Episode 3
The Avatar Returns.
Last time on Crossover Legends.
Zuko: The last airbender, Quit agile for his old age. Wake my uncle, Tell him I've found the Avatar.
He quickly looked back into his telescope and caught sight of the Village.
Zuko: As well as his hiding place.
He smirked in determination.

Dipper, Aang and Katara headed towards the village after setting off the flare, which was still falling from the sky. As they came towards the village the children ran to greet them.
Children: Yay, Aang's Back!
They quickly Ran to him and gathered around, until Mark, Sokka, Gran Gran and the rest of the village followed.
Mark: Dipper, Where were you?!
Dipper: Long story…
Dib: Anything to do with that?!
He pointed up at the flare in the sky.
Dipper: Kinda…?
Sokka: I knew it! You signaled the fire navy with that flare! You're leading them straight to us? Aren't you?
Katara: Aang and Dipper didn't do anything, It was an accident.
Jack: Accident?
Aang: Well you see, We kinda went on this ship and got caught in a booby trap and well… We Boobied right into it.
Vana: Boobied right into it?
Dipper sighed.
Dipper: Okay, It was my fault!
Gran Gran: Katara, You shouldn't have gone on that ship, Now we could All be in danger!
Mark: What were you thinking!
Aang: Don't blame them, I'm the one who pressured them into it… It's my fault.
Sokka: Aha! The traitor confesses! Warriors Away from the Enemy, The airbender is banished from our village.
The children sadly away from Aang, Dipper and Katara.
Katara: Sokka, You're making a mistake!
Sokka: No, I'm keeping my promise to dad, I'm protecting you from threats like him.
Dipper: Aang is not our enemy! All he's done is bring you guys something you haven't had in a long time.
Vana: What?
Katara: Fun.
Sokka: Fun?! We can't fight Villains with Fun!
Dipper: Tell that to my sister…
Aang: You should try it sometime.
Sokka: Get out of our village, Now!
Katara: Grandmother please, Don't let sokka do this…
Gran Gran: Katara, you knew going on that ship was dangerous, Sokka is right, I think it's best if the airbender leaves.
Katara: Fine! Then I'm banished Too!
Dipper: What!?
Katara: C'mon Aang, Lets go!
She grabbed his hand and began to walk off.
Jack: Wait!
Sokka: Where do you think you're going!
Katara: To find a water bender! Aang is taking me to the North Pole!
Aang: I am?
Jack: No! you can't take him now!
Mac: What about us? How do we get out of here?
Sokka: Katara, Would you really choose him over your tribe? Your own family?
Katara was hesitant.
Aang: Katara, I don't wanna come between you and your family. (goes to Appa.)
Katara: So you're leaving the south pole? This is goodbye?
Aang: I guess so.
Katara: Where will you go?
Aang: Guess I'll go back home and look for the airbenders.
Katara: Uh… about that.
But Before she could finish, Aang had airbended himself on top of Appa's head.
Aang: It was nice meeting you everyone.
Sokka: Lets see your biason fly now, air boy!
Aang: C'mon Appa, You can do it, Yip, Yip!
Appa got to his feet.
Dipper: Wait!
Dipper quickly ran up to Aang followed by Dib.
Dib: You can't leave us, we have to get to Caer Daythl.
Aang: I'm sorry guys, But I have to go, C'mon boy.
He shook the reins.
Dipper: You don't understand, We…
Appa then walked off.
Dib: Damn it…
And with that, Both disheartened boys went back to the village, just as Gran Gran walked up to Katara.
Gran Gran: Katara, You'll feel better after you…
Katara: Are you happy Now!? There goes my one chance of becoming a waterbender!
She Stalked off Angrily, Leaving Gran Gran to solemnly look down in shame.
Dipper: Now what do we do?
Jack: We endanger this village just as much as Aang "did."
Dib: We should have gone with him, while we had the chance.
Mark: Perhaps, But we can't worry about that now. The village could be under attack and we don't have a ride, so…
The team looked at Mark in surprise.
