Serena slowly opened her eyes, only to quickly shut them back, as she was nearly blinded by the bright light. She groaned in pain, not only from her eyes, but from her entire body. She felt like she was run over by a train.

Her groaning and shifting indicated that she was awake, and the person in the room approached her bed. "Are you awake?" A voice Serena recognized as Ash's, asked.

She opened her eyes again, though not fully, and tried to adjust to the light. She was seeing spots, and the vision was not clear, but she was able to recognize Ash's shape above her. "W-What happened?" She groaned out.

"What do you remember?" Ash asked back.

Serena shifted a little more, and raised her hands to rub her eyes, before she was finally able to completely open them, though she was still blinking more than usual.

"I remember we were near a Lake," Serena spoke. "There was a Giant Claydol, then there was a battle. It looked like we were able to win… but then there was some bright light around Claydol, and then some green light, and then… nothing."

"You have slight concussion," Ash said. "As well as some bruises all over your body, so you will have some pain and maybe memory issues for a little while, but you will mostly be fine."

"What happened," Serena asked again, while looking around? "And where are we? Is this a hospital?"

"Yes, this is a hospital," Ash said. "We are back in Purika City. I brought you here along with May, Max and Sigourney, as you were all injured."

"What has that… 'thing' done?" Serena asked.

"If you are referring to the Giant Claydol," Ash spoke and Serena nodded. "It used Explosion, after it realized that it was defeated. I guess it wanted to take you all out by doing that, so there would be no real winner."

"I think I remember," Serena said, while thinking back to that moment. "That was the white light. Right?"

"Yes." Ash said.

"And the green light I saw," Serena asked again. "What was that?"

"That was me," Ash said, getting a raised eyebrows from Serena. "I saw what was happening from the other side of the Lake, and I managed to create a barrier around the area where the explosion was about to occur. By doing that, I was able to save all of your lives, because that explosion was brutal. The barrier held all the force of the explosion inside of it, thus the Giant Claydol was obliterated. Unfortunately, the barrier couldn't handle the explosion AND the shockwave, which broke it, and then spread around, hitting you, May, Max and Sigourney. You were all sent flying and were injured in the process.

"I was farther away from the explosion, so the shockwave didn't affect me. Once the barrier broke, I run to all of you and found you all unconscious on the ground. I brought you all here right away, and you've all been here ever since."

Serena nodded. She couldn't believe what has happened and that she has once again, ended up in a hospital bed, barely few months after the long stay she had while in Petalburg City, and that's just after she was finally able to completely recover from the whipping.

"How bad are my injuries," Serena asked? "And where are May and Max?"

"As I said, you have some bruises from the fall and the roll," Ash said. "You all rolled several meters on the ground after you were thrown backwards. This caused all of you to suffer bruising all over your bodies, and some muscle damage, but nothing serious, like bone breaking or something like that. Of the four of you, you were the most injured, as you have a concussion. You hit your head hard on the ground when you fell. That's why you are still in the hospital, while May, Max and Sigourney were let out a while ago."

Serena looked at Ash for a moment, before she rubbed her head. She was having a headache on top of all the pain on the rest of her body, so yeah, she was not feeling well. "How long has it been since I was brought here?" Serena asked.

"Ten days." Ash replied, getting a wide-eyed look from Serena.

"You can't be serious." She said.

"Unfortunately, I am," Ash said. "As I said. You have a concussion. That's not an easy fix. You still have some symptoms, even after 10 days."

Serena sighed. "How long will I stay here?" She asked.

"Few more days, at least." Ash said. "You were in a coma for 10 days. You can't really expect to be let out of the hospital as soon as you woke up."

"B-But what about the last gym battle," Serena asked? "Will we make it in time to get that badge, by the time the League starts?"

"There is still a little over a month and a half until the tournament starts, so we still have time to get our final badge and get to the tournament." Ash said with a smile on his face, so that he can ease Serena's worries.

Serena sighed in relief. She would have really hated it if she has to miss the tournament after all the battles and training she did with her Pokemon. It would be a big disappointment for all of them.

