19. Chapter 19

Chapter 19: The Last Ancient Priestess. The Curse of Baal and the Twisted Wish!

Moment prior when the battle is still ongoing.

Kohinata Miku looked at the sun through the window, she then let out a small sigh. The girl known right now, her friend, Tachibana Hibiki is fighting. While she known Hibiki have reliable people like Tsubasa, Eiji and eh...Ankh count as well she suppose. It didn't stop the dark haired girl from feeling worry, not to mention a bit frustrated. It never a comfortable feeling, to be sitting back and know your love one is fighting and you can't do anything to help. Really, it gotten so bad that Kohinata half wonder if she should volunteer to the 2nd Division to see if she can use these Relic. From what her friend told her, it need one to be able to sync with it. The requirement is that you must be a girl and be able to sing the song that match the Relic. Well, Miku sure she got the girl part down already, as for singing, the girl won't brag but she did pretty well in music class! So, no problem right?

Alright! It time for Kohinata Miku's debut as the next Symphogear User!

"...Obviously that won't be possible." Miku sighed.

While she loath this feeling of helplessness, that doesn't mean the girl gonna start to lose grip on reality okay? Obviously she understand for something so secretive and treated as government top priority is not gonna get pass out like candy. Plus, Hibiki already told her right now all the Relic that can become Symphogears all have users which include the cream haired girl herself, Tsubasa and Yukine Chris. And what are the odds that a next priceless Relic is found and her name happen to be on top of the list of candidate because she is friend with the Gear Users?

Wait maybe that is possible?...Though is that nepotism?

"Ah, enough already Miku. If you have time to daydream like this, focus on preparing study sheet to help Hibiki-chan when she come back!" Miku reprimanding herself as she give light slaps on both of her cheek.

Random thoughts like this have been popping up from times to times ever since Miku learnt of the dangerous and complicated world Hibiki got dragged into. But the girl hasn't talk to her cream haired friend about this yet. Not that she think the cream haired girl won't understand, far from it, Hibiki known better than anyone how frustrating it is to unable to help. She just simply don't want to add her own insecurity to Hibiki's growing plate of problem she already have to deal with, that would just amplify her feeling of powerless. Thus, with her mind calmed down again, the girl continue to browse through the list of books needed for tonight study in the library.

Then in a corner of her eyes, Kohinata caught a sight of something unusual. As she turn toward it, she saw a thick column of black smoke rising up to the sky. Just when Miku worried if a fire happened she saw something a second later that make her quickly rectify said thought, it would have been better if it is a simple fire. Because despite being quite a distance away, given her high position and the large scale of the scene, the black haired girl instantly make out sign of the building collapsed. No, it more precise to said it have been reduced to ashes. Then flowing out from it are horde of Noises that slowly make their way to the school direction. Of course, Miku wasn't the only one who noticed the commotion.

"AHHHH!"

"NOISES! RUN!"

Miku wasn't among the people who screamed, she managed to keep her calm. Yet even then there is only so much composure the girl can maintain against the monsters that have been considered unstoppable, such was the normal perspective she and most people in this world have develop against the Noises, sure learning of the Symphogear have changed said perspective somewhat. But the crux of the matter is, this simply mean Kohinata Miku known of people who can fought against the Noises and destroy them. It doesn't mean the girl herself can do anything about the Noises, no it simply unthinkable.

"T...the nearest shelter." Miku stammered, the girl quickly followed the running mass and make her way to the emergency exit. While she running, the girl pushed her fear down and her rational come back, the girl instantly reminded of a simple obvious solution. She quickly took out her phone and looked for the right number. "Hibiki, everyone, please answer."

The girl prayed as she wait for the line to ring, one can't describe the immense relief she feel when she heard her friend's excited voice. Even if none of them are here yet, even if it seems they aren't aware of the danger here yet, Miku already feel like hope is coming and everything will be fine.

"C...calm down, I gotta said it!" Miku thought frantically.

"Hibiki! H-Help please! The school...The Noises are here! It is everywhere!" Miku managed to yell out the desperate cry for help.

Right at that moment, someone bumped into her due to the confusion making her drop the phone. Unable to get it back from the stampede of panicked student and school staff, Miku have no choice but to keep running.

"She heard it, Hibiki-chan must have heard me! I known it!"

That was what the black haired girl believe as she continue to push forward.

Cover Image: Fine, clad in her priest outfit, can be seen standing on the top of a ruined altar. She is spreading out her arms as the sun shine on the woman who have a dazed smile. In front of her are Kamen Rider OOO in Tatoba Combo, Tachibana Hibiki in Gungnir, Kazanari Tsubasa in Ame no Habakiri and Yukine Chris in Ichaival. All of them are surrounded by massive armies of Trash Yummy and Noises of various size.

"Hello? Miku-chan! Can you hear me!?" Tachibana Hibiki shouted frantically to the phone. Of course the only response she got is the background noises of panicked mass and running footsteps, then the line got disconnected. The girl then turned her fearful gaze to the other. "Everyone, please!"

"Understood, follow me." Kazanari Tsubasa responded.

The girl quickly dashed to her bike with Hibiki followed along.

"Damn, a diversion?" Ankh frowned.

The Greeed sprouted out his rainbow wings and take to the sky.

"The 2ndDivision." Hino Eiji muttered in realization.

He quickly make his way to his bike, the man let out a few short breaths but he pushed the exhaustion away. As he climbed to his bike, he feel another person climbed onto the backseat with him.

"Just hurry." Yukine Chris said with a deep frown.

The man nodded back, with that all of them make their way to the school as fast as possible.

At the 2nd Division, alarms are buzzing, high tension rising in the air right now. Understandable, given that this moment the enemies are right at their doorsteps.

"Make sure all the nearby citizens are escorted to the shelter! I want a full feed of what is happening outside right now!" Kazanari Genjuro barked out his order with a composed and hardened expression.

"Commander, the Noises are heading straight at our base. As expected this isn't a random attack." Fujitaka Sakuya said nervously.

"They are aiming to take the Relic, or do they simply want to destroy their biggest obstacle, the 2nd Division? Probably both." Tomosato Aoi said, trying to analyze the situation to calm herself down.

Can't be helped, these two real strength are with the data and behind the scene. To have real battle come knocking on their doorsteps of course they will feel shaken, they don't have any special armors or Relics to rely on, not even crazy strength like their Commander.

"Indeed, with all of our supposed main fighting forces out of the way. Now is a best time at any to strike the king piece. A simple yet effective Luring Tiger out of Mountain strategy." Genjuro said, nodding approvingly.

It as if he isn't the one on the receiving end of said tactics. However, this actually make both Sakuya and Aoi have a blooming sense of hope. They know their Commander too well, in moment like this is when his quality as a leader shine. For him to be so at ease...

"Commander, everything seems to be in place now." Ogawa Shinji commented.

"Uhm." Genjuro nodded. "Since our friend have go through the trouble of orchestrating such a grand play, the least we can do is reciprocate appropriately." He said with a smile. "All the staffs, keep surveying the situation, we are the 2nd Division! Between us and the Noises, it is the latter who would be the prey!" Genjuro exclaimed with strength and conviction in his voice.

The 2nd Division staffs despite feeling startled and nervous, in the end they are still an special organization build to defend humanity. All the staffs were not picked haphazardly, hence there were no real chaos among the ranks. And Kazanari's words only serve to boost their morale even more, seeing a satisfying result, the red haired man nodded approvingly. He then turn toward the door and leave the post, finally, he can let loose. And here he think being the Commander's post he won't have a chance to be on the battlefield frequently, yet here it is during the crucial moment he get a chance to take the main stage.

"Really...I have my friend to thanks for it." Genjuro thought, clenching both his jaw and fists.

By this time, the Noises have make it way to the school area. The evacuation process is going as fast as possible thanks to the 2nd Division's effort, but that doesn't mean there are no casualty. Unfortunately there are still those who got caught up by the Noises and ended up as ash under their touch, those who saw this began to panic. This of course only make the situation more hectic, people pushing to each other and some even got pushed to the ground during confusion. Among all of them, Miku is one of the rare few who stop and help those people got up before continue running. Currently the girl is trying to get down to the bottom floor by using the stairs, just then she saw another person, this time is a girl younger than her who on the ground holding her ankle in pain.

"Are you okay?" Miku asked.

She quickly ran to the girl and checked her foot, as she expected, the girl's ankle is swollen.

