The Technodrome loomed above New York City, a massive, ominous sphere blotting out the sky.

Mikey blinked up at it, his mouth falling open. "I think I speak for all of us when I say—AAAAAAAHHH!!!"

"What the heck is that thing?!" Raph demanded, eyes wide.

Leo's expression was grim. "It's the end of the world."

Donnie, ever the scientist, frowned in thought. "Actually, it's just the end of humanity's reign as the planet's dominant life form. You know, like when the dinosaurs—"

"Now? Really?" Leo shot him an incredulous look. "You're going to do this now?"

Donnie huffed, crossing his arms. "Well, excuse me, but it's how I deal with stress!"

Mari crossed her arms beside him, eyes narrowing at the monstrous sphere. "Well, how about you stress less and focus more on how we're not gonna die?"

Cat, who had been staring in horrified awe, made a strangled sound in the back of her throat. "We're gonna die?!"

"Nobody's dying!" Leo snapped.

Raph squinted up at the hovering fortress. "Well, maybe it doesn't have weapons." He hesitated. "Does it look like it has weapons?"

As if in response, the Technodrome's massive cannon rotated toward them, glowing ominously.

Cat's eyes widened. "Um, I think it—"

A blinding blast of energy fired in their direction.

"—HAS WEAPONS!" she shrieked.

The turtles dove for cover as the Technodrome unleashed a relentless barrage of laser fire. The rooftops burned, explosions erupting all around them. Below, the city streets were thrown into chaos, civilians screaming and fleeing in terror.

Mari grit her teeth as she sprinted alongside Raph. "So much for staying under the radar!"

Leo barely had time to respond before another laser shot narrowly missed them. The impact sent shockwaves through the air, and the team scrambled to stay ahead of the destruction.

Mikey yelped as he was thrown off-balance, crashing directly into Donnie.

"WHOA!"

The two collided midair before tumbling onto a rooftop, limbs tangled.

"Donnie! Mikey!" Leo turned sharply.

Before they could recover, another blast ripped through the ledge beneath them.

"What now?!" Raph barked as the rooftop crumbled.

Mari and Cat barely had time to react before the ground beneath them collapsed. With a shared shout, they plummeted into an alley below, the others crashing down around them.

The impact was rough. Raph groaned as he pushed himself upright, brushing dust off his shell. "Been better."

Donnie stumbled to his feet, shaking his head. "Are you guys all right?"

Cat, still curled on the ground, peeked through her fingers. "Am I dead?"

"No, but you might be if you don't get up," Mari muttered, yanking her to her feet.

Mikey clutched his skull. "Yeah, but my brain is definitely in upside-down mode."

Leo pulled himself together quickly. "We need to talk to Splinter. Come on."

No one argued. The city was falling apart around them, and they needed a plan—fast.

With that, they sprinted toward the lair.

The lair was eerily silent when they arrived.

Leo scanned the room, his gut twisting. "Hello? Sensei?"

Donnie glanced around, concern creeping into his voice. "April?"

"Spike?!" Raph called.

A small head peeked out from behind the couch.

Raph let out a breath of relief and scooped up his pet turtle. "Don't scare me like that, buddy."

Mari crossed her arms, scanning the room. "Where the heck is everybody?"

Cat nervously clung to the edge of her tessen. "You guys, I have a really bad feeling about this."

Mikey hurried toward the dojo, peeking inside. "Anyone in here?"

Silence.

Then, without warning—Kirby O'Neil lunged at him.

"WHOA, DUDE, CHILL!" Mikey yelped, stumbling backward.

Kirby snarled, his movements aggressive, unnatural.

Leo reacted instantly. "Hey!"

Together, the turtles tackled him, pinning him to the floor. Kirby thrashed beneath them, struggling violently.

"What the heck is going on?!" Raph snapped.

"Guys, check this out." Donnie leaned over Kirby and carefully pulled a small device from the back of his neck.