"What now?" She asked.

"Now, I'll go and call a doctor, to come a check you out," Ash said. "I'll also tell May and Max that you are awake, so they can come in here."

Serena nodded, before Ash started walking toward the door of the hospital room. Then, she remembered something. "Wait, how did you bring all of us here by yourself?" She asked.

Ash turned to look at Serena and smirked. "I was able to pull a new technique," Ash said. "It was the first time I've done it, but I'm glad I was able to do it when I did. If I didn't I would have had to call Mewtwo and Alakazam to help me bring you here."

"What technique did you use?" Serena asked.

Ash smiled at her.

During the ten days that Serena was in a coma, Ash has spent his time either at her side, or going around the island to explore it. When he was away from Serena, May and Max were with her, watching over her in case she wakes up.

Because of what happened at the Izabe Lake, the Pokemon League was informed and some representatives came to investigate the incident. They were informed of what happened, and Serena and May were awarded the 'White Star'. It's a reward given by the Pokemon League to trainers who have done great service to the people, while placing their own lives and safety on the line to do it. May, Serena and Ash were the ones who sent their Pokemon to battle against the Giant Claydol, but only May and Serena were given the rewards because Ash is an Aura Guardian, so it's his job to stop threats like this, without being given any special recognition for it. Since Serena was in a coma, Ash was given the White Star, and he was to give it to Serena after she wakes up.

After that, the League representatives left, with the promise that the league will take care of the damage around the Izabe Lake caused by the battle, and then the Explosion caused by the Giant Claydol.

For the next week, Ash has visited several places around the Izabe Island, with May or Max going with him, one at the time, so that they can see the island, but also so that at least one of them will always be around Serena, just in case.

Among the places that Ash visited - this one alone - is an underground labyrinth, where he found and captured two dozen Trapinch's, which he then sent to the PPA. He did give one to Max, though, as he was sure that the boy would want to have a Flygon, one day.

He was right, as Max was very happy.

Another place that Ash visited - this one with May - was a Riyado Town, where they ended up saving the whole place with the help from Absol, who warned them that there is a threat, while the people in the town spent all their lives believing that the Absol is the one bringing the calamities on them, when in fact, it was only warning them of the danger.

While exploring with Max one day, Ash and Max found Ralts, and Max quickly became friends with it, and in the end, he caught it. This Ralts lived with Gardevoir and Kirlia, though, and they didn't want to live Ralts to go with Max, so in the end, it was agreed that Gardevoir and Kirlia will go and live in PPA, where they can be close to Ralts, who will live in Pallet Town as Max will live in Pallet Town when he is not on his journey.

Ash has also caught a Pokemon for himself. He wasn't that interested in the Trapinch line, but when he run into Snorunt, he wanted him, and in the end he caught him.

By the time Serene awoke from the coma, Ash, May and Max have explored most of the island, and can leave as soon as Serena is ready to travel again. They knew that Serena didn't explore the island, but they are sure that when choosing between exploring one island and getting on time for the Pokemon League, Serena would chose the latter.

It took another ten days before Serena's health was good enough so she could be released from the hospital. Immediately after she was let out, the gang left the Izabe Island and went to the Sootopolis City, which is on the next island, so it's not that far. They got there that same day, in the late afternoon hours.

Seeing as it was already late in the afternoon, the gang decided to head to the gym the next day, while the remaining of that day, was spent looking around the Sootopolis City.

They did manage to see Juan, the Sootopolis Gym Leader, and a Water Type Pokemon trainer, who is also an accomplished coordinator. He was giving a show for the people of the Sootopolis City, and the gang saw it all. They were all impressed by the beauty of the moves and the Pokemon that Juan presented for everyone.

Later in the evening, while Serena, May and Max were in the rooms in the Pokemon Center, Ash was in the lobby, talking on his Pokedex with Shelly.

"Have you arrived in the Rota Kingdom?" Ash asked her.

"I did," she said. "I've met with Urahara and your father. They are suspicious of me."

