In Class 2-M's dormitory...
Adrien and Chloe had gotten up pretty early considering it was a Sunday. They were both surprised to see them both up at the same time. After making a quick breakfast, they ate together quietly. Adrien couldn't help but think about Skylar since he hadn't seen her in a while. He wondered if he should go over there just to make sure things were okay. Skylar wasn't exactly excited to be hero training again it seemed like. He just wanted to make sure that she was okay now that it had been awhile.
He noticed Chloe looking at him as she ate the rest of her eggs and toast. He instinctively looked away, which just made her wonder even more about what was going on.
"Is everything okay Adrien? You've been quiet ever since hero training the other day," Chloe asked him, "Did something happen with Izuku or Skylar?"
Adrien picked at his scrambled eggs and bacon, not feeling very hungry. He thought about it some more and hoped that he could talk to her at some point. Whatever was going with her, he kind of felt like he needed to be there for her in some way. He knew what it felt like to have such a strict father around all the time. He really wanted to be there for her, even if things were a little weird and awkward at first.
"Not really. I just..." Adrien said back, "I'm just worried about her is all."
Soon enough, AllMight came down to get some coffee in the morning. He looked like he was still trying to wake up as he grabbed some coffee and a mug from the cabinet. Then he grabbed a blueberry muffin and put aside next to his mug. AllMight yawned, which clearly told Adrien that he didn't sleep very well. They soon locked eyes onto each other, and AllMight soon joined them.
"Good morning, Young Agreste and Young Bourgeois," AllMight said to them, "I hope that you got a good night's sleep last night."
"Sort of. You look like you barely got any sleep," Adrien said back, "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah... I just didn't have the best sleep last night. It was probably just a nightmare or something," AllMight told them, "I'm sure it was nothing more than paper work getting the best of me. You two should at least get some hero training in today even if there's no school. It may help for next week."
"Yes sir. Will you be helping us out?" Chloe asked him, "I wouldn't mind hero training again with you."
Adrien noticed him hesitate and wondered if something was going on with him or the school. Something about the look on his face bothered him a little. Soon his coffee was ready and headed back over there.
"We'll see. But right now, I'm needed for something else at the moment," AllMight told them, "Besides, maybe you can get Class 2-A to hero train with you. I'm sure Young Midoriya or any of the others would love to help out. I'm sure Young Garnier wouldn't mind as well. She is new here after all."
Adrien hesitated, but knew that he was right. He was going to head over there anyway. He was already dressed along with Chloe, so they soon finished their breakfast. He noticed that AllMight was still trying to wake up as they grabbed their backpack and school bag. Something about it stuck out to him for some reason.
"Mr. Yagi, are you sure that you're okay?" Adrien asked him.
"Yeah. I'm okay," AllMight told him, "I just... need to take care of some things is all. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine after my coffee."
Chloe guided Adrien out of the dormitory, but he still felt like something was off. Before they could leave however, Mr. Aizawa came barging through their doors with someone that they weren't expecting. Adrien's eyes widened in shock, wondering why she was even here in the first place. Even AllMight was a bit surprised to see their friend here.
"A-Alya?!" Adrien cried out even though she was dressed as Rena Rouge.
"What are you doing here?!" Chloe cried out.
"Now's not the time for explaining everything," Mr. Aizawa told them before Rena Rouge could get the chance, "AllMight, we need you and all of the staff to to meet up in the staff room. Something's come up, and we need to handle it right away."
Adrien noticed Mr. Aizawa looking pretty intimidating like someone messed with their school and his classmates. AllMight let out a sigh and took a sip of his coffee.
"Can't I finish my coffee first?" AllMight asked him, "I just got up. I didn't get the best sleep last night."
"You can bring it with you," Mr. Aizawa said with no hesitation whatsoever.
Before anyone could say anything else, Mr. Aizawa left with Alya behind him. Before she could leave, Adrien grabbed her by the wrist. His eyes were wide in shock and his face was pale, clearly worried about Marinette. She looked at him, and he could tell that she was expecting this to happen.
