Mario possessing the Sherm continued his firing on the other Sherms and any other enemies too big for the resistance fighters such as Sledge bros or too far away for them like the cloud riding Lakitus as other enemies that proved too hard like Spiny's were being swallowed by Yoshi who spat them back at their allies, Yoshi gave Mario a thumbs up assuring him of keeping this place safe allowing Mario to go after Roy himself.

FART

Mario's nose caught the sense of something coming towards him as he quickly released his hold on the Sherm which turned unfortunate as the fire gas engulfed it completely, despite not being caught in the line of fire Mario still waved his hand and clutched his nose from the smell "Here I thought your farts won't get any worst Wario."

"Gehehe thanks a ton" Wario said as his clothes served as extra indication to the gas fire that he's using the fire flower power up "This's it Mario time for you to pay up for your past transgressions."

"Wario listen-" Mario quickly jumped back as Wario threw a fireball at him cutting him off "Wario if-"

Again Wario showed no interests in listening to what Mario has to say as he kept belting numerous fireballs at his direction seeing no other option Mario dug into his pocket and ate the ice flower and ran towards Wario who responded by throwing fireballs at Mario who froze the fireballs with the ice powers as he reached Wario who turned back and farted at his direction forcing Mario to evade least he gets incinerated by the fire powered fart "Wario-ow!"

Wario dived in and kicked Mario's face in sending skidding back as Mario lost his ice powers, Wario clutched his fists which were now on fire as he reached Mario throwing punches towards him the first two connected burning Mario's cheeks as he skidded back again with Wario hot on his trail going for another punch which Mario jumped over and ground bounded Wario's head "AH!"

Wario clutched his head in pain as he lost his fire power providing Mario a small window to kick him on the back as he fell face first into the mud, Mario quickly mounted him as he pulled his head up "Wario listen we're not enemies we're family our enemy is-"

"SHUT UP!" Wario yelled as he pushed Mario off of him before he turned over he dug into his pocket bringing out a green Koopa shell which he kicked at Mario who easily halted it's movement with one foot "Gr your always been like that looking down on me."

Wario then rotated his arms and fists as he approached Mario with the offensive Mario was about to trip Wario with the Koopa shell but a fireball was fired at Mario's back leaving him vulnerable to Wario's offense which made him fall back hitting the ground, looking up Mario was met by none other than the very man he was aiming for Roy Koopa who held a wand in one hand and a giant canon on the other whilst his mouth had flames on it which was more than enough evidence that he's the one who attacked Mario.

Mario smashed his hand into the pavement forcing himself back on his knees as he fixed a glare on the two of them "Wario Roy is our enemy he and the Dark kingdom will put everyone under their heels it is our duty-"

"Still spouting none sense even after all that beating Mario Gehehe" Wario interrupted as Mario was about to speak again he again interrupted "Mario you don't have anything I want Roy and his rich dad on the other hand have riches which they can pay me with."

Roy aimed his canon and shot a bullet bill at Mario who jumped over the bill but was left to a punch from Wario which made him fall back hitting the ground, Mario turned to Wario about to hit him only for Roy to use the magical wand in his hand and create a Thwomp that stood in the way of the punch which stung Mario's hand allowing Wario to go around the giant spikey monster and deliver a kick to his side.

Mario skidded and rolled to the side upon impact, Yoshi seeing Mario in trouble quickly charged in but before he could even close any type of distance blades of light obstructed their path stopping the dinosaur who looked up to see Magikoopas being responsible as the dinosaur attempted to use his tongue at them a giant Thwomp of stone fell in front of Yoshi stopping the dinosaur as it had to fall least be crushed by the giant of rock.

Mario attempted to get back up but Wario jumped and landed on his back if that weren't enough Wario jumped two more times on Mario's back as Roy Koopa then shot a fireball hitting Mario straight in the face, Wario got off of his cousin as he picked him through his overalls back "Had enough Mario?"