Dipper: Uncle Mark… What are you saying.
Mark: We stay, And help defend the Village.
Mac: Hmm, Why not? I've been itching to pull to unload some ammunition, He He He.
Sokka: Alright, Ready our defenses, Villains could be on our shores at any moment.
Little boy: But-
Sokka: And No Potty Breaks!
Meanwhile,
Not too far away from the Village, Aang and Appa took refuge on some ice formations.
Aang: Yeah, I liked her too.
He turned over and then noticed a Fire Nation Vessel heading in the direction of the Village.
Aang: The village!
I just illustrated that, thank you.
Meanwhile,
After coming to an agreement with Sokka, Mark, Jack and Mac began helping him with the Defenses, Meanwhile, Mark instructed Dipper, Dib and Vana to help protect the other villagers.
Dib: You sure it'll be safe here?
Dipper; I don't know, But I don't think these Fire Nation guys would expect to find it at all here.
He quickly hid the Emerald under his pillow.
Dipper and Dib then hurried off to help Vana and Katara get the Women and Children to safety.
Back on Zuko's ship, The Fire Prince himself was dressed in Battle armor, prepared to finally catch his long awaited prey.
The mist Mark, Jack and Sokka stood together on top of the ice wall, while Mac was on the watchtower with a sniper rifle ready.
Mark: Anything?
Mac: Negative, Wait I think…
A large rumble was felt by everyone, the ground began to shake and the wall began to crack.
Mac: Uh Guys.
Mac was Feeling the watch town begin to fall apart, and just as he was about to get off, It collapsed with him on it.
Mac: I'm okay.
The Villagers quickly began to panic, while Dipper tried to keep order!
Dipper: Everyone calm down! It's probably nothing to…
He then looked behind him and his eyes widened.
Dipper: Worry about.
A massive shadow emerges from the mist in the form of Zuko's Ship.
Sokka: Oh man…
The large gray Vessel cut through the ice all the way to the wall, Dipper, Katara, Dib and Vana quickly evacuated everyone to the tents, With Dib quickly grabbing hold of a terrified little girl, THe Vessel continued it's destructive course, straight towards, Mark, Sokka and Jack!
Sokka: Oh Man…
Mark: Retreat!
He, Sokka and Jack jumped off the wall as the ship breached it and came to a stop, The Village Emerged from hiding and stared in awe of the ship, everyone drew their breath as the bowstrip of the ship fell and became a gangplank, narrowly missing Sokka and Jack, The Villagers started on nervously.
Mark: Hold your ground.
Soon enough, Zuko and a host of fire nation soldiers disembarked from the ship, proming Sokka to charge straight towards Zuko, Who kicked his weapon out out of his hands and kicked him in the face, everyone gasped and drew back in fright, Mark activated his Gauntlets and Jack drew his Sword, Both standing defensively in front of the Villagers as Zuko stood in front of them, he served his surrounding before addressing them.
Zuko: Where are you hiding him?
Mark: Hiding who?
Zuko managed to grab Gran Gran and showed her to the crowd.
Zuko: He'd be about this age? Master of all elements?
Jack: You won't find him here, Boy.
Zuko threw Gran Gran back to Katara, then launched a gout of flame over everyone's heads.
Zuko: I know you're hiding him!
Dipper: Who are you talking about?
Zuko: Don't play dumb child!
Mac aimed his sniper rifle at Zuko's head, while Sokka charged at the prince from behind, Zuko Dodged his Attack, and fired a blast of flame at Sokka who dodged and threw his boomerang at Zuko while Mac took his shot! With shocking grace, Zuko dodged both projectiles!
Little Boy: Show No Fear!
A little boy then threw a spear at Sokka, who caught it and charged at Zuko, Who simply broke the end off with his wrist gauntlets, then grabbed the spear, poked Sokka's head with it twice and threw it at Mac, who was hit in the head with the spear and knocked out instantly, Sokka's Boomerang however, flew back and knocked Zuko on the head, enraging him even more, He began to shoot fire out of his hands, Almost like Daggers he prepared to advance on Mark and Jack.