"I...I got pushed by some other people, the fall twisted my foot." The girl said, crying fearfully.

She understand in this condition, if she can't run then she is as good as dead.

"Hold on to me." Miku said resolutely.

Without wasting a second, she grabbed onto the girl, who nervously saying words of gratitude. After all, no one could have blamed Kohinata if she ran away by herself. Really, the black haired girl blame her friend, she must have been infected by Hibiki to do something so crazy. But...

"Is this how you feel Hibiki-chan...to be able to help other like this." Miku thought.

Just as the pair are making their way to escape, a shout caught their attention.

"Ayane! Thank God we found you!"

A couple of students, no doubt friend with the girl Miku is helping, ran to them with a happy expression. Kohinata have a relieved expression, knowing this can help them get to safety faster. However, at this moment, the building rumbled. At this point, the Noises are already close and the destruction they are causing already effecting the structure of the place. Just then, the black haired girl saw the ceiling and see crack forming.

"Careful!" Miku exclaimed.

Acting out of instinct, Kohinata push the other girl out of harm way. This also pushed Miku back thus both of them managed to avoid the collapsed debris in time, however while this send the other girl to her friends and continue to the escape, Kohinata is less fortunate and now stuck on the side where it is harder to get to the exit.

"Ah, well done Miku, you could have try and leap forward with the girl as well." Miiku thought in self abolish, her face has a surreal smile.

From outside perspective, this is just the aftermath talking. In reality, for someone like Miku who never went through any training to make such a quick decision right then and there, it already a job well done that she managed to protect herself and the other person in such instance. Not to mention after helping the girl walk, Kohinata realized a troublesome fact. Ayane is quite a heavy girl, no offense to a fellow girl's weight. But something tell Miku she wouldn't have been able to throw both herself and the other girl over in time.

Still, it not the worst, the girl try to encourage herself. It a detour but if she run quick then the girl can still make it to a shelter in time, Miku known it!

"Miku-chan, what are you still doing here?" An urgent voice asked.

Kohinata quickly turned toward the source, this voice, it gotta be...

"Ogawa-san?" Miku said in relief.

The two ran to each other, already Shinji is taking a quick look around to make sure no dangers are present before he address the young girl.

"You need to get out of here quick, it dangerous here." Shinji said.

"I known, the Noises." Miku replied.

Really, she didn't want to sound sarcastic. She truly mean it, it hard to miss the destruction those monsters cause whenever they appear nearby. However, it seems Kohinata did indeed miss what Ogawa try to said.

"If only that is all..." Shinji said in grimace.

"Eh?...What are you trying to said, Ogawa-san?" Miku ask nervously.

The girl has a sharp mind, already she can tell there is something more going on.

"It not important right now, Miku-chan you should understand what is the priority right?" Shinji asked kindly.

Of course, it might sound blunt but that just the older male way of showing concern for a 'civilian' like her. Miku understand her own situation very well, even if she known the detail there isn't much she can do. For a normal person like her she already knowing too much already, it could get her to trouble in lots of way. Not to mention, right now for someone like Miku who has no mean of defending herself, her goal shouldn't have changed. To find a way to get to shelter quickly and stay safe. Thus, the girl nodded quietly.

With a soft sigh, Shinji nodded back, just when he is about to escort the girl however, the building shook once again. This time the impact is more violent, looking out of the window, the 2nd Division member is shocked to find the Noises already here, destroying the building by touching it.

"They are here faster than we expected." Shinji murmured with a grim expression. The man's mind quickly went to work, in few seconds he come to a quick decision, it not ideal but it the best one right now given their situation. "Miku-chan, sorry but change of plan, it best you stick close to me right now! You won't be able to make it to the shelter."

And there is something keeping the ninja from safely escorting her there, that is a the unsaid message that Kohinata received from what she heard.

"U...understood. I will follow your lead, Ogawa-san." Miku said, trying to keep her calm.

The girl understand being nervous won't help and the last thing she do is become a burden that distract Shinji.

"My thanks." Shinji said, nodding gratefully with a serious expression. "I will keep you safe for sure, both for you and for Hibiki-chan." The man vowed.

With that the duo quickly make their way to the elevator, usually this is the last thing one want to use in this situation. However, Miku know this elevator serve another important purpose for those who have the authority for it hidden function, it is the access point to the 2nd Division secret base.

As they make their way to the elevator, Ogawa quickly pressed the floor they heading to. With that a few seconds of silence occurred as the elevator moved, before Miku once amaze at how fast the elevator move without disturbing the passenger, but this time the ride feel so long to her stressful mind. As the ding sound can be heard, the elevator door opened to the 2nd Division hallway. Miku have a relieved expression, however, before she can take a step...

BOOM!

Just as they walk out, another explosion can be heard follow by a rumble. Ogawa quickly help Kohinata steady so she doesn't fall down, the sound and the shaking told them that the explosions come from the same floor, not faraway from where they are.

"They already here." Shinji said with a grimace, he then turn to the young girl. "Please, stay close to me, it about to get very dangerous." He said.

Miku only response is a nervous nod, finding it a bit hard to speak. The man then focus his sight on the direction where the explosions come from, then slowly a sound can be heard. In fact, it repeated itself in an organized rhythm. Miku and Shinji quickly recognize it as a sound of a heel tap on the hard floor, already the former have a bewildered expression. She is expecting a slithering form of a crawling Noises, not a sound signaling another person. Just when she wondering could it be another 2nd Division staff, the person come to view and...

Well Miku sure she hasn't seen this person before or she would have definitely remembered her. Round soft face with smooth white skin, long blond hair cascade down the back of her waist. A tall beautiful woman presented herself in front of the two, then there is the garment she is wearing. All Miku can said is that it look like what she seen Hibiki and the other wear, yes it remind her of a Relic Gear, except more...revealing. With crystal spikes adorned throughout the entire thing. While the black haired girl is showing a bewildered expression, Ogawa have a grim expression. After all, unlike her, he instantly recognized the Nehustan Relic the blond haired woman is wearing.

"We finally meet face to face eh? Fine-san." Shinji said with a forced smile.

"Hm." A soft hum is the only response.

Without anything else need to be said the woman simply continue walking toward them, as if the two person in front of her are nothing but air. For Kohinata, the girl is too nervous to make any movement, but for Ogawa he already has a course of actions in mind. All Miku saw is his hands move like a blur from his back to the front and then...

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Eek!" Miku yelped in surprise.

Right in front of her, in a swift movement that was too fast for the girl to comprehend until the deed is done, the man pulled out the handgun in the holster hidden behind his back and pointed it toward the blond haired woman. Without hesitation he unloaded the entire chambers at her, yet blood didn't spurt like Miku nervously expected. Instead, she can clearly see the bullets stuck on the woman's skin. After a second, they eventually fallen off her, showing a slight dent in her skin but that too also quickly fade away. If Kohinata didn't know any better, it look more like when someone use their finger to playfully poke your skin, rather than a sign that a bullet just hit your flesh.

"You really think that's gonna work?" Fine finally spoke, her tone sound more amuse than annoyed.

"One wouldn't know until one try right?" Shinji responded with a daring smile.

"True, trial and error is part of humanity's evolution...however." Fine said, her eyes suddenly narrowed to a dangerous glint. "Time and places are an important factor as well, in other words, at least know when you are outclassed, child."

With that the woman waved her hand, as if on command, one of the chain hanged on her shoulder come to live and dart toward Shinji and Miku. The latter didn't even have a time to register the act, but the former already make his move. Instantly he picked up Miku bridal style and weaved out of the way, watching the sharp chain soar past them, cutting through the air.

"Quite fast on your foot aren't you, little mouse?" Fine asked sarcastically.

Her finger twitched, the chain also change direction, making a turnaround and shot toward the other two person again. Shinji grimaced, being an honest to God ninja in this day and age, the man possess almost superhuman level mobility. However, even he can't make light of an attack from a Relic, especially when he has to carry another person with him meaning the pressure is doubled. It not just the fact whether he can avoid a Relic attack anymore, which is already a feat, but also can he do it while protecting Miku, a non combatant, safety as well.

"The answer is obvious, even if something happen to me, she must be safe!" Shinji thought.

It his duty as a 2nd Division's agent and also as someone who have to always watch those like Hibiki fight without able to help, this is the least he can do!

