0% Survival Rate! Chopper vs Ohm
With only 1 hour left until Eneru's deadline, time is quickly running out and only 27 survivors remained. After finally defeating the rotund, Yama, and discovering Shandora, the fable ancient City of Gold, Robin, Sareena, and Leon stumbled something even more astonishing.
Upper Yard, Ruins of Shandora
While the battle between the Shandorians and the Divine Warriors continued along with Robin, Sareena, and Leon able to find these ruins while discovering a Poneglyph, and the rest of the Straw Hats tried to either find a way out of the island or try to catch up with the other, Chopper is climbing up on the Giant Jack. Despite his size, he was able to climb up without using his Rumble Ball or the Devil Fruit with an impressive height, but it left him exhausted. He kept on climb and looking up to see a cloud that covers part of the Giant Jack. He starts to struggle a little, but he continued to climb up to get to the ruins and tried to be the first pirate who finds the City of Gold which he failed to realize that Robin, Sareena, and Leon found it first, but only to find the Poneglyph and the discovery of the ruins called Shandora, City of Gold.
"Almost there, I can't wait to see the look on all of their faces when they find out I discovered the gold first." Chopper pants, smiled at that as he continued to climb up to the cloud.
But once he made up of the clouds, his head pops up and began to notice some more ruins of Shandora.
"Look at those ruins." Chopper said to himself, got out of the clouds and walking to the ruins, which left him losing his balance and stumbled down. "What's up with this place? The grounds all crooked. Guess I'll go this way."
Chopper recovers, standing up and carefully walking sideways while trying not to trip again. He then got his balance, continued to look at the ruins of Shandora with amazed look on his face. He was also eager to look for the gold and getting to see the look on his crews' face.
"Gold, gold." Chopper said, but stops with his eyes widen when he heard a growl that was coming close from behind.
"No Holy, stay!" The voice of Ohm ordered, but Holy growls again since he wanted to eat him. "No! I said stay!"
Chopper slowly looks over his shoulder and noticed Holy growls as he then lays on the ground to comply his master's order. He starts to drop his jaws, showing his shark-like teeth and budging his eyes with a scream while sticking his tongue out, terrified of his size it made him lose his hat and antlers. It made him very scared of that giant dog, he wants to go back and find his crew.
'What was I thinking?! I too little to do this all by myself, I should've gone back!' Chopper mentally whines with blank eyes and his mouth agape as Holy blinks his eyes while tried to stay awake, and Ohm sitting on the ruins, looking at the reindeer since he noticed something about him and remembered him fighting against Gedatsu.
"Interesting. You're the third one to make it this far today." Ohm said, earned his attention.
"Who are you?" Chopper questions.
"I can't believe that spider-headed fool was so careless." Ohm groans in annoyance, which he's mentioned Gedatsu and him being careless that cost him being defeated by Chopper. "You killed Gedatsu, didn't you?"
'I guess he means that guy from earlier.' Chopper mentally thought with a flinch, remembered fighting against Gedatsu as he nods.
"I suppose it's for the best, the world is better off with one less imbecile, wouldn't you agree?" Ohm said with a groan, but Chopper can only stay silent in respond.
Despite being outnumbered by a giant dog and a priest, Chopper wouldn't stand a chance against any of them. He slowly steps back, attempted to flee when he steps on the heavily wound Shandorian which caused him to stumble to the ground.
"What the? I tripped over-" Chopper said, sat up and noticed a Shandorian as he shrieks with a gasp in horror, screams with budging bloodshot eyes and shark-like teeth, waving his hooves around and glances in between him and Holy.
"Calm yourself, there's no need to be so afraid of Holy. He's merely a pet." Ohm assures him, but it's not convincing the reindeer otherwise. "He won't bite you."
"But what about this guy?! He looks like he's been chewed up and spit out on!" Chopper complains with a shout.
"I assure you, Holy is a very well-trained dog, he would never bite anyone." Ohm scoffs. "It was I who attacked that man."
It got Chopper shocked of his statement, it causes him to budge his eyes and dropped his jaws, showing his shark-like teeth with panic.
"Are you crazy?! Who are you!?" Chopper exclaims. "Why would you do something like that?!"
"I'm Skybreeder, Ohm." Ohm told him, but Chopper kept ranting. "Now would you please be quiet. Do you think I'm not sadden by what's taking place here?"
This made Chopper stop rambling and looking at Ohm in confusion, but notices the tears on his left eye.
"I don't understand, why do men choose to fight when they must know how fragile their lives are?" Ohm questions.
"I'm not really sure." Chopper answered, not following.
