemy. Beware the enemy that wears the mask of an ally….." Randy said, thinking aloud.

Randy thought as Chris announced to the Kings that they would have to send someone home. He then put his hands on his face before bringing them down. "I did all of that, and it was me all along. If it wasn't for Bakura, I would have been the reason we lost. Great. Now I gotta apologize? Ughhhhhhh."

"Hey, Kunigami." Randy said, trying to get his attention as the teams were starting to disperse.

"What now?" He asked, starting to get annoyed.

"Look, I admit that-" Randy started before Kunigami started to walk away. "Hey! I'm trying to make things at least a little better and you're just walking away? Who does that!?"

"You can save it. I don't want to hear it. I've already moved past it. We won, end of story."

The Remnant five already had their things brought to the front by the time Todd finished his confessional. Weiss and Aomine were seen hugging each other before it turned into one final kiss. Octavia and Blake were hugging and so was Ruby and Penny.

"I'm really,really sorry. I ruined this second opportunity for you all." Penny said. "If I could excrete tears from my eyes, I most certainly would. My chest. It…. is in so much pain. And I don't know why. Now I regret tagging along with you all."

"Oh Penny. It's not your fault. You did your best. You picked up Todd when no one else was able to." Ruby said, trying to prevent herself from crying, but failed.

"Yeah. Seeing Ruby and Penny sad like that makes you feel that way." Yang said. "I'm not gonna lie, I would have been mad if I got eliminated at any other point. But this early? No, this…." She whispers low "P*ssesme off."

"The rest of you are safe. For now." Chris said before turning towards the audience. "And with that, the remnants of team RWBY are instantly extinguished!"

"Will you ever stop with those?" Heloise asked.

"Maybe, maybe not. And maybe you'll find out on the next episode of Total….Drama…Across the Multiverse!"

A/N: And Team RWBY are the next ones to have their hopes of 10 mil. crushed. Who's gonna be next to join them, I wonder. I do know that it'll be two more as the next chapter will be double elimination.

Very excited to write these next two chapters. They may be on the longer side, but I kinda already seen that coming when coming up with thinking of these as challenges.

The MK challenge will focus on more than just MK games however. As stated before, you might see well-known games like Street Fighter and Smash, some older classics like TMNT Tournament Fighters, or even some lesser talked about, obscure and/or niche fighters like Transformers Beast Wars: Transmetals, Bushido Blade, Killer Instinct(at least in terms of TD fics in this case), and more!