"Well you worked for the enemy organization until three weeks ago," Ash said. "You can't really blame them for not trusting you, especially Urahara, as he knows better than anyone the kind of woman you have worked for."

"I know." Shelly sighed.

"Tell me about these new people who are shadowing us?" Ash asked, and Shelly explained.

"They are nothing much, from what I know," Shelly said. "They are not meant to engage you and your friends in any way. They are just meant to follow you and spy on you, and then send any information to the HQ. That as far as their job goes, at least for now. It might change in the future. As for who they are, well, they are the former members of the Team Magma, which were with Courtney when they escaped from the Team Magma's ship. They saw from the distance what happened on the Monsu Island and escaped from there without even bothering to come to the island itself. When Courtney returned to the Shadow Legion HQ, she brought them all with her, and they joined. There were about half a dozen of them, and two of them are the ones following you. A male in his early twenties with white hair, and a girl, also in early twenties, with shoulder-length blue hair. Their names are Blaise and Ann."

"What about their skill level as trainers?" Ash asked.

"They are not bad," Shelly shrugged. "They've got some descent Pokemon, but not at the level that we Admins were, when I was a member of Team Aqua and Courtney a member of Team Magma. Still, they are a threat to some normal trainers, but I doubt they would be a threat to your friends, and especially you."

"Good," Ash said with a nod. "Now, I said to Urahara and dad that you will share with them the same information's that you did with me and that you will not lie them, or hide anything. That being said… don't lie to them, and don't hide anything from them, otherwise…" Ash left it unsaid in the end, but there was no need to say anything else. Shelly knew perfectly well that if she betrays Ash, she will pay.

"Don't worry, I'll tell them everything," Shelly said. "I won't betray you like I did the Queen. If I betray you as well, there won't be a single place in the world where I would be able to go, where either your family or the organization, won't be able to find me."

Ash smirked. "I'm glad you understand that." He said, before he hung up the Pokedex, and then went to sleep.

The Sootopolis Gym is by far the largest and the best looking gym that Ash, Serena, May and Max have ever visited.

"Damn, this place is big." Max commented as he and the others stood in front of the entrance to the grounds of the Sootopolis Palace.

"Yeah, it is." Ash said as he looked around, but he didn't seem as impressed by the grounds and the palace, as much as the others were.

"You don't look impressed?" May questioned.

"Cameran Palace in the Rota Kingdom is bigger," Ash said. "The grounds are also larger, so while this place is impressive, I've already seen other places which are just as impressive, or even better."

"Cameran Palace is more of a castle then a palace, Ash." Serena said. She has been to the Rota Kingdom and seen the palace/castle, so she knows what she is talking about.

"Yeah, but it's still called a palace, so I'll consider it a palace when comparing it to other palaces." Ash said.

After that, the gang approached to the gate, where they were greeted by an older man, who introduced himself as, Sebastian. He is a butler of the Sootopolis Gym.

Sebastian led the gang inside of the gym, where they met Juan, after which, Ash and Serena challenged him to a gym battle.

XXX

The gym itself it very large. The battlefield is in fact a big swimming pool. On the side of the pool, there is a referee box, while the challenger and the gym leader boxes, are platforms raised from the ground at the north and south parts of the pool. On one side of the gym, there are several rows of bleachers, where a large number of people can sit and watch the matches, or shows when Juan performs.

It was decided that the first to challenge Juan, will be Serena, and Ash's battle will come later. As such, Juan and Serena stood on the platforms, while Ash, May and Max, went to the bleachers and set there to watch the match.

Sebastian, on top of being the butler of the gym, turned out to be a referee as well, as he stood on the referee's platform and announced the match. "This gym battle between the gym leader Juan, and his challenger Serena Gomez from Vaniville Town in the Kalos Region, will now begin!

"Each trainer will use five Pokemon. For the first round, they will both use two of their five Pokemon, and then engage in a double battle."

This came as a surprise for Serena, and the others, as they weren't expecting it. None of them have ever been in a gym where they had to use five Pokemon, and on top of that, it seems that the battles don't follow the usual protocol of one-on-one, and two-on-two, at least not completely.

