Professor Palladium and Professor Wizgiz were taking a walk along the campus
They had just had their morning tea and were discussing plans for their classes after the summer
It's the first week of summer break and most students of the different schools of Magix had gone home by now.
Summer break for Alfea had just started last weekend.
Even the students that usually stay at school during vacations and free days go home during the summer as only one or two teachers are there at any given time, students aren't allowed to hang around after the last weekend or come back more than a week before the classes start, though most choose to come back only a day before, creating chaos.
Palladium and Wizgiz were the only Professors still at the school, taking the first shift of watching the school protecting all the magical artifacts and other things held within.
"You are not doing the change your hair colour lesson first again are you?" Palladium asked, an arched eyebrow and a slight smile on his face
"Why not it's a classic? and what young fairy would not wanna learn to change the colour of their hair with just a thought" the short wizard responded shaking his head at his friend
"Haha ok you do you, I have a great idea for the first years, but they might not like it" Palladium responded
"Oh no what are you planning now, I hope it isn't something that makes them have the same amount of respect for you as the older students have?" Wizgiz asked with concern
"You should really do something about that some day, or you will get another earful from Griselda when your students misbehave"
"I know, but I don't like being the strict teacher, I want them to trust me, especially considering I'm often in the medical wing and it's better if they feel like they can tell me the truth about why they are ill or injured knowing I will not punish them for it" Palladium responed.
"Yeah I know" Wizgiz said "So what's the idea you have for the first years?"
"So I was going to make them find their way through the black mud swamp without using any-" Palladium stopped mid sentence and stood still
"what is wrong?" Wizgiz asked while looking back at his colleague, Palladium pointed at the thick bushes next to them "Look there, there's something under that tree"
Wizgiz looked over and saw some pixie pets fussing over something and drawing their attention, he and Palladium walked over and saw a young girl laying unconscious under the tree in a long flowy light blue dress, she had shoulder length dark blue ...

Wizgiz walked over to her and looked at her closely "She is not any of our students is she? She does not look quite old enough and her magical energy feels too pure, too fairy like to belong to a witch"
Palladium agreed "You're right and head witch Griffin does not allow witches that young into her school either"
He hovered his hand above her and muttered a spell, his hand began to glow "Her energy does feel like a fairy but, there's something else too"
"Yes I feel it too, it's kinda similar to your magic" Wizgiz agreed
Palladium looked to his friend and then back to her "But even if she's half elf half fairy she wouldn't have both types of magic at the same time, they only have one of them" he said with a puzzled look on his face
"No matter what is going on she appears to need our help" Wizgiz said with determination
"Oh no you are right, we've just been standing here discussing like she is not laying unconscious in the forest" Palladium exclaimed as he kneeled down and picked her up
"Let's get her to the medical wing and see if we can help her" he added as he started walking towards the school.
Wizgiz thanked the Pixie pets for looking after the girl as they happily ran off into the forest he turned around and followed his friend back to the school "Now to help this girl and solve the mystery of where she came from" he thought to himself.