"Alya. What's going on?" Adrien asked her, "Where's Marinette?"
Rena Rouge hesitated to explain what was going on as she looked back at Mr. Aizawa. He was waiting for her and looked annoyed at Adrien. He flinched away from Rena Rouge, but still wanted to know what was going on. She looked a little nervous, which just made him worry a little more.
"Adrien. I can't explain right now," Rena Rouge told him, "I need to help Mr. Aizawa and the teachers with something important. You just need to know that Marinette is fine. She actually sent me here along with Izuku and Katsuki. I came here to help figure out what's going on in this school."
Adrien was confused and didn't understand what she meant by that. Mr. Aizawa called out to her, which got her attention.
"I'm sorry, but I need to go," Rena Rouge said to him, "Mr. Aizawa really needs me to come with him. We can talk about this later, okay?"
Rena Rouge left before he could say anything else. Adrien stood there and soon AllMight left after them. He held his coffee, looking a little more awake after hearing what they had to say. He wanted to head over there as well, but he knew that Mr. Aizawa would never let him into their staff room. Whatever it was, he wondered if it had anything to do with the portal or the machine that had information on Class 2-A.
Then her remembered what Rena Rouge told him and headed over to Class 2-A's dormitory. Chloe noticed him heading that direction and followed him. He looked a little annoyed that he knew nothing about this. Midoriya never told him anything before going to the portal. He should've told him what he was doing before actually going through with it. Then he realized that he must've talked to Marinette behind his back.
"Adrien. Calm down," Chloe said to him as she tried to stop him from entering the dormitory, "I'm sure that Izuku has a good explanation for all of this."
Adrien didn't stop walking over there and soon was standing in their front yard.
"He still should've come to me before even opening the portal," Adrien said to her, "No one said anything to me. I'm one of the Guardians of the Miraculous as well. I should be informed as to what's going on."
Soon enough, Adrien knocked onto the door a little harshly. Iida opened the front door, but Adrien entered the dormitory before he could even let him inside. That seemed to catch his attention right away.
"Hey! Adrien, you can't just barge into our dormitories like that without an explanation!" Iida lectured him.
Then Adrien spotted a few other classmates, along with Midoriya and Bakugo standing in the background. He clenched his fists in annoyance as he stomped over to them. Midoriya seemed to understand why he was mad as he walked up to him with his arms up in defense.
"What do you think you're doing opening the portal without telling me first?" Adrien growled at him, "You didn't even inform me about any of this."
"A-Adrien. I-I ca-can explain," Midoriya said back, "I was going to tell you, but things didn't go as planned. I needed to talk to Marinette about all of this. She decided to do this, not me. Alya wanted to help, and Marinette's still resting."
Adrien was confused, but pulled back a bit. He stood there, trying to understand why she wouldn't tell him any of this. He took out his phone and looked at his messages and voicemails. There was nothing that came up that was from her, which just confused her even more. He didn't know if he should be worried about her or not. He clenched his phone, feeling a little upset that she didn't even send him a message.
"Why didn't she say anything to me?" Adrien asked under his breath, "We're partners after all."
Adrien noticed Midoriya in the corner of his eye, and he looked worried about him. He tried to get his attention, but he could barely look at him in that moment.
"I'm sure she's just tired. She's been up all night," Midoriya said to him.
"Give her a break. I'm sure she could use one," Bakugo told him.
Adrien looked up at him, noticing Midoriya looking a little tired himself. He didn't understand why him and AllMight looked tired, but it was probably just a coincidence. All he could think about was Marinette and hoped that she feeling better.
"Marinette... Did she say anything to you?" Adrien asked him.
Midoriya looked a little determined for a moment there, and he knew that it was important for them to know what was going on. Adrien then noticed that Skylar was still not down here yet, which seemed a little weird to him. She seemed like someone like was always up early.
