Street Hunting for Robotic Exam
"What's up, UA Candidates? Thanks for tunin' into me, your school DJ. Come on and let me hear ya!" The cool-looking man shouted at the candidates. He is a Pro Hero and a teacher in UA High, the Voice Hero: Present Mic.
Present Mic s a tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a large tuft behind his head, and a small brown mustache. He is almost always seen with a large smile on his face and is almost never drawn with nostrils. He wears a black jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He sports tan shoulder pads and a red belt and elbow pads, all studded, and black fingerless gloves. His neck is always obscured by a directional speaker which he uses with his Quirk. He always wears a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" written on the headband and a pair of orange-tinted shades.
However, all the students are being quiet because of the exam today and want to save their energy for it.
"Oh, keeping it silent. I can dig that. Now, let's get on with the main show!" Present Mic announced.
"Oh my god, Present Mic is really here! I listen to his radio show every week! It's so crazy nuts that all UA teachers are pro heroes!" Izuku squealed quietly as best he can.
"Will you shut up?" Katsuki muttered in annoyance. How can Deku still look scary and fierce while he's still being such a fanboy like that.
"Like your application said, today you rockin' boys and girls will be out there conducting ten-minute mock battle in super-hip urban settings." Present Mic said as the large screen behind him shows the areas.
"Grid your loins, my friends. After I drop the mic here, you'll head to your specified battle center, sound good?" Present Mic asked as everyone look at their cards seeing which battle center they'll be in.
"I see, they're splitting us up so we can't work with any of our friends." Katsuki figured that part out.
"Yeah, our examinee numbers are one after the other but were assigned to different battle centers." Izuku said while looking at his card, then looking at Katsuki.
"And here I was looking forward to crushing you in the exam." Katsuki grunted.
"Don't worry, Kacchan, we'll just see how the results are after the exam then you can brag about it." Izuku said.
"Alright, everyone, here are your targets. There are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely." Present Mic mentioned as the screen shows three different shapes of robot-like silhouettes each with a different starting from 1, 2, and 3.
"Your goal in this trail is to use your Quirk to raise your score by shredding three faux villains like a mini-song guitar solo. But check it! Make sure you're keep'n things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA n-no, ya dig?" Present Mic explained the rules and penalty.
"So, no attacking each other. Got it." Tails nodded.
"Excuse me, sir, but I have a question/Sir, I would like to ask you something." Tails and a boy with glasses both raised their hands at the same time.
"Oh, looks like we got two callers coming in." Present Mic smiled.
"I take it you notice this as well?" Tails asked the glasses boy.
"Yes, I hope to address this with Present Mic." The glasses boy nodded.
"Ah, looks like both of you are thinking of the same question to ask me. Well, hit me!" Present Mic decided to let both of them ask.
"It's about the printout, you only mention three villain robots that we have to fight in the exam and yet there is a mention of a fourth robot, and I was wondering if this is something we should avoid." Tails mentioned on the paper.
"(He's right, there is a fourth robot.)" Izuku thought realized with a soft growl.
"With all due respect, if this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students. We expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do." The glasses boy stated strongly.
"Additionally, you with hairy green body and fangs." The glasses boy pointed at Izuku much to his surprise.
"You've been muttering this entire time. Stop that. If you can't bother to take this seriously, leave. You're distracting the rest of us." The glasses boy scolded Izuku with a mean look on his face.
"Wow, sounds like you've forgotten what it feels like to be human. What, did you traded in your flesh for robot parts and program to be a stick in the mud?" Izuku asked with a smirk.
"Nice." Katsuki chuckled as he high-five with Izuku.
"How dare you?!" Tenya gasped while Tails softly laughs.
"Alright, alright. You two examinees. Thanks for calling in with your request." Present Mic gave a thumbs up and begin explaining about the fourth robot.
"The Fourth villain type is worth 0 points. That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in every battle center, think of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's… kinda no point." Present Mic explained.
"I recommend my listeners to ignore it and focus on the ones with the points!" Present Mic advised.
"Thank you very much. Please, continue." The glasses boy thanked as he bows and sat back down on his sit.
"Oh, I get it. So, they're kinda like traps you have to get by in games." One boy started to see that.
"The whole thing's like a video game, huh?" Another boy commented.
