Staircases spiraled up and at the edge of the wall. From time to time, they would split into more paths that led to rooms and spaces of a mysterious origin. Maybe this used to be a castle. Maybe it was a small kitchen. But now, it was just a resting place for the average creature for whom this abandoned structure was reasonable shelter - a substitute for a forest or mountain.
"This temple must have been the center of various businesses of an older generation," remarked the eldest. "
the architecture is different from that of castle, however. Perhaps there were some other cultural influences," he continued, searching his mind for the most likely civilizations.
"It is said that this temple might have actually been a joint space among another nations. Therefore, if there is a crystal, it may actually contain the different attributes from maybe three or four other nations."
"So that would mean..."
"There's multiple abilities infused."
The four walked solemnly as they realized this fact. If something happened here, a joining of several different nations, it would potentially be cataclysmic.
A scratching noise slowly made its way from the ceiling of the upper hallway. Its enormous figure and mean growl - the signs were obvious. It looked like one whose just caught intruders about to steal a well-loved treasure.
"There's little time for this."
The elder jumped in front and extended its staff. Quickly casting a technique that slowed the body, the elder moved past the creature.
There was a little room - now only 50ft away - was filled with a light that even more blinding than that that was emitted from the walls and torches.
The Luxians was astonished by the way in which the light pushed forth from the grand structure in the center of the room. It was like a tree - ancient but still filled with life. The eldest was particularly struck by its strength. The young lady by the way in which the light produced different colors along the wall. The young man in red by the vivaciousness of it. The young man's friend by the many ways in which the descriptions given by the castle officials differed.
The elder alone stood neutral. A blue mist began to appear.
-A sword pointed like as if magnetically influenced toward the bluest part. Its owner instantly began to - with the rage of some wounded animal - charge towards it.
"Wait!"
The sound was a whisper dissolving into the air. When the person approached the center of this mist, it suddenly began to collect towards the center of the room.
"It's a protector."
The blue mist had now had form, shape, and mass. Its arm was raised and a blue sphere formed on top.
Immediately, the Luxian in the back jumped forward in front of the other, raising his shield. It was parasol against the radiant light that was ejected. The other three fell into formation. The light that was ejected, it flew fast, hard, precisely. But it missed the five. The trajectory was curved.
"The crystal!"
The spherical attack had rebounded off the luminous structure. The creature prepared another. How could such creature dare to make an offensive like that against such thing, each wondered. Again, only the elder maintained his 'sang-froid.'-like countenance.
The lady looked closely at the cloudy figure turned towards the crystal. In its violence, there's hardly a sense maliciousness. If it attacked, it was as a defense. And its coloring very much matched the thing that it tried to split into pieces.
The young man in training armor instantly assumed the basic form. His shield and sword were positioned in a way that would best prevent the destruction of their material.
A ball of ice broke through her thoughts. Its line of fire ran parallel to the extended rod. This creature would have fail this time in its endeavor for the sake of peace.