On the other hand, Kohinata herself also realize the predicament the older male is in because of her, looking up at his focused expression the girl has a scared but resolute expression.

"O...Ogawa-san, please if it too much trouble just let me down, I can find a place to hide myself." Miku said shakily.

That's a lie, both of them know that, with the way things going if Shinji really leave Miku by herself then no doubt Fine's chain would skewer her instantly.

"Hahah, don't worry. I may not look it but I am a ninja you know?" Shinji said with an easing smile despite the sweat pooling down his temple. "This is nothing for me." He said.

"What a responsible adult." Fine said, nodding approvingly. "Then, this too should be piece of cake right?"

This time, the chain didn't simply shot forth, rather it entangled them in a web formation slowly closing in. No doubt if Shinji by himself he can find a way to barely escape but with Miku in his hand, it seems certain they both will become mince meat in the next few second. Seeing this, the dark haired girl can't help but closed her eyes.

"Hibiki!" Miku thought, as if saying a final farewell.

"Don't worry..." Shinji said, letting out a sigh of relief. "Miku-chan, you know why I shot at that woman just now?" He asked.

"Eh...I mean, she's the enemy right?" Miku asked unsure.

"Yes that too, but at the same time." Shinji said, staring right at Fine in the eyes, his smile polite yet relieved. "It also work very well as a signal."

The blond haired woman widened her eyes, instantly she leaped back.

BOOM!

Right at that moment, the above ceiling where Fine stood just second ago collapsed down onto the spot. Following it is a figure covered by the smoke and debris jumping down from the hole, the landing impact release a powerful shockwave dispersing the smoke. This allow Miku, Shinji and Fine see the figure clearly. It is none other than the Commander of the 2nd Division, Kazanari Genjuro himself. The man have a serious expression, his body surrounded by a powerful aura that those like Shinji and Fine can sense clearly, while for a normal person like Miku, all girl can feel is the air suddenly become heavy the moment the man appeared. It like a natural instinct one have when facing a dangerous creature like a bear or a crocodile, despite this, the black haired girl know this person in front of her is here to save them!

"Thank God, look like I make it in time." Genjuro said, glancing behind his back, looking at Shinji and a cowering Miku. "It would really destroy any little pride I have left as an adult if I failed to protect anyone again." He said, clenching his fist as he turn his gaze forward, locking eyes with a blond haired woman. "It seems I finally managed to get something right, isn't? Fine. Or do you rather I call you the way I have always called you before?"

Despite how calm his words are, it sound like resounding thunder in Fine's ears. Her expression twitched for a millisecond before quickly returning to normal, instead the woman just sighed.

"My, my. To make a woman feel like a dancing clown is quite ungentlemanly you know? If my performance was that bad, you could have just outright criticized me earlier, Genjuro-kun." Fine said, crossing her arms and cocking her head to the side with a teasing smile.

That manner of speech, that movement, it clearly show that Fine isn't even trying to deny what Genjuro is accusing of anymore. Instead, she outright admitted without any resistance. While Miku doesn't understand what's going on, she can tell there is more to the conversation, base on what they saying...

"Uhm...do...Kazanari-san know that person?" Miku asked in confusion.

"Yeah...not just Commander...we all do. She's used to be someone we thought we know." Shinji said with a melancholy tone.

"No, you got us all good. I didn't figure it out until recently and only now have it all been confirmed to me. Really was hoping I am wrong till the last minute, Ryoko-kun." Genjuro said, letting out a small exhale.

"Hm, you would have no doubt reach even higher height than where you already are if you can fix that bad habit of yours. Is not good to let your expectation hinder your progress, rather it should be the motivation of your actions." Fine, Sakurai Ryoko said in a admonishing manner.

"Learning from you as an example?" Genjuro asked with a chuckle.

"Exactly." Fine admitted with a proud smile, not missing a beat.

"Then, is it all worth it?" Genjuro asked, his tone even.

Without missing a beat, not even a second of hesitation the woman expression hardened. It is the most powerful gaze Genjuro has seen from his 'friend', the intensity is almost unmatched by anyone the red haired man have seen before, perhaps even more than that man who he called father...

"More than you can ever imagine." Fine said with a determined voice.

No perhaps calling it determined is already doing it injustice, it is as if one is stating their basic reason to live, simple as that. Seeing this, Kazanari known there is no other way out of this, whatever he wanted to said is thrown out of the window the moment he see her expression. The man begrudgingly admit to himself, that's an expression of someone who wouldn't even care about their own life for whatever they are doing.

"I see." With that, Genjuro get into a stance. "In that case, I will have to rough you up a bit then. After that, you can properly reflect on your actions!" He declared, with powerful aura enveloping him.

It is a pressure that make one hard to imagine come from a 'normal' person, but then again anyone who have work in 2ndDivision long enough or have encounter with Kazanari Genjurou know this man can't be described with that words. Naturally, that included Fine herself.

"As expected of a man who reached the peak in the realm of martial arts, really between the two of us I wonder who is the real monster." Fine said with a sigh, feeling the pressure pushing against her, her expression shifted back to her usual jovial one. "At this rate, I might have to file a complaint about bad treatment from superior~." She said, getting into a stance herself.

"Hah! This come from the same employee who cause property damage to said company!?" Genjuro barked out a laugh.

The man shot forth like a bullet, his speed is hard to grasp even for someone enhanced by a Relic like Fine. The blond haired woman barely have time to swirl the chains in front of her in a circular motion, this formed a makeshift shield that blocked a punch from Kazanari. Even then, the resulted powerful impact pushed Fine back for dozen feet.

"Urgh, I expected this but your bull headed strength still as ridiculous as ever." Fine said, shaking her hand with an annoyed expression.

Truth to be told, if she didn't know any better, Fine wouldn't even consider a normal human a threat. Someone who can't put on a Relic can't hope to match a Gear Users, that is how thing naturally go. But Genjuro as stated, he isn't someone who play by this rule. She would have been blind to not be aware of his borderline superhuman level of strength after many years knowing the man, before and after her 'awakening', hence Fine didn't dare to drop her guard for even a second. If anything, taking Genjuro into account, Fine have been even more serious in her attempt to invade the 2nd Division. True, she has a trump card hidden but nothing wrong with being prepared especially since she is at the last step of her plan now after so long!

"Hoh?" Genjuro quirked an eyebrow. In front of him, Fine settled into a stance, no longer did it seems she taking thing leisurely like before. In fact, Kazanari would grade her posture to be perfect. Easily have an air of a master. "Hah, seems we really needed more coworker bonding time after all. Here I thought you were the type to said no to even a light jog." He said shaking his head.

"Oh believe me I do consider exercise my worst enemy." Fine said with a smile. "Then again, a lady got to be willing to push herself to keep a perfect body, no? It just so happen I do got tons of martial arts knowledge stored in my head as well. From the time they were invented till they were perfected by humanity." She said, her smile now contain an edge in it.

Hearing this, the red haired man has a slight frown analyzing the woman's words.

"Fine...you...!?"

Genjuro has to cut his thought short, because this time Fine take the initiative. The blond haired woman dash forth toward her opponent, she went for a straight jab, though when the red haired man also throw a fist to counter her the straight jab fluidly changed into an arm grab. Then, Fine latched her other arm on as well. With a twist of her body, Fine pulled Genjuro to a straight throw. The man widened his eyes for a moment, for a simple move, Fine have executed it perfectly to the point of being able to thrown him off momentarily. However, he wouldn't be Kazanari Genjuro if that was all it take to make him fall down. In midair the man still manage to twist his body and right himself, Genjuro then landed on his feet. Then, he quickly go for a backhanded swing at Fine.

A light frown appeared on Fine's face. Quickly pulling out her chain, the blond haired woman use it to block the swing and also use the chance to wrap it around the offending limb. The red haired man didn't bulge despite feeling the sharp weapon dug into his skin, Even with the dense aura he engulfed his body with it still can't ignore a Relic's sharpness. As the same time, with her hand in a claws form, Fine aimed at her opponent's neck. In retaliate, Genjuro release a shout, his body erupted in blast of ki untangling the chain from his arm. As the same time, Fine crossed her arms, relying on the Relic to defend herself against the attack. The woman also quickly back stepped to escape the zero point effect, further decreasing the damage radius. With the two gained a distance again, Kazanari didn't rush in for an attack. Instead, the man massaged the spot where the chain wrapped around his arm, small bruise can be seen on the spot but that's about it.