The struggle stopped immediately.

Cat, still gripping her tessen like it was a lifeline, let out a shaky breath. "WHAT was that?!"

Mari frowned, crouching beside Donnie to get a closer look at the device. "Well, that explains the whole 'rage monster' thing."

Later, in the living room, the turtles gathered around as Donnie examined the strange object.

Leo frowned. "So, what is it?"

Donnie turned it over in his hands. "I think it's a mind-control device."

Raph raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

Before anyone could stop him, he reached over and tried to slap it onto Cat's neck.

Cat's eyes widened in horror. "NOPE—" She shrieked and scrambled away, nearly tripping over the couch.

Raph smirked. "What? Just making sure it still works."

Cat frantically swatted at him. "ARE YOU INSANE?! What if it DID work?!"

Mari scoffed. "Then we'd just turn it off after laughing at you for a few hours."

Cat gaped. "I HATE YOU."

"Yeah, yeah, you say that now," Raph said, tossing the device onto the table.

A groan from the couch pulled their attention back to Kirby, who blinked blearily as he came to.

Donnie crouched beside him. "Mr. O'Neil? Are you okay?"

Kirby let out a shaky breath, his face clouded with guilt. "I've done something terrible."

Donnie shook his head. "It wasn't your fault, Mr. O'Neil. Just tell us what happened."

Kirby's expression darkened. "The Kraang... they've formed an alliance with your enemy, the Shredder."

Silence fell over the room.

Leo's fists clenched. "That's not all, is it?"

Kirby swallowed hard. "I fear the Shredder has handed April over to them."

Donnie went stiff. "What?" His voice was barely a whisper. "Shredder... kidnapped April?"

Leo's stomach twisted.

Raph's expression hardened. "Sensei must've gone after her."

Mari tensed, her fists clenching. "That absolute bastard."

Donnie inhaled sharply, trying to force down his panic. "Where is she now?"

Kirby's hands curled into fists. "They're taking her... to the Technodrome."

Cat gasped. "No, no, no—she's up THERE?!"

Mikey flopped onto the couch, groaning. "Dudes, this is getting freakier by the minute."

Raph let out a frustrated growl. "We just escaped that freaky sphere, and now we gotta break into it?!"

Mari huffed. "Great. Love that for us."

Kirby's face was grim. "In a matter of hours, the world we once knew will be gone. The Kraang want April to help in their conquest of Earth."

A news broadcast suddenly flickered onto the TV screen.

Carlos Chang O'Brien Gambe's frantic voice filled the room.

"Carlos Chang O'Brien Gambe here. Pandemonium in the streets as a techno-terror-dome hovers over downtown!"

Cat buried her face in her hands. "Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I am NOT okay with this."

Leo stared at the screen, his grip tightening around his swords.

"We're getting her back," he said, his voice steady.

The city was in chaos.

Carlos Chang O'Brien Gambe's panicked voice blared over the airwaves.

"Run for your ever-lovin' lives, because they're abducting us! That's right—men, women, children—even pets aren't safe!"

Above the streets, massive Kraang pods hovered like mechanical parasites, descending upon the helpless citizens. Robotic arms extended from the pods, latching onto their targets and lifting them into the sky.

Panicked screams echoed through the city.

Kraang droids hovered through the wreckage, their lifeless monotone voices cutting through the mayhem.

"Kraang must collect human specimens for Kraang."

Hidden behind an overturned car, the six turtles crouched low, watching the chaos unfold. Alarms blared, bright lights flashed across the ruined city, and Kraang droids marched in sync as civilians were helplessly dragged into containment pods.

Leo's mind raced. They needed to get inside that ship. Fast.

"We gotta get in one of those pods," he said, his voice low and urgent.

Donnie frowned. "But how? There are eight Kraang droids between us and the nearest one."

Leo assessed the battlefield. "We could create a diversion."

Raph crossed his arms. "Excuse me—how many did you say there were?"