"The first round will be over when both of either the gym leaders, or the challengers Pokemon, are unable to continue," Sebastian continued. "And for the second round, they will use their remaining Pokemon. The second round will be one-on-one battle, and will be over when all of either participants Pokemon are unable to continue battling. During the match, only the challenger is allowed to substitute their Pokemon."

"This battle is going to be tough," Max commented from the bleachers. "I don't think that I have ever seen or heard of a gym with so many different rules."

"I like this," Ash said with a smile. "It will truly test Serena and Me, as well as our Pokemon, to see if we are ready for the Hoenn League Championship. Besides, as the final gym, it's supposed to be tougher than the previous ones."

"The trainers consumed with the desire to enter the Hoenn League Championship, must first be able to adapt to constantly changing circumstances, in the face of any challenge, like water" Juan explained from his position. "Now, let's see the magnitude of your desire, Serena."

Serena frowned. This was going to be tough.

"Lets us now begin," Juan yelled, as he released his Pokemon for the first round! "Go, Sealeo! Number two, Seaking, let's go!"

Juan chose his first two Pokemon for the first round, and now waited for Serena to choose her two Pokemon.

Serena thought for a few moments on which Pokemon to use from the ones she has with her, and in the end she decided to go with… "Crawdaunt, Kirlia, you are up!" Serena released her two Pokemon for the first round.

Juan looked at the two Pokemon Serena chose for the first round, and raised his eyebrow. "I got to say, I'm surprised," Juan said. "I can't remember the last time I battled against a challenger who hasn't used either an Electric or a Grass Type Pokemon."

"I don't have any Grass Type Pokemon," Serena shrugged. "And while I do have some Electric, I doubt they will work as well as they should against your Pokemon. You wouldn't be considered the strongest gym leader in the Hoenn Region, if you didn't find a way to deal with your Pokémon's weakness against the Electric attacks."

Juan smirked at this. "I'm happy that there are still trainers out there with common sense," he said. "Trainers come here, flailing their electric types thinking that they will have an easy win, but in most cases, they lose… badly."

"Well, I learned that type advantage isn't everything." Serena said.

With both trainers choosing their Pokemon, the battle started.

Serena started the battle first by telling her Kirlia to use Future Sight, while her Crawdaunt was to use Swift and target both opponents.

For a moment, Kirlia's eyes and body glowed light blue, before the glow vanished, but nothing happened. As for Crawdaunt, he fired a bunch of yellow stars from his pincer, which hit Sealeo and Seaking.

Juan's Pokemon weren't too injured by the Swift Attack, and got back in the battle. Juan told his Sealeo to use Blizzard, which the Pokemon did, and covered the whole gym in the snowy blizzard, which started to freeze everything, and made May and Max shiver in cold. Ash seemed unaffected as he just observed the battle.

Serena told her Kirlia to use Psybeam at Sealeo, and Kirlia fired a multicolored beam from the ball he created in between his hands.

Before the Psybeam could hit Sealeo, Seaking appeared in front of it, and blocked Kirlia's attack with Horn Drill, before it fired it back at Crawdaunt. Neither Serena nor Crawdaunt expected this, so they didn't react and Crawdaunt was hit by Psybeam.

Crawdaunt was confused because of the attack, as he shook his head left and right. Just then, a wind started to blow around the arena, dispersing the Blizzard, before a sphere of rainbow colored energy came out of nowhere and struck the Seaking, who was sent at the bottom of the pool, while the water from the pool exploded outwards, and showered on the other three Pokemon.

When the water from the pool fell on Crawdaunt, it managed to clear him out of his confused state, much to Serena's relief. Serena then went and told him to use Dark Pulse. Crawdaunt pointed his claws at Sealeo and fired two beams of purple and black rings of energy from the insides of his claws.

Sealeo countered this with Aurora Beam, firing a rainbow colored beam from its mouth. The two attacks clashed, and caused an explosion above the pool.