"Really, I thought the Noises would be my biggest concern. My apology, I really underestimated you." Genjuro said.

"Hah, well said for a monster." Fine said with a sigh, caressing her chain. "To use one bare limb and endure the chain from Nehustan, really if you have been able to effect the Noises we might not even need the Symphogear."

"I will take that as a compliment." Genjuro said with a complicated expression. "But you are also quite terrifying yourself. Jujitsu, Judo and Pankration of all thing as well, many martial arts are blended in your fighting style. But that's not all, it not just a matter of throwing them together, you have actually mastered each of them individually already. As if you have lived a lifetime to hone each of those techniques, I have to admit if we ignoring the difference in our Chi, then you got me beat in techniques. Really just how old are you exactly, Ryoko-kun?" He asked with a deep frown.

"Ah, ah, ah." Fine make a disapproving noises, waving her index finger in a chastise manner. "At this age and you still make such a basic mistake? No wonder you can only spend your times alone watching actions movies, asking a lady her age is a big no no you know?" She said, putting a finger to her lips.

On the side, trying to keep themselves quiet till now to not cause any distraction, both Shinji and Miku watched the fight with varied expressions. While they both paid complete focus on it, the two have different thoughts. Naturally as someone part of the incredible side of the world himself, Shinji isn't a stranger to what his Commander can do, he focused on their exchange of blow and watch in anticipation and is relieved that Genjuro is still in control of the fight. Though admittedly, Shinji was shocked at the notion someone like Ryoko, no it should be Fine now, can hold her own so well against the red haired man. As for Miku, being a normal person, she lack such insight. All she can acknowledge is how surreal what she seeing is, in a way the girl has forced her mind to accept the fact of mystic armor that allow one to do incredible feats like the Relic and Core Medals. It kind of like those anime that Yumi show her from times to times. Of course, seeing it with her own eyes is still a whole different matter.

And then there is the red haired man, Kazanari Genjuro. He is a whole different level of unbelievable, the girl can't fathom another human being without any special equipment causing this level of damage and go toe to toe with magic armor, Hibiki's words not her, that allow one to become superhuman. It make the black haired girl can't help but wonder, by definition who is less like a normal human between these two? Of course, it just a thought that just demonstrate the girl's awestruck state with no disrespect whatsoever toward the red haired man.

"I want to stay and fight alongside the Commander, but that is only after I ensured Miku-chan's safety." Shinji thought with bead of sweat going down his forehead.

"Miku-chan." Shinji whispered.

Seeing the man gesturing her to the other side of the hallway, the black haired girl understood his intention. However...

"Oyah? Come now the show not yet finish, why leaving so soon?" Fine called out.

Hearing this, both Ogawa and Kohinata feel a chill run down their back. They didn't think during the heated clash the woman would still remember them two 'side characters'. However, Fine also understand the same point that the ninja have, right now both of them here are a burden to Genjuro. Naturally, she wouldn't want them to leave just like that. With a movement of her wrist, a sound of whooshing wind can be heard, then before Miku realize it the board back of Kazanari Genjuro is already in front of her and Shinji. The sound of explosion can be heard, follow by dusts and debris. The red haired man have his fist outstretched, having just obliterate the boulder that Fine fling at the two behind him using her chain.

"Fine!" Genjuro raised his voice in anger.

"And that right there is another adorable weakness of your." Fine said coldly.

The woman lift up her other hand, showing the Solomon's Cane. Instantly, the alarming thought that she want to use the Noises flashed through the mind of both Ogawa and Kazanari. Without prior agreement, they both simultaneously moved. The former throwing multiple kunai while the latter kick up a piece of boulder and launched it, of course, both of their target is Fine. She who is no stranger to the Shadow's Weave technique that Tsubasa learnt from Shinji, naturally didn't dare to ignore the small knifes. With a swirl of her wrist, the chain act as a wave that knocked them out of the way while also cut the boulder throwed at her to pieces. Fine successfully deflected the projectiles but the other side also succeed in stopping her action in summoning the Noises, without a moment wasted, Genjuro dash toward Fine with his fist clad in dense aura brought up.

"Now this is a rare sight."

A chilling voice resounding throughout the hall way.

"?!"

Instantly both Genjuro and Shinji feel their heart rate spike when they feel a dense wave of energy wash over them. Despite this, Kazanari known his chance is now! So without second thought, he continue his attack. His fist unleashed, bringing with it the powerful Ki force that Genjuro have accumulated, intending to take out Fine right here and now!

BAM!

Shockwave blast outward, making Miku stumbled. Thankfully she is caught by Shinji, but he also struggling to stand himself. Meanwhile, Genjuro gritted his teeth as he look forward and see his fist caught in a smoking palm. To be more precise it is a palm clad in gauntlet, one that he saw a few times through the monitor but the red haired man still remember clearly. Standing between him and Fine is none other than the Rider Greeed, Poseidon himself. It looked at its palm that is stopping the red haired man punch, despite its armored form one can tell an intrigued poise it have.

"Hm...no Rider armor, no so called Relic and yet...oi, what are you exactly?" Poseidon asked with excitement.

In response, the red haired man gritted his teeth, showing a toothed grin.

"Haha, just a man who really love action movies and fighting for world's peace!" Genjuro exclaimed.

At the same time, Kazanari bring up his left knee for a strike aiming at Poseidon's temple. The Greeed chuckled, using the same hand that is holding back Genjuro's punch, it shifted its arm so the elbow would block the strike in time. Then not waiting for the red haired man to react, Poseidon flung him away like a ragdoll. Genjuro quickly righted himself mid air and landed on the ground with steady feet, even then his expression show no smile, after all the brief exchange have remind him again how monstrous the existence in front of him was. Frankly speaking not counting the Noises with their unique property making it impossible for him to fight, Genjuro haven't seen an opponent that make him think, unbeatable.

Be it the Symphogear Users, be it the strange monster called Yummy. Even those like Hino Eiji, who is OOO, and Ankh who regained his Greeed's abilities. In the back of his mind, Genjuro have regarded all of them as powerful, but not something he wouldn't dare to challenge if push come to shove. Yet right now, in front of him, Poseidon's strength really surpass all of them.

"This...might really be a bad idea."

Frankly speaking, when Genjuro decided to purposefully scatter the fighting forces they have to lure in Fine, he has anticipated Poseidon's intervention. But for once, his plan fall short, the reason is none other than the fact that the red haired man commit one of the rookie mistake, he overestimated himself. Really Genjuro feel ashamed just thinking about it, as a leader how could he have committed such a basic blunder? Though from outside perspective one do have to understand, Genjuro did have reason to be confident in his ability. Among all the powerful beings that Genjuro have thought of, he really could have defeated any of them. From those he personally taught like Hibiki and Tsubasa, to the monster known as Yummy. Even the Rider and Ankh, granted perhaps against the later two victory isn't guarantee but it could very well still happen.

That just show how monstrous of a strength the man Kazanari Genjuro's possess, in this world he one of the few that is already breaking free from the shackle that is human's limit and approaching superhuman domain. Couple with the fact he has other reliable aid like the 2ndDivision forces and someone like Shinji, well Kazanari have reason to be confident.

The problem is, out of all the scenario, Genjuro have actually manage to encounter another such impossible beings. Worse, said being dwell on a much higher level than he is.

And that is something those like Fine and Poseidon have recognized as well.

"You didn't tell me you have such a fun coworker, I am almost intrigue to see what happen if this man push himself further, can he get even stronger?" Poseidon said with a pleasant hum.

"Hm, I don't, he already a headache enough." Fine said with a shrug. "Beside, he isn't your main course right? I know you don't have a patient to wait that long anyway." She said with a close eyed smile.

"Hm, always act like you know me." Poseidon said with a grunt. "Though your lucky guess hit the mark, I am already itching enough. Oi, don't die so soon eh?"

The Greeed said, looking at Kazanari.

The Commander shift his sight at Ogawa and Kohinata behind him, if before with Fine them getting out of here already hard enough then with Poseidon here now such action might be suicidal. Seeing his boss's glance, Shinji nodded in understanding. Right now all he can do is be on guard and make sure he and the young girl next to him can watch themselves, that's the best way to help the Commander. Thankfully, Genjuro have a feeling with how he is right now Poseidon is more focus on him rather than the two 'sheep' behind him.