"This is getting really excited! A thrill of the hunt!" Sticks giggled.
"Doesn't seem that hard at first, but I did promise I'll give this my all." One gal said with her head leaning on her hand.
"That's all I gotta say, I sign this one off with our school motto. As General Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down, "A true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes." Mm-hm. How that's a tasty soundbite." Present Mic mentioned a saying from a French general in the past.
"You ready to go beyond? Let's hear a Plus Ultra!" Present Mic cheered with his fist in the air.
"Good luck! Hope you practiced hitting more than just books." Present Mic grinned.
Tails looks over to Izuku who notices him staring, the blonde boy gave him a thumbs up as a sign of wishing him good luck in the exam and the hairy were-boy responded with a nod and have him a thumbs up too.
(Battle Center B)
All of the candidates who have also been assigned to Battle Center B are waiting in front of the giant door that looks like giants could be living on the other side, where the practical exam will be taking place.
"The big day is here. I'm going to show everyone what I'm made of!" Izuku talked to himself while doing pushups by stretching his arms to push himself higher.
"See, Ochaco! I told you this guy was stretching his arms like a hairy rubber band." One rabbit grl said to her friend as they walk up to Izuku.
"Now that is something you don't see every day." Ochaco commented.
"Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya." Izuku introduced herself.
"Hey there, I'm Carrot Zou." Carrot smiled.
Carrot is a white-furred, blonde-haired rabbit girl with brown eyes, rabbit ears, a rabbit-like nose, a large round fluffy tail, but with a body otherwise similar to that of a human adolescent girl. She is shorter than average, with a height of 161 cm (5'3"). She wears a yellow tank-top with two rabbit feet cross on each other, yellow running shorts, and orange running shoes. Breasts size: I-cup.
"And I'm Ochaco Uraraka, nice to meet you." Ochaco greeted.
Ochaco is a short girl with a slender yet curvy figure, fair skin, and auburn hair with eyes that match in color. She has perpetual pink blush marks on her cheeks, and her eyes are large and round with thick upper lashes, two more extended and more prominent ones on either side and fewer but more individually pronounced lower lashes. Her hair is shoulder-length with short bangs, and the style is bobbed with two long strands framing her face. She has small, thick pads on her fingertips similar to the digits of an animal's paws. She wears black running jacket with a pink strap on each sleeve and a white shirt underneath, black running pants, and white running shoes. Breasts size: E-cup.
"I bet you're really excited for taking this exam." Carrot said to Izuku.
"I sure am, it's something I've been dreaming of doing my entire life. To become a hero and help anyone I can." Izuku nodded as he stood up.
"To be honest, I'm a little nervous. This is such a big step for me getting into UA and I'm worried about not being able to pass." Ochaco said, pressing her fingers together.
"I'm sure you're going to do great. You just gotta have faith in yourself and give it everything you got." Izuku advised.
"He's right. You worked too hard just to let some doubt get you down, go in there and let everyone know what kind of hero you want to be!" Carrot encouraged her friend.
"Okay, I'll give it my all." Ochaco nodded, going to do her best.
"Great, because I think the exam starts with that door opening." Carrot pointed at the giant door that started to open up.
"Wait, they're opening right now?!" Izuku gasped.
"Right, let's start!" Present Mic shouted, getting the attention of the other students.
"Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles. Run, run, run, listeners! You're wasting airtime here." Present Mic grinned, telling them that the exam has already started just now.
The moment Present Mic said that Izuku and everyone immediately ran into the fake city almost at the exact same time as he stretches his arm to swing over the street.
"Okay, I just need to find one robot to get started—Oh, there's one!" Izuku spotted one robot.
"Maybe I could try out one of my moves I've been working on." Izuku smirked.
Izuku let's go of the building to drop down at the robot while stretching his right arm back as he growls at the robot that just notices him coming.
"Target acquired. Eliminate." The robot said.
"Yeah, something is getting eliminated. You!" Izuku declared as he retracted.
"Dark Star Punch!" Izuku threw the stretch punch that smashed right into the robot and crushed it into pieces.
"Awesome!" Izuku shouted in victory.
"I got my fist robot! Now I just need to get the others." Izuku said as he runs into another street to find more robots.