"Man was put here to find happiness. Yet time after time, they throw themselves into battle, only to lose their lives along with the joy they've struggled so hard to find." Ohm explains, wiping the tear from his eye with his finger. "When a strange and tragic thing is man's nature...there is only one way to be redeemed..."
Chopper is still confused, wondering what he means by redeeming himself when Ohm gives him the answer.
"...And that is all men to die." Ohm told him which made Chopper budging his eyes and dropped his jaws in dread.
"Oh please, sir, you don't really mean that do you!?" Chopper exclaims, waving his arms around. "This is bad!"
"What have you come here for?" Ohm questions, looking at Chopper with serious yet menacing look on his face.
"Oh, I was just trying to find the City of Gold." Chopper answered nervously.
"Greed only leads to ruin!" Ohm snapped which made Chopper confused. "You must be rescued."
"You want to rescue...me?" Chopper asks as Ohm stands up and readied his sword.
"Only losing your life will save you from your earthly desires!" Ohm declared, making Chopper dropped his jaws with his face pale.
'He doesn't want to rescue me at all!?' Chopper mentally shouts, now realizing that he doesn't have any other options but to fight him.
Upper Yard
Meanwhile, Raki is using her waver skis to glide on the Milky Road to look for her tribe and see if they need help, also look for the Divine Warriors to fight. However, she felt something very wrong, mainly because she notices the bodies of the Shandorians and the Divine Warriors are being charred and either knocked out or dead.
'But why? Why was everyone charred black?! It was almost as if...they've all been struck by a bolt of lightning...' Raki mentally thought after investigating the wounded fighters, but widens her eyes when she saw a charred Kamakiri at the edge of the ground which made her shocked. "Kamakiri!?"
She then lands on the ground, running to him.
"Kamakiri!" Raki called him as she drops her gun and her bag, kneeling down to him with worry.
"...Raki...is. that. you?" Kamakiri asks weakly with a pant.
"Yes." Raki answered.
"Go...get out of here, Raki." Kamakiri warns her.
"Why? Tell me." Raki asks, confused and wondering why she would need to leave the battlefield.
"Wyper...he's headed...to God's Shrine, but Eneru isn't there." Kamakiri explains. "There's. still time, Raki...Stop Wyper..."
"Alright, I understand. Now quiet, save your strength." Raki told him, watching him tried to draw his breath after the fight against Eneru.
"Nobody can beat. Eneru." Kamakiri said weakly, remembered of his defeat against Eneru who uses his Devil Fruit power to struck him with lightning and mocking him to remind him that he's 'Living Lightning' which made him teary eyed. "Raki, hear me...He comes as lightning, an element that man has feared from the beginning and rightfully so..."
"Don't worry, I'll stop Wyper. You just wait here and save your energy." Raki suggested before grabbing the bag, placing it on his hand. "I'm going to leave Aisa's bag with you."
And with that, Raki stood up, grabbing hold of her gun and starts using her waver skis to glide back up to the Milky Road to go find Wyper and warn him. She then remembered of Kamakiri telling her that no one can beat Eneru, which she begins to understand how her tribe and the Divine Warriors being charred by his power.
'Kamakiri is so strong, yet his will has been broken.' Raki mentally thought when her hand is shaking, but regained her composure. 'If what he said is true, then Eneru's eaten a Logia-type Devil Fruit, the most powerful kind of all. I've got to stop Wyper before it's too late!'
And with that, Raki rides on to find Wyper and stop him for getting himself killed by Eneru.
While somewhere in the jungle area at the Upper Yard, Zoro continued to move in the opposite direction and the South Bird continued to follow him, trying to tell the swordsman that he's heading the wrong direction.
"Hmm, I've been here, it looks familiar. Or have I..." Zoro muttered, confused when he noticed that he's at the Sacrificial Altar and without the Going Merry. "Maybe, well maybe not. Huh, I'm not sure."
The South Bird starts stifling its laugh, finds it funny that Zoro got himself lost because of his bad sense of direction and it got him irritated.
"ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME, HUH?!" Zoro yelled with white eyes, tick mark, and shark-like teeth after throwing his bag at the South Bird in the eye which it made the bird annoyed as it caws at him. "What are you so worked up for anyway?! The only reason you came along in the first place is to get some food! My bad sense of direction shouldn't matter, ya dummy!"
The South Bird looks down and sees the bag, thinking that Zoro still had some food inside since he ate his bento lunch and not sharing last time. While the South Bird starts drooling over for the food, it got Zoro noticed.
"No, no, no!" Zoro protested, but the South Bird grabs hold of the bag and flies in the air, making the swordsman getting dragged along with it. "Hey! Let go of that, you feather-brained jerk! There's no more food in there! HEEEYYYYYY! Where are you taking us?!"