"Don't worry, I still have many action movies I want to watch." Genjuro replied with a focused expression. "If anything, I would be happy to help Eiji-kun alleviate a problem such as you."

With that the man get back into a battle stance, the aura around him intensify to a level much more stronger than when he faced Fine. As of right now, this is the Commander pushing himself to the brink backed by a pressure of a powerful, if not strongest, opponent he has face in his life.

"Hah! I will give you this, among all those I have faced, to meet me in battle with not a piece of weapon in hand? You are the first one, Kazanari Genjuro. " Poseidon said with a hearty laugh, he then toss his Deepest Harpoon, said toss make the weapon stabbed through the wall of the hallway like butter. The Greeed then look at his now empty hands, clenching its to fists a few times. "Hm, yes this isn't bad as well. Now, come." The Greeed Rider said, getting into a battle stance itself.

Wielding its Harpoon in battle is a treat but this too prove to be fun in its own way, it bring a sense of giddy to the Greeed like a kid finding a new game to play.

"Heh, challenge accepted." Genjuro shot back.

With that the man become a blur, with speed surpassing all that he displayed prior, the red haired man closed the distance between him and the Greeed Rider instantly. In response, the aquatic themed Rider Greeed also bring up his fist and charge forth. Mad laughter mixed with battle cry as an explosive sound occurred when both fists clashed. Both Miku and Shinji have to shield their eyes from the pressure while Fine looked on with a blank gaze, she then closed it with a wistful sigh.

"It was quite fun while it lasted, you are an interesting kid, Genjuro-kun." Fine said.

She then turn around and leave the ongoing battle behind her, already foresaw the conclusion. Too bad though, it is because they are friend that she known, Kazanari Genjuro wont understand the world she envision.

Genjuro leap up high and brought his foot down for an axe kick, the Greeed confidently caught it. The ground beneath it cracked as result, however this have no effect on Poseidon. With a twist of its hand, it aim to dislocate Kazanari's foot, no it more precise to said it aim to rip the man foot right off its socket. Of course, Genjuro can't let this happen. He channeled his Ki into that area, a human bone now have the same density make out of pure steel.

"Interesting trick. However, even steel is like pudding in my hand." Poseidon growled.

Proving his words, the Greeed increase its grip strength slightly but this is enough to put a crack in Genjuro's defense. The man winced, it have really been quite long since someone managed to hurt him like this but it is happening right now. Even with his foot being enhanced it wasn't enough, already he can tell the bone is cracking. Acting quick, Genjuro give up on a power contest. He swing his other foot at Poseidon's face, the Greeed caught it too. But this is a fence, with both its hand occupied, Genjuro slapped his hand together and brought it down on Poseidon's head in a swing strike. Seeing this the Greeed let go of Kazanari's limb and use both of its hand to block the strike. Instead of pressing on, Genjuro used this chance to push himself away from Poseidon to gain some distance. However, as if seeing through this, Poseidon leg shot forth like lightning. The swift strike hit right at Genjuro's chest, yet the force behind it is incredible.

"ACK!"

Genjuro spit out a mouthful of blood as he was sent skidding back, yet he managed to right himself at the end. The force from the kick is enough to rip his shirt to pieces, showing his tone muscle body. In the middle of his chest is the sinking imprint of Poseidon's kick strike.

"Commander!" Shinji exclaimed in worry.

Next to him, Miku put her hands to her mouth to stifle a shocked gasp seeing this.

Genjuro raise up an arm, signaling them to calm down.

"Really, your strength is even more monstrous than I thought. Should I be thankful you really only stick to unarmed combat against me?" Genjuro said with a tired smile.

The man know very well many ranged as well as powerful abilities the Greeed possess just like the variety of abilities that Eiji's armor have, except the Greeed is on a much higher level. He know thing would have been much more dire if the Greeed utilize all of those abilities. Yet, it didn't. Just like Genjuro it stick to just using close quarter combat against him, not even using his weapon. The red haired man would have found this frustrating during his younger day, but now as a more experienced man in a position of a leader, he would appreciate any chance he get.

"Well, you too exceed my expectation from a human. This have been working very well as a warm up." Poseidon said. "I wonder~ how long can we play before you break?" Its voice become distorted for a second.

Kazanari have a grimaced expression hearing this, Shinji look worry while Miku is outright terrified. But what they didn't know is, momentarily, Poseidon's mood wasn't any better. For these three who didn't know it well, they might not see anything wrong, but Poseidon know it personality almost got twisted again just now. This put a dampening mood to the enjoyment it was having.

"Alright, warm up over. I have play with you enough, let's decide this right now, human." Poseidon said.

"Just now, its mindset seems to shifted..." Genjuro thought.

As master, the man is very sensitive to his opponent mannerism and movement during battle so while not aware of Poseidon's condition he was still able to tell something is off. But he didn't have time to dwell on it, because he share the same thought as the Greeed.

Right this moment, Poseidon's eyepiece glowed an ominous hue of yellow. Seeing this, Genjuro also start to gather all the Ki he got left into his fist. They both silently agreed, let see how this one strike will determine everything. The two slowly walk toward each other, each of their step cracked the ground. Then, when they reach each other strike zone, both man and Greeed pulled their fist back.

Then the next moment, the world exploded from the perspective of Shinji and Miku.

BANG! BOOM!

"Not good!" Shinji cried out in alarm.

He instantly tackled Miku down, covering on the ground as a massive shockwave washed over the hallway of the 2nd Division destroying the wall and the ceiling with cracks going all over it. The ninja quickly used his burst of speed to bring himself and Kohinata far away from the center of the shockwave while hiding behind a corner, barely escaping the blast radius. Of course, the red haired man never forgot about them so he always used his Ki in a way that it will leave a protective area around the two. Thus, increasing their chance of being unaffected from the powerful clash.

However, while Genjuro successfully protected the two, for he himself...

"That was a really good punch. I am curious now, can you still push yourself further." Poseidon said through the smoke, Shinji watched on in disbelief and anguish. With the smoke slowly cleared it show the red haired man down on the ground, his guts have a gaping hole bleeding through while the Greeed Rider's chest armor show a slight dent and smoke but it instantly faded away. "With your own flesh and blood you are the first person who leave a dent on my armor. Be proud knowing that, Kazanari Genjuro." The Greeed Rider said, seemingly satisfied as it turn around to leave.

It didn't even care nor acknowledge the existence of Kohinata and Ogawa.

"A...Ah..." Miku muttered in shock.

The sight of a man bleeding out in front of her stunned the girl, meanwhile Shinji already sprang to action. He quickly come to Genjuro's side and checked out the wound with a grave expression.

"It's too deep." Shinji muttered in frustration, he then quickly bring out some clothes to covered the wound. "Miku-chan, sorry I need your help here!" He called out.

The girl still shaken but nodded after few second composing herself. She quickly went to help Shinji lift the man up, given his weight and her strength it is mostly Shinji who supported the Commander. The girl's main job is to press her hand on the cloth to prevent more blood from leaking. Her face whitened as the blood stained her hand.

"I can do this, I can do this." Miku muttered to herself.

"You doing fine Miku-chan, sorry that you were dragged to this." Shinji said encouragingly.

"N...no, it's fine. You guys been protecting us with no one knowing. T...This is nothing." Miku said with a deep breath.

Meanwhile, the group consist of Hino Eiji, Yukine Chris, Kazanari Tsubasa, Tachibana Hibiki and Ankh have reached the area of the school Eiji currently using his OOO Scorching Combo as a mean of travel while Tsubasa is riding her own bike with Chris and Hibiki using Eiji's Ride Vendor. Then there is Ankh flying above, overseeing the entire area with a grimace. Already they can see the sight of the once prestige academy now overrun by Noises and Trash Yummy. Many of the buildings already lay in waste, carbon dust filled the air, sound of panic masses can still be heard.

"No..." Hibiki muttered in distraught, what must the girl feel right now to see the place where she learn and also call home with her friends becoming like this? "Miku, Yumi, Kuriyo, Shiori...everyone!" The cream haired girl shouted in worry.

She can't wait anymore, the girl quickly leaped off and muttered the chant for her Gear, then she quickly don her Gungnir's Relic. On their way here, of course the gang have tried to contact the 2nd Division but have found their attempt unsuccessful. This only increase the cream haired girl's worry.

"Oi, wait idiot!" Chris called out, gritting her teeth. "Can't be helped I suppose." She muttered.