Right after, Seaking came out from the pool, and Juan told it to use Hyper Beam. Just as the water type fired the attack, Serena told her Crawdaunt to counter it with Crabhammer. Crawdaunt's pincer glowed white, and then he punched at the Hyper Beam, dispersing it into the ether. Right away, Serena told Kirlia to use Hypnosis on Seaking. Kirlia's irises glowed red, before Seaking's eyes glowed red, and the water type fell asleep.

This was followed by Kirlia using a Psybeam, which hit Seaking and ended its battle for the day, leaving Juan with only Sealeo.

Wanting to get back in the match, Juan told his Sealeo to use Ice Ball, over and over again. The reason for that is because the Ice Ball, while slow to create, gets more powerful ever next use. It's kind of the opposite of the Overheat, which gets weaker after every use. In Juan's case though, he trained his Sealeo to create Ice Balls very quickly, so it was able to fire them much faster than Serena expected.

Sealeo created an extremely large Ice Ball, which Serena tried to counter by telling her Crawdaunt to use Night Slash. Bad move though, as Crawdaunt wasn't powerful enough to counter a seventh Ice Ball created by Sealeo, which was powerful enough to take out both Crawdaunt and Kirlia, if it hit them. But, because Crawdaunt used Night Slash on the Ice Ball, he was right in front of it when the ball broke through his attack, and hit him, while Kirlia was away, and safe.

With Crawdaunt taken out, both trainers were left with only one Pokemon each, but Serena as a challenger has the right to send a new Pokemon after one of hers were defeated. Still, Serena didn't want to do that. She wanted to be at the same playing field as Juan, and defeat him when they were equal, so she chose to stay with her Kirlia only.

Juan smiled at Serena. He has battled many trainers, good and bad, but none have ever decided to discard their advantage like this, and fight him at the same level. He was happy that there is someone like Serena, who wants to get her badge, but not because she was given an advantage, but because she was truly better than her opponent.

The battle restarted when Kirlia fired a Psybeam, but was countered by Sealeo's Aurora Beam. Then Sealeo fired another Ice Ball, this one even more powerful than the one that took Crawdaunt out of the battle, but Kirlia used Teleport, and appeared right in front of Sealeo, who hasn't expected this, and was caught in Kirlia's Hypnosis, thus falling asleep right there on the platform on the middle of the pool.

With both of Juan's Pokemon defeated, the first round was over.

XXX

With the first round over, the battlefield changed, and instead of a pool, it was a mixture of a pool and land.

In the first match of the second round, Juan sent his Luvdisc, while Serena decided to go with her Magnetone.

Serena started the round with her Magneton using Thunder Shock, but Luvdisc used Safeguard, to save herself from being shocked. Then Juan went with Water Gun, and Luvdisc landed the first hit on her opponent.

Magneton got back up, and Serena told it to use, Tackle. Luvdisc dodged it, and then used Water Pulse, but Magneton dodged as well.

Then, Serena went with Charge Beam, making Magneton fire a massive blast of electricity from its body, but Luvdisc dodged again, this time by jumping out of the water, and onto the ground. Serena used this chance to try and get to Luvdisc, so she told her Magneton to use Spark.

Magneton glowed yellow for a moment, before it charged at Luvdisc with sparks of electricity dancing around its body. Finally, Magneton hit Luvdisc, and caused her to become paralyzed.

Serena ended the battle by telling her Magneton to use Zap Cannon. Magneton fired a large blast of white Electricity at the paralyzed Luvdisc, who couldn't do anything, and was hit, before she was sent into the water, shocking her even more.

Few moments later, Luvdisc floated back on the surface, but was passed out with swirls in her eyes.

Juan returned his defeated Luvdisc, and sent his Whiscash.

Seeing this Pokemon, Serena knew that it was part Ground Type, so it was completely immune to electric attacks and has resistance against Steel Type attacks. Still, she decided to stay with her Magneton, as she has taught it other moves on top of the electric and steel attacks that it knows.

Serena started with Tri Attack, making Magneton fire a white triangle of energy at Whiscash, who used Surf, to ride on the wave, which blocked and neutralized the Tri Attack.

