Yuya was just walking out of his house after spending more than an hour choosing his clothes for the occasion, he had finally had opted for a red tuxedo, with matching trousers and shoes.
Just then his mom called for him, she had something to say before he went.
"Remember Yuya, don't be too late in coming home" She said in a maternal tone.
"Sure, you already told me that a milion of times, now I have to go, I don't want to be late in picking Celina up" He soon realized that he maybe did a mistake in saying that.
His mother's eyes opened widely with a shocked expression.
"Are you going to the party with a girl? My boy is finally making moves, you also look pretty handsome tonight" She united her hands overjoyed.
"Mom, please, don't embarass m even more..." Yuya said with a big blush on his face.
His mom then put her hands on his shoulders, her expression was very serious now.
"Do you like this girl?" She asked him.
"Honestly yes..." He didn't want to lie to his mother.
"That's the first step, admitting it, does she know?" As a mother she had to know everything about her son's romantic life.
"Not really, but my plan was to change that tonight, I'll tell her" Yuya said with determination.
It was shocking how much his son has grown.
"Go then, I won't make you lose anymore time... Celina you said? You will make me and your father know her, right?" His mother smiled turning to get back home.
"I'll do my best to make that happen" Yuya waved to his mather before making his way to the Boyle's house.
Mainwhile Celina was getting ready herself for the evening, her father and Zuzu gifted her with a splendid blue dress, same shade of her hair, that reached her knees, adorned with silver hearings, and white long gloves for her hands, she also had some matching high heels on her feet to complete the look.
She knew this wasn't her style, she has never dress up in the past, heck she rarely used something else that wasn't her Duel Academy Uniform or her usual black shirt and red jacket with shorts and boots.
"Zuzu and dad were so sure he will love this, I really hope so..." She thought as she finished her make up.
"Ok, I'm ready" She said as she looked at herself on the mirror, she then proceeded to go down the stairs towards the door.
"You are so beatiful! All eyes will be on both of my daughters tonight!" Mr. Boyle said as he had stars on his eyes again, Celina was slowly getting used to his antics.
"Thanks dad... Did Zuzu already go out?" She asked about her sister.
"Yeah, some minutes ago, she said she didn't want to interrupt when your boyfriend came to pick you up" He said with a smile.
"As I already said he isn't my boyfriend..." Celina had a big blush on her face.
"But you would like that, right?" Mr. Boyle could see through her very well.
"Well, he saved me and he's an awesome duelist... I'll be honest, I like him a lot" Celina admitted finally.
Mr. Boyle was so happy that Celina was opening with him in such a personal matter.
"Just go for it, be sincere with yourself and with him, no guy could refure a gorgeous girl like you, Yuya is not an execption." He said finally before letting her go.
"Thanks again dad, I already had the intention of confess, but that really conforts me" Celina said with newfound determination.
Just then the bell started ringing.
"Have a fun evening!" Mr. Boyle said as he went up the stairs.
"Later dad!" She said before opening the door.
Useless to say that both were stunned at what they saw.
Celina was checking out Yuya in his elegant fit, while he was doing the same with hers.
"Hi Celina... you look gorgeous..." He said while blushing.
"Hi Yuya... you are pretty handome yourself..." She was in the same situation.
"Shall we go?" Yuya managed to say extending his hand to her.
"Sure, let's head out" Celina said as she took his hand in hers, still a little embarassed.
They closed the door and made their way downtown to Leo Institute.
As they walked they talked about their favourite topic, dueling.
"You dueled so perfectly in your last match, Leo Dancer is such a devastating card combined with Lunalight Fusion, also weilded by you, the opponent had no chance" He complimented her.
"Thanks, but I really liked the finishing move in yours with Rune Eyes, fusion summoning with the Pendulum Scale's effect was a spectacular move" She complimented in return.
"Oh, you know, whoever is the opponent I'll be..." He started before getting interrupted.
"Dueling my duel" She finished his sentence.
"Exactly, that's the spirit" He smiled.
"You inspired me, it became my moto too" She smiled back.
"I'm really glad about that, gifting smiles to everyone in the world is still my dream after all" He said looking toward the sky, her smile was the most precious in his eyes.
"I know, you managed to unite everyone in the Synchro Dimension already, one day you'll be able to do that for the whole world, and I'll be by your side to help you" She said as they looked at each other straight in the eyes, still hand in hand, they soon realised the had to get a move.
"Let's hurry or we'll be late" Celina urged.
"You're right" Yuya agreed.
They proceeded then to make their way to the party, a fun evening was waiting for them, maybe even more.