Usually Tsubasa would also consider Hibiki's action to be rushed, however, she can't do that right now. Considering the bluenette also in the same boat, her expression filled with anger and worry.

"Kanade, everyone! Please wait!"

If anything her honed warrior sense barely keep her from following Hibiki's example and blindly charge in first, seeing this, the yellow Rider called out to the other.

"I will follow to watch after Hibiki-chan! Everyone, let's make sure everyone is already evacuated!" OOO exclaimed.

He then dash forward in a blur, catching up to the other orange blur that is already running ahead.

"Hah, this one and that one are all the same. Rescue? All I know is how to set annoyance bug on fire." Ankh scoffed.

He then swoop off, flying to a different direction and rain down fire on whatever Noises or Trash Yummy that happen to enter his line of sight. This leave Tsubasa and Chris, the two share one quick glance at each other, without another words they split off to different section of the school themselves. There is no time to waste, with how big the layout of the academy is, they have to make sure no more people are hurt nor get left behind from the evacuation. With a flash of light, the two clad in their Ame no Habakiri and Ichaival respectively.

"Miku! Everyone! You guys?!" Hibiki called out in a rush.

All the Noises and Trash Yummy that tried to get in her way were all mercilessly bat away like flies, each punch and kick the girl throw out carry her rare angry emotion. As a result, while lacking the techniques she has honed from Genjuro, the cream haired girl's attack now carry wild explosive power in them. However, that also carry the risk of the girl accidentally creating destruction she didn't mean to, something OOO tried to stop her for.

"Hibiki-chan, calm down!" OOO urged, he himself just dash in and destroyed multiple monsters with his claws as well. He grabbed hold of the girl's shoulders and give her a light shake. "We will find them, but you can't let your Gear's power go rampage, it will be dangerous for yourself and other!" The Rider advised.

Even if he doesn't know much about the Symphogear like Ryoko, the Rider still understand a common risk all logic defying powers like these carry. You can't let them overtake you, if that's happen before you can protect anything that power might have destroyed it already.

"I...hah...hah..." Hibiki muttered, taking a few deep breaths then give him a nod. "I understand Eiji-kun."

"Uhm." OOO nodded back. "Since no one need our help here let's keep going, maybe we should go to the 2ndDivision." He suddenly said.

"Eh?"

"Miku-chan already known about all of this, plus I'm sure the 2ndDivision would want to protect your home, Hibiki-chan. It worth a try, better than us running around with no lead, we can also keep an eyes out on our way there." OOO said encouragingly.

"I...you right Eiji-kun." Hibiki said with a sigh, having a somber smile. "I really wish I can be like you, to be able to keep a calm head during times like these, unlike me who just run around and destroy everything instead of protecting anybody." She said dejectedly, looking down at her clenched fist.

"Even though my heart yearned for a way to connect to other, in the end, power is still power. So what if it my own hand instead of an Armed Gear? All that mean is I would be using my own hands to destroy what I'm trying to prot-"

"You wrong, Hibiki-chan." OOO said firmly, bringing the girl out of her fudge. "I got a head start that's all, in the future you will be able to do much better than me for sure." He said, rubbing her head gently. "Now let's go."

Looking at the Rider, despite not seeing his face, the cream haired girl can tell the trusting gaze he has on her. Really, what is wrong with her, out of nowhere she almost letting the trust other have on her go to waste?

"Uhm!" Hibiki hummed with a more relaxed smile.

The girl dash off, already leaving OOO behind who watched her back.

"You definitely will surpass me, Hibiki-chan. After all...the one who destroyed what he was trying to protect is me. There's no way you will lose to someone like that." OOO thought with a small smile.

The man then make his way after the girl quietly.

Despite having their destination planned out, with the people still being attacked on the Noises found on the way, OOO and Hibiki can't just ignore them. As they run, they make sure to take down all the Noises they see as fast and efficient as possible before pointing the civilian to the shelter location. At this point, OOO suddenly decide to switch to the Burakawani Combo.

By the time they make their way to the main building that above the 2ndDivision, the other have also rendezvous with them. Ankh have the same idea as OOO, while for Tsubasa, her priority is Kanade who is in one of the medical ward in the 2ndDivision. The bluenette have faith in the organization, she also known very well how capable her uncle is. But the Noises is an undeniable weakness for him, hence the bluenette want to make sure they are all safe as fast as possible. As for Chris, what else can she do but follow the gang, to think there come the day when she herself walk into the very same organization that she tried so hard to avoid.

However, just when the gang about to enter the building a figure can be seen standing atop of the building roof, holding none other than Durandal itself,looking down on them. All of them instantly recognized the person, each of them have a varied expression.

"Ryoko-san!" Hibiki is the first to call out, her expression is of joyous surprise.

"Sakurai-san..." Tsubasa called out, startled and confused.

Her instinct telling her the familiar figure in front of her is off, both the timing and the aura she exuding right now.

OOO and Ankh look up, the former expression hidden by the mask while the latter show a frown and they are both quiet.

However, the one with the most colorful is Yukine herself. She look up with an agape expression, for some reason a scientist from the 2ndDivision who she shouldn't have a chance to meet yet draw such a reaction from the girl.

"Y...You...why?" Chris muttered, gritting her teeth. "This...You planned all of this aren't you?! What are you trying to do!?"

The white haired girl outburst startled everyone sans Ryoko, they all look at the white haired girl in surprise.

"Oi, Yukine. Calm down, what ar-"

However, the Ichaival's Wielder ignored Kazanari's words.

"Answer me, FINE!"

This time, the silence returned.

…..Wait, what did she just said?

Such was a thought shared by the other right this moment, all the while, Ryoko show a sweet smile hearing her true name being called.

"It so nice to see you surrounded by so many friends now Chris-chan. Though I must said your choices were quite unexpected to said the least." Sakurai Ryoko, Fine, said sweeping her eyes across the shocked expression of the other people. "But oh well, beggar can't be chooser I'm sure. Especially since right now it might be too late for you to reconsider your choice anyway." She said with a forlorn sigh.

"Ryoko-san...what are you talking about?" Hibiki muttered in disbelief.

Despite knowing the older woman for not too long, for someone like Hibiki, the times was enough for her to consider Sakurai her friend.

"Those words...shall I interpret it as your confession!?" In contrast, Tsubasa have an easier times accepting the unbelievable fact despite how long she know the woman. No, perhaps it is precisely because of it that the betrayal stung even harder for the girl. "What happened to Kanade, the death of countless people at the Zwei Incident not to mention the disaster caused by the Noises...you were behind all of it?!"

The bluenettte exclaimed angrily, pointing her sword at her once respected comrade.

In contrast, Ryoko, no, Fine simply nodded like acknowledging the weather.

"Yep, I got you all fooled huh?" Fine asked, tilting her head with an amused smile.

"Y...you!" Tsubasa exclaimed angrily.

"I knew there was something make me don't like you. And the fact you want to cut me up is just an added bonus." Ankh growled.

"Aw, don't be like that bird boy." Fine said, waving her hand dismissively. "Don't hate the players, hate the game. You were simply few steps behind that's all. Not bad though, considering how late you two joined the boards." She said with a shrug.

"I suppose...this would explain how it seems all of yours moves always seems to be aiming at the 2ndDivision's opening. The Defense Minister, Nehustan and Chris-chan. This is all for the so called Kadingir huh?" OOO said, his expression darkened behind the armor.

There are little things that would set this man's heart aflame, yet right now this woman have committed all of it by putting other in danger.

"Bingo." Fine said. "Thank you ladies and gentlemen. With this, my lifelong dream will finally be achieved." She said with a dreamy expression.

"Damn you, just for that!? Kanade almost lost her life! While many are death and suffered from losing their families to the Noises!" Tsubasa exclaimed angrily.

"Why!? What's so great about that damn plan of your!? You treated human life like a piece of chess, like toys Fine!" Chris followed suit.

Both girls who always clashed head against each other now find themselves in common ground against the woman who orchestrated so many tragedies. In contrast to the two outburst, Tachibana still want to go for a more peaceful solution.

"Ryoko-san, I don't know what you trying to do. There a lot of things I am not aware of, I realize that already. But, I will always believe we who can communicate with each other can help each other. So please, just stop all of this and tell us what you trying to achieve, we can look for a more peaceful solution together!" Hibiki exclaimed with determination.

Facing all these varied emotions, Fine expression suddenly become blank.