Mario's answer came in the form of a back kick hitting Wario back forcing him to release him Roy shot another fireball which Mario evaded letting it hit Wario instead "HEY!"

Mario took advantage of the confusion regarding friendly fire between his enemies that he dug into his pocket and got a cape leaf out, eating it he was now adored with a yellow cape on his back Wario rushed towards Mario with a shoulder tackle as Mario took off the cape and used it to turn Wario back towards Roy ramming into him instead "HEY!"

"Consider it payback for burning me" Wario told his partner as he turned to Mario rushing towards him with an opened wide mouth as Mario jumped up and shut the mouth from above by landing right on top of Wario.

"Wario if you would give me a moment to explain myself and-"

"SHUT UP!" Wario cried out as he brought both of his hands up and clapped at were Mario stood prompting the man to fly above him letting Wario clap the air instead, Roy aimed his canon at Mario and shot a bullet bill at his direction which Mario evaded making his way towards Roy who kept firing and missing now within striking distance Roy opened his maw again for a fireball but Mario took off the cape and shot the fireball back at Roy burning his shades off.

The Koopaling tried to hold on to what's left of his shades but it was too late as only ash was in his claws "Your going to pay for these!"

Roy fired his canon again which Mario evaded letting the bullet bill make a beeline towards Wario who quickly evaded it and grabbed it from the side as he spun alongside it until it reached Mario's back causing Wario to smirk as he let go, unaware of this Mario reached to Roy who had his wand out only for the bullet bill to hit Mario on the back as he lost his power up and landed face first in front of Roy who at first was surprised before he exploded in laughter "HAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes Mario is down King dad will have me as his favourite kid."

"Hey don't forget who helped ya!" Wario said as he approached the Koopaling.

"Yes of course I'll make sure you get you just rewards" Roy assured.

Yoshi's eyes were widened at this "MARIO!"

This was all the distraction the giant stone Thwomp needed as loomed over Yoshi and faced down before falling forwards indicating a giant shadow for Yoshi who couldn't make it out int time unless it creates a shell for protection.

"HEYA!"

SHATTER

Yoshi stopped his defence as he looked up seeing rocks falling and the Thwomp not in sight not to mention a rather familiar figure standing before him, the figure turned around showing his smirk and unmistakeable red tie "Donkey Kong!"

"Yep sorry for being late" the Kong chieftain stated before the Magikoopas could as much as retaliate two peanuts were launched at them knocking them out, Diddy flew down on his barrel jetpack next to Donkey Kong "Where's Mario?"

"He's there and in big trouble" Yoshi answered pointing at Mario being underneath Roy and Wario.

Wario brought Mario's hands on the back whilst Roy confiscated the power ups he had on him, Wario felt someone tap on his shoulder which irritated him "Can you-"

POW

Wario was launched forwards pumping right into Roy launching both of them back "Hey wasn't ramming into me enough you big fat lard!"

"It wasn't on purpose" Wario pointed forwards at the giant figure of Donkey Kong who picked Mario up with Yoshi quickly bringing in the power ups with his tongue, he handed over a green mushroom to Donkey Kong who forced it down Mario's throat making a green glow around the red clothed plumber who returned to normal all wounds inflicted upon him gone.

Mario's eyes opened as he looked around until he saw Donkey Kong "Donkey Kong what are you doing here?"

"Helping out my friend what else?" Donkey Kong answered as he placed Mario down gently "Also getting back the crystal coconut."

"What about the law?" Yoshi asked.

"Well I'm chief and my word is law" Donkey Kong answered.

Cranky Kong stood with an agape mouth at the empty treehouse that belongs to Donkey Kong being completely empty with a note that read: 'Diddy and I went to the Metro federation to help Mario and get back the crystal coconut your in charge until I come back.'

Gritting his teeth the elder ape sat at the chair letting out a sigh "Higgins can you see this it appears our boys are saving the people we wanted to save together."

looking up at the roof he closed his eyes "Donkey please don't do anything rash I gave up everything back then just to protect you."

