A.N/ Hello once again! First I want to address a question about birth dates. In this story Harry was born during James and Lilys 7th year. From what I found on google they graduated in 1978. So their seventh year spanned the last half of 1977 and the first half of 1978. Harry was born early 1978. So January-March, I don't want to set a specific date just yet in case I want to do something special for the date and since I do this on the fly it'll have to come to me naturally. I do have specific events planned out though it's just a matter of what chapter and how I want time to pass. The other thing was Tonks's birth. I'm canon she's born in 1973 but in this she was born 1976 so she's two years older than Harry. To the user who asked about that I hope this cleared it up. Anyway let's get to it. I own nothing.

Chapter 5- He's Gone

As he enters his tent he took his shirt off and laid in his cot. Reaching over he grabbed a portrait of him, his wife and Harry. It was taken the day Harry was blood adopted and officially became a Prowler. Placing kiss on his wife and son he put the portrait back on the stand and readied for sleep. "I'll find you son, I promise."

Camelot finally came into view as Tiberius and his men rode down the path. The great marble castle towered over the surrounding landscape. The great walls surrounding the city were well over seventy feet high and crawling with guards and archers, large battle scars littered the great walls telling stories of wars and battles of the past. Large banners hung beside the large iron gates each displaying the Pendragon family crest, the sword in the stone. The image had been the coat of arms for the Pendragon family since the days of King Arthur himself. It was a sight to behold and one of the most beautiful cities in Avalon, second to only Falls End of course. His home would always be the most beautiful in his biased opinion. As they approached the gates the guards on top yelled at their comrades to open the gates. The large iron doors creaked and clanked as the swing open. Camelot had never been successfully invaded and these giant iron behemoths were a larger reason why.

After they had passed through the gates they stopped and took in the sights of the city. Citizens dashed all over the place buying wares from merchants. Traders from all over the lands sold exotic trinkets and jewelry. Many sold exotic pets and livestock such as aurochs, dire wolves and phoenixes. They weren't here to shop however, they were here on official business. Tiberius had called a lords meeting, he had to know if any of the other lords had heard from or seen Harry since his disappearance.

As they continued on their path to the castle they had to weave through the crowd. Salesmen tried to peddle their wares and beggars asked for a gold septum for a hot meal or for a place to bed. Normally Tiberius would indulge the merchants and hand over a few coins but today he had no patience for the people. Finally the group made it to the inner walls that surrounded the actual castle. Like the main wall it was crawling with guards. Once their credentials were in place the guards lowered the draw bridge that separated the city from the castle. Tiberius dismissed his men letting them head off into the city to do any shopping they wanted while he was in the meeting.

When he crossed the bridge he was greeted by a familiar face. Sir Essex was Lord Pendragon's captain of the guard and a good friend of Tiberius. They had fought in the great war against Lord Sanders when they were young men. He was quite a bit shorter than Tiberius and much leaner. His chocolate brown eyes and clean shaven face gave the man an innocent look. When he saw the Prowler lord the man spread his arms wide and a large smile split his face. "Tiberius my friend, so good to see you!" The two clasped arms in a warriors embrace. "It's been far too long. How are Sereen and young Harry? Is the boy not with you?" The man craned his neck to look behind the larger man.

"I'm afraid Harry is the reason I've called this meeting, Rodric. My boy disappeared little over a week ago. I've come here to see if anyone has seen or heard from him." Rodric took a step back in disbelief. "By the gods. Do you have any idea what happened?"

Tiberius shook his head as the two walked into the castle. "There were no clues. Whatever happened though Harry fought back. His room was in a state like a war had been fought." The two stopped at the doors to the round table room. (A.N/ Idk what to call it honestly. Conference room sounded to modern.) Rodric placed his hand on his friends shoulder. "I'll pray to the gods for your family Tiberius. I want you to come to my house for dinner one night while you're here. I'll have Briene prepare a good lamb roast for you. Some food and drink in friendly company would do you some good." The man walked away with his head down.

Tiberius took a moment to straighten his robes before he walked into the round table room. When he did all talking stopped and heads turned his way. Lord Pendragon stood was he walked towards the table. The lord of house Pendragon was an average sized man, standing at just at 6 feet. His long blonde hair was in tight braids on the sides before being tied into a pony tail. Piercing blue eyes and a short beard complement his handsome face. "Ah Tiberius, good to see you. Though I'm assuming since you called an emergency lords meeting this isn't a social visit." The two clasped hands. "No unfortunately Artie this isn't a social call."

"Where's young Harry, Tiberius? It's custom for the lords of the table to bring their heirs." Lord Hofferson spoke from his seat. He was a huge burly man as were the people of the northern territories. Long brown hair and a long bushy beard hid most of his features. "Did the boy run off to chase the young lasses of Camelot?" The man gave a loud chuckle.