Leo sighed. "Eight."

Mikey perked up. "Ooh! We could all dress up like robots and sneak in!"

Cat, who had been nervously clutching the edges of her tessen, perked up. "Wait, that could actually work! If we—"

Mari smacked a hand against Cat's head, deadpanning. "No."

Donnie pinched the bridge of his nose. "Or I could try to override their security codes and—"

Before he could finish, Raph surged forward.

With a single, well-placed punch, he knocked out a Kraang droid and immediately grabbed the now-unoccupied pod.

Leo blinked. "...Or that might work."

Raph smirked. "What can I say? I'm efficient."

Mari snorted. "Yeah, efficiently reckless."

Leo shook his head but motioned for them to move. "Let's go."

One by one, the turtles climbed into the pod, squeezing together just as the mechanical arms sealed them inside.

The ride was unsettling.

Through the pod's glass walls, they could see the devastation below—helpless civilians floating in containment cells, their frightened faces illuminated by neon blue lights.

The Technodrome loomed ahead, its massive, spherical frame humming with alien energy. The closer they got, the more ominous it became.

Leo's grip on his katanas tightened. "Okay, guys. This is it. On three. One... two... three—"

The pod doors hissed open.

Instantly, gravity vanished.

Their limbs flailed as they were thrown into zero gravity, floating weightlessly in midair.

"What the heck is going on?!" Raph barked, twisting in place.

Mikey flipped upside-down, eyes wide with excitement. "I think the Kraang forgot to pay their gravity bill!"

Cat let out a high-pitched squeak, flapping her arms as she spun in circles. "I HATE THIS! I HATE THIS!"

Mari, on the other hand, adjusted quickly, using her momentum to kick off a nearby panel and stabilize herself. "This is so weird."

Donnie examined their surroundings, his fingers adjusting the settings on his wrist console. "It appears the Kraang have generated anti-gravitons."

Leo groaned. "Is there any way for you to generate anti-anti-gravitons?"

Donnie blinked. "You mean gravitons?"

"Yes."

"No."

Leo let out a slow breath. "Great."

Mikey clutched his stomach. "Guys, I'm gonna throw up. Or down. Or maybe sideways." He wobbled, looking queasy. "But one thing's for sure—I'm majorly gonna throw—"

He smacked face-first into a containment pod.

Cat, still wildly flailing, managed to kick Mikey off her. "DON'T PUKE NEAR ME!"

Mari rolled her eyes. "We still have a job to do—let's go."

Using their weapons and surrounding structures to maneuver, the turtles pushed forward, gliding carefully through the gravity-free corridors.

Mikey kicked off a nearby control panel, sending himself spinning. "Yo, zero-g is banging! The Kraang should turn this into a carnival ride."

Leo deadpanned. "I think they're more interested in using it to destroy the Earth."

Mikey shrugged. "It could do both."

That's when they heard it.

A scream.

A familiar voice echoed through the Technodrome's vast chamber.

Donnie's eyes widened. "It's April!"

Raph shot him an unimpressed look. "Can you say that a little louder? I don't think the entire Technodrome heard you."

A mechanical beep sounded from above.

Raph's expression darkened.

"Never mind," he muttered. "They did."

The turtles turned as Kraang droids whirred to life, their glowing eyes locking onto them.

Weapons activated.

Alarms blared.

Leo exhaled sharply, gripping his swords.

They had been spotted.

"Get ready."

And with that, they charged.

Deep Within the Technodrome

April O'Neil writhed against the restraints holding her in place. Tubes connected to her arms, pulsing with an eerie glow as the Kraang's machine drained her blood, drop by drop. Her heart pounded, her breaths coming in short gasps as the energy being siphoned from her fueled something far more terrifying.

Above her, Kraang Prime loomed, its massive robotic form twitching as its mechanical voice reverberated through the chamber.

"Yes. Yes! It's working!"