"She told me that she was worried about more information leaking into the machine," Midoriya told them, "Alya and her team found something on it again. Actually, they found Skylar on it as well as everyone in our class. It had all of her information on it just like us."
Everyone in the common room were shocked to find this out, but knew that it just meant that something really was going on in the school.
"Someone has to be hacking the school's systems or something," Iida told them as he thought about it, "I mean, Skylar is brand new here. She shouldn't be on the machine unless the school's systems are somehow linking to the portal."
"That's exactly what Alya were thinking as well," Midoriya said to them, "She wants to help the teachers find whoever is doing this. Marinette sent her over here to finally figure out why this is happening."
"Really? I'm surprised that Mr. Aizawa is okay with this all things considered," Sero pointed out.
"I just hope that Skylar is okay. She hasn't come down yet," Ashido explained to them, "I tried to check on her, but there wasn't much of a response. She might be really tired from hero training or something."
Adrien noticed Midoriya looking a little guilty of something and knew that they must've talked about something. He wanted to go talk to her or just check on her, but something about it told him to leave her alone. He looked at Midoriya and wondered if there was anything else going on that he should know about. Something about his pale face bothered him. When he rubbed his throat, he thought maybe he wasn't feeling good.
"Is there anything else going on that I should know about? We're still friends after all," Adrien asked him.
Midoriya stopped rubbing his throat, and Bakugo seemed to look away to avoid this conversation. He knew that something else was going on, but didn't know if he should know about it or not. Before he could say anything, the elevator opened up to reveal Skylar. She was dressed in a cute casual outfit, ready to have some breakfast.
She looked refreshed, which seemed to get Midoriya to relax a little. Skylar spotted Adrien and Chloe, surprised to see them over here so early.
"Oh hey guys!" Skylar exclaimed a little too loudly, "You're up early."
Adrien noticed Midoriya looking confused since it was much later than he was expecting her to get up.
"Umm... Skylar. It's already ten o'clock," Midoriya told her, "I'm surprised that you're up so late. I thought you told me, early bird catches the worm."
A few of their classmates looked confused by that comment, but Skylar seemed to understand what he was talking about. Adrien could tell that Skylar was a little distant with Midoriya. He figured that it was because of hero training, but then she smiled brightly at him like nothing had happened between them.
"Oh that! I was just on the phone with my father is all," Skylar told them, "He told me that he's proud of my progress. He even is okay with me hero training with you Izuku. I told him about it, and he said that he's impressed that you can keep up with me. If you don't mind, I love to hero train again soon. Maybe even today if you want to."
Everyone was shocked to hear this from her father, especially Adrien. He noticed how happy she looked, which made him feel so good. Something about it also seemed a little fake for some reason. He didn't know why she was doing this, but he had to at least talk to her or something. He noticed Midoriya looking a little embarrassed, but didn't seem to mind helping her out.
"S-Sure Skylar," Midoriya said back, "I wouldn't mind hero training with you today. I'm just glad that things are working out for you and your father now."
"Yeah. My father wasn't exactly the best listener back then," Adrien explained to her, "By the way you explained him, I'm surprised that he even allowed you to hero train with anyone, let alone Izuku."
"Yeah well, my father can be a little unpredictable at times," Skylar told him without looking at him.
"I know that feeling very well," Adrien said to her under his breath.
Adrien noticed her playing with her bracelet, knowing full well how much it meant to her. He felt better now that her father was letting her hero train without being strict about it. Even if it was still under his rules, he felt like she was starting to relax a little more. For a moment, he noticed her glancing over at Midoriya. Before he could figure out what was going on, she walked over to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
Adrien looked at Midoriya, and they shared a look that told them what the other was thinking.
No one had told Skylar yet about Alya and the portal.
In U.A. Academy...
Rena Rouge followed Mr. Aizawa and AllMight, trying to stay calm as they headed towards the staff room. She noticed AllMight and knew right away who it was. Just based on Marinette's descriptions, she knew that he was the retired Symbol of Peace. She tried to stay calm and not fan girl all over him as they walked down the hallways. She had to stay focused on what she was here to do.
