A/N: Happy birthday, Chiaki!

"What is this, Hajime?"

She hears him chuckle.

"You'll know it when you see it, Chiaki. For now, you'll have to take me on my word." And with that, Hajime keeps a firm grip on her hand as he leads her on to wherever he's planning to take her to.

With a surprised yelp, Chiaki holds onto Hajime's hand as she lets him lead on. She has no idea exactly what he's planned about this, and so far, he didn't give her any clues about it either. Not only that, she can't exactly see where they're going either.

At least, not while she still has this blindfold on. And she isn't about to take it off any time soon.

Not until Hajime gives her the clear to do so.

She doesn't know how long she's been walking around, being unable to see anything around her, all while having Hajime guide her along the way. She knows there's nothing to worry about, not as long as he's there with her, but it would be nice to know what is going on here.

For now, she'll just have to bear with it. There's got to be a good reason for this whole secrecy going on, even if she doesn't really understand why at the moment.

She can trust Hajime with this.

After a while, she feels him pause from walking. He holds her close, keeping her from stumbling forward. And then, once she's stable standing right where she is, she feels him move away from her.

"Okay, you can take the blindfold off now."

She does exactly that, and she squints, letting her eyes adjust to seeing light again. Once it did, she doesn't think she could ever prepare for the sight in front of her.

Falling to her knees, she feels everything in her body go weak and squeeze everything out of her heart because look at them! She can't believe what she's seeing right now! From these fields, she can see a small group of little white balls of fluff, each of them with adorable beaks and tails. Even from here, she knows exactly what they are. They're baby seikrets!

And not only that, Kirby and Ribbon are there too. They look like they're having fun, though some of the baby seikrets are also having plenty of fun chasing them around. And Kirby's eyes are comically bulging out as he tries to frantically outrun those hyperactive babies. It's a really cute sight.

Chiaki turns to Hajime, now seeing him flash a gentle smile towards her.

"Happy birthday, Chiaki." He tells her, holding a chirping baby seikret towards her.

"Hajime..." Chiaki cradles that baby seikret close to her chest, her voice almost cracking. She smiles at him, before leaning forward to hug him, with the baby seikret in-between them. "Thank you so much."

"I'm really glad you love this surprise." He says as he pecks a kiss on her forehead.

She giggles. "And I'm really glad I get to enjoy all of it with you today."

Hajime's cheeks turn pink, but he chuckles along with her.

The day has only begun, and they still got a lot of time to spend together.