The South Bird caws in respond, dragging Zoro in the right direction to the ruins of Shandora.
Somewhere inside of snake's belly
While inside of the snake's belly, Luffy is still wandering aimlessly without knowing where he was going, looking for a way out while singing it led him to a dead end which to be the end of a snake's tail.
"There it is." Luffy said, but shocked as he taps it. "It's a dead end!"
He then turns his head that would lead him to the opposite direction, much to his annoyance.
"You can't be serious! I walked all this way?" Luffy complains, but turns back to a dead end and it made his curious. "Maybe...maybe it's a trick door."
He then smirks in determination, licking his lips as he throws his stick away and winds up his fist.
"Let's find out. I can always try busting through this stupid thing." Luffy said as he then stretched his arms back. "Gum-Gum: Bazooka"
He then delivers a double palm strike right at the end of the tail with sheer force, but it didn't affect the snake which led him to dismay.
"But it, it didn't even budge." Luffy said in shock, but starting to hear a loud rumbling sound that's coming from outside as the giant snake moves downward, making him and the rubble fall. "AAAAAHHHHHH! NOT AGAAAAAAAIIIIIIIINNNNN!"
Upper Yard, Ruins of Shandora
Meanwhile back in the ruins, the loud scream was hearing, and Chopper ran in panic while tried to avoid fighting against Ohm and Holy. Apparently, Chopper has been running all over the place and both Ohm and Holy didn't even chase after him because of how fast he ran. Chopper then stops, hiding from behind the ruin with a heavy pant while looking at the view, hoping that the priest and his dog didn't chase him since he just finished his fight against Gedatsu.
"He didn't follow me, I'm okay." Chopper said to himself as he then hides behind to catch a breather. "I bet he's a priest too, but it looks like there's a lot of places to hide around here. If I can just stay hidden long enough to escape, I can try meet up with the others."
Chopper then takes a few steps back to make sure he's not followed, then turns away and walks out.
"I have to make sure he doesn't see me. He looked like a swordsman, so if I keep my distance, I should be okay." Chopper said.
However, Ohm somehow follows him, but unlike any of his fellow priests, he's patient and he uses his 'Mantra' to find the reindeer without even wasting his time pursuing or using his giant dog to seek him. He was just walking while using 'Mantra' to observe his surroundings, looking for him.
"Huh, he's run quite a long way, but running from salvation is futile. Attachment to this life is a result of evil desires." Ohm said as he readied his sword. "Therefore..."
But once he pulls his sword, he slashes in a great distance and his blade is starting to expand at its length, shattering the ruin and slashed Chopper, who grunts in pain and the blood splattered.
"The path to peace leads to the one place...this is the Ordeal of Iron. The survival rate is 0." Ohm said sinisterly.
Upper Yard
Outside of the Upper Yard, Nami and the others are waiting for the rest of the Straw Hats to get back with gold, but unfortunately, with Eneru making his move and wiping out most of the Shandorians and the Divine Warriors, they'll just have to get back in the island while try to find their crew which they're probably at the ruins by now. Aisa, however, widens her eyes with a gasp when she uses her 'Mantra' to sense Chopper being hit by Ohm.
"ANOTHER VOICE DISAPPEARED!?" Aisa screamed which it got their attention. "I can't just sit here, I've got to go find Raki!?"
"Don't even think about it!?" Ventus said, sprouts his tail to grab hold of Aisa as she struggles. "I'm not letting you go on your own, you'll just get killed!"
"Leave me alone, I've got to save Raki! Let go! I've got to get out of here right now!" Aisa said with a shout. "Let go, this isn't any of your business!?"
"When it comes to Eneru involving our crew and tried to take them down, this makes it our business!" Ventus retorted with a glare. "And what good would that do if you ever try going out there on your own?! You're just a kid!"
"I'm a warrior!" Aisa argued, glances over at the young Dragoon.
"I don't care! You're nothing but a little brat who's way over your head!" Ventus argued back, dilating his eyes like a dragon. "And don't think those dirty looks can work on me, so you either knock it off or I'll give you a good spanking!"
While inside of the snake's belly, Luffy heard something as he turns and it made him scream when the water swept him, leaving him drowning. Conis, Pagaya, Caius, and Nami turns at the deck, watches Ventus spanks Aisa with his dragon talon which made them cringe, and seeing the young Shandorian getting smacked in the butt with a yelp in pain.
"Uh, Ventus, what are you doing?" Pagaya asks with concern.
"Just giving that brat some discipline." Ventus answered, then stops spanking. "Now, are you gonna stop being a brat?"