The massive, cyclopean eye of the Technodrome pulsed, its glow intensifying with each drop extracted.

Across the upper levels of the chamber, the six turtles fought their way through wave after wave of Kraang droids, weapons flashing in the flickering red light of the alarms.

Leo barely dodged a laser blast, his heart hammering. He stole a glance down below, stomach twisting at the sight of April strapped to the machine.

"That can't be good," he muttered.

He pushed forward, slicing through another Kraang soldier. They had to get to her—now.

The battle intensified.

Mikey twisted midair, throwing his nunchucks at a droid's head. Raph barreled through another group, tossing them aside like scrap metal. Donnie covered the rear, his staff striking with calculated precision.

Mari moved swiftly alongside Leo, slicing through a Kraang droid with her tanto before kicking another into the control console. Sparks erupted.

Cat, however, was struggling. She swung her tessen, barely managing to deflect a laser shot before tripping over floating debris.

A scream rang out.

April.

Raph didn't hesitate. He grabbed a nearby hatch, forcing it open.

"Move!"

One by one, the turtles dropped down into the chamber below.

The sight made their blood run cold.

April was still trapped, her face pale, the machine glowing ominously around her.

Kraang Prime's massive robotic form straightened, its mechanical arms twitching.

"April O'Neil," it droned, its voice devoid of emotion. "Your mind belongs to Kraang. Soon, your world will be ours. Let the planetary mutation begin. Witness the end of your kind."

Leo gritted his teeth, stepping forward.

"Not if we can help it."

Kraang Prime's head swiveled toward them, its red eye flashing ominously.

"The turtles?" It let out a slow, rumbling chuckle. "Kraang will not be stopped by pathetic mutants."

Mikey scoffed. "At least we're not stupid aliens!"

Cat, still catching her breath, added weakly, "Y-Yeah! What he said!"

Kraang Prime's eye flashed brighter.

"Raph, quick!" Leo ordered.

Without hesitation, Raph launched himself forward and delivered a devastating kick to Kraang Prime's face, forcing it backward.

Donnie rushed to April's side, fingers flying over the control panel.

The locks hissed as they released.

April let out a shaky breath as she slumped forward, blinking in disoriented relief.

She turned to Donnie, offering a weak smile.

"You're my hero."

Donnie's face turned an instant shade of red.

Before he could even react, Mari scoffed. "Oh my God, she said what?"

"Shut up, Mari!" Donnie hissed, his brain nearly short-circuiting.

Raph grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back to reality. "Hey, chuckles, we gotta go!"

Donnie nodded quickly, helping April onto his back.

The ground trembled.

The massive eye of the Technodrome flared to life.

With a deep, earth-shaking roar, Kraang Prime's entire robotic frame surged upright.

The turtles sprinted through the collapsing corridors, their weapons slicing through the relentless waves of Kraang droids. Donnie carried April on his back, struggling to keep up as the ground shook beneath them.

The Technodrome groaned, tilting violently.

They were running out of time.

Mikey glanced over his shoulder, eyes wide with desperation. "Leo, I have a question!"

"Can it wait?" Leo huffed, slashing through another droid.

"Not really," Mikey admitted. "Did we beat that big Kraang thingie?"

Leo didn't hesitate. "Yes, Mikey, we did."

Mikey let out a breath of relief. "Okay. Then why is it following us?"

Leo snapped his head up just in time to see Kraang Prime barreling toward them, mechanical limbs smashing through walls in pursuit.

The answer was clear.

They hadn't beaten it.

Not yet.

Kraang Prime fired another laser, narrowly missing them as they turned a corner.

"There's one last escape pod up ahead!" Donnie shouted.

Mikey was the first to sprint toward it—but in his rush, he slipped, tumbling forward.

"MIKEY!" Cat shrieked.

He barely had time to react before the laser fired again.

Leo's instincts took over.

He lunged forward, slicing through the Kraang's weapon in one clean motion.