"Harry is the subject of this meeting." Tiberius walked around his table over to his seat. "Just over a week ago my son disappeared. He went to bed just as any other night but never emerged from his room the next morning. When I went to check on him I found his room in a state like a great storm went through it. Furniture was thrown about, his bed overturned, books and paper strung about the floor." Tiberius looked at the other lords as he told the story. "I called this meeting hoping my son had made any contact with you or your heirs and heiresses."

A hush fell over the room as the words sunk in. "I haven't heard from Harry we all gathered for the heirs meeting." Heads turned to Simon Von, heir to house Von.

"He wrote me just over a week ago." Athena Graymore spoke in a whisper. Tears streaking down the poor girls face. "He had Aurora deliver me a letter, he was going to take me to see the dragons hatching."

Athena was Harry's betrothed and one of his best friends as a child. A contract written when Harry first appeared by Tiberius and lord Graymore stating that house Prowler and house Graymore would marry if one house failed to have a male heir. Lord Graymore's wife had died at childbirth when having young Athena and his loyalty to his wife stopped him from ever remarrying.

In is state of panic over the last week Tiberius had forgotten his future daughter in law. The poor girl should've known that day instead of finding out in this manner.

"Speaking of the Aurora, could she find Harry? Phoenixes can travel great distances after all, maybe she could find him." Heir Pendragon, another one of Harry's close friends spoke. Tiberius slumped his shoulders. "Unfortunately Aurora is indisposed at the moment. Her and her mate Fawkes just completed their first mating ceremony together. Right now their magic is very unstable, I doubt she'd have the power to make the trip here let alone to Harry." He sank down into his chair.

"Tiberius, you are lord of creatures right? Can't you just command a random phoenix and make it find Harry? Surely any phoenix should be able to find him, he's connected to your family magic just as you are since he shares the lord title with you." Artie Pendragon spoke up again. This seemed like a good idea if the mumbling in the room was any indication.

"It's worth a shot. I'd try anything if it helps me get my son back." Tiberius stood from his chair and closed his eyes. The room watched as the man caught fire with low flames covering his entire body. Their foreheads were beading with sweat as the flames grew and the room heated up. It didn't last long however as the Prowler lord let out a fierce screech similar to a phoenix's.

The flames died down and a large ball of fire appeared in the middle of the table. When the flames receded there stood a beautiful large phoenix, red feathers that turned to gold at the tips covered its body and beautiful golden eyes that pierced your soul along with a pitch black beak formed its face. It scanned the room eyeing everyone before it faced Tiberius. Spreading its wings out wide the flaming bird bowed. When it rose from its bow it chipped to the Prowler lord.

"My Lord, I'm honored to answer your call. I am Goldfeather." Only Tiberius could understand the bird but thankfully he didn't have to chirp back so the group could understand him. Tiberius gave the bird a slight bow. "The honor is mine Goldfeather, I called you here for help. My son has recently disappeared and I was hoping you would be able to locate him."

The phoenix lowered his head. "I'm sorry my lord but the other lord is gone. His magic is completely severed from this world. There's no way I could locate him even if I wanted to. Every creature felt his disappearance, from the small plimpkims to the great serpents in the seas. We all felt the pain of the connection breaking." Tiberius fell back in his chair at the news, tears welled in his eyes. His boy was truly gone.

"Th-thank you, Goldfeather." The phoenix bowed once again before flaming away. "My boy is gone." The group looked at the lord in shock. "His magic severed from this world, it can only mean one thing." They all knew what Tiberius meant. Harry was dead and house Prowler was to go extinct. One of the major families of Avalon, one of the founders was going to be no more. The heirs and heiresses all gathered around Athena comforting the poor girl as she lost her betrothed.

As the heirs and heiresses left the room to mourn and comfort their friend the lords stayed and did the same. "I'm sorry Tiberius. I won't pretend to know what it's like to lose a child, but we all feel your pain. Harry was a good young man." Lord Pendragon spoke.

"Aye a fine lad he was. A son to be proud of. He appeared a scared scrawny little welp, and you made a strong man out of him." Lord Hofferson agreed. One by one the lords gave their condolences.

"Thank you all lads. I think I'll head home and be with my wife. This news just might finish her off but she deserves to know." He stood and walked towards the door. "Tiberius you don't have to leave just yet, you're more than welcome to stay the night. Might do you some good." Lord Pendragon called to the man.

"Thank you Artie but I'd rather go home. I have preparations to get ready. I may not have my boys body but he'll get a proper Prowler funeral." Then man left the room.