Mark: Everyone, Get behind me!
Just as he readied his shield however, Aang rocketed in on a penguin and Swept under Zuko, Who landed with his butt up in the air, The Children cheered until they were covered in snow, but cheered again anyway!
Aang: Hey Everybody.
Dipper: Aang!
Sokka: Hi… Aang… Thanks for coming.
Zuko's men suddenly surrounded Aang, But he quickly blew snow at them, including Zuko, who held his ground.
Aang: Looking for me?
Zuko: You're the last airbender? You're the Avatar?
Katara: Avatar?
Dib: Him?
Sokka: No way.
JacK: Hah! I knew it!
Zuko immediately began circling Aang.
Zuko: I've spent years preparing for this encounter, Training, Meditating, You're just a child!
Aang: Well You're just a teenager.
Zuko: Yeah well… You're not even the main Hero of this story!
Dipper: Well You're not even the main villain!
Dipper: Hey! Hey! Can stay on script here people?
Both Aang and Zuko stared at Dipper.
Dipper: What?
Aang: If I go with you, Will you leave everyone alone?
Zuko nodded, Aang was then grabbed by two guards and marched off to the ship.
Dipper: No Aang Don't do this!
Aang: It'll be okay, I'll find a way out, I hope.
Zuko: Head a course for the Fire Nation, I'm going home!
Once they boarded the ship, The Gangplank was raised and the ship pulled out of the Village.
Later.
Two hours later, The villagers were still recovering from Zuko's Attack, Meanwhile Dipper, Jack,and Katara stood at the water's edge, gazing out into the Sea.
Jack: We just lost a great hope…
Dipper: Now what do we do?
Mark and the others soon came up to them.
Mark: I don't know… But the best we can do now is just… I honestly don't know…
Mac: Well at least the Emerald is safe, right?
Katara: What Emerald?
Mac: Uh? Oh uh…
Katara: What are you guys talking about?
Dipper looked to his Uncle.
Dib: Should we?
Mark: There's no point hiding it now.
Katara: Hiding What now?
Dipper pulled something out of his coat. It was the Chaos Emerald, he put it in his own Coat after the attack, Katara gasped at the mere sight of it.
Katara: That's… Where did you find this?
Mark: In a mineshaft near the shores of Westside Island, We were on our way back to Caer Dathyl with it, but we were attacked by Lord Jargafar's lieutenants. That's why our ship crashed, And now… Well, I think you can see the current predicament.
Jack: Not to mention we just let someone just as important fall into the wrong hands…
Dipper: Then we have to get that someone back.
Katara: Dipper's right, Aang saved my tribe, Now we have to save him.
Sokka: Katara-
Katara: Why can't you realize he's on our side, Sokka!? If we don't help him, No one will, I know you don't like Aang but we-
Sokka: Katara! Are you gonna talk all day or are you coming with me?
While everyone else was talking, Sokka had gotten a canoe ready.
Vana: You expect us all to fit in that tiny thing?
Sokka: Let's get in, We've got to save Katara's boyfriend!
Katara: He's not my boyfriend!
Gran Gran: What do you all think you're doing?
Sokka and Katara looked nervously, Until Mark began to step in.
Mark: Mam, We're sorry for the trouble we've caused… But your niece and nephew-
Gran Gran: will need these.
She held up a bundle of provisions for the group,
Gran Gran: You all have a long journey ahead of you.
Dipper: Really?
Mark: Ma'am How can we ever…
Gran Gran: No, Thank you Lieutenant, It's been so long since I've had hope, But you all brought it back to life, Your team and my grandchildren.
She embraced Katara.
Gran Gran: Be safe my little waterbender, and you my brave warrior, Be nice to your sister.
She then hugged Sokka.
Sokka: Yeah, Okay Gran.
Gran Gran: If Aang is the Avatar, Hemay be but one of the world's best chances at defeating the Villain Factions, You all found him and this Emerald for a reason, Now all your destinies are intertwined with Aangs.