"Get away from my brother!" Leo roared.

Mikey scrambled to his feet, heart pounding.

Mari grabbed his arm, yanking him up roughly. "Don't scare me like that, dumbass!" But there was a tremble in her voice.

Leo turned to the others. "Hurry—get to the pod!"

They ran.

The pod was within reach.

Then—

A deafening crash.

A massive mechanical tentacle slammed in front of them, blocking their path.

Kraang Prime's voice filled the chamber.

"There is nowhere for you to run, mutants."

Leo's stomach churned.

"Leo!" Donnie shouted. "We have to go!"

Kraang Prime loomed over them, gears whirring, its massive body preparing to strike.

"All of you will die here!" it boomed.

Leo's mind raced.

Leo turned, grabbing a thick chain from the wall.

In one swift motion, he swung it around Kraang Prime's neck, using all his strength to hold the towering beast back.

The strain was immediate. The force of Kraang Prime's movements nearly lifted him off the ground.

"Leo!" Raph shouted.

Leo's eyes burned with determination. "No. Get out of here! Now!"

Raph hesitated. "What are you talking about?!"

"You can't do this, dude!" Mikey protested.

Mari's stomach dropped. "Don't be an idiot, Leo!"

Cat's breath hitched. "No, no, no—Leo, please!"

Leo's grip tightened. "GO! I can't hold it back any longer!"

Raph clenched his fists, torn between instinct and command.

But Mari wasn't moving.

She stood rooted to the ground, her fists clenched, her entire body trembling with rage.

"You don't get to make that call, Leo!" she shouted. "You don't get to decide who sacrifices what!"

Leo's face twisted with guilt, but he didn't falter. "Mari, please."

She growled, turning sharply to Donnie. "Get that force field down! I'll cover Leo!"

Donnie's eyes widened in alarm. "Mari, no—"

But she was already gripping her tanto, stepping forward.

"Like hell you're staying here!" Raph snapped.

Before Mari could react, Donnie grabbed her arm and Raph yanked her back.

"LET ME GO!" she snarled, thrashing violently.

"No way in hell!" Raph gritted his teeth, struggling to keep hold of her.

Mari kicked, punching at him, desperate to fight.

"You don't get to leave us behind!" she shouted at Leo, her voice cracking.

Donnie wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pinning her back, his voice pained. "Mari, we have to go!"

Mari screamed in frustration, thrashing against them—but they wouldn't let go.

Leo turned away, forcing himself to ignore her voice.

"Get her out of here," he ordered, knowing Mari wouldn't go by choice.

Raph and Donnie forced Mari toward the pod, shoving her inside before she could retaliate.

But then—

Cat stood frozen, her whole body shaking, staring at Leo with wide, tear-filled eyes.

Leo's stomach dropped.

"Cat," he said softly.

She didn't respond.

Mikey rushed to her, gently grabbing her arm. "Cat, come on, we gotta go!"

She didn't budge.

Her lips parted, her voice barely above a whisper.

"But we're supposed to stick together..."

Mikey's chest ached. "I know."

Leo looked at her, his face softening despite the weight of the chains in his hands.

"You'll be okay," he promised.

A tear slipped down Cat's cheek.

Mikey had no choice.

"Sorry, Cat," he whispered.

Then, before she could react, he grabbed her and hoisted her up, dragging her toward the pod.

Cat didn't fight.

She was too stunned.

The doors began to seal.

The last thing Cat saw was Leo standing tall, the firelight reflecting in his eyes.

Then the doors slammed shut.

Leo watched as his siblings—and April—were launched out of the Technodrome.

For a single, agonizing second, everything was silent.

Then—

The Technodrome shuddered.

Leo barely had time to brace himself before the entire structure collapsed, sinking into the ocean.

The escape pod splashed into the sea, rocking from the force of impact.

Inside, no one moved.

No one spoke.

It was Donnie who finally whispered the words that no one wanted to say.

