Ginny's POV
'Ginny! Hermione! Get up! Come quick!'
Ginny jerked out of her sleep at the sound of her Fathers panicked voice,
'What?! What happened?! Who's died?!' she heard herself mumble foolishly,
'I don't know… your Dad said to get outside, he's now gone to wake Harry and Ron and the others.'
Ginny stepped her way outside, she heard shouting and screaming. There was a strange feeling in the air… similar to the one back in the Chamber Of Secrets, though not as bad. She shivered thinking about it but just at that moment Percy, Charlie, Bill and Dad came running out of the other tent, wands raised.
Ginny grabbed Bill's arm, wondering what this was all about,
'What's happening Bill? What's going on?' She asked, trying but failing to hide the tremor in her voice.
'There's just some um… bad people and we need to help stop them. You go into those woods… stick to Fred and George…'
'bad people'?! Ginny cringed at being treated like she was five. She opened her mouth to say this but realised That Bill was staring over her shoulder. All the colour gone from his face.
'What…?' She turned to where Bill was looking, but didn't expect to see the Muggle campsite family being tortured by masked men. The sound of their screams brought her back to the time where Tom was torturing HER in the Chamber Of Secrets.
'Ginny… you can see I really need to go – you go and hide, remember, STAY with Fred and George!'
Fred and George's POV
I grabbed Ginny's hand, pulling her away from the screaming Muggles. She clutched it tightly, her eyes full of terror. George and I looked at each other, both thinking the same thing. Ginny was too young to be experiencing this. She's been experiencing everything too early since she got taken into the fucking Chamber Of Secrets, but, right now she clutched hard onto my hand. Squeezing harder and harder when one of the Muggle screams were heard.
I finally released her when we got to the middle of the woods, she bent over the nearest tree vomiting.
'fuck…' George looked at Ginny before looking around and realising something else,
'FUCK! Where's Ron and the others?!'
'I dunno – He'll be fine though. He's with Harry and Hermione' I replied though I was worried myself.
Our gazes went back to our baby sister, who had straightened up and was shaking.
'Gin Gin…' George went over to her and hugged her. She looked up at us, her face terrified.
'What… who… who are they?'
'Death Eaters, Gin. You Know Who's supporters.' I answered, joining in the hug.
It was only then when I realised how tiny she was. Was this the same strong, feisty girl who could pull of pranks that could rival our own? It struck me how much she changed after the Chamber Of Secrets, well, the year following those events it was obvious that she had changed. Jumping at every noise, constantly being pale and wan and having nightmares profusely. But, she surely would have recovered by now - right? So would she never be the same again?
We held Ginny closer, as she cried into our chests. George and I shared another scared look. But, we weren't scared because of the Death Eater. We were scared because
Ginny never cried.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang and George and I jumped away from Ginny, our wands out. Screams and shouts filled the air and George nudged me, pointing to the sky,
The Dark Mark.
His mark that hadn't been seen for thirteen years.
Which was only fired into the sky when someone had been killed.
All the colour had drained from Ginny's face, she looked like she was about to faint. Thankfully, she stayed upright. Her breath ragged.
George was the first to find his voice, 'Guys, we better get out of here back to the campsite.'
I nodded, leading Ginny back who had resumed her crying. We found our tents, with Bill keeping watch outside. He jumped up when he saw us,
'Thank God! You've made it back safely' He looked behind us his relieved expression leaving, 'Where are the others?'
'Dunno… we got split up. They'll be fine' I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.
Ginny, in the meantime, had lunged herself onto Bill, now crying harder than ever. He gently led her inside, where Charlie and Percy were waiting, stoking her hair.
Us five brothers looked at each other. We were so sure that Ginny was finally recovering.
It turns out we were wrong.