Roy and Wario eyes widened as now the numbers were no longer in their favour "So what now?"

Wario whispered to Roy "Distract them while I prepare my attack."

"By myself?" Wario half yelled.

"Do you see anyone else?" Roy retorted.

Wario gritted his teeth as he pulled up his sleeves giving back a stink eye to Roy "I better get triple amount the promised pay for this!"

Wario sharpened his shoulder as he rushed towards the trio with Donkey Kong easily blocking his offensive before he lifted him upwards and threw him back towards Roy if it weren't for Wario using his farts to propel himself upwards and launching himself like a missile towards the trio who scattered evading his front attack or rather his smell "Sheesh and Cranky says our banana peels smell bad."

Diddy waved his hand at his nose as Wario then targeted him positioning both of his arms forwards he launched himself at Diddy who quickly evaded him but Wario was relentless on his pursuit as Diddy took to the skies with Wario not far behind however just as Wario was about to catch Diddy's leg his gas ran out and he fell into the ground "AH!"

Diddy stopped his flight and landed right on top of Wario's big fat gut making him gag before he could capture Diddy Donkey grabbed him by the leg and lifted him upwards using the leg like a swing he circled Wario in the air like a pair of nun-chucks and launched him back at Roy who opened fire with a banzai bill that not only stopped Wario's momentum but kept going at the heroes before they could even think of an evasion Roy used his magical wand to create magic walls above and on the sides stopping the escape "Take that Mario!"

Mario turned to his ally Donkey "Can you hit the banzai bill back?"

"Not sure if we could still run I would hold it back" Donkey Kong answered.

"Guess Yoshi have to step in" Yoshi said as he clutched his fists.

"Yoshi?" Diddy asked as the dinosaur positioned himself in front of the group letting out eggs out of his body which caused it to shrink making Yoshi a slap of skin on top of bones, opening his mouth Yoshi launched his tongue forwards wrapping around the banzai bill and pulling it into his mouth though it was too big for Yoshi the dinosaur had already released weight inside of him through the eggs as he replenished himself by eating the banzai bill whole making Yoshi fat.

"Impossible a banzai bill is too big for a Yoshi to swallow" Roy was taken a back.

Yoshi who was now as big as a Sumo wrestler looked down "Normally yes but get rid of weight and Yoshi have enough room for anything big."

Mario and Donkey Kong gave Yoshi thumbs up as they then reached towards Roy who quickly pointed his weapon at them pulling the trigger but no bullets came out, Roy realized he ran out of ammo by fusing all of his remaining bullet bills into the giant banzai bill which is now being digested by Yoshi "No not like this!"

He got his wand out but a peanut hit the wand off of his hand being Diddy right before Roy could even think about going after it Cappy came out of Mario's cap and took the wand with him to the air, Roy retreated into his shell and launched himself upwards but was stopped like a speeding car whom driver hit the brakes letting his head out of his shell it was Donkey Kong getting hold of him "Kong Chieftain this city no this nation had wronged your people and threatened them will you really allow them to do that again?"

"That was long ago I'm not my dad I'm me mom always told me to move forwards and this's me moving everyone forwards!" Donkey stated as he launched Roy upwards before jumping in after him and smacking the living stuffing out of the Koopa before one last punch that launched the Koopa into the stars.

"Dark army your leader had fallen! I repeat your leader Roy Koopa had fallen any further fighting will result in you being dealt a worth punishment than the one already planned for you!" Cappy announced using the wand of Roy to maximize his voice volume for everyone to hear.

All over the rainy city the dark troops stopped resisting as the Metro liberation front gained upper hand ending the battle.

The rain of last night passed without leaving behind a single sign of it being there as the sun shone brightly on the now liberated New Donk city, Pauline now wearing a spare president outfit stood before her people "My people you were brave for enduring this occupation by belligerent forces but calling you brave means to call me weak which I was, despite taking oath of office to protect this land and her people I was powerless before the might of Roy Koopa."