"You don't understand! You have to let me go, so I can-"
Ventus then cuts her off by spanking Aisa again, making her yelp in pain.
"I'm just about had enough and I'm gonna do a helluva lot worse than spanking if you don't knock it off!" Ventus snapped in annoyance which made Aisa looks at him in teary eyes. "And don't think crying will help. Look, you don't wanna end up like Sanji and Usopp, do you? Well, Aisa?"
Aisa couldn't give him an answer since the young Dragoon made a valid point, but it won't stop her for saving Raki. Ventus can tell she's serious about going to the Upper Yard and look for her, which caused him to sigh as he puts her down while Aisa rubbing her sore cheeks. He then sprouts his wings, grabs hold of her.
"Alright, but if you try to struggle, I'll drop you and leave you alone, you hear me." Ventus warns her.
But before he could take flight, the giant snake merges out of the water as it made a belch sound. Aisa shrieks in fright as Nami, Caius, Pagaya, Conis, and Ventus turned their heads, widen their eyes in dread and horror when they saw the giant-sized snake when it glances at them, making them flinch.
"Oh no!" Nami and Ventus said quickly.
Luffy was able to survive from the water, but pants heavily and walks out of the cloud water with a cough as he takes a breather.
"Okay...that was scary...What's with this lame cave anyhow?" Luffy complains with a question, coughs. "First, there was an earthquake and a flood of ocean clouds...I could've drowned! You hear me! OPEN UP!?"
Luffy then delivers a kick to the flesh of a snake, which made the giant snake screams in pain, and it got Conis, Aisa, and Pagaya screams in fright.
"Why is it going crazy!?" Nami shouts in dread.
"LET ME OUTTA HERE!? GUM-GUM: GATLING" Luffy then lets out a barrage of punches at the flesh of a snake and not realizing he's hurting it as the giant snake screeches more, causing Ventus to hold on to Aisa and flying while both Caius and Nami rides the waver, not realizing they're heading back in the Upper Yard which the snake is pursuing after them.
"Nami, Caius, Ventus, no! That way leads to the forest!" Pagaya warned them, but they didn't hear it because of them being chased.
"Nami! Caius! Ventus!" Conis shouts with a scream in panic. "What do we do? They've got into the forest."
Upper Yard
While at the Upper Yard, a Shandorian and a Divine Warrior continued the fight which leaving them battered and beaten after trading blows to each other.
"Missed!"
"Hah! You're lucky!"
They then landed, about to continue the fight when they heard a loud tremoring sound that's coming from the distance.
"What's that?"
Then, the scream of Nami and Aisa was heard as they, Ventus and Caius were continued to flee through the Milky Road.
"Who's that?"
"I don't know! Something's coming!"
The sound of tremoring is getting louder, causing the tree to break apart as the giant snake out of the dust with its mouth wide open. It got them scream in panic as they tried to escape from the snake while Nami points her finger at the opposite direction.
"GO THAT WAY! THAT WAY!" Nami screamed without looking, but the Divine Warrior panicked and the Shandorian noticed Aisa riding with Ventus.
"LORD OF THE SKY!?"
"No way! Aisa!?"
Both the Shandorian and the Divine Warrior screamed as the giant snake swallowed them whole, slithered away while Nami and Ventus stopped. They panted heavily, mostly Nami and Aisa, able to get away from the giant snake in a far-off distance, but it made them realize that they're back in the Upper Yard.
"We're inside...the forest..." Nami said.
"Looks like we're gonna have to find a way out, hopefully our crew made it back without any trouble." Ventus said, sighed. "Then again, we've always got ourselves into trouble."
"Yeah, we should get moving." Nami suggested in agreement. "Let's just hope we don't run into that giant snake again."
And with that, they're continuing on the Milky Road to look for their crew and Raki. While at the sky, Zoro is still holding onto the bag and getting dragged by the South Bird.
"Um, hey! What's the idea?! Are you even listening to me?!" Zoro shouts with a question, earned a caw from the South Bird which it got him annoyed. "I'm gonna pluck you and cook you up into a stew!"
The South Bird glanced down, and Zoro looks down when they heard a loud sound that's coming from below. The giant snake merged out of the trees, opened its mouth and about to eat which made them scream in panic as Zoro lifted his legs up, barely dodged the bite. The Sout Bird panics as well, tries to fly higher to get away from the snake.
"Hey, come on! Fly higher, I don't want to be giant snake food!?" Zoro shouts, which the South Bird caws in panic while the giant snake watches with a growl. "Can't you fly any faster, you dumb bird!?"
The giant snake then pursues after them while blending in with the trees which made Zoro noticed.