"Irritating." Fine simply said.

"Eh?"

"Anger, sadness, confusion." Fine said, looking at the three girls one by one. She then looked up to the sky, where a fade outline of the moon can be seen given it is approaching noon. "Such pettiness, really, every time I watch the excuse for a human of these era I just feel more saddened. You all don't even realize what you have lost, how low you have fallen."

"What is this woman on about?" Ankh muttered in confusion.

However, he didn't raise his voice to interrupt the woman, he do need more information after all. Still, the man and OOO already on guard, ready to engage in battle the moment notice.

"Do you all know about the Tower of Babylon?" Fine suddenly asked.

Another question that throw everyone off, seeing the three girls either too stunt or fumed to reply, OOO decided to do it to push the conversation going.

"In the bible, it is a creation born from unified man in their attempt to reach Heaven, then..."

"...Then they invoked the attention of the God, even He was surprised by the strength of human's unity. At the result, he destroyed the Tower, scattered the human across the globe and also cursed them with fragmented language. No longer can we human commute in one unified tongue, separated by different languages leading to different in races and ideology. Thus humanity become a shadow of their former self." Fine continued, though the way she said it sound like she is recounting from experience.

"Ryoko-san, what are you trying to said?" Hibiki said in confusion.

"Don't tell me...that isn't just some simple story?" Tsubasa muttered.

"Are you telling me some old fairy tale are the reason you caused all this?" Chris asked, her eyes red in anger.

For the white haired girl, after everything she went through, the lost and betrayal along with all the deaths she caused. Only then, Fine suddenly throw this nonsense at them, how could Yukine Chris not lose it? However, the moment she said this...

"Fairy tale!?" Fine snapped, this is the first time the gang see this from both Fine and Ryoko. "You little girls who play around with fragment from ancient past dare to dismiss this? Idiot, all of you. What I am trying to achieve, worth everything I did. No, if it to accomplish this goal, no price is too large. Yes, what I am doing is bringing us back to our original glory, to unify humanity's language once again. And destroy the curses that separated us from our benevolent Creator, the Curse of Bael!" She declared with determination, pointing at the moon above the sky.

At everyone followed her gaze and saw what she pointing at, their thoughts once again throw to disarray.

"Is that source of the curse she babbling about?" Ankh wondered.

The cream haired girl shook her head, now is not the time to focus on this.

"Ryoko-san, no matter what just please stop all this now! Miku, Shishou and everyone, how are they already!? Y...You couldn't have..." Hibiki muttered.

She know her Master is strong, Tachibana should have faith in him. But now she know who Ryoko truly is, the girl can't stop a pit of fear forming in her stomach. She is trusting yes, but she isn't so blind to the concept of betrayal. No, it more precise to said she know it well. Once, Tachibana Hibiki have been betrayed by all those she thought are her friends, even the person closest to her. It a miracle the girl still want to believe in other so strongly, even then, she can hazard a horrifying guess. If Genjuro doesn't know about Ryoko's situation, then from what she know, her Master would never raise his fist against a comrade. Just like how Hibiki can never bring herself to harm her friends, then...what if Ryoko make use of that?

"No! T...That, I shouldn't think about Ryoko-san like that. No matter what, I refuse to believe the friendship she has with Shishou to be a lie!"

"About them eh? Last time I saw them, Poseidon was there. So all I can said is depend on their luck." Fine said with a sigh.

Her words cut through Hibiki's thought, making the girl stumbled back in disbelief.

OOO held onto the girl to steady her, he keep his gaze on Fine quietly. Then he finally break the silence.

"Ryoko-san...have you been there when the Tower of Babel was constructed?" OOO asked.

After all, the way she said it seems like the golden haired woman was there to experience it herself. And while as unbelievable as it may seems to even consider someone can live that long, in the world of Kamen Riders? Anything is possible, especially longevity. It almost a common theme really.

"Boy, you looking at one of it main architect herself." Fine said proudly with a reminiscence tone.

Her admission shocked the Gear Users again despite the fume they already in.

"Y...You, are you even human anymore?" Tsubasa asked in disbelief, clutching her sword tightly.

"Please, I told you already. It is this era definition of 'humanity' that have been downgraded tremendously. For us true human, to utilize Lost Technology and send our conscious throughout time using the map of humanity's gene and DNA are child play. For my ambition, I have awakened in countless people throughout history. If you open up a history book and read up a famous figures, chances are you looking at that person right now." Fine said, running a hand through her hair. "With a different look of course."

"Then, the person known as Sakurai Ryoko..." OOO said slowly.

"Hmph, she wouldn't have make it halfway here. That person is a decent scientist at best. If anything, I have to be thankful for you, Kazanari Tsubasa." Fine said, pointing at the shocked bluenette. "During the first test of the Relic, when you were using your song to awoke it, the frequency also matched the activation key for my domain soul sleeping without that woman."

"Kuh." Tsubasa grunted angrily.

Needless to said, the fact she had a hand playing into what happened now is gnawing at the girl.

"Fine..." Chris just growled.

Meanwhile, Hibiki now look lost. The small tiny bit of hope she was holding on to seems to be slipping away, her friends are now in dire situations. She has to do something...

"And now here we are eh? Seems like even us have been dancing in the palm of your hand." Ankh sneered.

"Oh you guys are more than just pebble throw to a pond for sure, if I have to be honest it more like a boulder, I did feel a series of headache at first." Fine then shrugged. "But then adapt is something I have been quite good at given my experience."

"Oh I'm sure, and now this Kadingir is your final step. Really, thank you so much for taking your time to explain all of this to us." Ankh said, crossing his arms.

"It's nice to have someone to listen to your effort every now and then, plus..." Fine then adopt a mocking smile. "This give me the time to activate the Kadingir."

Just at that moment the ground rumbled, Chris and Hibiki looked around in shock. As the same time, a series of thought flashed through the mind of Tsubasa, OOO and Ankh. Kadingir, a ladder that reach the Heaven. Given what Fine have told them, can they took the name more literally? And then that's when the three were reminded, there is a very tall and gigantic construct that they are aware of. It is something they themselves been using frequently, even more so for the bluenette.

"Kadingir...it been right here the entire time?" Ankh surmised.

"I suppose...there can't be a better hiding place." OOO nodded in agreement.

"Damn it...have everything been going by this woman's way from beginning to end?" Tsuabsa seethed.

And then, breaking through from the ground, the tall elevator system that connect the school to the underground 2nd Division raise up. Except now, its true form is revealed in all its glory. A golden appearance with ancient marking on it, the once elevator now look like a tall magnificent tower. However, its true purpose is reveal when one take a look at the top. Despite the complex design, one can still make out an appearance of the barrel of a cannon on the top of the Kadingir.

"It is time, Kadingir! Let us break through the Curse of Bael and welcome His return!"

Fine exclaimed in ecstatic, raising up Durandal and pointing it at the moon.

"Hahaha." Ankh laughed despite the disadvantageous situation.

"Hoh? Are you also awestruck by Kadingir's beauty?" Fine asked in curiosity.

"No, I just thought you really are quite a human. Really, to think we both thinking the same thing." Ankh said, making the golden haired woman narrowed her eyes in guard. "We too, couldn't have asked for a better chance to save for some times than letting you monologue yourself like that."

The Greeed then glanced at OOO who nodded back.

"Thank you for those minutes, I could have really used the chance to recover myself, now, I can keep using more Combos!" OOO declared.

This entire times he been using the Burakawani Combo to utilize its Soma Venom, beside its healing injury, the substance also work well enough as a backup resort that allow the Rider to recover from his fatigue. This allow him to remove the strain he been suffering from utilizing multiple Combos at the same time.

"Granted, it still won't beat a good long sleep..." OOO thought looking down at his hand, then clenched it with a determined expression. "But this will do!"

"Hoh, but then so what?" Fine asked, unfazed. "For a Rider...I simply just have to let another Rider clean him up, no?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Right at that moment, shot out from the ground is the Deepest Harpoon carrying with it intense energy aiming right at OOO.

"Eiji!" Ankh call out in warning.

"I know!" OOO shout back.

The Rider instantly slammed both his arms together, combining the two shields on its. As the same time, a solid energy barrier of golden color formed and protected the group against the projectile.

BAM! BZZT!

