They all finish eating and clean up the table. Ingo and Emmet put on their coats and hats while Izuku slips on his shoes. "All ready to head down the tracks Izuku?" Ingo asks. "Yes I'm ready to go Mr Ingo," Izuku smiles at Ingo. Ingo and Emmet gently take Izuku's hands and lead him out of the house, locking the door behind them as they head down the road. "Um Mr Ingo, Mr Emmet I have a question?" Izuku asks while looking up at them. "What's the question?" Emmet asks while looking down at Izuku.
"What are Pokémon ?" Izuku asks. Ingo and Emmet look at each in shock that they forgot to tell him about Pokémon and how they are an important part of everyday life. "Well Pokémon are wonderful creatures that come in all shapes and sizes. They are a part of daily life here. We also have different events from contests to battles," Emmet replies. "Indeed Pokémon trainers like Emmet and I catch, train, and battle Pokémon as our jobs. For example we are the Subway bosses in charge of Nimbasa City Subways and do subway battles with our Pokémon on the trains," Ingo adds in. "Wow Pokémon sound amazing and your jobs Mr. Ingo and Mr. Emmet sounds incredible," Izuku replies smiling. They smile back at Izuku, glad to see him happy. They lead him the rest of the way through Gear Station to their office.
"Okay Izuku, Ingo and I have some paperwork to do. So we are going to have two of our Pokémon that can keep you company until we are done. All aboard Chandelure!" Ingo says releasing Chandelure from its Pokéball. " All Aboard Galvantula!" Emmet says while releasing Galvantula. Izuku looks in awe at the two before saying, "It's very nice to meet you Chandelure and Galvantula." "Galvantula, Chandelure meet Izuku. We are his guardians for the foreseeable future. Please be gentle with him," Ingo says. The two nod before moving over to Izuku and start playing with him. Ingo and Emmet smile before heading over to their desks and start doing the paperwork that needed to be done. This went on for a few hours with Izuku's giggles getting their attention every once in a while. A knock at the door "Come in," Ingo calls. A young man walks in "A trainer is challenging the single battle lines." " Alright let's head on out." Ingo says while recalling Chandelure. "Well Ingo, Izuku and I are going with you. This will be the perfect chance to show Izuku a Pokémon battle," Emmet adds on while recalling Galvantula. "Great idea Emmet," Ingo replies. They walk over to Izuku and take his hands while leaving the office. They head down to the single battle train getting into the last car. Sitting down they activate the screen showing the first car battle arena to see the trainer sending out their first Pokémon.
"So Izuku in a battle is all about strategy, your Pokemon might be weak to the typing of the other. A good strategy can turn a weakness into a strength," Emmet says while watching the battle. Izuku watches in amazement as the trainer's tranquil uses an aerial ace to knock out the opponent swadloon. "There are eighteen types of Pokemon starting; fire, water, grass, ground, rock, electric, normal, bug, flying, poison, steel, dark, psychic, ghost, fighting, ice, dragon, and fairy. The types have weaknesses, strengths, and are immune to other types." Ingo adds on as the trainer makes it past the first car while only using this tranquil. "That's amazing there are so many different types, you have to come up with hundreds of different strategies…," Izuku says then leads off to a mutter storm of different strategies that Ingo and Emmet are barely able to keep up with. They stare at each other in disbelief at Izuku's intelligence. Then Izuku gasps, putting both hands over his mouth and hunches in on himself.
"Izuku are you ok?" Ingo asks, startled by Izuku's sudden actions. Izuku nods, still keeping his hands over his mouth. Seeing that Izuku is not willing to talk, Ingo says, "If you think we are mad about anything you just said, we aren't. It was very actually amazing hearing all those strategies that you came up with on the spot like that." Izuku looks at them carefully before taking his hands off his mouth. "You're not mad?" Izuku asks. "No we are not mad at you for saying what you are thinking," Emmet says happily. Before anything else could be said the intercom went off "Trainer lost heading back to station." They look back up to see the trainer returning their last Pokémon. "Izuku, did the people you know think your mutterings were a bad thing?" Emmet questions. "Yeah they thought it was creepy how I could dissect their quirks and come up with strengths and weaknesses. They would call me mean names and sometimes even tape my mouth shut." Izuku answers while looking at the screen. "Well they were wrong, you have a wonderful gift, Izuku. That kind of thinking will take you far in life. Emmet and I definitely don't think it's creepy, we think it's just amazing intelligence you have. We won't let anyone hurt you like ever again," Ingosays with Emmet nodding in agreement. Izuku tilts his head curiously when he looks at them, seeing something in their faces before nodding with a smile. "Now that our work for the day is done we can go shopping for everything you need," Ingo says standing up as the train stops in the station.