Tiberius gathered his men and left the city that evening. His men somber as they rode, the news broke their spirits. Tiberius trotted along, his mind wondering and his thoughts on his son. Memories of his boy flooded his brain, birthday parties, holidays, tournaments, play dates with the other heirs. It was painful for the man. He blinked the tears from his eyes. The worst part of it all was he didn't even know what happened that night. He couldn't avenge his boy and he couldn't lay him to rest like he deserved. He could only hope that his son hadn't suffered.

Hogwarts

"The Falsssssse one awakened roughly me fifty yearssssss ago. I was forssssssed to attack a sssstudent leading to her demissssse. My massster would be mosssst disssspleased with me. I wassss born to protect the sssstudentssss from harm." Eerie hissing filled the chamber as the basilisk spoke. " I am mossst asssshamed of mysssself. My lonelinesssss got the besssst of me and I fell for his honeyed wordssss."

Harry put his hand under the giant serpents chin and lifted her head. "He used dark magic against you. You poor thing you never stood a chance. What happened was not your fault. Anyone would have fallen for his tricks. So don't beat yourself up." The basilisk visibly relaxed. "I have to go now, I promise I'll come back to visit you. And please go outside, a beautiful creature such as yourself should be out where she can be seen."

The snake made a noice of contentment as he scratched her chin. "I ssssshall my lord. Thank you for easssssing my troublessssss. The guilt hasssss been eating me for yearsssssss." Harry gave the snake a nod and left the chamber. Turning into a bird he easily left the tunnels and flew out in the girls bathroom where he was met with a pair a pale blue eyes.

"Hello Harry Prowler." A sweet sing song voice greeted him. The girl was very small barely standing 5 feet tall with long platinum blonde hair. Her pale skin made her seem almost like a ghost. Curiously she had a pair of radish earrings and a butterbeer cap necklace. She also wasn't wearing a shoes...and was reading a magazine upside down.

Harry changed back from a bird and stood before the strange girl. "I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage, miss?"

"Oh, Im Luna. Luna Lovegood." She gave him a small courtesy. "You can call me loony if you'd like, that's what everyone else calls me." Can't imagine why. He chastised himself for the thought.

"I'll just call you Luna if it's alright with you. Unless you want to be called Loony." The girl put her finger on her chin as if thinking it over.

"I think I'd much prefer to be called Luna. You'd be the only one in school besides the teachers to call me by my actual name." The last part was said with a hint of sadness and it cut right through Harry. Girls always seemed to know how to push the right buttons for Harry to do whatever they wanted. The girls back in Avalon got him in trouble plenty of times using this tactic but it's never not worked yet.

"I'll talk to a few people and see if we can't get that taken care of. Most of the students are still scared of me so I can use that to my advantage." The small girl rushed him and wrapped him in a tight embrace. "Thank you." It was barely a whisper but he heard it none the less. When the small girl finally let go small tear marks were left on his shirt.

"It'll be nice to have a friend here at school. I've never had a friend." Once again his heart broke for the girl. "Goodnight, Harry." He gave her a wave as she left the bathroom.

Deciding bed sounded nice Harry headed towards the magic room. As he walked he thought of the events of the past week. Tonks took him shopping for more clothes, the girl was just as goofy as he remembered her and by the time they were done he was ready to throw her off a cliff. The Bones girl was still clinging to his side whenever she could and it was a little bit weird in his opinion. He'd had dinner with the Potters. He'd told them stories of Avalon and his family and friends there. They'd then spent the evening just getting to know each other. Being separated all those years left a lot to catch up on.

He'd joined a few of the classes, professors McGonagall and Flitwick were absolute geniuses in transfiguration and charms. He spent time with Sirius in defense but was mostly helping the man as he was already a master at the art. He'd even started to get to know the other champions. Krum and Diggory were nice enough but the French half Veela seemed tense around him. She'd get used to him soon enough though.

The door to the magic room instantly appeared as he approached. As he entered he took his shirt off and changed. Standing where he once stood now was a large eagle. He spread his large wings and launched himself into the air, taking a few laps around the room he softly landed in his hammock before changing back to normal. He was enjoying his time here so far but he still longed for a way back to Avalon. As he drifted off to sleep he thought of his friends and family wondering what they were doing.

A.N/ And another chapter down! This one will be the last one in Avalon for a bit as we'll be focusing more on Harry and the tournament again. But I put in some good future plot points like maybe a possible way for the two worlds to connect? And what about that betrothal to a heiress in Avalon? All that is insignificant however with the arrival of the best girl in the series, one Luna Lovegood! I don't think I'm gonna have her be a love interest of Harry, I'm thinking just a little sister/big brother dynamic but if you guys want the romance let me know. Anyway I want to thank you all again for the favorites and follows. Thank all of you who reviewed I do read them and take them into account. I hope you all have a good weekend and I'll see you next week!