"It's still coming after us! Something must've really pissed it off!" Zoro shouts, earned a caw from the South Bird.
However, the South Bird thought of an idea of getting rid of Zoro, thinking that the giant snake wants the food and the swordsman, but it made the bird grimaced when it realizes that the huge reptile is after both of them. It then thinks that the giant snake will go after Zoro while flying away. With that in mind, the South Bird tosses the bag and Zoro, much to his dismay.
"WHY YOOOOUUUU!?" Zoro yelled with budging bloodshot eyes and shark-like teeth, falling while the giant snake noticed him falling from a far distance.
Ruins of Shandora
Meanwhile, Wyper was able to make it to the ruins thanks to his waver skis, as he climbs up to the Giant Jack while jumping at a fast pace to get to the God's Shrine to kill Eneru which he doesn't realize that he's not there anymore.
"To make it to God's Shrine, I have to climb to the top of the Giant Jack...and if Eneru is there, it's time I brought an end to our terrible history once and for all." Wyper said with a snarl, ready to fight and kill Eneru.
But unknown to the Shandorian leader, Ohm is waiting for him since he was able to win an easy fight, more like finding Chopper with his 'Mantra'. He's also guarding the God's Shrine in order to prevent any Shandorians to climb up with the Giant Jack.
"Now." Ohm said, draws out his sword and lets out a slash, which is heading to Wyper, who noticed it and stops by using his waver skis to leap in the air, lands on the ground with a few feet back as he turns to the priest. "Wyper, if you climb that vine any farther, you'll reach God's Shrine. What makes you think you have permission to pass?"
"Damn you..." Wyper growls, stands up and looks at Ohm, who walks away when Gan Fall and Pierre arrived at the top of the ruin with his narrowed eyes and crossed his arms.
"It doesn't matter, heading for that Shrine is no longer useful." Gan Fall told them which it got their attention.
"Gan Fall!?" Wyper exclaims as Pierre caws with the 'pierre'. "What business do you have here?! Still can't let go of your old position?!"
"No, but I still have responsibilities I've yet to fulfill." Gan Fall said as Ohm reached at the top of the ruin, crossed his legs next to Holy. "I thought you might be interested in knowing I've recently come from God's Shrine."
Wyper doesn't want to admit that Eneru isn't at the God's Shrine anymore, but the atmosphere is starting to grow intense as Gan Fall remembered of what happened to his subordinates and the shrine.
"It's tragic the entire thing has been utterly destroyed." Gan Fall said, remembered of the shrine in ruins along with the subordinates being charred by the hands of Eneru. "Naturally, Eneru is nowhere to be found. Perhaps it means he no longer has any need for it."
'It appears that their years of hard labor are over. You see, this island is no longer useful to me. I've simply come to bid you farewell.'
With those words echoed on Gan Fall's mind, it finally made him realize why Eneru no longer need the Shrine or the subordinates which made him angry.
"I demand to know Ohm, what is it you and your master seek to do?!" Gan Fall demands which Ohm respond in silent while Wyper turns to him.
"Hold on! You're saying Eneru's not up there?" Wyper questions, wanted to know the answer as Zoro screamed and crashed into the ruin next to him.
Soon as the dust cleared up, Zoro pushes the ruin aside and pants heavily with his nose bleeding.
"One of Straw Hats friends." Wyper muttered, not in the mood to fight him.
"Gah...Ow...That bird's gonna pay..." Zoro grunts in pain.
"It's you!?" Gan Fall exclaims in shock as Pierre felt the same, but Zoro pulls his head up and it got him confused.
"Where am I?" Zoro asks when the giant snake appeared in the ruins as well with a roar, slithering up to the Giant Jack. "More ruins..."
He then turns his head left and right, noticed Wyper and Ohm on the opposite sides.
"These guys all look pretty tough. Oh well." Zoro said, then turns to Ohm with his blade ready. "Hey! Hand over the gold!"
"Look what we have here, if it isn't another greedy infidel seeking his salvation." Ohm said with a smirk.
"Enough!" Wyper shouts. "Get out of my way or I'll destroy every one of you!?"
"The time has come, Ohm! Tell me where Eneru and the Divine Squad are!" Gan Fall shouts as all four of the fighters getting ready for a fight.
Meanwhile, Luffy still wants to get out by punching which made the giant snake cried in pain and merged out of the clouds with a scream. Robin, Sareena, and Leon continued the investigation in the ruins when they noticed a Poneglyph.
"Not sure you each feel what you have to say is important, but there's only one way for your voice to be heard, you must survive or find salvation." Ohm said as the fight about to begin.