Then, Juan told his Pokemon to use Rock Smash, and Whiscash's body glowed yellow, before Whiscash lifted itself from the water, and fell toward Magneton.

Serena told her Pokemon to use Swift on the falling Whiscash, and it did, dealing it some damage, but not enough to stop the fall, making Whiscash fall right on top of Magneton and flatten in on the ground.

Once Whiscash moved from Magneton, it was revealed that Magneton was defeated, ending the round in Juan's favor.

Serena returned her Magneton, before she chose her next Pokemon. She has lost Crawdaunt and now Magneton, and Kirlia was a bit tired, so she decided on a new Pokemon. She chose, Marshtomp.

As a Water/Ground Type, Marshtomp is on the same playing field as Whiscash, so Serena reasoned that he would be better choice than one of the other Pokemon she has with her.

Juan started the round by telling his Whiscash to use Surf and Rock Smash, a combination which worked earlier, so he decided to try it again.

This time though, it didn't work, as Marshtomp used Hydro Pump to hit Whiscash when it was falling onto him. The Hydro Pump was stronger than the Swift, which Magneton used earlier, so Marshtomp was able to throw Whiscash backwards, and away from himself.

Juan then tried with Hyper Beam, but Marshtomp dodged, and used another Hydro Pump. This time, it didn't hit, as Whiscash dived into the pool, and avoided being hit for the second time, third if you count the Swift.

Seeing that he is in a jam, and that he will most likely lose this round, Juan told his Whiscash to use, Fissure. Whiscash jumped into the air from the pool, and fell hard onto the ground part of the battlefield, which created a white energy beam that went through the ground and across the water, before it slammed into Marshtomp, who was sent flying out of the battlefield, and even behind the platform where Serena was standing on.

Serena just stood there and watched, wide-eyed at how her Pokemon was taken out, just like that, when she was obviously having the advantage.

"Well, that was a dirty move," Max commented from the bleachers, though only May and Ash heard him. "Juan figured out that Marshtomp was stronger than his Whiscash, and used a move which is a single-hit knockout if it hits."

"He had the right to do that, though," Ash said. "There are no rules against the use of Fissure. Besides, it's a good thing that Serena faced an opponent who used it against her right now, and not in the match during the League. Now she knows what this move can do to her Pokemon, and the next time someone tries this on her, she will dodge it, and not be caught off guard."

"I guess you are right," Max said. "Still, this means that both Serena and Juan now have two Pokemon left, with one on both sides, already used and tired."

"I wouldn't worry," Ash said. "I'm sure that Serena will win in the end. She just has to calm down and not let herself be caught off guard again. If she does, she will not like the consequences."

Serena though which Pokemon to choose next. With only two Pokemon left, she knows that one will have to be Kirlia, as she already used him, but what about the second Pokemon? Should she go with Delphox, as she is Serena's strongest Pokemon, but would be weak against the Water Attack's and her Fire Attacks would be useless against Water Pokemon; or should she go with Shelgon, as the only other Pokemon she currently has on her team.

In the end, she decided to simply go with Shelgon, as he needs more battles and training then Delphox, so that he can get stronger and evolve into Salamence.

Serena sent Shelgon to the battlefield. Shelgon came out of his Poke Balls, looking pumped-up for the battle, and the chance to get stronger and finally evolve into Salamence.

Juan started the round by telling his Whiscash to use Hyper Beam.

Serena told her Shelgon to use Iron Defense. Shelgon's body glowed white for a moment, and when he was struck by the Hyper Beam, the attack simply split in the middle and flew to the left and right of Shelgon, without dealing it any damage.

Serena immediately reacted and told Shelgon to use, Dragon Pulse. Immediately, a turquoise ball formed in front of Shelgon's face, which was then fired at Whiscash, who couldn't dodge it in time, and was struck.

Once the cloud from the explosion cleared out, Whiscash was seen on the ground, passed out.

Juan returned his defeated Pokemon, and then took his final Poke Ball. At that point, everyone knew which Pokemon it is. It's Juan's star Pokemon, which they have seen performing in front of a crowd, yesterday. It's… Milotic.

