Chapter 26

Now Museum-Now You Don't

Spider Skull Island

It's been a few months after the whole "fertilizer" with the lawn, not to mention Naruto going on a trip with Rusty and Brock, just so Rusty could try and patterned his new invention, which looked like a suped-up hoover, which it turns out, no-one was interested, where after that, both Brock and Naruto ended up sleeping with a few women, separately for obvious reasons, while Rusty had slept on his own, though his hoover was next to him so who knows what that meant.

But as it turned out, The Monarch and his two henchmen, 21 and 24, had ended up invading the compound while they were away, since he got the 4-1-1 from Sheila about it, especially the part where he had walked into the Cocoon with his pants down, quite literally, which had caused Naruto to nearly do a spit-take of his drink, which Sheila found amusing, along with how 21 had used a tranq dart and knocked Hank out with it, making the boy think he was immortal, whichmade Naruto realise why Hank kept thinking that while trying to stab his hand with a knife to see if he would quickly heal, but each time he was stopped, along with Naruto and Brock practically spelling it out to the boy that he wasn't immortal, where Hank had shown them the "proof" of his immortality, which happened to be the dart that had knocked him out, with Naruto taking a quick sniff of it, since he's got slightly heightened senses, where he then simply states, "It's a tranq dart dude, you were pretty much knocked out for a while."

Which Hank had tried to deny it, but unfortunately the proof happened when Naruto had brought Hank's hand up, then pricked it with the left over tranq, causing the boy to get sleepy, then knocked out, where Naruto then placed the boy in bed, but also put his hand in a bowl of warm water, just to punish the boy for think such things, which Sheila found pretty stupid, but funny nonetheless.

Anyway, after that whole mess, the group was now visiting J.J. to his museum opening on Spider Skull Island, with him wanting to show of all of Jonas's accomplishments, but it would seem that the stress of the opening was getting to him, since he pretty much asked Brock to usher the boys away while he talks to his brother about something, seeing as the only one not wearing a "black-tie only" outfit was Rusty, since unlike the others, who were wearing formal black dress suits, Rusty was wearing a purple suit with a clip-on black tie.

So, Naruto ended up grabbing a drink and started walking around the place to have a look at the museum items, though he soon noticed the slightly out-of-breath Venture Team, so he went to greet them, "Hey you old buzzards, it's been a while." He casually speaks to them.

With the group seeing Naruto and greeting him back with their usual friendly banter with him, with Naruto understanding that the now shrunken hero wanted to move out due to the boys "naive" nature, with action man pointing out that the boys were practically dumb a bricks, with Naruto trying to defend the boys, but unfortunately both Hank and Dean were making difficult, seeing as Dean had made a bet with Hank about sticking his tongue to a large block of ice with a caveman in it.

Making Naruto palm his face, "Those boys are really making it difficult to defend them." Naruto couldn't help but moan out, with the other Venture Team Members nodding and patting Naruto on the back for support, since he had to put up with it most of the time.

It wasn't long before Naruto started mingling again, chatting with a few people here and there, he even bumped into Sally, happy to see her gaining more confidence and seems more happy with her life, with her agreeing and thanking Naruto for his support during her time with Richard, where she also explained that they were getting a divorce, but Richard was pretty much dragging his feet with it, though she had more brains than only having one copy of it.

Naruto was just happy that she was now managing to enjoy herself more and that J.J. was helping her with that, though at one point, the Captain was chasing after Ned, seeing as the "special" guy was running around with no pants on, where at one point he was running around Naruto to keep away from the Captain, thankfully Naruto managed to keep his eyes "above" Ned's chest, "Ned~" Hearing this, caused Ned to look to Naruto in question, "Are you a good boy?" Naruto asks, with Ned nodding his head, while telling Naruto he was in his own way, "If that's true Ned, then you should wear your pants, because all good boys wear pants while outside and in front of strangers." Naruto states calmly, which allowed Ned to calm down and allowed the Captain to put Ned's pants on.

