Chapter 3: Sundash and Meadow

It was daylight and a young Cinderace was on all fours croaching behind a bushes as she stalked her latest meal. The Cinderace girl had long white Cinderace hair, had red eyes and wore barely anything except for red skirt, and black sports bra. The Cinderace was not to be messed with as she stalked her target silently on all fours just as her mother a Pyroar girl had taught her at a very young age. This was Sundash, a feared kunochi and a skilled predator, yes a known predator at that which very few got the privilege from Arecus himself to be one. Sure cannibalism was illegal under most situations but Pyroars or anyone part Pyroar was allowed to hunt whoever they pleased. Sundash may have been a Cinderace on the outside and looked like a harmless Cinderace, but in the inside she was half Pyroar herself. Right now her red eyes had spotted potential prey, a Raichu. Normally Sundash wouldn't hunt Raichu even though they were perfectly legal to hunt, but this one had been on a crime spree recently doing whatever he pleased to girls including violating them. Thus Sundash hunted well known criminals. She closes in stealthily, the boy didn't sense danger. Once close Sundash pounces and the boy catches sight of her, but at the last second. THUD! Sundash's prey hit the ground hard seeing stars around his head, he tries to fight her off by shocking her but couldn't when Sundash's pyroar like teeth sink into his neck. Sundash held onto his neck strangling him until her prey was dead. Once the Raichu boy was dead. Sundash takes her prey into the shadows, strips him then starts devouring him.
"Sundash!" A voice called just as Sundash took her first bite out of his raw flesh.
"Hmm?" Sundash asked turning towards the voice with a mouthful of food.
It was her mother a beautiful Pyroar girl. Honestly the only Pokeperson that made Sundash feel appreciated. Sure she was part Pyroar but, due to her being part Cinderace and looking like a Cinderace, her pride's male leaders dejected her from the moment she was introduced into her pride. One even so far claiming that a Cinderace could never accomplish what a true Pyroar could do. In other words she was shunned by the pyroar men of her pride due to being a Cinderance. Sure it hurt Sundash to know they shunned her, but this fueled Sundash to prove those two wrong. Her mother on the other hand was very supportive of her daughter, like any mother would and taught her the ways of being a pyroar regardless of what her brothers would make of Sundash's presence.
Sundash's mother walked into view seeing her daughter with a mouthful of raw meat from her successful hunt "Oh sorry sweetie! Did I catch you in a bad time?"
Sundash swallowed the meat "Sort of, I just made the kill mom. What's up?"
Sundash's mother rubbed her daughter's hair "That's my little girl! As for what's up sweetie, once you've finished eating, the Lunakage would like to meet up with you and Meadow."
Sundash frowned at the mention of Meadow's name. Meadow was a Milotic girl, and while both of them were from the same ninja village, both Sundash and Meadow were constant bitter rivals, each trying to out do the other, and each were skilled predators in their own right, but Sundash was deadly skilled on land while Meadow was deadly skilled in water "What for mom?"
"Something about a mission she's sending you on before you and Meadow head out to school."
Sundash listened to her mother taking another bite out of her kill but rolled her eyes at school "You're honestly forcing me to go to school mother? Besides haven't I had enough in enrolling in that ninja school of our village?"
Sundash's mother moved a stern hand underneath Sundash's nose "It's for your education missy! Besides, you'll be with your best friend Flare through the whole day, the Lunakage has seen to that. Besides...I think I know what that mission is about and it may involve your schooling arrangement."
"Oh alright" Sundash said not exactly thrilled to go to school as she checked out her body "I don't have the right clothes though."
"In most situations yes" Sundash's mother admitted holding up Sundash's actual school outfit which would've been a white undershirt to go over her black sports bra and long black socks and black shoes to match the socks "Which is why I'm bringing you this."
Sundash puts on her school outfit and proceeds in devouring her prey. Once she was done she heads off towards the Sagekage's outfit where a red haired pigged tailed girl with Milotic features on her head walked at her side. The Milotic girl wore a blue school outfit that matched her Milotic colors.
"Oh if it isn't Sundash" the Milotic girl said.
Sundash looks at her fighting the urge not to snap "Not now Meadow. I was having a good day hunting, and it's bad enough we have a mission with each other."
"Feeling's mutual!" Meadow snapped.