Juan released his Milotic, which looked just as majestic as Ash's. She looks beautiful, well cared for, and most of all, powerful, meaning that Serena is going to have trouble with her.

The battle started with Milotic using Hydro Pump. Shelgon countered it by firing a thick, green beam of energy. Hydro Pump and Dragon Breath clashed, and canceled each other out.

Then, Milotic went with Iron Tail, but Shelgon defended with the Iron Defense, before he fired a Dragon Pulse, which struck Milotic head-on, and dealt it some damage.

Unfortunately for Serena, Juan told his Milotic to use Recover, which made Milotic glow for a few moments, before she was as good as new.

Serena realized right away that this is going to be a tough battle, but she also figured out how she can win. First though, let's see what else she can do and if it will come to that point.

Serena told Shelgon to use Dragon Claw, making Shelgon's front legs glow bright green, before he jumped and slashed at Milotic, but Milotic reacted on time, and used Iron Tail to hit Shelgon, and send him flying.

To make matters worse, Juan told Milotic to use Twister, which Milotic did, and hit Shelgon straight on, with a Dragon Type move, which is super effective against Dragon Type Pokemon, like Shelgon.

Shelgon fell down on the battlefield, and looked defeated, but then he was surrounded in red aura, and got back up, much to everyone's surprised.

Shelgon then fired Dragon Pulse at Milotic, without even being told by Serena. When Milotic dodged, Shelgon once again attacked, using Dragon Claw, again without Serena telling him. Serena tried to stop him, but Shelgon wasn't listening to her. He has activated Outrage, and is extremely enraged so he won't listen to anyone.

Shelgon managed to slash Milotic, before he struck her with Dragon Pulse, dealing her a lot of damage, but she was still in the battle.

Milotic used Recover, once again, and then fired another Twister, point blank, when Shelgon came close to her to use Dragon Claw.

This time, Shelgon couldn't get back up and passed out from the effective attack.

"Damn," Max swore. "Shelgon lost, and quite easily at that."

"Well, that Milotic is quite strong, so it's not that surprising," Ash commented. "Shelgon still has a way to go before he is strong enough to evolve. Not to mention that he needs to learn to control himself better. He shouldn't have entered into Outrage after being hit by just one attack, even if it's super effective, like Twister."

"What now," May asked? "Will Kirlia be able to defeat that Milotic, since on top of being powerful, she can use, Recover, and that's bothersome."

"Yes, but even Recover has its limits," Ash said, as he saw that Serena recalled her defeated Shelgon, and sent out Kirlia to battle. "Besides, I can see that there is a way for Serena to win this right away. The question is. Does she see it as well?"

May and Max looked at Ash, wondering what he was talking about. They didn't see any way for Serena to win as easily as Ash is saying. What are they missing?

Milotic fired a Hydro Pump at Kirlia, but Kirlia just teleported away from the danger. When Milotic tried Iron Tail, Kirlia again teleported away. Even Twister didn't work, as Kirlia would simply teleport away from the attacks, before they could hit her.

Milotic started to get annoyed by this, just like Juan, who has lost his cool. He wasn't used to his opponents messing around like this, and just dodge the attack. They usually are the one who attack him, and he defends and counter attacks.

After another Hydro Pump missed hitting Kirlia, Milotic was surprised when suddenly, Kirlia teleported behind her, and used Psybeam, hitting Milotic at the back of her head, stunning her immediately, and making her fall face first into the pool.

Milotic got back up from the water, right in front of Kirlia, and Juan told her to use Twister, but Serena shouted before Milotic could fire her attack. "Hypnosis!"

Kirlia's irises glowed for a moment, and Milotic was caught in the Hypnosis, before she fell backwards into the pool, as she fell asleep.

Serena told Kirlia to use Psybeam, to finish the battle, and Kirlia did just that. Milotic was hit by a Psybeam, sinking her at he bottom of the pool. When she floated back up, she was unconscious.

"Milotic is unable to continue," Sebastian announced! "The winner is Kirlia, and the match goes to the challenger, Serena Gomez of Vaniville Town!"
