After Octavian catapulted himself, there was a separate funeral held for him at New Rome. Almost all of the demigods of New Rome came, including the Seven, Nico, and Reyna. Percy had Annabeth take a picture of him posing with Reyna, Nico, and Jason in front of the grave(They didn't burn a shroud for him because he doesn't deserve it{and the Roman Senate voted against it}). After the service, everyone formed a line with various fluffy looking things in their hands. When Annabeth asked Percy what was going on, he just told her to wait and see. It turned out that the things the demigods were holding were the tattered remains of all the stuffed animals Octavian had ruthlessly butchered for his piddly little visions. People who didn't have any were given some from people who had extra. The fluff and fabric filled the hole above the empty casket(Octavaian got burned up, so there wasn't a body to bury). Percy was last in line. Annabeth watched in complete disbelief as her boyfriend knelt by the grave filled with the entrails of once beloved stuffed animals, and, with tears in his eyes, dropped stuffing with bits of black and white fabric in it into the hole, and proceeded to give one of the most eloquent, moving, and passionate eulogies ever. Annabeth looked on as Percy Jackson, her soul mate, moved an entire crowd of Romans to tears(and the Greeks, too). When he finally finished, and the grave had been covered with a layer of freshly turned dirt, Annabeth turned to Percy and asked,
"Percy, what… what?"
"Now the butcher of stuffed animals shall be no more, Annabeth," Percy said solemnly.
"Um…"
"He killed my best panda friend," Percy continued. "and disrespected Hazel in the first minute I knew him."
"Oh," Annabeth said, nodding.
"Hey, you guys! We're heading over to the pavilion to tell horror stories about Octavian! Come on!" a Roman yelled.
"Coming," Percy yelled back. "Come on Wise Girl. Let's go make sure Dakota doesn't find any more Kool-Aid."The couple walked away from the grave of stuffed animal remains.
From that day on, whenever someone lost a stuffed animal, they went to Octavian's grave, lit a candle or an incense burner, and asked the ghost of the former augur to guide them to their lost friend.
