When the divorce from Derek became official, Addison felt lost. She didn't know what direction her life was going or what she wanted. The only thing sure about herself at that moment was that she didn't want to stay in Seattle. So, when the offer to build a world-class Maternal Fetal center at Johns Hopkins came, she couldn't wait. She packed her few belongings and started a new chapter in Baltimore.

Her first day at work was a hectic one, but she loved it. She was finishing scrubbing out of a surgery with Dr. Robbins, a pediatric attending surgeon who needed her expertise for a pregnant teenager under her care. As Addison left the scrub room, she heard a voice from her left.

"Hey gorgeous, are you an Obstetrician? Because you just induced my labor… of love."

She stopped in her tracks and laughed heartily. She wasn't sure when was the last time she had laughed so hard. Turning around with a smile that lit up her eyes, she saw the blonde doctor who had just finished surgery with her. Addison looked her up and down, her gaze stopping at the striking blue eyes.

"You need to work on your… delivery." Addison quipped, biting her lip as she slowly walked backwards toward the elevators. Arizona chuckled at the pun.

"If I promise to work on that, will you have dinner with me?" The blonde followed the redhead, looking smug.

The redhead contemplated the invite as she looked into those intense eyes again. Her smile grew more genuine as she responded.

"Okay. How about tonight, Dr. Robbins?"

"Arizona. And my shift ends in half an hour." The blonde extended her hand towards the redhead.

"Addison. And what a coincidence, my shift ends at the same time!" She grinned, shaking the offered hand but not letting go right away.

And that was how it started between the two beautiful women. Dinner went great. They talked about previous cases and the places they had worked, but didn't delve into serious matters. They simply enjoyed each other's company. When Arizona drove them back to the hospital for Addison to pick up her car, she leaned in and kissed the redhead- a slow, toe-curling kiss. The moan that escaped Addison's lips left the blonde craving more.

"Look, I'm going to be honest. I just ended my eleven-year marriage. I'm not interested in anything serious, no matter how great you kiss." Addison admitted, flushed, as she finally pulled back.

"Good. Not the ending of your marriage, but the fact that you're not looking for something serious. I like my schedule as it is and it doesn't allow me a lot of free time. I'm not looking for commitment. I like my life the way it is and I'm not interested in changing anything. How about we have some fun and if something changes for either of us, we can discuss it as it comes?" Arizona suggested, hopeful.

"Sounds good. But no matter how casual we are, I don't share. If you want to go out with someone else, do it, but let me know first. We're coworkers and I don't want unnecessary gossip."

"That's fair. I'll let you know. Will you do the same?" Arizona asked playfully, watching Addison's smirk return.

"Something tells me that I'll have my hands full with you, Dr. Robbins." Addison husked before diving in to kiss the blonde- thoroughly and slowly- earning a groan for her effort. "How about you follow me home and we continue there?" She suggested, her tone dripping with lust. The blonde could only nod eagerly.