The Team, Now joined by Katara and Sokka, all let Gran Gran's words sink in.
Vana: Well after hearing that, There's no way we're gonna catch a warship with a canoe.
As if that were the Magic words, Appa himself came up over a hill.
Dipper: Appa!
Meanwhile,
Zuko held Aang's glider in his hands proudly.
Zuko: This staff will make an excellent gift for my father, I suppose you wouldn't know of fathers, Being raised by monks, Take the Avatar to the prison hold, Uncle. Take this to my chambers for me, I have to send a message to the fire nation.
He handed the staff to his uncle and went into the ships, Iroh then turned to the nearest guard.
Iroh: Hey, You mind taking this to his chambers for me?
He handed the staff to the guard before retreating inside the ship himself, Aang was Led below the deck of the ship by the two guards holding him, He stared at the guard with his staff until he was out of his line of vision, He walked down a long hallway between the two single file guards, attempting to make conversation.
Aang: So… I guess you never fought an airbender before, I bet I could take you both with my hands tied behind my back.
Guard 1: Silence.
The Guards stopped in front of a door, possibly leading to a prison cell, Aang took a deep breath and blew out his mouth, propelling him and the guard behind him backwards and onto the stairs, while the other guard was slammed against the door and knocked out, He than airbended back onto the deck and ran towards the inside! While the guard sounded the alarm!
Guard 2: The Avatars escaped!
Meanwhile,
The team all sat together on Appa as he swam across the water.
Sokka: Go… Fly… FLY!
But Appa wouldn't budge.
Vana: What was it he kept saying? Yip Yip?
Then, Appa suddenly began to rise into the air!
Dib: Holy shit!
Dipper: Vana you did it!
Jack: I knew he could do it!
Sokka: He's flying… He's Actually flying! Hes…
Sokka stopped mid sentence as everyone looked at him.
Sokka: I mean "big deal." He's flying.
Meanwhile,
Aang ran down the hallway, his hands still tied behind his back to be met by three guards with drawn Swords.
Aang: You haven't seen my staff around have you? (
He then proceeded to run right past them on the walls in corkscrew circles.
Aang Thanks anyway.
He jumps over a firebender and cuts himself free with the spikes on his helmet, then begins looking into several rooms for his staff. He once came across Iroh's room and looked inside, to find a sleeping Iroh.)
Aang: Sorry.
He quickly closed the door, eventually he reached Zuko's room and found his staff inside.
Aang: My staff!
But just as he was about to grab it, Zuko suddenly closed the door behind him.
Zuko: Looks like I underestimated you.
He began blasting fire at Aang, Who quickly dodged the attacks and eventually grabbed a tapestry and wrapped him up in it allowing him enough time to grab his staff, But before he could leave the room, Zuko broke free, Aang quickly Airbended his bed at him, which smashed him against the wall, then into the ceiling.
Zuko: Ow…
Zuko then Looks to find Aang is gone.
Meanwhile… And in the same area.
Aang airbended himself onto the bridge, rushed onto the observation deck and threw his glider and jumped onto it. At the same time, Zuko suddenly appeared and jumped after him in desperation, as he grabbed Aang's foot, forcing them both to fall onto the deck, As they both rose to their feet, Aang suddenly heard a low growl roar overhead, and looked up to see Appa coming towards them from on high!
Zuko: What is that?
Aang: Appa!
Aang's joy was cut short as he blocked a fire blast from Zuko, who repeatedly fired balls of fire at Aang nearly pushing him off the edge of the ship, Aang was eventually knocked into the water!
Katara: Aang!
Mark: Attack!
Appa got closer to the ship as the Team drew their Weapons, Suddenly Aang came out of the water in a whirlpool of water, His eyes and tattoos glowing.
Zuko: Holy…
Aang then landed on the deck and bent the water in a circle and used it to blast Zuko and his minions overboard.
Vana: Did you see what he just did?