"I can't believe it."

Mikey stared at the water, his entire body trembling.

"We made it," Donnie continued.

But there was no victory in his voice.

Mikey's lips parted.

His voice cracked.

"Leo."

A silence so heavy it felt suffocating.

"No," Mikey breathed. His hands clenched into fists. "No. I can't believe he's gone."

Donnie turned away, his throat tight.

April's eyes were red, silent tears trailing down her face.

Mari sat in the corner, gripping her weapon so tightly

Cat was curled into herself, silent.

Raph sat apart from them all, staring down at his hands.

He let out a shaky breath.

"I gave him nothing but a hard time," he muttered, voice barely above a whisper. "If I had to do it all over again... I'd definitely be nicer."

A familiar voice spoke up behind him.

"Really?"

Raph froze.

Slowly, he turned.

Leo pulled himself up onto the pod, soaked, battered, but alive.

Raph's eyes widened. "Leo?!"

A beat of stunned silence.

Then, without thinking, Raph lunged forward, yanking him into a hug.

"Leo, you dork!" His voice shook. "You scared the heck out of us!"

Leo let out a weak laugh. "Yeah... sorry about that."

Mikey practically tackled them both. "We won!" he cheered. "Oh, man, I love you guys."

Before Leo could fully react, Mari slugged him hard in the arm.

"You absolute idiot!" she snapped, her voice shaking. "I should throw you back in the ocean!"

Leo winced. "Ow—Mari—"

She suddenly grabbed his plastron and yanked him into a hug.

"...Don't ever do that again," she muttered.

Leo hesitated—then smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her.

Cat hadn't moved.

Leo turned to her, his heart twisting when he saw her tear-streaked face.

"Cat—"

She didn't say a word.

She just launched herself at him, sobbing.

Leo caught her, holding her tight.

Above them, the sky began to clear.

Below them, the world had been saved.

Later that night, the lair buzzed with energy, the weight of battle finally lifting. Laughter bounced off the walls, warmth filling the space that had once held nothing but tension.

Mikey, ever the showman, climbed onto the couch, arms stretched wide, a grin brighter than the string lights flickering overhead.

"Who saved the world?" he shouted.

Across from him, Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mari, and Cat exchanged tired but amused looks.

"We saved the world," they chanted, their voices carrying through the lair.

Mikey cupped a hand around his ear. "I said—who saved the world?!"

The response was louder this time. "We saved the world!"

Mikey, grinning, took in a dramatic breath. "I sa—"

"STOP ASKING!" Raph barked, launching a pillow at him.

Mikey caught it with a theatrical oof! but merely hugged it to his chest, undeterred. "We saved the world," he muttered contently.

Near the dojo entrance, April hesitated before stepping toward Splinter. He sat in quiet reflection, his fingers gently running over the edges of a worn photograph. The faded image showed a happier time—before everything had been taken from him.

April swallowed. "Sensei, I... I want to apologize for how I spoke to you earlier."

Splinter didn't look up at first. His gaze remained on the picture, the ghost of old grief passing through his features. Then, with a deep breath, he finally met her eyes.

"There is no need," he said gently. "You spoke what was in your heart. I am just relieved you made it home safely."

Leo stepped forward, frowning as he took in his sensei's expression. "What's wrong, Sensei?"

Splinter exhaled, setting the photo beside him.

"I learned some things from the Shredder."

Leo tensed instantly. "Like what?"

Splinter shook his head. "That is a conversation for another time, Leonardo. Tonight is for celebration. After all, it is not every day one makes the world safe from an alien invasion."

Leo hesitated, but at his father's insistence, he let it go. Just for tonight.

Mikey wasted no time jumping back onto the couch, arms shooting up. "You got that right! Everybody, who saved the world?"

The response came instantly, unified.

"Mikey," the turtles, April, and Kirby groaned.

Mikey beamed. "We saved the world!"

And just like that, the tension dissolved.