She could always get an autograph afterwards.
Rena Rouge noticed how tired AllMight looked as he drank his coffee. She could tell that being a teacher here must exhausting dealing with a lot of students with quirks. She couldn't imagine what that would feel like. She knew to give him a break since he was so tired. She looked at Mr. Aizawa, and she admitted to herself that she kind of missed him a little.
She remembered how tired he looked all the time and knew that he must a hero that works at night like Knight Owl. She was impressed that he could still be a teacher after all that work. She wouldn't be surprised if he sleeps during his breaks just to catch up on some sleep.
Rena Rouge noticed AllMight looking at her, which almost got her to start fangirling.
"So you must be Rena Rouge, Marinette's friend," AllMight said to her, "She's told me so much about you. I can tell that you two are really close."
"Y-Yes AllMight. We've been friends for a while now," Rena Rouge said, barely able to contain herself, "She's told me a lot about you as well. I've actually been wanting to meet you ever since I met Class 1-A. I mean, you are the retired Symbol of Peace after all."
Rena Rouge noticed AllMight get a little flustered when she started fangirling, and she pulled back a bit.
"S-Sorry. I-I just always wanted to come here ever since I heard about it," Rena Rouge told him, "I should probably focus on helping you guys out first, then ask for your autograph."
AllMight couldn't help but laugh, which made her blush a little. She felt a little weird to finally be meeting the one and only Symbol of Peace. He just seemed like someone that was out of reach for her. Maybe even a dream. But now that she was here, if felt really good to finally meet him face to face.
"Don't worry about it so much. You do what you have to do," AllMight told her, "I trust you. You are friends with Marinette after all. I've got a feeling that you've dealt with mysteries here and there."
"Y-Yes sir. I-I have," Rena Rouge said back, trying to regain her composure, "I'll do what I can to figure out what's going on with your school."
Soon she heard Mr. Aizawa clear his throat, making her stiffen up. That seemed to catch AllMight's attention as well, and he too straightened up. Something about that felt weird to have the Symbol of Peace act this way in front of a teacher. She could tell that Mr. Aizawa was still a pretty strict teacher even with him being back in Japan.
Rena Rouge looked up to notice that they were finally standing outside of the staff room. She adjusted her backpack, feeling a little nervous to be in front of all of these teachers. Mr. Aizawa gave them stern looks, which made Rena Rouge a little nervous.
"Don't forget. I don't normally do this," Mr. Aizawa explained to her, "Rena Rouge, you're here to help us figure out what's going on. Whoever's hacking our computer systems, I'm hoping that you can help us figure this out. If anything, we might be able to find it without much help from you. I only say that because I wouldn't want you getting involved with the League of Villains. They're a group that I'd rather you stay clear of. Remember, things are different here in our Japan."
Rena Rouge felt a shiver go up and down her back, making her hands shake a little. She stood up straight, remembering Marinette trusting her to help her friends. They were her friends as well, and she wanted to do whatever it took to help uncover this mystery.
"Don't worry. I'll do my best to stay out of trouble," Rena Rouge said to him, "Whatever's going on in this school, I want to help."
Mr. Aizawa and AllMight shared a look and were ready to head inside. He opened the door, and Rena Rouge soon made her way into the staff room. She quickly spotted all of the teachers in the staff room, ready for them to enter. They looked like they already knew what was going on.
Rena Rouge stood there, ready to help U.A. Academy.
Another amazing chapter!
This was a good chapter to write. I like Alya finally being here in Japan. I knew Adrien would be upset in some way, but it wasn't going to last very long. I mean, it is his girlfriend and she didn't get around to talking to him about this. I wanted to get that out of the way so it can get around to the more important things anyway. Skylar is getting more interesting as it goes on, so we'll see where this is going...
Rena Rouge is here to help.
What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