With the Captain thanking Naruto for his assistance, with Naruto nodding his head back, while explaining that the best way to help people who are "special" is to talk to them calmly and make them realise their own faults without pointing them out yourself, otherwise it'll stress them out more, with the Captain keeping that advice in mind from now on.

Naruto soon rejoins the group, just to hear Rusty drunkenly bad mouths Colonel Gentlemen, only for said man to punch him in the face, since it took a while, but Tara had actually got in touch with her stepfather, which happens to be Colonel Gentlemen, who while didn't really care about Tara's mother, he still had a soft spot for Tara, so the fact that he heard about what had happened between Rusty and Tara, it was obvious the man was a little upset at Rusty for such a thing.

"Also Naruto, thank you for visiting her in England, she told me you were a delight to have around, with the girls practically loving your visits, I just hope they're not loving you TOO much if you get what I mean." The man warned, since he saw the girls as his own granddaughters, so of course he'd be protective of them as well.

Meaning that The Gentlemen had just given Naruto his version of a "father's warning" that all boyfriends have to face, "You can relax sir, I'm already dating someone, she's actually Triana, the girl I'm sure you've met at the Compound." Naruto explained, while leaving out the fact that it was more like the twins loving him TOO much, but he couldn't really tell him that.

The boys though became confused at the man somehow still being alive, but Gentlemen soon explained about getting dumped by his lover, where he then went on a sugar binge, with had put the man into a diabetic coma, though the man then went into even weirder details about what happened afterwards, but Naruto quickly decided to stop that, "You may need to stop old man, before you traumatise... Well, everyone around here!" Naruto quickly stated, while looking at the others shocked and uncomfortable stares.

Hearing this, Gentlemen looked around and quickly apologised for his trip down memory lane, though he did share his book on what he got up to, where Naruto decided to leave that area be, being damn glad to get away from them for now, since sometimes the old group made things a little awkward for those around them.

Though as it turned out, everything was starting to boil over, what with the Venture Team getting angry about their villains, with Sally getting upset about Richard, along with J.J. not paying attention to her, along with the Captain and his crew not getting any respect for their hard work in keeping the party running, with J.J. obviously getting stressed about the event as well.

While the boys were messing around with the drunk and suicidal Richard, due to his loss of Sally, seeing as he tried jumping off of the second balcony, but due to him being rubber, it only knocked him out for a while.

Anyway, Brock and Naruto soon realised that things were about to get out of hand, so their group decided to leave and get out of the whole thing so they didn't get in the middle of it, though Naruto wanted to help the group out, but even he didn't know how to stop such a thing, so he ended up following them as well, seeing as it was J.J.'s event, and it was easy to see that J.J. had practically made the event about himself and Jonas, when in fact J.J. was never really apart of the scene until recently, so Naruto figured he'll let them sort everything out.

Though just as Naruto left, he noticed the pirates and Team Venture started fighting each other, with Naruto noticing Sally simply smirking at the "turn of event," since J.J. had practically made everything about himself, where she sees Naruto, where both waved goodbye to one another.

Where the Venture Family had just got into their jet, though Rusty was a little upset that Brock and Naruto didn't join the fight, it turned out it was a good call for them since the self-destruct function suddenly came back on line, so they quickly made their escape before then, though as they were flying away, Rusty pulled a little joke on Brock about going back, but they soon laughed it off and carried on back to their home.

But as it turned out, Richard had woken up, then stretched out to to bomb, covering it with his mouth, where due to his rubber body, he had absorbed the blast from it, pretty much saving everyone from the explosion, with both J.J. and Sally thanking him for the save, though as they left the Captain had pointed out that Richard was just trying to kill himself with the explosive, knowing what the man was thinking.

There you have it, not much action but quite a bit of drama, all things considered, also I bet everyone thought Naruto and Sally were gonna hook up, ye~ah, not this time, since she's going out with J.J. and that would be a bit of a dick move, since J.J. is better than Richard in comparison, so Naruto wouldn't do that to J.J. which is why he pretty much left everything to him when when it was obvious that J.J. was trying to "replace" Rusty and everything. lol