"Oh my, that was quite the power he has there." One French-looking boy commented, having just watched the green hair guy destroyed that robot.
Izuku runs on all four going the fastest he could to find more robots, but also not overexerting himself too much so that he would get tired later and save up his energy as much as he could in this exam.
So far, Izuku manages to find at least over a dozen robots and even managed do one robot in when it was about to attack one candidate who was down looking tired.
"Thanks!" The guy thanked.
"You're welcome!" Izuku shouted as he ran off.
He spotted another robot trying to come at him to attack only for the werehog boy to stretch out his arms and clap so hard that he flattens his second villain robot.
"Alright! I got it!" Izuku smirked.
Izuku then looks around to see there are some more robots around though most of them are destroyed and he can also see the other candidates around too, them finding and destroying the robots as much as they could.
"Her again." Izuku spotted Ochaco running.
Ochaco touches four villain robots, and they are floating probably due to her Quirk making them go high into the air.
"Now, release!" Ochaco pressed all of her fingers together, and the robots came back crashing down on the ground.
"Okay, that should be at least 28 points." Ochaco panted, hoping she counted the numbers right.
"(Wow, she's already 28 points. I currently have 33 points right now.)" Izuku thought remembered how many robots he had destroyed so far.
Then he saw that glasses guy moving at such incredible speed with engine pipes on the back of his legs as he kicked one robot down.
"That makes 45." The glasses boy said.
"45 points! He got so many so fast!" Izuku was shocked.
"27 for me!"
"Hey, back off, that one's mine!"
"First come, first serve!"
"(Wow, everyone is really giving their all in this exam. They all want to get into UA, each with their own reason of wanting to become heroes though some are selfish and greedy, but I can tell that the others have good hearts.)" Izuku thought looked around.
"Alright, time to get back into the action!" Izuku said before running off.
(With UA Staff)
The scene shows of Izuku though the view is that of a lighter tone of a screen, then zoom out showing multiple screens of the other candidates in other zones doing their best in the exam as each do their own thing.
"Clearly, the candidates have no idea of how many villains are present or their locations. They have limited time, must cover a vast area, and hunt down every last target." One short man pointed out as he and the other heroes present are watching the candidates.
"Some use information-gathering abilities to plan out strategies while others rely on speed to pull ahead of their peers. Of course, remaining calm under pressure can be a huge advantage, as can pure power and combat ability." The short man added.
"The most successful students use a combination of all these tactics they're the ones who rack up the highest scores." The short man said as well.
"Hmm, I'd say this year's group looks promising." A female hero complimented and licks her tongue.
"Well, there's still plenty of time before it's over. The real test has yet to come." A male hero smirked under his mask.
"Now, let see how they react?" One very skinny man pressed a red button.
(With Tails)
"Come and get me!" Tails taunted one robot in front of him.
The robot charges at the robot which is a predictable thing he has been counting on and jumps on the face then toward the back, he punches one spot where the console is and pulled out some wires to make the robot flinches for a bit and then stop completely.
"Yes, that makes it my third robot and now I got 7 points!" Tails smiled.
"But now I'm worried that I'm far behind from everybody. If only I could use that power now." Tails looked at his hand.
But this his thoughts were interrupted when the ground started to shake like an earthquake suddenly hit the place, but everyone is about to find out that there is something worse than an earthquake as a giant shadow looms over the candidates.
"What the…" Tails turned around to see where the giant shadow was coming from.
"No way!" Tails was shocked to see one giant robot suddenly appearing within the fake city and about to go on the attack, this also causes Tails to remember about what Present Mic said about the fourth robot.
(Flashback)
"Think of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it and focus on the ones topping the charts." Present Mic advised with showing the fourth robot on the big screen and being worth 0 points.
(Flashback End)
"Okay, yeah, I now clearly see what he meant by that. But he couldn't have told us the fourth robot would be over 50 feet tall and massive!" Tails screamed, freaking out that UA could even have something like that in the entrance exam.
All of the candidates got freaked out in seeing that big robot and ran away, Tails was about to do the same only to stop when he heard a cry "Help!" close by.

The UA practical entrance exam has begun with the candidates going after robots to gain some big points only Tails appears to be far behind from the rest, but the giant zero-point robot showed up to make things a little more interesting and to bring something out from the candidates as well.