Taking a moment to compose herself the aged president spoke again "My power the power of the people of this city alone wasn't enough long ago my father told me a single twig breaks easily at the grip of a child but many twigs together can stand to the grip of an adult, this peace of wisdom is meant to reflect unity among everyone not just of this city and our nation but all of us as the heroes who took back this nation are none other than these brave souls."

People began to clap as Mario, Cappy and Yoshi took to the stage but some looked at the Kong's with contempt "Hey these are Kong's they want to destroy us like last time!"

"Yeah they most than likely just booted Roy out to earn our favour!"

"Get them out of here my dad died because of them!"

Mario's eyes hardened into a glare at this but Donkey patted his shoulders as he approached Pauline's stand as she made way for him allowing him to look at the people who kept booing him and hurling insults as well as hatred at him "It's true."

That one sentence despite it's shortage stopped many of the haters "It's true all of it that you just said, long ago people from this nation had attacked our jungle and killed many of our brethren and captured our chieftain parading him like a trophy."

Some especially those that were too young to remember or were born after felt a tinge in their chests "It's true he retaliated in a horrible manner which severed ties between us but as madam Pauline just said no one alone can stand to a great force no matter how small it feels it's only by being together that these odds were overcame, Roy Koopa tried to take over our jungle numerous times but all we can do is turn him back as he kept returning with larger numbers that were too much for me to handle it felt like a matter of time before we too fall to them but Mario of the Super Mario bros descendant of Marco hero of the Mushroom Kingdom son of Higgins hero of New Donk city had came to my side and helped me."

Mario stepped forwards which confirmed to the people the truth of Donkey's words "Mario despite everything I just mentioned was overwhelmed and even defeated at the hands of Roy Koopa had I not came to his aid even though I was forbidden from doing so by my father the previous chieftain and many Kong's who carry his bitterness right now we are faced with a greater threat than any of us can stand to along therefore let us leave the grudges of the past to the past and live our present but most important of all pave our future!"

None spoke after this as one brave man the same man who accused the Kong's of his father's death clapped it was a contagious clap as the people around him clapped as well spreading all over the crowd, Donkey stepped back allowing Pauline to take to the stand again as she began to speak Mario slapped his back "Wow never knew you could make a speech this complicated."

"Cappy helped with it" Donkey pointed the flying Bonneter whom eyes looked ready to fall out.

"It was tough to get this guy to memorize everything."

"Couldn't Cappy write it down for Donkey Kong?" Yoshi asked.

"DK can't read" Diddy revealed.

"Heroes please step forwards" Pauline stated as they did so she had medallions in her hands which she then began putting on them "On behalf of my people and my nation except these with the utmost of honours."

Mario and the other's nodded as they and Pauline returned to the backstage area to collect themselves as Mario looked at his mother "What happened with Wario?"

"He's currently being held in our max security prison I'll talk to him soon telling him what I told you hopefully whatever grudges he has will put to rest and our family can be one again with you, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi" Pauline answered as she looked towards her son's questioning gaze "Something the matter?"

"No it's just something came to me just now, with all of the revelations as well as the fight with Roy Koopa I forgot to ask you this."

"What is it?"

"You said other from dad and Wario's dad there was a third survivor where are they now?"

Pauline held her chest in pain as she looked down "Rose I don't know just one day she up and disappeared on us, your father and uncle Tony looked all over for her but they never found her even now I don't know weather she's okey or not."

"I'll look for her when all of this is over" Mario assured as Pauline nodded with a smile.

A/N: Wow never thought I would write speeches in this story but it does match the theme of this chapter of unity, hope this conclusion was satisfying as the next update would return to Luigi and his side of things as once he defeats the Koopaling in his part the reunion of the brothers in the Mushroom Kingdom will be played for the penultimate finality of this story before the finality of Bowser's final battle.