Dipper: Now that was some waterbending.
Aang then fell down on the deck after that huge expenditure of energy, Appa landed not too far from him, allowing Dipper and Katara to quickly reach him.
Jack: Quickly, we must move!
Mac, Dib and Vana quickly pulled out some guns and fired on the coming Fire Nation soldiers as Aang slowly opened his eyes.
Aang: Hey guys, thanks for coming…
Vana: Hey, couldn't let you have all the glory.
Aang: I dropped my staff…
Sokka: I'll get it!
Sokka quickly ran to grab the staff only to find that Zuko was holding onto the other end.
Zuko: Give me the Avatar!
Sokka butted his head with the end of Aang's staff, causing Zuko to fall and grab the anchor chain with one hand.
Sokka: Yeah! That's from the Water tribe!
Mark: C'mon, we have to move!
Mark quickly blocked a fireball with his shield.
Guards: get em!
Katara picked up a stream of water from the deck and tried to whip the guards with it, only to freeze the water on the deck and freeze Sokka instead.
Sokka: Katara!
The soldiers began to advance on them.
Mark: Everyone keep them busy! Katara! Get Aang to Appa! Vana! Get Sokka!
Vana: On it!
She hurried off, Mac and Dib continued to fire on the Soldiers, Who quickly took cover the ship's interior to avoid the Bullets, However, A few of them still managed to get close enough to engage, Katara was trying to free Sokka herself, she montined the water away, only for said water to splash onto the guards and freeze them in place! She turns around to see them frozen.
Katara: Oh, SOrry!
Meanwhile, Vana quickly freed Sokka with a simple kick at the ice.
Mark: Everybody Get on!
As soon as everyone was on board, Appa took off into the air, Just as Iroh emerged from the ship after his nap and looked up at the retreating beast.
Iroh: Huh?
Dib: I think we're home free.
Back on the ship, Iroh helped Zuko up to the deck.
Zuko: Take them down!
Zuko and Iroh joined together and shot a combined blast of fire that shot towards the Heroes!
Vana: Or not.
Mac: Get Back!
Mac pulled out a bazooka and fired it at the fireball, Both projectiles colliding at the same time, the resulting explosion caused an avalanche that buried the front of Zuko's ship, The team cheered in victory as they flew away, Zuko continued to stare after them with gritted teeth.
Iroh: Good news for all villains, One of the few things that can bring their end, Is just a little kid.
Zuko: That Kid, Uncle, Knew airbending like the back of his hand, I won't underestimate him again, Or those Freedom Watch Warriors, Dig the ship out and follow them!
He then backtracked as he saw his firebenders thawing out the three frozen soldiers.
Zuko: As soon as you're done with that.
MeanWhile,
Dipper: Why didn't you tell us you were the Avatar?
Aang: Because… I never wanted to be.
Mark: Well… We all end up being things we don't want to be… Now we have to get to Caer Dathyl and Fast.
Jack: Yes, Prime Commander Gwydion will know what to do.
Dipper: Guess that's a good place to start.
Katara: Yes, Maybe we'll even go to the north pole, and find a waterbender.
Sokka: And I wouldn't mind knocking up a few rats and weasels along the way.
Vana: Yeah, I'm down for that.
Mark: Then it's agreed, We're all in this together.
Dipper: Here, Here.
And so it was, that as Appa continued to soar through air, The Quest of these brave Heroes had truly begun.
Meanwhile… Yes I'm gonna be saying this alot, just deal with it.
?: So you had the Emerald and you LOST IT?!
Eggman: Forgive us Lord Jargafar, We did not mean for this to happen!
Lord Jargafar: Did you at least investigate the craft?
Tak: No sir, It exploded before we could reach it, However the crew may yet be alive, We can track them and seize the emerald from them.
The figure on screen was All in the shadows with glowing red eyes, coming out of a dark cloak.
Lord Jargafar: You'd better, I am not one to tolerate failure as you three idiots know all too well… I suggest you set to work on it, Infact, I command it.