However, just because it was blocked, doesn't mean the threat is neutralized. The crimson spear stabbed into the barrier, clash against it instead of being stopped. The energy it carry push against the barrier with spark of lights filled the area. The three Gear Users after a brief seconds of startled quickly acted, with Tsubasa swing her sword at the spear followed by Hibiki also giving it an uppercut and Chris firing multiple round at it did they successfully halted the spear's charge and knocked it high up to the sky. As the spear spun upward it suddenly stopped, then as if with a will of it own the Deepest Harpoon returned where it was thrown. From the smoke a sound of the spear being caught can be heard followed by slow footstep echoing throughout the area, Ankh who didn't have much patient decide to act first.

"You taking too long!"

The Greeed throw a fireball at the direction where the footstep can be heard, the resulting explosion cleared all the smoke and debris but the figure standing in the middle of it remain unscathed. Poseidon stood there with his hand raise up, showing he has easily caught the fireball and neutralized it.

"Now now, Ankh boy, being hot headed would do you no good you know?" Poseidon suddenly said in a very feminine manner, the Greeed Rider caught himself and cleared his throat. "Argh, I really thought I have that controlled."

"Heh, seems like the white haired brat was right. You are off." Ankh said with a scoff. "Must be quite strain holding all those Core Medals huh? Those guys personalities are quite colorful after all, bet it must be quite a burden for a one track mind faker like you." The Greeed gloated.

"Spare me the child play tactics." Poseidon growled despite how calm he tried to sound. "Eventually I will squash all of them, only my thought count. Of course, before that, we still have one last dance unfinished aren't we?" The Greeed Rider said with great anticipation in his voice.

"Now, now." Fine said, clapping her hands to gain their attention. "You boys and your big talk need to move to other places, let us ladies have this spot for our special tea party eh?"

She said, sending a welcoming smile toward the three Gear Users.

The Greeed Rider grunted, this woman always know how to get under anyone skin. He almost pity the three little brat with how pretty much they been dancing in the palm of that woman's hand, almost. He still want to see what the payoff for all this mess this woman conjured after all, so until the firework start...

"Well you heard them, us boys should leave these ladies have their girls talks in peace eh?" Poseidon said. "Let's go to somewhere else to play!" It then suddenly squeal out excitedly.

Both OOO and Ankh are giving him incredulous look, even the three Gear Users as well. Once again this monster speech pattern is all over the place.

Seeing this, Poseidon decided he should just stop talking right now. Especially since he can hear Fine barely contain her snicker, no scratch that, that damn woman is laughing outright. Oh the thing he will do to her once her usefulness come to an end, perhaps ending her life right before she can meet that precious 'God' of her would be a perfect punishment. But before that, the time for their final game is finally here!

With a swing of his Deepest Harpoon, Poseidon conjured a tidal wave that washed him, Ankh and OOO away before the latter two can even react.

"Eiji-kun!" Hibiki cried out in concern.

"Focus, Tachibana!" Tsubasa called out, snapping the girl's attention back. "I understand how you feel, however, if we even want to be able to help we first must done our part." She said with narrowed gaze focusing on Fine who seems to be at ease. "This woman, she is no easy foe."

"Ah, she is strong, I know that better than anyone else, don't let her lazy attitude fool you." Chris said, also on guard.

"Aw, you break my heart, Chris-chan. To think you would betray my trust and side with those who want to harm me." Fine said with a smile.

There is so many thing wrong, so many things Chris can retort with what the golden haired woman said. However, at this point the white haired girl's personalities spoke out the loudest. Words are meaningless, with a stain of tears barely visible from the corner of her eyes, the white haired girl take aim and fired the first shot. Signify the beginning of the battle between the three Symphogear Users and the Last Priestess of the Lost Civilization.

On the other hand, the moment Poseidon left them, Shinji and Miku quickly used the chance to help carry the wounded Genjuro away. Currently they are heading toward one of the safe bunker build in the base, if nothing go wrong that is also where all the other staff are holding up right now in case of emergency like this.

Sure enough, the moment they reach the room, both Fujitaka Sakuya and Tomosato Aoi quickly rush out to meet them.

"Commander!"

Both of them called out in worry, seeing the red haired man's state. With two additional help, all four of them quickly loaded the big man into one of the bed inside the bunker. Thankfully, medical kits are prepared as to be expected. In fact, calling it medical kits are a bit of understatement. The equipment and medications stacked in here is enough for a doctor to perform surgery if need to be. All four of them quickly patched up Genjuro's wound after applied medications to his wounds. After that, the red haired man quickly regained his conscious, another testament to his inhuman strength. Even with all the state of the art medical items, with the wound he has sustained, it would have been miraculous for anyone else to not lose their life let alone regaining conscious already.

"Hah...sorry...I suppose to protect you guys...but it seems..." Genjuro coughed.

"Don't push yourself, Commander." Shinji urged him.

"You already protected us, we safe thanks to you." Miku said, with tears in her eyes.

"Hahaha, please save me the tear...ack...it would make me feel even more lame." Genjuro grunted out.

The man lied back down, the other two seeing this can't help but grimace despite the relief they feel seeing Kazanari's condition not worsened.

"So, Ryoko-san...no, Fine got what she came for then?" Aoi said hesitantly.

"Damn it." Sakuya said angrily. "She really...why? We all trusted her."

"Hah..." Genjuro sighed. "Sometimes, I can't help but feel...if I have been preserve harder...no, never mind. Right now, what we need to do is make sure thing didn't get any worse...any news about what happening outside? I'm assuming Tsubasa and the other are here already."

The two tech experts, Aoi and Sakuya shook their head with a frown on their faces.

"Unfortunately not, she really got us, communicating systems have been disabled. To be able to do this when we were having our guard up, I suppose it is as expected of Sakurai Ryoko." Aoi said coldly.

"I hate to said this, but with her knowledge and skills, when she become your enemy only then you realize how terrifying that woman is." Sakuya agreed in frustration.

"You guys..." Genjuro said with a sigh.

Looking at the two of them he understand the feeling of being betrayed still hit hard, but then one must also wonder if this is how these two feel that what must the man name Kazanari Genjuro going through right now given the friendship forged upon years he has with the auburn haired woman.

Looking at the heavy atmosphere, Miku bite her lips in anxious and frustration. The girl was once again reminded of her powerlessness in situation like this, forget trying to help her friend, right now her own safety is already not in her own hand. The girl looked around the bunker, seeing the other staff of 2ndDivision attending their own matter, a corner of the room is what draw her attention. Before all the rush make it hard for her to focus but now she can see it clearly, a spacious spot is saved to put a hospital bed.

And lying on it with essential medical equipment like bag of water hooked onto her is none other than the previous User of Gungnir, Amou Kanade.

"That..." Miku muttered in shock.

"Uhm, of course in anticipation of the worst case scenario we moved Kanade-kun here first." Shinji said, looking at the comatose red head with a sad frown. "She have done so much for all of us already, there is no way we can allow anymore harm to happen upon her."

"And yet here she is now have to stuck here with us...Hah...damn it, how am I suppose to face Tsubasa like this? I was too arrogant, I already aware of Poseidon's existence but I still have confident to take him on? No...I underestimated Ryoko-kun's resourcefulness until it arrive. I really thought I could neutralize her first then contact Eiji and Ankh about the Greeed." Genjuro sighed.

In reality the man make a gamble, he didn't let the Gear Users and the Riders know because he know they are the main fighting forces, very reliable comrade. But that also why Fine would take extra precaution to watch their every step, have she realize those like Eiji who been thwarting her plan make any out of the norm movement, the golden haired woman would have likely be even more discreet and keep sending wave after wave of Noises at them to keep wearing them down. Thus Genjuro decided to use himself, Shinji and the other two. Those that Fine have more confident to deal against as human with no 'special powers', except Genjuro but Fine have proven she can hold her own against him through various mean. The red haired man have no doubt the woman is afraid of those like Ankh, because unlike Genjuro, the Greeed would have no problem bombarding her with fireball the moment he realize she the enemy.

There would have been no room for any subtle manipulation of past relationship when it come to the red Greeed, that was another main reason Fine never really consider Genjuro as a threat. He an obstacle that she acknowledge, yes, but never a threat because she know to Genjuro, Fine isn't just anybody she is also Sakurai Ryoko.

"Hah, pathetic, to go through all that step...but I will save this wallowing later when we have a chance, now..." Genjuro thought, his eyes hardened.

There are still thing he and the 2ndDivision can do.