The two walked into the office of the Lunakage. The Lunakage was the most powerful ninja in the ninja village. In fact the current Lunakage was a Cresselia girl a very beautiful one that and young. Younger than most kages that is. Her real name was Duskbreeze. She looked up at the two "Ah, perfect timing you two! Please have a quick seat."
After looking at each other the two sat down backs turned to the other. The Lunakage sighed "This rivalry you two have has to come to an end one day."
Sundash looked at the Lunakage as did Meadow with eyes that told her there was only one way this rivalry would end and it would have the two fight, but right now there was more troubling matters "Listen ladies, out of all the ninja of this village you two are my best for the mission at hand."
Sundash now got interested "What's the mission about Lady Lunakage?"
The Lunakage turned towards the two "I have had a psychic vision of the future. A great darkness that has never before seen since the early days of this world will fall upon us. Electra and her family will be key players against this darkness, yet at the moment they have no idea what is coming. What this darkness is has yet to be determined, but I hear Dr. Hotaru has also had this vision."
"What are we going to do?" Meadow asked in a concerned tone.
Sundash also showed a look of concern on her face.
The Lunakage turned her attention to the two kunochi "At the moment until me or Dr. Hotaru or both of us can piece together what this vision meant, it's clear we need to take evasive action and do what we can to protect Electra and her family. Which is why I enrolled you two in the same schools as Electra's daughters and nieces. Your mission is to protect them."
"Yes ma'am!" was the response from Meadow and Sundash.
The Lunakage turned her attention onto Meadow "And no eating that Vaporeon Girl Ariel missy. Your assignment is to protect, not devour."
Sundash agreed muttering under her own breathe "As you've done so once before."
Meadow shot Sundash a glare "OH YOUR BRINGING THAT UP! NEWS FLASH SUNDASH! YOU EAT OTHERS TOO!"
Sundash returned to the glare "I MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO GO AFTER CRIMINALS AND OTHER PREY THAT WOULD DO ANY HARM TO GIRLS! YOU EAT WHOEVER YOU PLEASE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER BEINGS THAT I PREY ON!"
Meadow presses her head angrily against Sundash's as the two looked like they were about to fight "HOW SHOULD I GO AFTER THOSE TYPE OF PREY WHEN THEY AREN'T NEAR WATER?"
Sundash smirked daring Meadow to attack her as she answered "GET BETTER AT HUNTING ON LAND THEN! IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU SUCK AT HUNTING ON LAND!"
There was a growl coming from the Milotic girl as it did look like she was going to throw a punch, but the Lunakage's voice brought them back as she lifts both up with her mind using psychic "ENOUGH YOU TWO! THERE WILL BE A TIME WHERE YOU TWO WILL BE ABLE TO VENT YOUR ANGER AND DIFFERENCES ON EACH OTHER, BUT NOW IT'S NOT THE TIME!"
Both Meadow and Sundash look at the Lunakage as their brains hurt from the telekinetic grip. The Lunakage calmed herself down as she asked them "If I release you two, will you calm down?"
"Yes, ma'am!"
"Good"
The Lunakage released the two girls and they fell to the ground hitting their butts on the floor. Both rubbed their butts as they hit the ground too hard. Both shot each other a look turning their heads to each other issuing out a hmph as they did so. The Lunakage sighed knowing this rivalry would continue on with no end on sight until these two had a proper fight against each other "So again, work together you two, and do what you can to protect Electra, and her family even if it means assisting them in whatever they need assistance in. Now go don't waste time."
Without any other word said both Meadow and Sundash leave the office. Once the two were away the Lunakage shook her head as if to relieve the stress these two constantly gave her as she looked out her window into the bright sky above asking herself "Now what could be the meaning of Dr. Hotaru and my vision? Those two girls though do need to vent out their anger on one another one day."
It then occurred to the Lunakage "OF COURSE THE CHUNIN EXAMS!" she looks at her stack of paper "Which isn't until two months."
She returned her attention out the window pondering what her vision meant. Oh she knew whatever it meant it meant something dark was about to unfold.
End of chapter. I know this was supposed to be Candy's kidnapping but I decided it was to introduce Sundash and Meadow so that they are allied to Electra's family. Next chapter for sure is Candy's kidnapping.
